Apprentice Buddy is short for Second Life Mentor Apprentice Buddy, and is named in this fashion due to the limitation of the Projected Group Tag above the Avatar.
Second Life Mentor Apprentice Buddies are subscribed and approved to certain people within the Second Life Mentor group.
They are here for both their Mentoring of new residents, plus for shadowing Apprentice Mentors so they can become Second Life Mentors.
