Agenda
Torley Linden: Hello hello!
Torley Linden: Friendly greetings!
McPhenius Swain: hey Torley
Torley Linden: Bridie's unable to make it today, but you've got me and Aric co-hosting!
Torley Linden: He'll be here shortly.
Torley Linden: Good to see ya Daedalus, McPhenius, Saijanai.
Torley Linden: And heya Rob!
Daedalus Young: ok cool
Rob Linden: hi all
Daedalus Young: hi Rob
McPhenius Swain: Hi Rob
Torley Linden: You guys prolly all know this but it can't hurt to share that this is the scheduled time for the bug triage focusing on Release Candidate issues.
McPhenius Swain: Rob, your one of the few I don't have a bear from, do you have one handy?
Rob Linden was wondering if Bridie figured out a plan for these.....hooray for Torley and Aric
Torley Linden: Rob, I'm so thankful you persisted and now Watching issues works on the Issue Tracker!
Torley Linden: We're going to be working from this agenda, which can be edited by any Resident... https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Bug_triage/Wednesday_Agenda <-- please have a look!
Daedalus Young: that blue thing to the South is a sort of caging device, I think Bridie would want it off her land, nudge nudge
Rob Linden: McPhenius.....I don't have a bear because I /still/ haven't gotten around to finishing mine
Torley Linden: (BRB, getting water and Aric is coming shortly!)
Torley Linden: *looks to the south*
Torley Linden: *poof*
Daedalus Young: thanks :)
Rob Linden: (and yes, I know how lame that is)
McPhenius Swain: Ok, I'll update profile notes so I don't bother you again :)
McPhenius Swain: It's ok not to have a bear.. I haven't gotten much on ebay for them ;) just kidding
Daedalus Young: ahh nice, the URL-er listens to me :)
McPhenius Swain: Ah Dae, I see yours
Rob Linden: just as a total tangent, anyone else on Yahoo IM noticing a huge spam increase?
McPhenius Swain: I had a few 30 second freezes last night
Daedalus Young: hi Aric
Torley Linden: I'm not on Yahoo IM so I can't say.
McPhenius Swain: Hey Aric
Torley Linden: *back with water*
Torley Linden: Aric! Woohoo!
Aric Linden: Hello all
Torley Linden: We can get the party started shortly.
Daedalus Young: ok, my issue is specific to Help > About SL, but we'll get there
Torley Linden: McPhenius, that's a fun anteater.
Aric Linden: McPhenius, you had Yahoo freezes?
McPhenius Swain: lol
Daedalus Young: hi Kooky
Kooky Jetaime kicks pjira
Aric Linden: Several other folks mentioned to me about yahoo
Torley Linden: Kooky, welcome!
Torley Linden: Good to see you again.
McPhenius Swain: thanks.. No Aric.. referring to Dae's inquiry
Kooky Jetaime: I hate jira....
McPhenius Swain: in the viewer
Saijanai Kuhn: hey all
Aric Linden: ahh. of course that's the problem with walking into a conversation
Aric Linden: and then trying to add value
McPhenius Swain: )
Torley Linden: Haha I like stumbling onto serendipitous things.
Aric Linden: /of course with me, the value is always questionable anyway
Daedalus Young: my issue on the agenda, which can be found at http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Bug_triage/Wednesday_Agenda though I'm sure you know
Kooky Jetaime: Forgive me.. I had entered a new issue.. including a nice repro........ somehow back'ed my browser, and couldn't forward again since everything is based on POST...
McPhenius Swain: Yahoo is a whole different story :)
Torley Linden: ARGH sucks to hear that Kooky, you lost it? :(
Kooky Jetaime: Yea.. couldn't load the page without resubmitting
Kooky Jetaime: and when that happens, I'll get a new page back
Kooky Jetaime: so all the entered text would be lost
Torley Linden: I use a utility called Ditto which adds multiple clipboards to Windows, useful for quickly capturing text so you can re-paste it if you lost it.
Torley Linden: I'm sorry to hear that though. :\
Saijanai Kuhn: BTW, while I forgot to vote, I can verify Kooky's jira
Kooky Jetaime: Which one oh
Kooky Jetaime: 26 soemtin
Kooky Jetaime: I got a gesture issue today Sai :)
Torley Linden: Aric, we'll start triaging the agenda on your mark!
Saijanai Kuhn: ah, OK. different one than what we tested, right?
Kooky Jetaime: SL no longer deactivates duplicately shortcutted gestures
Kooky Jetaime: but it only executes one (randomly apparently) of the multiples
Torley Linden: Sec, I'm going to relog into the RC viewer.
Kooky Jetaime: Anyone know what would gestures fall under? UI?
Connecting to in-world Voice Chat...
Connected
Aric Linden: those should go to RX
McPhenius Swain: wb
Aric Linden: yes Kooky
Torley Linden: Back.
Aric Linden: Shall we start?
Kooky Jetaime: rx?
Aric Linden: Sorry. Those should go to Benjamin Linden's triage on tuesdays
Kooky Jetaime: ok
Aric Linden: RX = Resident eXperience
Torley Linden: Kooky: And component-wise, I usually assign those to "Avatar/Character" + "User Interface".
Aric Linden: ok. let's start, shall we?
McPhenius Swain: sounds good
Torley Linden: Yes let's begin!
Saijanai Kuhn: BTW, Torley a followup on that crashing issue that Bushing was having...
Aric Linden: VWR-2639
Saijanai Kuhn: I don't see it on my Mac, but he sees it consistenty on 1000+ macs. I suspect its an issue with LAns and SL
Torley Linden: Thanks Saijanai.
Daedalus Young: 2639, if I read the last comment, appears to happen with large inventories
Rob Linden: could be two different problems for all we know
Daedalus Young: clearing cache apparently solves, but of course only for one login
McPhenius Swain: how large?
Torley Linden: I wonder how big Emma's inventory is, then?
Daedalus Young: RacerX speaks of 54,000
Aric Linden: This is interesting. Nothing changed between the final instance of the RC version of this and the R version
Gigs Taggart: I crash a lot after login, but not every time.
McPhenius Swain: Maybe in need of updated drivers?
Aric Linden: Maybe
Daedalus Young: well, a cleared cache seems to fix it for once, I don't know how that would affect drivers
Torley Linden: I'd suggest downgrade to Critical and ask for logs, and inventory sizes to get further confirmation -- Needs More Info.
Torley Linden: In context, it'd be a Showstopper if it was a confirmed crash-on-login for a substantial number of Residents.
Aric Linden: I wonder if she has a corrupted inventory item
Daedalus Young: with no workaround too, I presume
Torley Linden: Yes, Daedalus.
Aric Linden: I'm thinking that maybe we should hijack her account and login as her and see what happens
Torley Linden: Also note you can now watch issues on the Issue Tracker -- the "Watching" section on the left, I know Rob endured much of a saga so we could get this. :)
Torley Linden: Sounds like a good idea, Aric!
Torley Linden: Want me to followup and contact her later about this?
Daedalus Young: larger inventories have a higher chance of corrupted inv items too of course
Aric Linden: Thanks Torley. I think we should take this and assign it to me.
Aric Linden: Yes, if you follow up with her that would be excellent
Torley Linden: OK! Will do... *edits issue*
Aric Linden: VWR-2636
Aric Linden really likes the anteater av, McPhenius
Torley Linden: Haha I dig the anteater tongue.
Torley Linden: Issue Tracker is being a bit slow for me... *waits for page to finish loading*
Torley Linden: Kooky, this bug is new in the Release Candidate? It sounds vaguely familiar to an older one.
Aric Linden nods at torley
Aric Linden: I think it's a variation
Saijanai Kuhn: I have a peculiar one to report. Met someone an hour ago whose main avatar crashes SIMS on log-in
Aric Linden: hmm. this didn't repro for me following the steps
Eve Salomon: ok i have on eves paradise islind since last wednesday problems
Eve Salomon: we report dayly
Eve Salomon: and not solved till now
Kooky Jetaime: Sai, didn't we have one like that a couple weeks ago?
Eve Salomon: we are offline for all other islands and simes
Eve Salomon: we cant send groupe messages
Eve Salomon: we cant do businessw
Saijanai Kuhn: Electricity Eel is name of alt that he can log in with
Torley Linden: Eve, I'm sorry to hear this but this is a bug triage we're having -- I know who you can ask for help, if the Estate Owner/Manager hasn't already, they should contact Concierge.
Gigs Taggart: Aric I just reproed 2636
Gigs Taggart: the key is you have to collapse some of the folders
Torley Linden: Hey Gigs, thanks!
Gigs Taggart: they will pop back open
Aric Linden: Ok, gigs. thanks.
Eve Salomon: the estate owner
Gigs Taggart: when someone logs in or out
Eve Salomon: report dayly
Torley Linden: VWR-2636 sounds like something Richard would well be familiar with.
Eve Salomon: and nothing happen
Eve Salomon: we called too
Eve Salomon: nothing happen
Eve Salomon: so who help???????
Aric Linden: Let's import 2636, Torley
Torley Linden: If it indeed is a variation on an older sort of bug... I know there was that bug where you search for something in inventory and the window view resets if you get a blue notice in the lower-right.
Torley Linden: *imports*
Torley Linden: Aric, want to assign it to Richard or put it into *triage*?
Aric Linden: Eve, who did you report the problem to?
Kooky Jetaime: Whoo hoo one of mine.. hah
Aric Linden: Torley, assign it to triage please
Torley Linden: Done.
Aric Linden: VWR-2632
Eve Salomon: to the lindens region down report
Torley Linden: It's so exciting to have you guys actually here when we get to your bugs. Makes it easier to ask questions too. =)
Eve Salomon: the owner is su brando
Aric Linden: did su report it?
Eve Salomon: yes, sevral times
Kooky Jetaime: you know, I had a funny blue dialog yesterday or the day before
Torley Linden: *tries to repro VWR-2632*
Kooky Jetaime: but it didn't drop down, it popped up lower righ
Kooky Jetaime: right
Daedalus Young: I sometimes get empty dialogs when trying to enter closed regions
Torley Linden: Er, I mean, I can't repro this without doing a land sale... I haven't seen this one before. :\
Kooky Jetaime: well, this one was a string of text, a screwy sentence.
Saijanai Kuhn: that might have been a parcel/sim warning. I see those with nothing in them if I cross into forbidden sims, sometimes (attempt to cross into)
McPhenius Swain: I haven't bought any land recently
Aric Linden: I think we should import it and try to repro it in QA
Torley Linden: *imports*
Torley Linden: Thanks Aric.
Torley Linden: I appreciate the screenshot Mercia supplied.
Aric Linden: NP. It was the screenshots that convinced me. :-)
Aric Linden: VWR-2621
Daedalus Young: ah, there's mine :)
Filip Puchkina: hi
Gigs Taggart: Daesalus is this 100% of the time?
Daedalus Young: yes, every time
Aric Linden: Hi Filip
Gigs Taggart: sorry my typing is bad today :)
Torley Linden: Hm, I'm on Windows right now... let's see if this happens to me.
McPhenius Swain: Didn't happen to me with XP Torley
Gigs Taggart: no repro in linux
Kooky Jetaime: not here either- XP
Torley Linden: Not happening to me in XP either. Seems Mac-specific.
Saijanai Kuhn: doesn't happen on an old G5 mac with x.4.10
Daedalus Young: I tried it 15 minutes before this triage, happened again
Torley Linden: Thanks for being so recent about it, Daed.
Torley Linden: =)
Aric Linden: hmm. doesn't happen to me
Gigs Taggart: I wonder why the about window would be doing a DNS lookup
Torley Linden: Aric, are you on Windows too?
Gigs Taggart: that's strange
Daedalus Young: I can try now, then I'll be silent for 30 seconds :P
Aric Linden: i get immediate response.
Aric Linden: yes
Saijanai Kuhn: do you get teh dialog about going to an external website?
Aric Linden: I'm on windows
Aric Linden: Gigs is right, of course, it's doing a lookup
Gigs Taggart: to get the name
Gigs Taggart: oh maybe RDNS on the sim?
Saijanai Kuhn: not happening on G5 mac. Do you get teh dialog to open the website?
Daedalus Young: ok back, yes it happened now too
McPhenius Swain: same error message too?
Aric Linden: Daedalus, I'm not sure this is something we can resolve
Daedalus Young: I don't get a dialog, the viewer just pauses 30 seconds inbetween hitting About SL and the actual dialog
Gigs Taggart: daedalus go to the command line and do dig -x 63.210.159.143
Daedalus Young: the message is in SecondLife.log
Saijanai Kuhn: hmmm. that is a difference. Wonder if the dialgo missing thing is a clue
Gigs Taggart: macs have dig right? :)
Daedalus Young: I'm about to try, let's see...
Daedalus Young: Terminal right? :S
Gigs Taggart: yeah
Saijanai Kuhn: working directory is always /username when you open terminal
Saijanai Kuhn: /~username?
Gigs Taggart: yeah there's your problem
Daedalus Young: ; <<>> DiG 9.3.4 <<>> -x 63.210.159.143 ;; global options: printcmd ;; connection timed out; no servers could be reached
Gigs Taggart: I'm not sure it's a client bug if you can't do it with dig either
Filip Puchkina: whats up
Daedalus Young: hmm, port maybe?
Aric Linden: firewall?
Torley Linden: Hey Filip, we're in the midst of a bug triage! You're welcome to join us.
Daedalus Young: I know my router is currently having issues
Filip Puchkina: ty
Daedalus Young: often chokes on higher bandwidths
Torley Linden: Daed, try without the router?
Saijanai Kuhn: still wondering about the dialog box thing. Did you click the option "never show"
Gigs Taggart: daedalus this is a DNS problem of some sort
Daedalus Young: Never show? In where?
Gigs Taggart: I think we shoudl close the bug though.. .it seems like a local problem daedalus is having.
Gigs Taggart: unless LL's DNS servers are screwy somehow
Aric Linden: which is why I expressed concern about fixing it
Saijanai Kuhn: when I select help, I get a dialog box asking about going to the web site. You don't
Aric Linden: nope, if it was us everyone would exhibit the problem
Torley Linden: Saijanai, Help > About Second Life ?
Torley Linden: Or one of the other options?
Daedalus Young: I'll see if I can bypass the router sometime this week, if I can find my isp's info
Aric Linden: I'd like to close this and move along
Aric Linden: if that's ok?
Saijanai Kuhn: though he was getting Second Life Help, sorry.
Daedalus Young: yes, go ahead
Gigs Taggart: daedalus if you have your DNS server set to your router itself, change it to use your ISP DNS directly as a test
Torley Linden: Thanks for raising it!
Torley Linden: *closes issue*
Gigs Taggart: but yes lets move on :)
Daedalus Young: thanks, I'll try some stuff and come back on it if necessary ;)
Aric Linden: VWR-2618
Daedalus Young: 2618 isn't really RC specific is it? More Beta Havok4
Gigs Taggart: yeah
Torley Linden: Yeah, it's assigned to the wrong version looks like.
Saijanai Kuhn: I've seen it with a few objectgs in the RC. DOn't know if it is the same issue though
Aric Linden: This is a known Havok issue
Kooky Jetaime: yea, I was gonna say, I thought sitting was a known issue
Torley Linden: Hmmm oh that is a prob, we don't have a specific Havok 4 version in the Issue Tracker... how are they being triaged? I don't know...
Torley Linden: Looks like Havok4 issues often have "Havok4" in the title or some variant thereof but I'll check with Sidewinder, who's program-managing this, to see what would be most helpful for organization in the future.
Aric Linden: Right now they're being taken in by sidewinder, dan and andrew
Kooky Jetaime: Sai - Can you do a repro and lend a vote to VWR-2650, its the new one re gestures with duplicate triggers/shortcuts.
Torley Linden: Thanks Aric.
Aric Linden: I believe this was even listed as an exception in the release notes
Daedalus Young: a Havok4 component or versiion would be nice
Saijanai Kuhn: OK...
Torley Linden: Yeah, the Havok4 is its own viewer.
Torley Linden: I'll check with the Havok4 Linden peeps later about that.
Torley Linden: I'll set version to "Other" for now and we can move on. Sound good?
Aric Linden: yes
Torley Linden: Done!
Aric Linden: VWR-2615
Gigs Taggart: VWR-2615 is a mess of related bugs, almost a meta-issue, and not RC specific.
Torley Linden: What Gigs said, aptly!
Daedalus Young: I would more see it as Feature Request than bug too
Aric Linden: It seems to be a feature enhancement request
Aric Linden: /nods at daedalus
Torley Linden: What I can do for this one is get it to Periapse and Qarl's attention and ask them how they'd like to proceed... *changes version # too* and make it Feature Request.
Torley Linden: Thanks for your opinions on this...
Torley Linden: muchly appreciated.
Gigs Taggart: the next one, VWR-2611 is another havok4 bug
Gigs Taggart: brb
Aric Linden: VWR-2611
Aric Linden: let's just pull this aside and pass it to Sidewinder
Torley Linden: K, I'll forward it to him.
Aric Linden: VWR-2584
Kanjo Zabaleta: wewe
Kanjo Zabaleta: dv stai?
Torley Linden: Heya Kanjo!
McPhenius Swain: took awhile to get that .bmp to load
Kanjo Zabaleta: good evening people
Daedalus Young: hi
Kona Bedrosian: Hello
Gigs Taggart: 2584 .. he uses some words that make it sound like it's intermittant
Gigs Taggart: wonder if it's lag related
Daedalus Young: hmm, looks a bit like lag indeed
McPhenius Swain: possibly
Kooky Jetaime looks at himself..... uhm... am I sitting still?
Saijanai Kuhn: wave1
Daedalus Young: similar to prims snapping back when building
Aric Linden: it sounds very much like network to me
Aric Linden: yep
McPhenius Swain: I change AVs somewhat and sometimes I get it, but I blame it on lag
Gigs Taggart: relate it to BLT testing I'd say
Gigs Taggart: I'm linking it now
Torley Linden: w00t w00t.
Torley Linden: (Ack, my text chat lines are out of order!)
Torley Linden: Good idea, can you please do that Gigs? You're the pioneer!
Torley Linden: Whenever possible I recommend using PNG or JPG for images, no good reason to use BMP.
Gigs Taggart: :P
Torley Linden: This doesn't appear to be a RC-specific issue either...
Kooky Jetaime: Torley - can they disable bmps?
McPhenius Swain: exactly Torley :)
Daedalus Young: jpg is fine for JIRA, you don't always need crystal clear and sharp edges anyway just to demonstrate a bug
Gigs Taggart: Torley is behind my snapshot patch, pushing it along... :) Put your back into it :)
Torley Linden: Kooky -- I think we can allow/disallow certain filetypes. Rob would know more about that.
Torley Linden: Haha yes Gigs.
Aric Linden: are we ready for moving along?
Gigs Taggart: yeah
Daedalus Young: I am
Torley Linden: Yes.
Aric Linden: VWR-2583
Aric Linden: oooh
Aric Linden: i've seen this one but only intermittantly
You cannot create objects here. The owner of this land does not allow it. Use the land tool to see land ownership.
Entering god mode, level 200
Torley Linden: HAHAH
Torley Linden: It reproed for me.
Aric Linden: yep.
Aric Linden: isn't that cool?
Torley Linden: It's surreal!
McPhenius Swain: both non-ao and ao on works fine on that
Aric Linden: I LOVE it when folks take the time to figure out the repro
Torley Linden: Can you guys all see me sitting?
Torley Linden: ME TOO.
Kooky Jetaime: No
Daedalus Young: you're appearing normal to me
Aric Linden: Let's grabthis one
Kooky Jetaime: walkin to me
Torley Linden: Hmmm...
McPhenius Swain: your fine
Torley Linden: interesting, so it only shows up locally.
Torley Linden: *imports it*
Gigs Taggart: good bug report
Saijanai Kuhn: wave1
Torley Linden: Yeah. *applauds*
Saijanai Kuhn: wave1
Gigs Taggart: if iridium gets public love goign then give them one :)
Daedalus Young: yes, excellent one
McPhenius Swain: yep.. of course I skipped the "attach a prim"
Aric Linden: VWR-2518
Aric Linden: Yep gigs, will do on the public love
Aric Linden: I actually think public love would be awesome or to quote our absent hostess ossm
Saijanai Kuhn: Hello, avatar!
Saijanai Kuhn: wave2
Saijanai Kuhn: Hello, avatar!
Saijanai Kuhn: wave2
Saijanai Kuhn: Hello, avatar!
Saijanai Kuhn: wave2
Gigs Taggart: 2518 if you read down they tracked it down to VBO
bahiRD Oyen: Isit possible to bring up an issue without having filed a report? More a question
Saijanai Kuhn: Hello, avatar!
Saijanai Kuhn: wave2
Saijanai Kuhn: Hello, avatar!
Saijanai Kuhn: wave2
Saijanai Kuhn: Hello, avatar!
Saijanai Kuhn: wave2
Saijanai Kuhn: wave1
Torley Linden: bahiRD: We highly recommend filing reports so they can be kept track of. If you don't want your issue to get lost, that's precisely why. :)
Daedalus Young: I'd have to check this more, VBO is disabled on my machine anyway, but I did see degraded performance
Saijanai Kuhn: wave1
Saijanai Kuhn: wave1
Saijanai Kuhn: Hello, avatar!
Saijanai Kuhn: wave2
Saijanai Kuhn: wave1
Saijanai Kuhn: Hello, avatar!
Saijanai Kuhn: wave2
Saijanai Kuhn: wave1
Gigs Taggart: saij!
Torley Linden: Saijanai, what in blazes? :O
Kooky Jetaime: Testing my Bug Torley
Kooky Jetaime: I'm guessing :)
Aric Linden: saij just got a parrot
Torley Linden: Hahaha.
Torley Linden: BTW, VBO has also been changed in WindLight, it should work better there.
Aric Linden: I think we can close this one
Saijanai Kuhn: seems to work for me too
bahiRD Oyen: Ok.. how about just a question on the new version? Still not sure its actually a bug issue
Saijanai Kuhn: Hello, avatar!
Saijanai Kuhn: wave2
Saijanai Kuhn: Hello, avatar!
Saijanai Kuhn: wave2
Aric Linden: I think we can close this one avatar
Saijanai Kuhn: Hello, avatar!
Saijanai Kuhn: wave2
Kooky Jetaime: work like its supposed to or work like I said ?
Torley Linden: I'll close VWR-2518.
Saijanai Kuhn: wave1
Saijanai Kuhn: wave1
Saijanai Kuhn: Hello, avatar!
Saijanai Kuhn: wave2
Saijanai Kuhn: pressing f6 each time
Saijanai Kuhn: wave1
Kooky Jetaime: and its executing both
Kooky Jetaime: ?
Aric Linden: VWR-1810
Saijanai Kuhn: Hello, avatar!
Saijanai Kuhn: wave2
Saijanai Kuhn: wave1
Saijanai Kuhn: test
Kooky Jetaime: (The hellow avatar is throwing me )
Saijanai Kuhn: wave1
Saijanai Kuhn: test
Saijanai Kuhn: wave1
Saijanai Kuhn: wave1
Saijanai Kuhn: wave1
Gigs Taggart: VWR-1992 is almost the same as 1810
Saijanai Kuhn: huh and now it stops
Saijanai Kuhn: its random but jsually grabs the first in the list
Saijanai Kuhn: usually
Kooky Jetaime: Sai, let me toss you the two I made
Torley Linden: *has a look*
Kooky Jetaime: and I have all my gestures deactivated
Torley Linden: Davey sure did a neat summary.
Eve Salomon: Good night i hope you could solve the problem soon Aric. Ty in advance
Aric Linden: I'll see what I can do for you eve.
Aric Linden: but i'll warn you in advance. i can't work miracles
Aric Linden: i'm only a linden
Torley Linden: *grins* ;)
Aric Linden: Shall we take this one?
Gigs Taggart: looks valid
Torley Linden: Sounds like one for our bhear peeps?
Aric Linden: I can't repro it. I specifically went through the wizard on the mac last week
Kooky Jetaime: ((If anyone here wants to test VWR-2650, say and I'll toss you a pair of gestures to activate))
Aric Linden: and i know if found my devices
Aric Linden: and I JUST did this today on my PC at work
Torley Linden: Hmmmm.
Aric Linden: but, i think we should try it on several machines
Torley Linden: OK, sounds good to import?
Aric Linden: play with it a bit and verify it
Gigs Taggart: There were some early issues related to weird sound devices installed
Aric Linden: exactly gigs
Gigs Taggart: such as voice distorders
bahiRD Oyen: Thanks for the help.. have a great night :)))
Gigs Taggart: distorters
Aric Linden: which is why I was playing with it
Torley Linden: Oh, like MorphVOX and stuff?
Torley Linden: Night night bahiRD!
Tefal Torok shouts: Ea Magne
Gigs Taggart: yeah
Kooky Jetaime: Heh, my voice is completely unavailable now
Aric Linden: because?
Kooky Jetaime: And I do have MorphVox installed, I'll admit it
Daedalus Young: had a rough night?
Saijanai Kuhn: Hello, avatar!
Saijanai Kuhn: wave2
Kooky Jetaime: I don't know Aric
Saijanai Kuhn: Hello, avatar!
Saijanai Kuhn: wave2
Saijanai Kuhn: Bug Test 2
Saijanai Kuhn: wave1
Saijanai Kuhn: Bug Test 1
Saijanai Kuhn: all called via F6
Aric Linden: hmm. let's chat about that in a minute
Kooky Jetaime: The SL Voice subsystem isn't even registering any sound devices ??
Kooky Jetaime: I go through the setup, where the 4 boxes used to be is "Please Wait"
Aric Linden: I know rascal (who comments on this) and he's a pretty smart and savvy guy
Aric Linden: so let's take this
Torley Linden: K, imported!
Aric Linden: ok. shall we try for one more?
Torley Linden: SURE
Gigs Taggart: yeah the next one is pretty straightforward I'd say
Tefal Torok shouts: scripter ????can't even make them orbit lolololololololo
Aric Linden: VWR-2154
Tefal Torok shouts: amateur
Torley Linden: This hasn't happened to me yet but seems like Davey Callisto's still having problems.
Gigs Taggart: yeah there's a lot of documentation there
Aric Linden: let's take this one
Torley Linden: Looks like good info on there. Seems like a good idea to change priority to Major until we get more validation about it?
Aric Linden: This was supposed to have been fixed by the updated Vivox API code
Gigs Taggart: yeah it looks like it was fixed for at leat some people
Aric Linden: I'm wondering if the distribution didn't make it to all the servers
Saijanai Kuhn notes that his mac gets fps issues so oftenhe'd have a hard time telling if it was voice related or not
Torley Linden: Intriguing.
Gigs Taggart: I'm bugging out, later guys
Torley Linden: Hehe have a good one Gigs!
Torley Linden: Great to see ya again.
Aric Linden: chow gigs
Aric Linden: I think it might be good for Steve to look at these images
Daedalus Young: I know fps drops when the Group IM window is open
Saijanai Kuhn: hey, about the guy with the sim-crashing avatar. He says he's a basic mem ber and he's been unable to get anyone to look at the issue. Suggestiosn?
Torley Linden: Saijanai, which issue?
Saijanai Kuhn: he logs in with his main, and wherever he logs in, the sim crashes
Torley Linden: This sounds similar to another case that Studio Blacklight recently investigated.
Torley Linden: What's his name, Saijanai? Is there a Issue Tracker #? I'll followup.
Saijanai Kuhn: he says he can't get a ticket to stay open about it I guess because he is a basic member
Daedalus Young: good to get a free camping spot though :P
Saijanai Kuhn: He's out of class by now, from what he says so I'll IM him for more info and to open a jira
Torley Linden: OK thanks Saijanai, feel free to email me, torley@lindenlab.com so I can alert our devs about it.
