This is a demonstration of some of the problems with joints and why they had to be removed prior to the Havok 4 upgrade.

Under certain conditions joints seem to fly apart and disappear, but the actual problem is that the jointed objects are jumping to a position near coordinates <0,0,0> in the simulator, which is always underground in one corner of the simulator.

In this image, a collection of twelve jointed objects were being edited in the Sandbox Island sim. The edit action caused all twelve of the jointed spheres to simultaneously jump a single location to near <0,0,0>.

The objects are still selected and visible because the client debug menus are open and "Limit Selection Distance" is turned off, and the avatar camera constraints are disabled to permit moving the camera far out and down of the simulator to see the objects..
