Emitters and Properties
A suggestion for the more knowledgeable amongst you. This page could do with having the emitters and properties listed. I am not 100% sure, that's why I am not doing it. There's a sound emitter, particle emitter, light emitter, floating text (emitter?). And properties...hmm... Sound, text, particles, light... Would someone be good enough to add the definitive collection? -- Fred Gandt (talk|contribs) 21:35, 26 January 2010 (UTC)
- Good idea. Why didn't I think of it? I'll get on it when I have some time... which will likely be the weekend. In the mean time if you want to take a crack at it... -- Strife (talk|contribs) 14:03, 27 January 2010 (UTC)
- Hiya Strife. I can't help thinking that even if I got the information right (which I think I would (more or less)) my failing would be presentation. I would have thought that tables and headers would be involved and I'm not so hot with all that stuff. I'll watch what you do and learn from it. Not being lazy, just realistic. -- Fred Gandt (talk|contribs) 20:03, 29 January 2010 (UTC)
- It seems a remote access pin llSetRemoteScriptAccessPin is also a property (at least it remains set in the prim after the script that set it is deleted). I can't imagine it surviving being taken and re-rezzed. Oh cripes! Now I'm going to have to test it aren't I?? -- Fred Gandt (talk|contribs) 12:31, 31 January 2010 (UTC)
How would we record all of these caveats neatly? What are all the possibilities? Should we create a table with Yes/No's? It would be a good idea to have an overview if it is possible to do so cleanly.
- Stored in and rezzed from Inventory
- Script Removal
- Shift-drag-copying

- I table sounds best, each property/attribute with it's own row, the columns being the trials and tribulations they survive. -- Strife (talk|contribs) 17:22, 2 February 2010 (UTC)
Property | Rezzing from inventory | Script Removal | Shift-drag-copy |
---|---|---|---|
Name | X | X | X |
Particles | X | X | |
I forget | X | ||
Awesome! | X |
Thanx for the table expose Strife. I'll get to work on a list of properties. I trust you'll correct any mess I make ;-) -- Fred Gandt (talk|contribs) 22:10, 2 February 2010 (UTC)
Images of native prims
I just added to Primitive page thumbnails for each basic native prim. For each one I also uploaded a different image, that shows both the basic, wood-tinted prim along with an edited, colored version. Those may be found with this search. An example follows below - contact me for any question if needed. --oobscure 13:26, 28 May 2010 (UTC)
