Suggested For Deletion/Wizardry and Steamworks

From Second Life Wiki
Jump to navigation Jump to search

Please remove suggested deletion request, as per Project:Terms_of_Use#Contributing_to_the_Wiki (also noted on EVERY edit window), Original Author has decided to get cold feet, and is making a fallacious claim that their **additional** license supersedes the usage agreement of this wiki, rather than providing addition options for users per Project:Terms_of_Use#Using_Wiki_Content. If any valid personally identifying privacy issues are found it would be prudent to edit those out specifically and move the page to remove any bactracking by history log. Thank You.

The content is allowed to be deleted by the Linden Terms of Service, filed under content removal. Quoting:

"You may delete copies of your Content from the Service, and the licenses you have granted for the deleted copies will terminate with certain limitations."

The previous commenter has suggested editing out logos as well as violating my copyright license on several occasions. The content is licensed on the Wizardry and Steamworks wiki and the wiki is currently in violation of the GNU Free Documentation License. Also, there are additional licenses which belong to several educational institutions with whom some of the articles were published with (see screenshot below).

Also, the decision for the content to be removed has been approved by Linden, in a response to the support ticket Case 01393364, quoted here:

Hi, Kira --

As a first step towards having the content deleted, would you mind going ahead and editing the page(s) to remove the content first? This will help our limited sysop resources identify that which you don't wish to have on the wiki any longer.

Once that's done and with a list of what you want removed (and if you're able to provide URLs that would be very helpful in speeding up the process) we can see about getting the pages permanently removed. Wikis are meant to be fairly resilient, so it'll take a bit of prodding, but I think it's possible.

Thanks!
~ Maggie Linden

Unless Void represents some authority, which she clearly doesn't since she has no connection to Wizardry and Steamworks, I would like to see this ticket taken care of. Thanks.

An additional ticket has been filed ticket Nr. 01422795 for the user above for not respecting the copyright notices and downloading the content, as she states, "just to annoy me". There may be further legal action taken against Void Singer in case she disrespects the law and the Linden Terms of Service as stated in the paragraph above.
