  • [14:59] Bridie Linden: (not that I'm complaining...)
  • [14:59] Alexa Linden: we still have a good selection to go through :)
  • [14:59] Bridie Linden: We'll start in a minute or 2...
  • [14:59] Alexa Linden: sure
  • [14:59] Daedalus Young: the weeks seem to be so much shorter this year
  • [14:59] Bridie Linden: Torley and Aric are on their way...
  • [14:59] Johnnie Nakamori: no problem..
  • [14:59] Johnnie Nakamori: first time here..
  • [15:00] Armanna Benoir: Hrm
  • [15:00] Armanna Benoir: Are any of you aware of login issues too?
  • [15:00] Alexa Linden: no
  • [15:00] Daedalus Young: I didn't have any problems logging in today
  • [15:00] Armanna Benoir: Is very screwy atm
  • [15:00] Daedalus Young: both with my main and my alt
  • [15:00] Armanna Benoir: Wont connect to server
  • [15:00] Armanna Benoir: Or find url
  • [15:00] Armanna Benoir: Or do anything
  • [15:00] Armanna Benoir: haha
  • [15:00] Daedalus Young: just logged in half an hour ago
  • [15:00] Bridie Linden: just with RC or?
  • [15:00] Armanna Benoir: RC
  • [15:00] Armanna Benoir: I will get a link
  • [15:00] Alexa Linden: logged in and out all day today with no problems
  • [15:00] Celierra Darling: I just logged in too - no problems...
  • [15:00] Armanna Benoir: You can look at the pics
  • [15:01] Armanna Benoir: I missed my in world shift because of it, not that I am complaining about that
  • [15:01] Armanna Benoir: As I needed my main account to do the shift
  • [15:01] Armanna Benoir: http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-4338
  • [15:01] Bridie Linden: Sorry Armanna!
  • [15:02] Armanna Benoir: Are some pics on there on what it's doing
  • [15:02] Bridie Linden: RC4?
  • [15:02] Armanna Benoir: Is oki Bridie i'm not gonna be upset about not doing a shift haha
  • [15:02] Armanna Benoir: Newest RC I think
  • [15:02] Daedalus Young: oooh, bmps
  • [15:02] Bridie Linden hmms
  • [15:02] Armanna Benoir: I get that alot, and Enus said he does too and it passes
  • [15:02] Celierra Darling: URL mangling again
  • [15:03] Armanna Benoir: But it hasnt passed yet and has been like it a while hehe
  • [15:03] Celierra Darling: I suggest that you keep a copy of the normal viewer, too, for situations like that, Armanna :)
  • [15:03] Alexa Linden: yup
  • [15:04] Celierra Darling: Right now, the whole new login thing is a bit broken - they're going to put the old one back first, and then work on that more later
  • [15:04] Bridie Linden nods to Celierra
  • [15:04] Daedalus Young: or at least you can re-download the official viewer to test it
  • [15:04] Bridie Linden wonders if there are web server issues going on...
  • [15:04] Celierra Darling: So when you get problems like that you should use the official viewer :)
  • [15:04] Celierra Darling: (since it doesn't have the new stuff, like the new web login thing)
  • [15:04] Armanna Benoir: My normal viewer wont work on this system
  • [15:04] Armanna Benoir: I'm a very buggy person haha
  • [15:04] Alexa Linden: we ready to bein?
  • [15:05] Alexa Linden: begin?
  • [15:05] Armanna Benoir: I get NO search at all on normal

  • [15:06] Armanna Benoir: Hiya
  • [15:06] Aric Linden: hi all
  • [15:06] Celierra Darling: Hey Aric
  • [15:06] Daedalus Young: hmm, odd one
  • [15:06] Aric Linden: sorry to be a little late
  • [15:06] Alexa Linden: I wonder if the size of the ships she's on makes a difference?
  • [15:06] Armanna Benoir: Sim crossing in a whole is bad
  • [15:06] Bridie Linden: I was trying to go and repro 4262 last night, but didn't get very far...
  • [15:06] Daedalus Young: I do occasionally crash on sim crossings
  • [15:06] Alexa Linden: I was flying across sims this weekend and didn't have this problem
  • [15:06] Armanna Benoir: I crash too, or get things up my SL Bum
  • [15:06] Aric Linden grins at Armanna
  • [15:06] Bridie Linden: We're working on that one Armanna
  • [15:07] Armanna Benoir: hehe
  • [15:07] Aric Linden: the asstachment bug

  • [15:07] Bridie Linden: ty Aric
  • [15:07] Aric Linden: yw Bridie
  • [15:07] Armanna Benoir: What about prims breaking when on sim crossings, going phanton even when not made phantom
  • [15:07] Alexa Linden: Havok?
  • [15:07] Armanna Benoir: Thats another one
  • [15:07] Bridie Linden: I don't know if 4262 is reproducible or n ot
  • [15:07] Bridie Linden: Not Havok
  • [15:07] Aric Linden: havok should resolve many, if not all of these
  • [15:07] Alexa Linden: k
  • [15:07] Bridie Linden: Shall we leave it or Aric, does QA want to have a go?
  • [15:07] Aric Linden: I'd suggest asking for folks to try and repro them using havok
  • [15:08] Alexa Linden: or I can triage date it
  • [15:08] Alexa Linden: I can do that too Aric
  • [15:08] Daedalus Young: where is that ferry? the one going through ANWR?
  • [15:08] Alexa Linden: not sure
  • [15:08] Armanna Benoir: Harleen!
  • [15:08] Aric Linden: no, we're so close to havok being main that we'd rather the resident verify it happens in havok
  • [15:08] Armanna Benoir: Ive seen you on Jira alot! I think... sorry lol
  • [15:09] Alexa Linden: marking with triage date and asking for someone to repro
  • [15:09] Daedalus Young: cool
  • [15:09] Bridie Linden: region is Galaxy MID
  • [15:09] Daedalus Young: ahh ok
  • [15:09] Daedalus Young: the huge ship
  • [15:09] Alexa Linden: yes!
  • [15:09] Daedalus Young: hi Torley
  • [15:09] Bridie Linden: Speaking of huge..
  • [15:09] Harleen Gretzky: Hi Armanna, I take it you are Meghan
  • [15:10] Alexa Linden: I was just wondering if that was it Daed
  • [15:10] Bridie Linden: Hi Torley!
  • [15:10] Armanna Benoir: I am Meghan
  • [15:10] Alexa Linden: that thing is lag hell
  • [15:10] Harleen Gretzky: Hi Torley
  • [15:10] Armanna Benoir: And trying to get Meghan in
  • [15:10] Celierra Darling: Hey Torley! o.o
  • [15:10] Armanna Benoir: lol
  • [15:10] Alexa Linden: uh Torley?
  • [15:10] Daedalus Young: I didn't know they had a ferry there
  • [15:10] Torley Linden: Oh rezzing in is such fun!
  • [15:10] Alexa Linden: me neither
  • [15:10] Alexa Linden: LOL
  • [15:10] Torley Linden: Hi everyone... :)
  • [15:10] Johnnie Nakamori: hello
  • [15:10] Torley Linden: I'm Totorleyo
  • [15:10] Torley Linden: ;)
  • [15:10] Alexa Linden: don't squash me!
  • [15:10] Torley Linden: I won't eat you either!
  • [15:10] Torley Linden: Friendly greetings! =)
  • [15:10] Alexa Linden: O.o
  • [15:10] Alexa Linden: not
  • [15:10] Alexa Linden: funneh
  • [15:10] Armanna Benoir: Torley
  • [15:10] Celierra Darling hums the totoro song
  • [15:10] Torley Linden: Great to see you all...
  • [15:10] Bridie Linden: we need bigger chairs!
  • [15:10] Alexa Linden: lol
  • [15:10] Johnnie Nakamori: nice .. outfit!
  • [15:11] Torley Linden: yeah that is so catchy, Celierra.
  • [15:11] Johnnie Nakamori: he is the chainr
  • [15:11] Torley Linden: "We'll need a bigger chair."
  • [15:11] Armanna Benoir: Torley is the hardest Linden to make contact with ever! haha
  • [15:11] Torley Linden: Thanks! Sorry I'm late, where are we at?
  • [15:11] Torley Linden: Armanna, how come? =) We are talking right now! Hee hee.
  • [15:11] Alexa Linden: * VWR-2950 - Votes: 18 - Group Notices and Group IMs Constantly Malfunctioning - wayfinder wishbringer
  • [15:11] Daedalus Young: oh, just come to the Office Hours on Fridays
  • [15:11] Bridie Linden: Yup 2950
  • [15:11] Armanna Benoir: You dont do IMs or NoteCards Torley haha
  • [15:11] Torley Linden: Thanks Alexa and Bridie...
  • [15:11] Torley Linden: OK, so I think some of this in VWR-2950 is going to be alleviated by 1.19.
  • [15:11] Alexa Linden: np Torley
  • [15:11] Torley Linden: Armanna: Unfortunately not because I'm flooded! I need clones.
  • [15:11] Bridie Linden is looking...
  • [15:12] Armanna Benoir: lol yes
  • [15:12] Torley Linden: There is too much communication to be handeld by one me. ^_^
  • [15:12] Armanna Benoir: haha
  • [15:12] Daedalus Young: I put this in because it has new comments since Last Triaged
  • [15:12] Armanna Benoir: Get TorleyBots lol
  • [15:12] Kooky Jetaime: You know, these couches do have a cool look even before the sculpties load.
  • [15:12] Alexa Linden reads
  • [15:12] Torley Linden: This issue has too many symptoms within it to clearly be actionable, "malfunctioning" encompasses *so* many things. But yes, therre are specific related bugs like VWR-3479 which have frustrated me for ages.
  • [15:12] Bridie Linden: Yes to what Torley said about 1.19
  • [15:12] Alexa Linden: Hey Kooky :D
  • [15:13] Torley Linden: "Ages" being, a few months, just so we're clear on how accelerated Second Life time is. =)
  • [15:13] Kooky Jetaime: Hi Alexa
  • [15:13] Aric Linden: hey torley, great av
  • [15:13] Torley Linden: Hey Aric! Thanks!
  • [15:13] Kooky Jetaime: Yea..someone said 1SL week = 6RL weeks.
  • [15:13] Bridie Linden: I'm not sure what else to do with 2950...
  • [15:13] Aric Linden: totoro rules. I have him on my desk
  • [15:13] Torley Linden: Haahah glad you like him too Aric, sooo cute, I presume you've seen the movie?
  • [15:13] Torley Linden: (I just watched the movie yesterday.)
  • [15:13] Bridie Linden: Hiyra Kooky
  • [15:13] Aric Linden: several times
  • [15:13] Torley Linden: :D
  • [15:13] Armanna Benoir: brb wresstling with login lol
  • [15:13] Torley Linden wants to see more Studio Ghibli stuff!
  • [15:13] Aric Linden: i want a cat bus for an av
  • [15:14] Alexa Linden: I would think we already have an imported one that covers this, no?
  • [15:14] Torley Linden: Hahahah OMG that would be so awesome, with the contracting door...
  • [15:14] Bridie Linden: Well, we imported 1298
  • [15:14] Daedalus Young: yeah, not much we can do with 2950 imho
  • [15:14] Aric Linden: porco rosso, dude porco rosso
  • [15:14] Torley Linden: Alexa, we've imported VWR-3479 too.
  • [15:14] Aric Linden: and howls
  • [15:14] Torley Linden: Aric: Oh the flying pig one!
  • [15:14] Bridie Linden: ok, Torley + ARic...
  • [15:14] Alexa Linden: cross-reference to LL one?
  • [15:14] Bridie Linden: focus...focus...
  • [15:14] Torley Linden: Someone actually did a facsimile of Howl's Moving Castle in SL... *focuses*
  • [15:14] Bridie Linden grins
  • [15:14] Aric Linden hangs his head
  • [15:14] Celierra Darling giggles
  • [15:14] Aric Linden: it's just that I never see torley anymore
  • [15:15] Torley Linden: Awe.
  • [15:15] Bridie Linden: So we're aware of 2950 and related issues, and believe things will improve with 1.19...
  • [15:15] Bridie Linden: Aric or Torley do you want to comment further?
  • [15:15] Armanna Benoir: Another Region thing would be crashing on login when connecting to region
  • [15:15] Daedalus Young: then let us Resis wait it out
  • [15:15] Aric Linden: yes
  • [15:16] Bridie Linden: We want to see it fixed/improved too Daed!
  • [15:16] Torley Linden: *nods*
  • [15:16] Alexa Linden: thanks Aric
  • [15:16] Torley Linden: Thanks!
  • [15:16] Bridie Linden: I don't mean to be flippant
  • [15:16] Daedalus Young: of course!
  • [15:16] Alexa Linden: next is
  • [15:16] Alexa Linden: * VWR-2054 - Votes: 2 - Several scripting tooltips could be improved - WarKirby Magojiro
  • [15:16] Daedalus Young: I was being positive too
  • [15:16] Bridie Linden: kk Daed, thx! (hard to tell tone in text ya know)
  • [15:16] Bridie Linden: Hi Squirrel
  • [15:16] Daedalus Young: anxiously awaiting 1.19 :)
  • [15:16] Squirrel Wood: Nuts! I completely forgot about this. _:p
  • [15:16] Bridie Linden: Hooray a patch...
  • [15:17] Alexa Linden: ^^ Squirrel
  • [15:17] Squirrel Wood: Hellu!
  • [15:17] Torley Linden: Nice, Jacek's on it!
  • [15:17] Celierra Darling: Hey Squirrel :)
  • [15:17] Daedalus Young: tooltip clarification
  • [15:17] Smith Miklos: Hello
  • [15:17] Torley Linden: So looks pretty easy to apply and verify that the hovertips are accurate. I'd suggest importing and go to *triage* to approve eh?
  • [15:17] Daedalus Young: hi
  • [15:17] Bridie Linden: That's a mighty long tool tip...
  • [15:17] Alexa Linden: noted
  • [15:17] Bridie Linden: welcome jason!
  • [15:18] Bridie Linden: But, yeah, let's import
  • [15:18] Daedalus Young: sounds cool
  • [15:18] Torley Linden: That may be tersified further...
  • [15:18] Alexa Linden: next up we havve
  • [15:18] Alexa Linden: # SVC-694 - Votes: 6 - Cancelling teleport doesn't work - WarKirby Magojiro
  • [15:18] Bridie Linden: On to the Misc pool...
  • [15:18] Jason Swain: Hello and thank you Birdie ^^
  • [15:18] Torley Linden: I'm hoping we eventually get better integration between LSL guide on wiki.secondlife.com and in-viewer.
  • [15:18] Torley Linden: I've experienced SVC-694 before.
  • [15:18] Squirrel Wood: cancelling teleports only works up to a certain point I have found
  • [15:18] Alexa Linden: I have also
  • [15:18] Flux Woyseck: That would be nice Torley
  • [15:18] Alexa Linden: yes
  • [15:19] Torley Linden: *smiles at Flux*
  • [15:19] Daedalus Young: I usually want to cancel when a TP seems to be failing, but that leaves the av stuck
  • [15:19] Bridie Linden: welcome late arrivals!
  • [15:19] Daedalus Young: only a relog fixes
  • [15:19] Squirrel Wood: and if the progress bar crawls across the screen at an exceptionally slow speed... cancelling and relogging is in order
  • [15:19] Alexa Linden: yes
  • [15:19] Bridie Linden: https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Bug_triage/Wednesday_Agenda
  • [15:19] Torley Linden: Yeah, I'd recommend: either Cancel button should gray out/disappear when no longer operative...
  • [15:19] Aric Linden: I think it's a question of updating when it's no longer operative
  • [15:20] Torley Linden: *nods to what Aric said*
  • [15:20] Alexa Linden: lol
  • [15:20] Bridie Linden: Let's import 694 and see if we can pile it on Jake...yes?
  • [15:20] Daedalus Young: which is usually quite fast
  • [15:20] Alexa Linden: do one of you want to put that in the comments?
  • [15:20] Aric Linden: once the we've passed data and bits are in "limbo" updates to the viewer are hard
  • [15:20] Aric Linden: I don't think this is easily fixed at all.
  • [15:20] Alexa Linden: then I will import and pin on jake?
  • [15:20] Torley Linden: Yeah, Jake was looking at the related issue...
  • [15:20] Bridie Linden: I don't think it will be easy either...
  • [15:20] Aric Linden: I'd think we should ask RX about removing the cancel button myself
  • [15:21] Torley Linden: A tougher decision would be not allowing a cancel at all... aye.
  • [15:21] Torley Linden: If it doesn't work reliably/frequently.
  • [15:21] Aric Linden: because I think tracking the timing is nearly impossible
  • [15:21] Alexa Linden: ok - then import /rx?
  • [15:21] Aric Linden: that's my suggestion
  • [15:21] Daedalus Young: most of the time it doesn't work indeed
  • [15:21] Alexa Linden: makes sense
  • [15:21] Bridie Linden: Let's import and discuss @ internal triage, I think...
  • [15:21] Alexa Linden: noted
  • [15:21] Squirrel Wood: teleporting is a little bit like playing the lottery. every once in a while you "win" and have to relog
  • [15:21] Bridie Linden: Steve + Don might have some insight
  • [15:21] Alexa Linden: next up......
  • [15:22] Alexa Linden: # SVC-220 - Votes: 4 - small-change llSetRot() calls don't cause an update - Lex Neva
  • [15:22] Aric Linden: right Daedalus - because once control is handed off, knowing what to do in the viewer is curazy
  • [15:22] Torley Linden: That unreliability is awful, Squirrel. ESPECIALLY when you have open IMs.
  • [15:22] Torley Linden: Or in the middle of a voice call.
  • [15:22] Armanna Benoir: Can I suggest if you crash on teleport and you DO decide to take away the cancel button you make it so we can log off but read current IMs so that we don't 'loose' IMs when the teleport fails
  • [15:22] Armanna Benoir: Like when a region logs you out
  • [15:22] Squirrel Wood: mayhaps you could send the viewer a "from here on you are in limbo" message which makes it hide the cancel button ?
  • [15:22] Armanna Benoir: Or the grid goes down
  • [15:22] Johnnie Nakamori: yuk
  • [15:22] Smith Miklos: Hi
  • [15:22] Torley Linden: Hm, this a Havok4-specific bug?
  • [15:22] Bridie Linden: Please add your comments/suggestions
  • [15:23] Bridie Linden: Let's import 220 and give to Sidewinder
  • [15:23] Alexa Linden: ok
  • [15:23] Aric Linden: I bet this isn't specific to havok
  • [15:23] Squirrel Wood: too small setrot values or too small setpos moves don't trigger an update
  • [15:23] Aric Linden: let's take it to triage first
  • [15:23] Squirrel Wood: not just on H4 methinks
  • [15:23] Bridie Linden: oh, good idea Aric
  • [15:23] Aric Linden nods at squirrel
  • [15:23] Alexa Linden: changed and noted
  • [15:23] Daedalus Young: internal rounding error maybe?
  • [15:23] Aric Linden: Thanks!
  • [15:23] Flux Woyseck: not that one is across the board
  • [15:23] Bridie Linden: Ty, Alexa...
  • [15:23] Squirrel Wood: methinks it has to do with keeping bandwidth low
  • [15:24] Flux Woyseck: all H's and server class's
  • [15:24] Torley Linden: I wonder why Lex set "Havok4 Beta" then, he's usually careful about that.
  • [15:24] Celierra Darling: We could try it right now....
  • [15:24] Torley Linden: Hm!
  • [15:24] Torley Linden: Hahaha South Park av. @_@
  • [15:24] Bridie Linden: Next up, SVC-188 - Votes: 3 - Server grows high (100-500) pending download count leading to rezzing failures and asset timeouts on high traffic regions. -
  • [15:24] Smith Miklos: South Park Rocks :))
  • [15:24] Torley Linden: I remember seeing this awhile back...
  • [15:24] Squirrel Wood: seen that happen usually accompanied with grid wide asset issues
  • [15:24] Smith Miklos: Anybody watched South Park?
  • [15:25] Alexa Linden: sorry, smith
  • [15:25] Torley Linden: it seems like it'd be exacerbated during those situations and more noticeable, Squirrel.
  • [15:25] Alexa Linden: we need to cover our Pjiras today
  • [15:25] Squirrel Wood: rephrase question: anybody did *not* watch it? :p
  • [15:25] Daedalus Young: it's on in 45 minutes here
  • [15:25] Daedalus Young: and season 11 only on Fridays
  • [15:25] Aric Linden: I never watched it Alexa
  • [15:25] Aric Linden doesn't watch much tv
  • [15:25] Celierra Darling raises paw at the 'not watch' :P
  • [15:25] Armanna Benoir Sls and dosnt watch TV haha
  • [15:26] Aric Linden: bridie, i'm not sure what to do about this one
  • [15:26] Bridie Linden: It hasn't been update for a while...
  • [15:26] Aric Linden: it's sort of a known issue
  • [15:26] Aric Linden: yep and I'm not sure there's special info here
  • [15:26] Kooky Jetaime is not really paying attention, sorry guys..... reading my laws and finding out most of my receieved telemarketing calls are actually illegal.. this is interesting.
  • [15:26] Squirrel Wood: occassionally pending counts go up a bit and then slowly go back down. but if it is steadily rising then asset server problems emerge soon after...
  • [15:26] Torley Linden: It is linked to an issue which is more specific and has logs/has been imported.
  • [15:26] Aric Linden: the region crashing is interesting tho
  • [15:26] Torley Linden: This describes symptoms but we need to find a cause.
  • [15:26] Flux Woyseck: Blame it on campers lol
  • [15:27] Bridie Linden: and that one has been imported
  • [15:27] Torley Linden: Doesn't seem easy to repro but if that's doable, then that gives grounds for analysis.
  • [15:27] Johnnie Nakamori: campers should not generator that much network trafifc
  • [15:27] Flux Woyseck: I was kidding
  • [15:27] Flux Woyseck: sorry
  • [15:27] Johnnie Nakamori: they are idle after a period of time..
  • [15:27] Bridie Linden: Looks like QA tried back in August...
  • [15:27] Torley Linden: I know Rx has been concerned about the avatars remaining gray on popular orientation regions... maybe that's related.
  • [15:27] Aric Linden nods
  • [15:27] Kooky Jetaime: Johnnie - actually, they are still having to receieve all the textures of people passing within their draw distance
  • [15:28] Kooky Jetaime: so depending on where they are, they can still be a drain
  • [15:28] Aric Linden: let's leave it open and ask if havok makes it better (it should)
  • [15:28] Johnnie Nakamori: less movement,
  • [15:28] Alexa Linden: I will mark with last triaged date
  • [15:28] Bridie Linden: ok
  • [15:28] Squirrel Wood: Add some code to sims that triggers a notification if the pending counts rise above 100 ?
  • [15:28] Johnnie Nakamori: agreed.. being on the server with a 76 avatar limit will impact that regions preformance
  • [15:28] Torley Linden: And the linked issue's corresponding internal issue was actually closed awhile ago with "Cannot Reproduce" so I'll match that.
  • [15:29] Bridie Linden: ty Torley
  • [15:29] Flux Woyseck: Yea H4 makes a lot of things flow smoother, however it seems to be a high resource drain client side, but maybe its just me
  • [15:29] Lightsaber: releasing controls
  • [15:29] Alexa Linden: thanks Torley
  • [15:29] Squirrel Wood: h4 is entirely server side. nothing to do with client stuff
  • [15:29] Torley Linden: :)

  • [15:29] Bridie Linden: At any rate...

  • [15:31] Celierra Darling: So maybe ask legal or something
  • [15:31] Celierra Darling: Yeah
  • [15:31] Torley Linden: Everett would prolly also know.
  • [15:31] Bridie Linden: I'll send Jimmy an email

  • [15:43] Torley Linden: Don't think there's an easy "fix" for this.
  • [15:43] Alexa Linden: last commented October
  • [15:43] Squirrel Wood: from a comment: this sounds like the same problem as SVC-553, what was the resolution? Not "able to reproduce" is hardly a resolution. Believe me. it reproduces for me EVERY log in.
