- [12:05] Alexa Linden: Here is today's agenda [1]
- [12:05] Kona Linden: let's get this party started...!
- [12:05] Geo Meek: Hello Rod
- [12:05] Kona Linden: First puppy: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-3969
- [12:05] Morgaine Dinova: Hi Open
- [12:05] Geo Meek: sorry Rob
- [12:05] Kona Linden: Simulators Getting Listed in CBL DNSBL
- [12:06] Soft Linden: Ah, ops just dealt with these
- [12:06] Kona Linden: linked to a ton of jiras already...
- [12:06] Soft Linden: JAS and I'll find the internal one you can link to
- [12:07] Alexa Linden: and covered rescently... Gigs did update it (comments) after I talked to him
- [12:07] Kona Linden: so shall we even bother importing then?
- [12:07] Soft Linden: Kona / Alexa - I'd not import, just add a comment to OPSRT-1722
- [12:07] Geo Meek: and wast bandwith
- [12:07] Moon Metty: i've had 2 periods without email from SL
- [12:07] WolfPup Lowenhar: hey rob
- [12:07] Alexa Linden: ok
- [12:07] Kona Linden: there ya have it then...next puppy
- [12:07] Moon Metty: the 2nd period was shorter
- [12:08] Kona Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-2489
- [12:08] Kona Linden: Group - Abilities - Parcel Powers - Always Allow 'Create Object' is being ignored.
- [12:08] Alexa Linden: it looks like it was re-opened
- [12:08] Soft Linden: Ouch - if this is real, that's horrible for malls, etc
- [12:09] Alexa Linden: but harleen says the person reopening it has a different issue?
- [12:09] xstorm Radek: i have seen this yes
- [12:09] Dessie Linden: branch says server(?)
- [12:09] Kona Linden: ...Andrew is on it
- [12:09] Gordon Wendt: seems like a lot of that one is already covered in various feature requests such as the "must have tag active to rez" restriction
- [12:10] Morgaine Dinova: Hi Prospero
- [12:10] Prospero Linden: hola
- [12:10] Prospero Linden: is late
- [12:10] Gordon Wendt: lol, we won't give you detention or anything Prospero :)
- [12:10] Squirrel Wood: ya.. the "must have tag active" is annoying
- [12:10] Jo Xevion: im very angry
- [12:10] Prospero Linden: As long as I'm not "the late prospero linden"....
- [12:10] Kona Linden: buenos dias, senor Prospero
- [12:11] Gordon Wendt: it is but I don't think that's the bug being reported here, I don't entirely understand what the bug is though
- [12:11] Kona Linden: So if Andrew is addressing this already, is there any need for us to do more, Alexa?
- [12:11] Prospero Linden: (which JIRA are we on?)
- [12:11] Soft Linden: I think we should import this and send it to Rx with the note that it seems to be working, but the role-ability label is confusing.
- [12:11] Gellan Glenelg: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-2489
- [12:11] Jo Xevion: i have 1 questions
- [12:11] Kona Linden: TY Gellan
- [12:11] Entering god: mode, level 150
- [12:12] Morgaine Dinova: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-2489 Prospero
- [12:12] Soft Linden: ie - it should be clear that this only applies to group-owned land, not just land with a group set
- [12:12] Jo Xevion: i have a questions
- [12:12] Alexa Linden: I'll take Jo in IM
- [12:12] Dessie Linden: what is your question, Jo?
- [12:12] Jo Xevion: my questions is
- [12:12] Alexa Linden: I have it Dessie
- [12:12] Jo Xevion: emmmmm
- [12:12] Alexa Linden: in IM please
- [12:12] Jo Xevion: i don't speak english
- [12:12] Dessie Linden: Oops... sorry Alexa
- [12:13] Kona Linden: Love it...mass confusion cause we have too many Lindens...nice change...lol
- [12:13] Bridie Linden: lol
- [12:13] Geo Meek: :-)
- [12:13] Prospero Linden: 's question is, whose idea was it that the mouse wheel and the middle mouse button should be the same thing, so you often can't scroll-roll without accidentally middle-clicking?
- [12:13] Phillip Vought: I know.. its like theres a noffice full of them or something :)
- [12:13] Soft Linden: SVC-2489 - import for Rx to suggest a clearer role-ability label?
- [12:13] Gordon Wendt: Fun to watch at least Kona
- [12:13] Avatar ejected.:
- [12:13] Geo Meek: truth is there is never enuff Lindends
- [12:13] Morgaine Dinova: Welcome to concurrency bugs and race conditions, Dessie :P
- [12:14] Kona Linden: Kk, import to RX it is then....
- [12:14] Gordon Wendt: Geo, well the keey quiting.... I mean "leaving the company"
- [12:14] Kona Linden: next puppy...
- [12:14] Squirrel Wood: "middle mouse button" always fails to work on my logitech mouse :p
- [12:14] Geo Meek: i wonder why
- [12:14] Kona Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-391
- [12:14] Kona Linden: llEmail and llHTTPRequest do not handle non-ASCII characters
- [12:14] Prospero Linden: woah... a 3 digit issue
- [12:14] Geo Meek: no balls
- [12:14] Prospero Linden: AH
- [12:14] Geo Meek: ?
- [12:14] Prospero Linden: Soembody was metioning this at the beta server office horus
- [12:14] Soft Linden: Ah, yeah.
- [12:14] Gordon Wendt: I don't care to speculate on that at least in public
- [12:15] Soft Linden: This can just go in for core triage, yeah.
- [12:15] Gordon Wendt: I'm guessing by ASCII characters they mean nonstandard characters?
- [12:15] Geo Meek: thats up to you
- [12:15] Prospero Linden: Gordon : Unicode type stuff.
- [12:15] Gordon Wendt: ah
- [12:15] Kona Linden: accented words
- [12:15] Prospero Linden: ASCII can often mean different things :) There's the core everybody suports, there's the 7-bits that most people agree on, and there may be an 8-bit ASCII most people agree on....
- [12:15] Gordon Wendt: not surprising, it seems everytime something like this is brought in or changed it breaks unicode
- [12:16] WolfPup Lowenhar: thing list alt+0168
- [12:16] Gordon Wendt: a bit off topic but even World of Warcraft has various issues with special chars and non standard roman characters
- [12:16] Gordon Wendt: non-roman rather
- [12:16] Geo Meek: we need more loins to feed to the cristunes
- [12:16] Soft Linden: crazy - I was sure the llemail/llhttprequest issue would be JIRA'd internally. Not so.
- [12:17] Kona Linden: Import then?
- [12:17] Soft Linden: Yup!
- [12:17] Alexander9 Carver: hello alexa
- [12:17] Soft Linden: It should really be two issues though.
- [12:17] Geo Meek: hehe
- [12:17] WolfPup Lowenhar: < wishes he knew how pwopl spaming groups are getiing special chars in
- [12:17] Alexa Linden: Hi Alexander
- [12:17] Soft Linden: So maybe import, then make children for llhttprequest and llemail
- [12:17] Kona Linden: Import it is then
- [12:17] Alexa Linden: welcome to our Bug Triage
- [12:17] Soft Linden: Different people are likely to handle the two.
- [12:18] Alexander9 Carver: can i have your linden bear please?
- [12:18] Alexa Linden: you are welcome to sit and listen in
- [12:18] Alexander9 Carver: accepted your inventory offer.
- [12:18] Soft Linden: If you want to assign it to me when imported, I can make the children and mark up the differences.
- [12:18] Gordon Wendt: Wolf, at least they fixed the special chars causing various things to get stuck bugs in notices and emails
- [12:18] Alexa Linden: sorry- 391 import?
- [12:18] Alexander9 Carver: ty i collect linden bears
- [12:18] Alexa Linden: ok
- [12:18] Soft Linden: Yup!
- [12:18] Kona Linden: Next up...PATCHES
- [12:18] Kona Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-12620
- [12:18] Kona Linden: Viewer build fails on Linux when compiled with -O2 (--type=Release)
- [12:18] WolfPup Lowenhar: < want linden bears as well >:)
- [12:19] Alexa Linden: after the meeting please :)
- [12:19] Phillip Vought: folks.. hows about we wait until the end for the bears :)
- [12:19] Alexa Linden: then you can IM us
- [12:19] Soft Linden: yeah, this one's valid
- [12:19] Gordon Wendt: this isn't the one that's been bouncing around sldev is it?
- [12:19] Kona Linden: IM me directly and I'll pass on my Linden Bear for you collectors here =)
- [12:19] Soft Linden: If you want to import and assign to me - this is just a 2 second thing.
- [12:19] Alexa Linden: ok
- [12:19] Opensource Obscure: not the one I posted about, Gordon, but I think I got this too.
- [12:19] Kona Linden: awesome
- [12:20] Jo Xevion: ho il traduttore
- [12:20] Opensource Obscure: great Soft
- [12:20] Kona Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-12631
- [12:20] Kona Linden: Provide a setting to adjust the maximum size of objects displayed on the minimap
- [12:20] Soft Linden: oh, sex on a rollercoaster!
- [12:20] Alexa Linden: O.o
- [12:20] Das Wade: :P
- [12:20] Soft Linden: This should go to Rx for approval. But we really want this :)
- [12:20] Gordon Wendt: feature request?
- [12:20] Gellan Glenelg: I like this!
- [12:20] Aimee Trescothick: :)
- [12:20] Gordon Wendt: yeah, cool idea
- [12:20] Alexander9 Carver: whats rx?
- [12:20] Uni Ninetails: pleasseee!!
- [12:20] Soft Linden: So many regions have megaprims that utterly destroy the mini map
- [12:21] Kona Linden: import to RX it is then!
- [12:21] Alexa Linden: Resident Experience
- [12:21] Jo Xevion: signori linden
- [12:21] Uni Ninetails: like mine coughs...
- [12:21] Jo's translator: Gentlemen linden
- [12:21] Gellan Glenelg: Resident eXperience, Alexander
- [12:21] Alexa Linden: ok
- [12:21] Jo Xevion: signori linde
- [12:21] Jo's translator: Gentlemen linde
- [12:21] Alexander9 Carver: o
- [12:21] Jo Xevion: linden*
- [12:21] Jo's translator: linden *
- [12:21] Soft Linden: We might want to just pick a size instead of exposing a preference, but still.
- [12:21] Opensource Obscure: this would be cool - thanks Aimee
- [12:21] Jo Xevion: i have one questions
- [12:21] Jo's translator: i have one questions
- [12:21] Jo Xevion: quidni!
- [12:21] Jo's translator: Then!
- [12:21] Jo Xevion: una risposta
- [12:21] Jo's translator: a response
- [12:21] Kona Linden: K, so we're onto the Misc Pool...YAY
- [12:21] Avatar ejected.:
- [12:21] Soft Linden: Ah, coded by Aimee too. Thanks! :)
- [12:22] Kona Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-8865
- [12:22] Aimee Trescothick: takes a bow
- [12:22] Aimee Trescothick: lol
- [12:22] Kona Linden: Client Sound Stutter Bug
- [12:22] Gordon Wendt: I like Aimee's other idea mentioned in the issue about ground coverage too but she's right in that it would require a lot mroe computation
- [12:22] Gordon Wendt: oh sorry Aimee, didn't realize you were here or I would have adressed that directly to you
- [12:22] Aimee Trescothick: yeah, the way objects are shown is a bit of a compromise between showing them live vs. accurately
- [12:23] Aimee Trescothick: without causing too much client lag
- [12:23] Alexa Linden: ok - sorry IM issues... I'll need to catch up via chat logs
- [12:23] Kona Linden: no worries
- [12:24] Das Wade: i get the VWR-8865 only on 2 occasions
- [12:24] Das Wade: high network activity and opening the map
- [12:24] WolfPup Lowenhar: that seems to be more on the server and data flow sides cause i have seen this one as well with the audio streams
- [12:25] Kona Linden: *wondering if we're still supporting ATI radeon 9800s...hmmm
- [12:25] Das Wade: I guessed ity was local bandwidth
- [12:25] Soft Linden: I'm wondering if they have the crazy Soundblaster effects on. Those fail miserably if they don't get enough CPU time.
- [12:25] WolfPup Lowenhar: < useing a nvida gforce 6600GT 2556MB vid card
- [12:25] Squirrel Wood: 9800s aren't *that* old yet, are they?
- [12:26] WolfPup Lowenhar: < using idt onboard audio card
- [12:26] Kona Linden: ATI radeon 9800s are 5 years old
- [12:26] Morgaine Dinova: Don't confuse with nVidia 9800, that's new :P
- [12:26] Kona Linden: yep, TY Morgaine
- [12:26] Kona Linden: in fact, I don't think ATI is supporting that card anymore
- [12:27] Soft Linden: They say it even happens with SL minimized, so that would rule out CPU load. Hrm.
- [12:27] xstorm Radek: nope
- [12:27] Soft Linden: Should we pass on this one unless it gets more votes? It stinks, but this looks like a dev could waste a -lot- of time trying to repro without more details.
- [12:27] Moon Metty: vwr-5574 causes a lot of CPU time
- [12:28] Moon Metty: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-5574
- [12:28] Kona Linden: But Sawera claims to thave the same issue...and she's on a supported Nvidia dard
- [12:28] Kona Linden: card
- [12:28] WolfPup Lowenhar: how about adding need more information
- [12:29] WolfPup Lowenhar: that was ment for the previous issue
- [12:29] Geo Meek: you may need a hobo computer?
- [12:29] Kona Linden: Wolfpup, not VWR-8865?
- [12:30] Soft Linden: Pretty sure wolfpup menat VWR-8865, not the one Moon linked
- [12:30] Soft Linden: Client Sound Stutter bug
- [12:30] WolfPup Lowenhar: yes for https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-8865
- [12:30] Opensource Obscure: (Isn't 100% activity expected when such an application is running in foreground?)
- [12:30] Squirrel Wood: I still recommend driver updates whereever possible
- [12:30] Soft Linden: Opensource - on the issue Moon linked, both cores at 100% would be unexpected
- [12:30] Kona Linden: +1 Squirrel
- [12:30] Squirrel Wood: ^^
- [12:31] Squirrel Wood: sound drivers, chipset, graphics.
- [12:31] WolfPup Lowenhar: < keep his systme uptodate as far as drivers are concenred
- [12:31] Das Wade: I would like ot know the ping sim when this happens
- [12:31] Kona Linden: I'd dump that ATI 9800 just on principal =)
- [12:31] Squirrel Wood: Most people don't though
- [12:31] Kona Linden: Shall we import it and see if the devs have more insight on this issue?
- [12:32] Morgaine Dinova: Core2Duo here, x86/Ubuntu, and htop never shows official 1.22.11 client pegged. It's at 65% on one core only right now here, 20 FPS on nVidia 9800. Other core idle.
- [12:32] Geo Meek: any video cards that are not needed i well pay shipping just IM me
- [12:33] Kona Linden: k, let's just import this one, Alexa
- [12:33] Alexa Linden: ok
- [12:33] Kona Linden: next puppy...
- [12:33] Soft Linden: I wouldn't import
- [12:33] Alexa Linden: and which one is that please
- [12:33] Alexa Linden: Im hell :\
- [12:33] Kona Linden: Soft, what do you recommend?
- [12:33] Soft Linden: A dev isn't going to be able to repro with the information there. I'd ask for more info, or at least wait for more votes
- [12:33] Alexa Linden: IM*
- [12:34] Soft Linden: If it's imported, it's going to sit in a pile forever as it is.
- [12:34] Moon Metty: ask for information on CPU time
- [12:34] Alexa Linden: ty
- [12:34] Kona Linden: kk, sounds good
- [12:34] Alexa Linden: thanks
- [12:34] Alexa Linden: all caught up
- [12:34] Morgaine Dinova: Yes, ask for more data points.
- [12:35] Kona Linden: I was figuring there was enough feedback on that one...but more info is better
- [12:35] Kona Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-12604
- [12:35] Kona Linden: Running SL with Advanced menu and Hi rez snapshot to disk set , crashes when you take a snapshot to disk
- [12:35] Soft Linden: This one is DEV-21001
- [12:35] Soft Linden: You can just link it up to that.
- [12:36] Kona Linden: want me to do that, Alexa?
- [12:36] Morgaine Dinova: Ouch, hehe. Well that should be easy to repro.
- [12:36] Alexa Linden: I can :)
- [12:36] Kona Linden: kk
- [12:36] Kona Linden: next puppy then....
- [12:36] Kona Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-11930
- [12:36] Kona Linden: Teleporting either Disconnects or Crashes SL
- [12:36] Soft Linden: Harleen got this as a dupe already :)
- [12:36] xstorm Radek: eeewww
- [12:37] Kona Linden: ouch
- [12:37] Squirrel Wood: how much data has to be serialized there ?
- [12:37] Gordon Wendt: my suggestion, create a seperate system just for teleport crashes and issues, it would be full within a couple of days
- [12:37] xstorm Radek: i have had that happen
- [12:38] xstorm Radek: seems to happen more on lagy sims
- [12:38] Moon Metty: yes Storm
- [12:38] Please Return: Me! There Is No Autoreturn Here!: Hello, Avatar!
- [12:39] Kona Linden: Hmm...anyone else experienced this first hand?
- [12:39] Morgaine Dinova: I expect that everyone has a bunch of stories about teleport failures. There's probably some fundamental problem in that area, but what.
- [12:39] Phillip Vought: I have a horribly high sim transfer load on my AV and I've not seen this specific problem, lots of failed transfers and slow border crossings.. but never this
- [12:39] Kerry Giha: Every time it has done this for me I notice the region I was in Has the correct Sim Name but the Incorrect Parcel name. Then when I tp I get logged out of SL.
- [12:39] Gordon Wendt: Kona, I have but only in cases where there's lag on my end or on LL's end and beyond that nothing I could pin down
- [12:39] Alexa Linden: Phillip, is your AV loaded with color change scripts?
- [12:39] Kona Linden: ...yeah, this may be another NMI situations then
- [12:39] Kerry Giha: There was a JIRA on that somewhere
- [12:39] Soft Linden: Is there a reason to stay on this? It's a duplicate of a known issue and doesn't add new data.
- [12:40] Alexa Linden: for the tail, mane, etc?
- [12:40] xstorm Radek: :-)
- [12:40] Geo Meek: voice is broke for me all the time
- [12:40] xstorm Radek: lost tail ?
- [12:40] Gordon Wendt: I think the problem with these issues is that they're so hard to pin down at least on our end
- [12:40] Kona Linden: true...Alexa, do we just close these as dupes since it's already reported then?
- [12:40] Squirrel Wood: has a camera issue here at https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-12597 for all of ye to chew on later AFTER the triage. It has 720p video attached.
- [12:40] Alexa Linden: yes
- [12:40] Phillip Vought: Alexa.. no.. but scripted and prim heavy
- [12:40] Alexa Linden: thanks Phillip
- [12:41] Kona Linden: k, next puppy then...
- [12:41] Geo Meek: voice?
- [12:41] Morgaine Dinova: I've had border crossings after which my client's notion of which sim it's in is different to SL's notion. Other people say "There you are, in sim X", whereas I see myself sitting in sim Y. Handover is a risky time.
- [12:41] xstorm Radek: Geo thats do to voice server and the OS permistions
- [12:41] Kona Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-12070
- [12:41] Kona Linden: Critical framerate drop with voice enabled.
- [12:41] Geo Meek: is there a fix?
- [12:42] Soft Linden: I retitled this, since "Lag" was vague/misleading
- [12:42] Alexa Linden: :)
- [12:42] Squirrel Wood: setting task priority - does that "fix" it ?`
- [12:42] Geo Meek: can't say
- [12:42] Gordon Wendt: specs are up there enough so it shouldn't be their system not being able to run voice and the client well
- [12:42] xstorm Radek: i have seen a lot of problems with the user software voice permisions getting block by the OS of the users PC
- [12:43] Soft Linden: Was Kitten okay on previous viewer versions?
- [12:43] Alexa Linden: good question
- [12:43] Prospero Linden: was AFK for the last 20 minutes, hopes he didn't miss anything he was needed for
- [12:43] Alexa Linden: lol, you're fine :)
- [12:43] Geo Meek: CPU: Intel Core 2 Series Processor (2393 MHz)
- Memory: 2558 MB
- OS Version: Microsoft Windows Vista Service Pack 1 (Build 6001)
- Graphics Card Vendor: NVIDIA Corporation
- Graphics Card: GeForce 9500 GT/PCI/SSE2
- OpenGL Version: 3.0.0
- [12:43] Geo Meek: is this good enuff?
- [12:43] Gordon Wendt: Prospero, didn't miss anything, we're on https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-12070 right now
- [12:44] Kerry Giha: "If i go back to the currently client, my voice works with no issues, so only happens on release client." in the Des so I would gather the release works for Kitten
- [12:44] Soft Linden: I just added "Kitten - have you used voice with previous viewer versions, and were they okay for you?"
- [12:44] WolfPup Lowenhar: it could be the ISP limiting data flow might help if new connection type as well
- [12:44] Gordon Wendt: better system than I am running (other than the OS) and I can run it fine so I think so
- [12:44] Alexa Linden: ty soft
- [12:44] Soft Linden: I'll watch it and we can Needs-more-info until Kitten responds
- [12:44] Geo Meek: i have to login with Beta to use voice
- [12:45] Alexa Linden: ok
- [12:45] Alexa Linden: I'll add triage date for now
- [12:45] Soft Linden: If Kitten says it was okay before, I'll import it when I see that.
- [12:45] Alexa Linden: k
- [12:45] Kona Linden: kk...next then
- [12:45] Geo Meek: wow you guys are fast
- [12:45] WolfPup Lowenhar: alexa ask about isp type cable/dsl
- [12:45] Kona Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-3063
- [12:45] Kona Linden: Crash during tp
- [12:45] Alexa Linden: ok
- [12:45] Soft Linden: This is against 1.18
- [12:46] Soft Linden: November 2007
- [12:46] Gordon Wendt: Kona, that's already resolved as NMI
- [12:46] Prospero Linden: yipes
- [12:46] Alexa Linden: and NMI
- [12:46] Geo Meek: i have 10meg's
- [12:46] Morgaine Dinova: lol
- [12:46] Alexa Linden: skip!
- [12:46] Kona Linden: yep
- [12:46] Kona Linden: next one it is...
- [12:46] Alexa Linden: same thing
- [12:46] Kona Linden: kk...lol
- [12:46] Kona Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-12414
- [12:46] Kona Linden: Objects are appearing white or gray instead of intended color.
- [12:47] Kona Linden: ...and with pictures!
- [12:47] Kona Linden: lol
- [12:47] Gellan Glenelg: we discussed this last week....
- [12:47] Soft Linden: On that last one, I think they're also confused on what's the copy and what's the original. The original moves on a shift-copy :)
- [12:47] Kona Linden: yeah we did...
- [12:47] Moon Metty: yep on wednesday
- [12:47] Aimee Trescothick: yeah, looks like lack of shiny if I remember rightly
- [12:47] Alexa Linden: missed it sorry
- [12:47] Dale Glass: Actually, on that one. Do things *have* to appear as grey?
- [12:47] Alexa Linden: NMI will ask
- [12:48] Kona Linden: yep
- [12:48] Kona Linden: NEXT...
- [12:48] Kona Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-3969
- [12:48] Geo Meek: :-)
- [12:48] Kona Linden: Simulators Getting Listed in CBL DNSBL
- [12:48] Gellan Glenelg: did that one already
- [12:48] Moon Metty: deja vu
- [12:48] Kona Linden: dang...
- [12:48] Squirrel Wood: ^^
- [12:48] Kona Linden: lol
- [12:48] WolfPup Lowenhar: -*@ ROFL @*-
- [12:49] Soft Linden: This is the same issue at the top of the agenda page.
- [12:49] Kona Linden: ok that's creepier than my actual laugh
- [12:49] Kona Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-2864
- [12:49] Kona Linden: resolution-independante gui scale isn't affected by window size
- [12:50] Alexa Linden: 2007
- [12:50] Squirrel Wood: still happening ?
- [12:50] Kona Linden: omg
- [12:50] Kona Linden: lol
- [12:50] Alexa Linden: ya, I'd ask that too
- [12:50] Kona Linden: NMI it is...
- [12:50] Alexa Linden: NMI still happening, etc
- [12:50] Kona Linden: next puppy
- [12:51] Kona Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-3516
- [12:51] Squirrel Wood: still happening ?
- [12:51] Kona Linden: Prim contens not refreshing after change in Edit window
- [12:51] WolfPup Lowenhar: are they talking about where the UI windows show up at?
- [12:51] Soft Linden: VWR-2864 could go to Rx for clearer wording on what resolution independence is
- [12:51] WolfPup Lowenhar: and everything on the hud?
- [12:51] Moon Metty: it must be asset server slowness
- [12:51] Opensource Obscure: I'd blame extreme slowness for this, NMI
- [12:51] Gordon Wendt: I don't think there's any documentation on what RI is
- [12:52] Geo Meek: looks like crybabys to me
- [12:52] Soft Linden: I can't repro this either - other than it sometimes being slow
- [12:52] Kona Linden: NMI I say
- [12:52] Bridie Linden: can't repro
- [12:52] Kerry Giha: When I am at home on the sat connection sometimes it takes a while
- [12:52] Soft Linden: Yeah. NMI - and ask him to deselect and re-edit to be sure.
- [12:52] Phillip Vought: Ya.. seen it.. but only when its been a sim under load or asset server sillyness
- [12:52] Kerry Giha: But it shows up eventually
- [12:52] Opensource Obscure: is there an 'accepted' time to update an inventory? : )
- [12:52] Geo Meek: sorry wrong window
- [12:52] Soft Linden: SL over satellite? D:
- [12:52] Kona Linden: lol
- [12:52] Kerry Giha: Hughesnet
- [12:52] Kona Linden: say NO to satellite
- [12:52] Kerry Giha: It works, bearly
- [12:52] WolfPup Lowenhar: it can get slow for the inventory to up date is there is a lot in the prim and a script that monitors the inventory count
- [12:53] Squirrel Wood: so you stuff something into a prim with content in it and all of a sudden it shows "no inventory" ?
- [12:53] Kona Linden: kk...next one: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-9372
- [12:53] Kona Linden: Cannot Email Snapshots
- [12:53] Kona Linden: well this one sux
- [12:53] Squirrel Wood: I think that's an old one
- [12:53] Phillip Vought: CBL related again?
- [12:53] Gordon Wendt: if it's around the same time period may be related to CBL
- [12:53] Squirrel Wood: still happening ?
- [12:53] Gellan Glenelg: it's WAY before CBL problems
- [12:53] Opensource Obscure: sep 08
- [12:53] Gordon Wendt: I know that the CBL issue broke slpics and other services like that
- [12:53] Kona Linden: NMI
- [12:54] Gordon Wendt: oh
- [12:54] Morgaine Dinova: I've actually seen the viewer go into this kind of state re SVC-3561, where changes to prims don't get seen at all. But it's gone away on relog, which suggests that it's a viewer problem, object updates not being accepted.
- [12:54] Soft Linden: On 9372 - I'd ask if it's still happening. The comments are old, and I've sent a few snapshots recently without problem
- [12:54] Alexa Linden: ok
- [12:55] Kona Linden: next puppy...
- [12:55] Geo Meek: wow that was a fast hour
- [12:55] Geo Meek: hehe
- [12:55] Kona Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-2195
- [12:55] Kona Linden: Camera zoom out distance now limited by RenderFarClip. Wasn't before Havok4
- [12:55] Phillip Vought: Kona are you running a puppy mill here ? :P
- [12:55] Squirrel Wood: has a camera issue here at https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-12597 for all of ye to chew on later AFTER the triage. It has 720p video attached.
- [12:55] Moon Metty: this is a old puppy too
- [12:55] Kona Linden: say NO to puppy mills!~
- [12:56] Squirrel Wood: Disable Camera Constraints in the advanced menu checked ?
- [12:56] Squirrel Wood: If not, that may be the cause
- [12:56] Geo Meek: hehe
- [12:56] Gordon Wendt: I've said it before at these meetings, my suggestions to them is to stop screwing with the debug settings
- [12:56] Geo Meek: learn the interface first
- [12:57] Gordon Wendt: if they have to do so to make the viewer run on their system then they should be prepared for the consequences of doing so
- [12:57] Kona Linden: I can't repro this
- [12:57] WolfPup Lowenhar: it might also have to do if they have looked at an object or not
- [12:57] Kona Linden: anyone else have any luck with this?
- [12:57] Geo Meek: good point Kona
- [12:57] WolfPup Lowenhar: becaue if i have use the camera controls i can go back futher than if not
- [12:57] Morgaine Dinova: McCabe's final line seems to the point.
- [12:58] Soft Linden: I can repro this.
- [12:58] Kona Linden: I'm doing this wrong...rofl
- [12:58] Kerry Giha: I think what he is saying the rendering is Avatar Position Dependant not camera position dependant
- [12:58] Geo Meek: no i am
- [12:58] Gellan Glenelg: it repros for me too... but I'm not sure if it's intended behaviour
- [12:58] Squirrel Wood: yes. rendering is avatar pos dependant
- [12:58] Soft Linden: Use advanced->debug settings, set RenderFarClip to 20, hit enter, and then alt-click on something. It's like being on a 20m leash.
- [12:59] Gellan Glenelg: can comtrol is just NASTY with renderfarclip at 20m
- [12:59] Soft Linden: This should import for viewer triage. Pretty sure it's not svc, but vwr
- [12:59] Gordon Wendt: is this setting the same as draw distance or something different?
- [12:59] Opensource Obscure: reporter suggests to link DisableCameraConstraint to RenderFarClip - this would be appreciated by some people to get over 512m Draw Distance
- [12:59] Kona Linden: gah...damn GM...
- [12:59] Gellan Glenelg: yes gordon
- [12:59] Morgaine Dinova: agrees with Soft
- [12:59] Squirrel Wood: wb Rob
- [12:59] Gordon Wendt: ugh, good luck to him then
- [12:59] Kona Linden: yeah, I can repro now
- [12:59] Soft Linden: Have to remember to hit enter if entering a number by hand
- [13:00] WolfPup Lowenhar: question how far away is the wind generater to the west of where we are at?
- [13:00] Soft Linden: The setting doesn't stick until you do.
- [13:00] Gordon Wendt: I'd guess it's intended since he's using a debug to prett much hack the max draw distance down below UI allowed levels
- [13:00] Alexa Linden: It's 1pm
- [13:00] Kona Linden: then import
- [13:00] Alexa Linden: ok
- [13:00] Kona Linden: yep, happy trails folks!
- [13:00] Prospero Linden: waves

- [13:00] Squirrel Wood: Watch me video of camera buggyness :p
- [13:00] Aimee Trescothick: surfs on the wave

- [13:00] Dessie Linden: Bye, everyone!
