It was founded by Sterling Whitcroft principally as a home for gay residents, although all are welcomed. The continent consists of 36 SIMs, although 8 are currently in an abandoned state.
Landmarks
Among major landmarks on New Pride Land is Boots' Beach AKA Mission Beach (one of Second Life's most populous gay & lesbian social destinations). While owned by Boots Mission and Shawn Mission, it moved from the Provincetown continent in 2007. Another feature is Badpuppy Island, the SL presence of badpuppy.com. Most of the SIMs are residential, with parcels for both rental and purchase in a variety of planned and free-form environments.
