Agenda

  • [14:57] Alexa Linden: Hi Gigs :D
  • [14:57] Multi Gadget: v1.52.0: Rob Linden
  • [14:57] Gigs Taggart: hi
  • [14:57] Daedalus Young: ah yes, I see
  • [14:58] Daedalus Young: hi Gigs
  • [14:58] Gigs Taggart: sorry I didn't do the agenda :)
  • [14:58] Daedalus Young: hi Rob
  • [14:58] Gigs Taggart: I'll clean up what rob put up a little
  • [14:58] Alexa Linden: hi Rob :)
  • [14:58] Rob Linden: hi everyone. I'm filling in for Aric today
  • [14:58] Gigs Taggart: cool
  • [14:59] Alexa Linden: woot
  • [14:59] Rob Linden: Aric is going to need to reschedule these.....turns out there's another longstanding weekly meeting that he needs to start going to
  • [14:59] Alexa Linden: ok
  • [15:00] Gigs Taggart: I'm updating the agenda a little, but I'm not changing the ones near the top
  • [15:00] Gigs Taggart: so you can start, just reload in a minute :)
  • [15:00] Rob Linden: how would you all recommend he go about rescheduling? on the wiki? on sldev? at an undisclosed location in the mountains?
  • [15:01] Alexa Linden: hahaha
  • [15:01] Gigs Taggart: there's still a matrix on the wiki
  • [15:01] Gigs Taggart: that lists what times are good for regulars
  • [15:01] Alexa Linden: I agree
  • [15:01] Daedalus Young: we already have [1] up
  • [15:02] Multi Gadget: v1.52.0: Soft Linden
  • [15:02] Daedalus Young: hi Soft
  • [15:02] Alexa Linden: hey Soft
  • [15:02] Soft Linden: Hey hey!
  • [15:04] Rob Linden: well, not much of a crowd here today, but maybe we should start just the same
  • [15:04] Daedalus Young: cool
  • [15:04] Soft Linden: Is Aric out today?
  • [15:05] Multi Gadget: v1.52.0: yippers101 Flatley
  • [15:05] Entered chat: range: yippers101 Flatley
  • [15:05] Rob Linden: meeting conflict
  • [15:05] Rob Linden: VWR-106
  • [15:05] Alexa Linden: Video Capture hasnt worked for quite a while
  • [15:05] Rob Linden: https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Bug_triage/Monday_Agenda
  • [15:05] Daedalus Young: last time I checked it didn't work for me either
  • [15:05] Multi Gadget: v1.52.0: Aric Linden
  • [15:05] Gigs Taggart: yeah that's a known issue
  • [15:06] Daedalus Young: I've seen more issues iirc
  • [15:06] Gigs Taggart: there's a wiki page about other options for video recording, but none of them work for linux :)
  • [15:06] Daedalus Young: and there's not much to go with on Mac either
  • [15:06] Gigs Taggart: I believe this bug is a dupe of a wontfix
  • [15:06] Daedalus Young: hi Aric
  • [15:06] Rob Linden: btw, happy birthday Daedalus
  • [15:06] Gigs Taggart: but really, the entire record video option should probably be removed
  • [15:06] Daedalus Young: thanks Rob
  • [15:06] Aric Linden: Hi Daedalus
  • [15:06] yippers101 Flatley: its my b-day 2!
  • [15:06] Rob Linden: Aric!
  • [15:07] Daedalus Young: cool, happy birthday, yippers
  • [15:07] Aric Linden: Heya Rob. meeting won't materialize until next week, I think
  • [15:07] Rob Linden: was this an elaborate ruse to get me here?
  • [15:07] Alexa Linden: lol
  • [15:07] Daedalus Young: hi Mick
  • [15:07] Mick Linden: Hey! folks :)
  • [15:07] Aric Linden: nope. it was a planning process to make sure this meeting was covered in case I get called to my other meeting
  • [15:07] Multi Gadget: v1.52.0: Lex Neva
  • [15:07] Aric Linden: Hey Mick. Long time!!!
  • [15:08] Mick Linden: heheh
  • [15:08] Gigs Taggart: this bug is duplicated by VWR-2096, VWR-2735
  • [15:08] Soft Linden: Hmm. Those are two different crashes. At least the one of them is on ATI, not nvidia, so we can't even point at that.
  • [15:08] Daedalus Young: I'm ATI too, byw
  • [15:08] Alexa Linden: close as dup then?
  • [15:08] Aric Linden: So as long as we're discussing it, I may need to move this meeting to another time (or pass ownership to another linden)
  • [15:08] Aric Linden: Let me work it a bit offline with soft, rob and mick
  • [15:09] Aric Linden: rob, does that idea work for you?
  • [15:09] Gigs Taggart: alexa normally we don't close older bugs as a dupe of newer bugs
  • [15:09] Gigs Taggart: alexa but all the action seems to be on VWR-2096
  • [15:10] Alexa Linden: no, I'd do the reverse and close the rescent
  • [15:10] Alexa Linden: ok
  • [15:10] Gigs Taggart: Torley says: "I know this is such a pain for those of you who care, and Joe Linden recently advised that we should make a decision whether it's worth fixing or removing this. There are numerous problems with "Start/Stop Movie to Disk" beyond this one. :\ "
  • [15:10] Soft Linden: Keeping the one with the most details is best. Newer isn't always worse. :)
  • [15:10] Gigs Taggart: really it should be removed if no one is going to fix these serious bugs
  • [15:10] Daedalus Young: non-1 UI size is one such issues
  • [15:11] Rob Linden: maybe it should be made into a hidden option. I would bet that the people that still use it would be pretty disappointed if we nuked it
  • [15:11] Rob Linden: but who knows
  • [15:11] Multi Gadget: v1.52.0: PulseBurst Flow
  • [15:12] Soft Linden: Well. First we should see if it's an obvious fix - I don't know if any dev's looked at this yet
  • [15:12] Multi Gadget: v1.52.0: PulseBurst Flow
  • [15:12] Gigs Taggart: SL-52872 is imported
  • [15:14] Rob Linden: ok, we'll mark as duplicate
  • [15:14] Rob Linden: next?
  • [15:14] Rob Linden: SVC-29
  • [15:14] Alexa Linden: XMLRPC sporadically (but usually) very slow
  • [15:14] Rob Linden: (argh....I don't even have to pull it up
  • [15:14] Gigs Taggart: hehe
  • [15:14] Rob Linden: metabug
  • [15:14] Rob Linden: will never close
  • [15:15] Gigs Taggart: I wouldn't say it's a metabug
  • [15:15] Soft Linden: I could have sworn this one went through triage already...
  • [15:15] Gigs Taggart: it's been through triage like 4 times
  • [15:15] Daedalus Young: yes, I remember it too
  • [15:15] Gigs Taggart: but it's still not fixed :)
  • [15:15] Rob Linden: hence my "argh"
  • [15:15] Gigs Taggart: ignoring the problem won't make it go away hehe
  • [15:15] Alexa Linden: then should we assign to workingonit linden? so we know it's been looked at?
  • [15:15] Gigs Taggart: is it?
  • [15:16] Rob Linden: when do we get to mark it fixed? when we have 500ms return values? 50ms return? <1 ms?
  • [15:16] Gigs Taggart: Rob: the problem here is severe delays, like 10seconds+
  • [15:16] Soft Linden: Okay - SVC-29 is imported as SL-33824 already. It's just not reflected on the PJIRA. I'll fix that.
  • [15:17] Gigs Taggart: it should stop coming up in triage once you mark it with an internal id, at least
  • [15:17] Alexa Linden: yup
  • [15:17] Soft Linden: Right.
  • [15:17] Soft Linden: Fix't
  • [15:18] Rob Linden: k....we can move on
  • [15:18] Soft Linden: JIRA runs on molasses and hope.
  • [15:18] Rob Linden: VWR-249
  • [15:18] Alexa Linden: No warning when attaching objects which will replace existing attached objects
  • [15:19] Rob Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-249
  • [15:19] Daedalus Young: agreed it is not a bug, but feature request
  • [15:19] Soft Linden: This one is inconsistent. If you explicitly attach to a point, it warns you. If you attach and rely on the saved attach point, it doesn't. That behavior is backward from what's logical.
  • [15:19] Soft Linden: When you attach to a specific point, you already see any conflicting attachment listed.
  • [15:20] Daedalus Young: just right-click wear indeed doesn't show, but neither does dragging something onto your av
  • [15:20] Soft Linden: Right. Those both rely on using the saved attach point (or the default if it's never been worn)
  • [15:20] Daedalus Young: so if you'd add something, I'd say it'll be an alert with "Continue" and "Cancel" buttons
  • [15:21] Alexa Linden: you can use the edit window to see what's attached to what point of your body
  • [15:21] PulseBurst Flow: don't think you want warning every time you change somoe clothing..
  • [15:21] Alexa Linden: I agree
  • [15:21] Alexa Linden: that would drive me nuts
  • [15:21] Soft Linden: Well, you can make it just like the other warning for this - where you can disable it.
  • [15:21] Rob Linden: k....well, regardless, this needs to be moved to "feature" and probably needs to be considered by Ben and co.
  • [15:21] Soft Linden: [x
  • [15:22] PulseBurst Flow: if you do, the default should be no warning..
  • [15:22] Alexa Linden: noted
  • [15:22] Rob Linden: +"User Interface" component?
  • [15:22] Alexa Linden: noted
  • [15:22] Rob Linden: k....let's move on
  • [15:22] Soft Linden: UI, feature request not bug, and drop it in Benjamin's lap :)
  • [15:23] Alexa Linden: yup
  • [15:23] Rob Linden: VWR-417
  • [15:23] Alexa Linden: Avatar skins load twice
  • [15:23] Multi Gadget: Fish: '/setfish en_fr Timeless' - will translate all chat text by Timeless Prototype from English into French.
  • [15:23] Multi Gadget: Fish: '/unfish Timeless' - removes the translation for this avatar name
  • [15:23] Multi Gadget: Fish: '/unfish all' - removes all avatar-specific translations
  • [15:23] Daedalus Young: I can remember this from a triage too
  • [15:24] Daedalus Young: I believe we then agreed it was misunderstanding of how things work
  • [15:24] Gigs Taggart: well, skins do rebake a lot unnecessarily
  • [15:24] Gigs Taggart: like TP->rebake.. why?
  • [15:24] Soft Linden: I'd sure be inclined to leave this to see if it gathers more votes. It's a very non-trivial amount of work to fix this properly, so if it gets imported right now it'll go straight to the Maybe-Someday pile.
  • [15:25] Rob Linden: yup, agreed.
  • [15:25] Gigs Taggart: the reason these things get triaged twice is because no one either resolves or imports them :)
  • [15:25] Alexa Linden: leave as-is?
  • [15:25] Rob Linden: could someone add a note to the description so that it's easy to know we discussed this?
  • [15:25] Gigs Taggart: if we do as soft says it'll get triaged again sometime
  • [15:25] Alexa Linden: ya, can I add some type of note?
  • [15:25] Daedalus Young: or when someone reopens :)
  • [15:26] Soft Linden: Sure, it would be nice if there were a way to mark it to not revisit for a month or two
  • [15:26] Gigs Taggart: a note is fine with me
  • [15:26] Alexa Linden: rob?
  • [15:26] Rob Linden: wonders if we should start filtering out "small" priority bugs
  • [15:26] Rob Linden: yup
  • [15:26] Gigs Taggart: some smalls are easy to fix though
  • [15:26] Alexa Linden: ok - leaving as-is with a note to revisit
  • [15:26] Rob Linden: thx
  • [15:27] Daedalus Young: they could then be linked to the Open Source meta-issue
  • [15:27] Rob Linden: next up: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-500
  • [15:27] Gigs Taggart: bugzilla's I've seen have a deferred resolution
  • [15:27] Alexa Linden: Searching inventory for "copy", "modify" etc brings up everything
  • [15:27] Gigs Taggart: can we do somehting like deferred?
  • [15:27] PulseBurst Flow: don't think votes necessarily represent what might be asomething that annoys typical user who doesn't use Jira
  • [15:27] Soft Linden: If adding fields is easy, a "last triaged" date field, perhaps. It would be easy to filter against things in the last month or two.
  • [15:27] Rob Linden: oooooo
  • [15:27] Alexa Linden: nice!
  • [15:28] Rob Linden: I may just do that soft
  • [15:28] Gigs Taggart: some linden IMed me about VWR-500, I dont' know what their conclusion was :)
  • [15:28] Gigs Taggart: but I explained it to them
  • [15:28] Soft Linden: VWR-500 - I think we want to keep that unless we add an option to search for those flags independently.
  • [15:28] Soft Linden: For example, it would suck not to be able to search for "(worn" anymore.
  • [15:29] Daedalus Young: especially (worn is useful
  • [15:29] Gigs Taggart: it sucks trying to search for a copying machine object :)
  • [15:29] Gigs Taggart: that's how I hit found the bug
  • [15:29] Gigs Taggart: -hiut
  • [15:29] Daedalus Young: but for copy and modify, those won't really be necessary
  • [15:30] Gigs Taggart: I don't know, it probably should be small priority
  • [15:30] Daedalus Young: if an object has copy in its name, you might want to search for it someday, but I don't know who would want to search for all no copy objects
  • [15:30] Gigs Taggart: you can wontfix it if you want
  • [15:30] Multi Gadget: v1.52.0: Wyn Galbraith
  • [15:30] PulseBurst Flow: I think the problem is because you can't see from the inventory listing the permissions of objects
  • [15:31] PulseBurst Flow: so people label the with copy, mod, etc.
  • [15:31] Gigs Taggart: pulse, no it actually searches the permission tags
  • [15:31] Daedalus Young: yes, the things added in green
  • [15:31] Soft Linden: Sure, this should be small priority.
  • [15:31] PulseBurst Flow: OK Gigs..
  • [15:31] Gigs Taggart: I could write a patch to fix this probably
  • [15:31] Gigs Taggart: but like you said it would nuke (worn) most likely :)
  • [15:32] Gigs Taggart: unless I put a specific hack in for that
  • [15:32] Rob Linden: I wonder if the fix should be some way to search for "attr:copy" or something like that
  • [15:32] Multi Gadget: v1.52.0: Neythan Paine
  • [15:32] Daedalus Young: or extra filters
  • [15:33] PulseBurst Flow: still, it would be handy to have a column with permissions settings in the Inventory window, so people would not put "Copy" in the name, unless it is semantic, not permissions
  • [15:33] Daedalus Young: search for everything currently worn
  • [15:33] Rob Linden: or perhaps something as subtle as putting "copy" in quotes means look for the literal string rather than the flag
  • [15:33] Entering god: mode, level 150
  • [15:33] PulseBurst Flow: but that'sa feature request...
  • [15:33] Soft Linden: Hmm. Maybe if it came in as a patch. But internally, if this took a couple days of dev time for fancy search options...
  • [15:33] Gigs Taggart: the current behavior is likely unexpected, a feature may solve it but the symptom itself is a bug :)
  • [15:34] Rob Linden: I'm thinking this should be turned into a feature request anyway
  • [15:34] Alexa Linden: ok
  • [15:34] Soft Linden: Tough call, yeah. It's a bug, but fixing the bug would remove functionality that a feature request would have to re-add. Bleagh!
  • [15:34] Gigs Taggart: heh yeah
  • [15:34] Rob Linden: ok....cool
  • [15:34] Rob Linden: next up:
  • [15:34] Rob Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/WEB-87
  • [15:34] Alexa Linden: Land Store Map is not Updating
  • [15:35] Soft Linden: Maybe a new JIRA should be added for the feature request and linked to this as a small priority bug, with this depending on the feature request?
  • [15:35] Soft Linden: Or we've moved on :)
  • [15:35] Alexa Linden: lol
  • [15:35] Gigs Taggart: WEB-87 - I don't know if we should defer all these until the "new land store" is done or what
  • [15:35] Gigs Taggart: Jack made it sound like the old land store is beyond repair
  • [15:35] Gigs Taggart: and that nothing will be put into fixing it
  • [15:36] Alexa Linden: ya, a few different map issues have come up for the land store
  • [15:37] Rob Linden: hrm....I don't know enough about any land store updates to make a call here
  • [15:37] Gigs Taggart: well the old land store is ruby on rails
  • [15:37] Gigs Taggart: and apparently no one wants to deal with that crap :)
  • [15:37] Rob Linden: oh, 'nuff said
  • [15:37] Gigs Taggart: hehe
  • [15:38] Alexa Linden: do you want me to get an update/progress report on the new land store?
  • [15:38] Alexa Linden: to see where it stands re: these jiras?
  • [15:38] Gigs Taggart: it would probably be good, the old one is broken in a lot of ways
  • [15:38] Rob Linden: that'd be useful. I think we probably need to leave it open for the time being
  • [15:38] Alexa Linden: ok
  • [15:38] Rob Linden: but not import it
  • [15:39] Rob Linden: if we can find an internal jira task for any land store replacement work, we should use that
  • [15:39] Alexa Linden: as-is, awaiting update, last triaged
  • [15:39] Rob Linden: (giving it a number will take it off of any auto gen list)
  • [15:39] Alexa Linden: ok
  • [15:40] Rob Linden: next up: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-126
  • [15:40] Gigs Taggart: you know as a hack we could create a fake number like SL-0000 for deferring
  • [15:40] Alexa Linden: In world map image is not updating
  • [15:40] Gigs Taggart: and then we could always have a review triage where we pull up all the SL-0000 bugs
  • [15:42] Gigs Taggart: I don't know if SVC-126 was a transient issue or what. I reported it because at the time there were hundreds of gray squares on the world map, that doesn't seem to be the case anymore.
  • [15:42] Gigs Taggart: but someone else reopened it
  • [15:43] Soft Linden: I'll put a watch on this and add a comment asking someone to point out an out-of-date region when it happens.
  • [15:43] Rob Linden: the map code has totally changed since the original report. the new comment is not terribly useful
  • [15:43] PulseBurst Flow: well, you'd have to be familiar with a paticular region to confirm this...
  • [15:43] Daedalus Young: basically, if I understand it correctly, the issue is, World Map doesn't update enough for new regions
  • [15:43] Gigs Taggart: yeah I'm voting for closing svc-126 because really the map seems to be a lot better
  • [15:43] Rob Linden: need a specific region to reopen it
  • [15:43] Soft Linden: Needs more info, and I'll hang the request and watch on it?
  • [15:43] Alexa Linden: closing - with note
  • [15:44] PulseBurst Flow: but if it doesn't work, it's a bug...should be a totally automated and flawless feature..
  • [15:44] PulseBurst Flow: ok
  • [15:44] Gigs Taggart: that's fine with me, just don't expect more info from me (the reporter) :)
  • [15:45] Rob Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-130
  • [15:45] Alexa Linden: CC needed with PayPal, contradictory to what sl website says
  • [15:45] Daedalus Young: request was made in the comments to move from SVC to WEB
  • [15:45] Gigs Taggart: I can confirm this
  • [15:46] Daedalus Young: I can confirm it too, the reason why I still have no payment info up
  • [15:46] Gigs Taggart: I've tenants in other countries have serious trouble with paypal because paypal requires them to put a credit card in
  • [15:46] Gigs Taggart: Daed what country?
  • [15:46] Daedalus Young: The Netherlands
  • [15:46] Gigs Taggart: yeah
  • [15:46] Alexa Linden: ouch
  • [15:46] Gigs Taggart: apparently paypal doesn't require this credit card to send money elsewhere
  • [15:46] Gigs Taggart: but to send to linden lab the standard is higher?
  • [15:47] Gigs Taggart: that's the story I got from the people having the problem
  • [15:47] Daedalus Young: months back, I asked paypal about why they wanted a cc, they said to me it's a LL requirement
  • [15:47] Gigs Taggart: yeah
  • [15:47] Alexa Linden: Robla, this is a good one for me to pass to the team I'm joining
  • [15:47] Soft Linden: We don't just receive payments from Paypal - we create a billing agreement with the account. That may be handled more stringently. :/
  • [15:47] Daedalus Young: cc makes a paypal account verified
  • [15:47] Rob Linden: k....import then?
  • [15:47] Alexa Linden: ok
  • [15:48] Gigs Taggart: it could be paypal descriminating against LL too
  • [15:48] Rob Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/WEB-94
  • [15:48] Alexa Linden: credit card details that have been used for 3 years are now unauthorized
  • [15:48] Gigs Taggart: they have done that to me, disqualified me for virtual terminal because I'm "associated with AUP violations" because I deal with LL :)
  • [15:48] Alexa Linden: I'm sure this has been imported somewhere
  • [15:49] Gigs Taggart: did his card just expire?
  • [15:49] Gigs Taggart: :P
  • [15:49] Wyn Galbraith: had that just happen.
  • [15:49] Soft Linden: It may be they're trying to use the card immediately after adding it. It takes a few minutes to verify.
  • [15:50] Gigs Taggart: someone should probably look into it
  • [15:50] Soft Linden: Sure looks like things where they should be going to support though, not JIRA.
  • [15:50] Wyn Galbraith: Up to 20 minutes I think it says.
  • [15:50] Rob Linden: agree with Soft
  • [15:50] Multi Gadget: v1.52.0: Squirrel Wood
  • [15:50] Wyn Galbraith: Squirrel!
  • [15:50] Soft Linden: Support will pass it back to dev if things jibe on their end.
  • [15:51] Alexa Linden: send info to support then?
  • [15:51] PulseBurst Flow: this was last commented in 4 months ago...
  • [15:51] PulseBurst Flow: does it take that long to get triage?
  • [15:51] Soft Linden: Good eye, PuleBurst :)
  • [15:51] Soft Linden: Pulse
  • [15:51] Soft Linden: For something with 0 votes? Yeah, it can take longer.
  • [15:51] Rob Linden: yup
  • [15:52] PulseBurst Flow: oh...thanks for the tip. ;-D lill lobby for votes. ;-D
  • [15:52] Rob Linden: which is why jira is a really poor place for billing issues
  • [15:52] Rob Linden: I vote "resolve/misfiled"
  • [15:52] Soft Linden: That's a fine thing to do! It means others are vouching that they see it too. That's a great filter for us to find the best bugs to focus on!
  • [15:52] Alexa Linden: ok
  • [15:52] Alexa Linden: and will add a link to supprt
  • [15:52] Alexa Linden: support*
  • [15:53] Rob Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-545
  • [15:53] Alexa Linden: Controls freeze / inventry incomplete / Menus freeze / avatar wrong sex
  • [15:53] Multi Gadget: v1.52.0: Saijanai Kuhn
  • [15:53] Rob Linden: ruth?
  • [15:53] Mick Linden: ruth
  • [15:53] PulseBurst Flow: too many issues...
  • [15:54] Squirrel Wood: control freeze I had on the rc client
  • [15:54] Squirrel Wood: as well as total freezes with sl exe using up 100% cpu time
  • [15:54] Squirrel Wood: which did not recover and required the client app to be killed
  • [15:54] Daedalus Young: very rarely, when bandwidth drops it happens to me
  • [15:54] Soft Linden: Everything in this JIRA is reflected individually in another JIRA.
  • [15:54] Saijanai Kuhn: never
  • [15:55] Gigs Taggart: yeah close duplicate
  • [15:55] Saijanai Kuhn: freezes
  • [15:55] Alexa Linden: notes
  • [15:55] Alexa Linden: noted*
  • [15:55] PulseBurst Flow: there's also been new release version since report...so has there been follow up...
  • [15:55] PulseBurst Flow: or keep woking on bugs in old versions
  • [15:56] Gigs Taggart: no one works on old version bugs
  • [15:56] PulseBurst Flow: right
  • [15:56] PulseBurst Flow: so what version is this bug report about?
  • [15:56] Rob Linden: might be good to find a ruth bug to mark it as a duplicate of
  • [15:56] Alexa Linden: ok
  • [15:56] Daedalus Young: lag is a thing of all versions
  • [15:56] Rob Linden: but, yes, we should move on
  • [15:56] Rob Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-145
  • [15:56] Alexa Linden: Existing Hollow Box Prims Have Changed from 95% Hollow to 94.9% Hollo
  • [15:56] Gigs Taggart: I have a gut feeling SVC-145 is a dupe of something newer with more information
  • [15:57] Gigs Taggart: but jira is too slow searching
  • [15:57] Wyn Galbraith: has seen that a lot.
  • [15:57] Gigs Taggart: Rob you better give those jira people hell next week :)
  • [15:57] Soft Linden: No comments since June. Close for needs more info, ask if it's still happening?
  • [15:58] Wyn Galbraith: I still see it.
  • [15:58] Gigs Taggart: can we see how old the votes are?
  • [15:58] Gigs Taggart: guess not
  • [15:58] Gigs Taggart: I suspect with 6 votes and with what Wyn is saying this still happens.
  • [15:58] Wyn Galbraith: Now that I'm thinking about it, it seems to be happening more with older prims.
  • [15:59] Soft Linden: Hmm. In the comments, Qarl was looking at it...
  • [15:59] Wyn Galbraith: I would have to keep an eye out for it.
  • [15:59] Wyn Galbraith: There's a lot of whacky weirdnesses prims do when they're tortured.
  • [16:00] Soft Linden: Wyn, if you do see it, could you note the parameters you used on the prim?
  • [16:00] Wyn Galbraith: It's hard to get the steps down to reproducable due to working on them.
  • [16:00] Wyn Galbraith: I talked to Saijanai about one I saw when really switching prim types back and forth.
  • [16:01] Wyn Galbraith: What makes it hard is duplcating the order the changes were made because I was playing around.
  • [16:01] Wyn Galbraith: watches this one then.
  • [16:01] Rob Linden: hrm...in the meantime, what should we do?
  • [16:01] Squirrel Wood: needs more info ?
  • [16:02] Saijanai Kuhn: right. Tortured prims need a lot of cuplication documentation. As the geometry of SL changes, builders are going to get upset if something goes by.
  • [16:02] Wyn Galbraith: Let me look into it? I find myself jobless this week, so far anyway.
  • [16:02] PulseBurst Flow: needs to be reproduced, I think
  • [16:02] Rob Linden: k....let's mark it as "resolved/needs info"
  • [16:03] Saijanai Kuhn: feels Wyn's pain
  • [16:03] Alexa Linden: done
  • [16:03] Rob Linden: ok....thanks everyone
  • [16:03] Rob Linden: Wyn, if you find a repro, let us know
  • [16:03] Wyn Galbraith: will see about documenting prim torture.
  • [16:03] Wyn Galbraith: Ok, Rob :)
  • [16:03] Alexa Linden: thank you all! If Jira is nice, I'll have everything up by noon tomorrow
  • [16:03] Saijanai Kuhn: Sorry I wasn't able to sit in folks. RL errands. . Fitting to check out new variation of the sim-falling bug
  • [16:03] Mick Linden: Thanks folks
  • [16:03] Wyn Galbraith: Gives me an excuse to go back to that build where I first saw it.
