- [12:07] Aric Linden: let's start, shall we?
- [12:07] Kooky Jetaime: Why not.
- [12:07] Alexa Linden: SVC-578[c
- [12:08] Ramzi Linden: could you mention which filter you are running from? sorry I'm new.
- [12:08] Cogsworth Linden: https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Bug_triage/Monday_Agenda
- [12:09] Aric Linden: let's take this one
- [12:09] Aric Linden: Alexa - can you assign it to triage please?
- [12:09] Alexa Linden: triage team?
- [12:09] Alexa Linden: yup :)
- [12:09] Alexa Linden: next is
- [12:09] Alexa Linden: VWR-6656[c
- [12:10] Aric Linden: This is really sad making
- [12:10] Cogsworth Linden: I see this one myself on my system
- [12:10] Aric Linden: yep, i've seen it too
- [12:10] Harleen Gretzky: Just since RC2, worked great on RC0 and 1
- [12:10] Aric Linden: bring in and pass to my man pastrami please
- [12:10] Alexa Linden: noted
- [12:10] Aric Linden: yep, harleen - i think there was something bad in the render updates
- [12:10] Alexa Linden: VWR-1415[c
- [12:11] Bridie Linden: i think 6656 warranted the 'holy jaggies' comment on the blog
- [12:11] Harleen Gretzky: lol
- [12:11] Alexa Linden: lol
- [12:11] Alexa Linden: go ahead :P
- [12:12] Kooky Jetaime: I think part of that is just prims extending over the sim line
- [12:12] Kooky Jetaime: As a results, the prims are dawn but have no physicality
- [12:12] Alexa Linden: at the point of the cross-over?
- [12:12] Kooky Jetaime: Yep
- [12:12] Cogsworth Linden: will have to check his bridges
- [12:12] Kooky Jetaime: I've seen this before
- [12:12] Squirrel Wood: So basically prims which are in a different simulator are not simulated by the simulator you exit/enter
- [12:13] Kooky Jetaime: Usually what it is, was the prims extended over the sim line, the viewer drew them, but they had no physics since the sim was oblivious to their existance
- [12:13] Kooky Jetaime: yes
- [12:13] Squirrel Wood: and the time it takes for you to switch over to the next sim, your client interpolates.
- [12:13] Squirrel Wood: which makes you fall/raise
- [12:13] Aric Linden: Kooky, that's really interesting
- [12:13] Squirrel Wood: as I believe it interpolates based on ground slope
- [12:13] Cogsworth Linden: I've generally extended prims 4.5 meters into the next sim, from each side of the sim crossing
- [12:13] Kooky Jetaime: if thats the line
- [12:14] Kooky Jetaime: walking from this sim to that sim
- [12:14] Kooky Jetaime: liek so, you have a bit here where theres nothing to stand on, so you fall through and are handed off
- [12:14] Kooky Jetaime: resulting in being below this prim
- [12:14] Kooky Jetaime: but going this way
- [12:15] Kooky Jetaime: your on the prim allt he way through the cross, and "land" on the other one
- [12:15] Aric Linden: let's take this and pass to sidewinder
- [12:15] Alexa Linden: loves show and tell :)
- [12:15] Alexa Linden: noted
- [12:15] Aric Linden: it looks like something that will give him a lot of joy
- [12:15] Alexa Linden: thanks Kooky :)
- [12:15] Kooky Jetaime: I think its more a case of people just have to build properly on seams
- [12:15] Kooky Jetaime: no problem
- [12:15] Alexa Linden: next is
- [12:15] Alexa Linden: VWR-6389[c
- [12:15] Squirrel Wood: Let me know if my interpolation theory works out :p
- [12:15] Kooky Jetaime: because unless a sim becomes aware of the prims against the edge from the next sim, I don't know if its correctable
- [12:16] Squirrel Wood: I got that smartheap error once on client exit on rc0
- [12:16] Aric Linden: bridie, isn't this fixed in upcoming rc?
- [12:16] Kooky Jetaime: I only get the smartheap error when SL has sucked up 99% of my RAM
- [12:17] Bridie Linden: checks
- [12:17] Aric Linden: SL uses your ram?
- [12:17] Harleen Gretzky: Tghat's when I get it also
- [12:17] Aric Linden: is shocked
- [12:17] Kooky Jetaime: Har har
- [12:17] Aric Linden: grins at Kooky and Harleen
- [12:17] Squirrel Wood: SL works entirely out of the swap file I heard. So It can't possibly use any ram at all :p
- [12:17] Kooky Jetaime: Someone get the funny man a jesters outfit
- [12:17] Alexa Linden: laughs
- [12:17] Aric Linden: glances at Kooky
- [12:18] Aric Linden: the hat won't fit over my haircut you know
- [12:18] Alexa Linden: hahaha
- [12:18] Squirrel Wood: Aric, that hair makes you more expensive to render than me :p
- [12:18] Alexa Linden: lol
- [12:18] Kooky Jetaime: And somethings funky here Squirrel, because I don't use virtual memory
- [12:18] Kooky Jetaime: Its alllll Reall here
- [12:18] Aric Linden: But Squirrel, it makes me so cuuuuuute
- [12:19] Ramzi Linden: this issue VWR-6389 has an internal equivalent tracking ID : DEV-13461
- [12:19] Alexa Linden: so already imported
- [12:19] Ramzi Linden: not imported, juyst noticed independently by our QA team
- [12:19] Aric Linden: I'm pretty sure it's tracking for fixing, let's move along
- [12:19] Ramzi Linden: I will update both with teh cross links
- [12:19] Alexa Linden: VWR-6651[c
- [12:19] Aric Linden: thanks Ramzi
- [12:20] Alexa Linden: thanks Ramzi :D
- [12:20] Squirrel Wood: I think shoutet messages like that should be llOwnerSay instead
- [12:20] Squirrel Wood: shouted even
- [12:20] Bridie Linden: ty ramzi
- [12:20] Aric Linden: This is also being tracked. I believe that Don Linden will be fixing it today
- [12:20] Harleen Gretzky: What if it is deeded
- [12:20] Aric Linden: It was discussed this AM in a meeting i was in
- [12:20] Squirrel Wood: deeded objects still have an owner, no?
- [12:20] Alexa Linden: mark as fix pending Aric?
- [12:21] Harleen Gretzky: The group
- [12:21] Kooky Jetaime: Why are objects shouting at all?
- [12:21] Squirrel Wood: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-6728 and https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-6730 want votes both fit in with that issue btw :p
- [12:21] Aric Linden: very old code, Kooky -
- [12:21] Aric Linden: it was referred to as code from before the before times
- [12:21] Kooky Jetaime: Roflol
- [12:21] Kooky Jetaime: you know, I've never hit that
- [12:21] Cogsworth Linden: wow that's really... uhm.. old
- [12:21] Harleen Gretzky: Group objects could not IM originally so they shouted instead was what I always understood
- [12:22] Aric Linden: there was once a desire to have objects be able to talk about someone doing something untoward to them
- [12:22] Aric Linden: give harleen a sart please
- [12:22] Alexa Linden: LMAO
- [12:22] Cogsworth Linden: bad prim touch
- [12:22] Bridie Linden: We're tracking SVC-1896
- [12:22] Kooky Jetaime: omg
- [12:22] Alexa Linden: hands Harleen a gold Sarts
- [12:22] Harleen Gretzky: ty :)
- [12:22] Alexa Linden: Gigs :D
- [12:22] Aric Linden: shall we move on?
- [12:22] Gigs Taggart: hi
- [12:22] Squirrel Wood: The Gigs has arrived!
- [12:22] Kooky Jetaime: gigs :)
- [12:22] Alexa Linden: so what if any action on this ?
- [12:22] Aric Linden: welcome Gigs
- [12:23] Cogsworth Linden: Halllooooo
- [12:23] Alexa Linden: fix pending or last triaged?
- [12:23] Gigs Taggart: where are we
- [12:23] Aric Linden: last triaged and assign to me please
- [12:23] Alexa Linden: k
- [12:23] Squirrel Wood: Hand over to the grid monkeys so that they can beat it till it works properly? ^^
- [12:23] Aric Linden: Gigs, I think we're in the open source arena
- [12:23] Kooky Jetaime: I say just eliminate it
- [12:23] Alexa Linden: next up is
- [12:23] Alexa Linden: VWR-4027[c
- [12:24] Kooky Jetaime: (Whats with all the [c]'s, is the jira now copyrighted or something?))
- [12:24] Harleen Gretzky: The links show up that way
- [12:24] Alexa Linden: yup
- [12:24] Gigs Taggart: cached
- [12:24] Gigs Taggart: on sljirastats
- [12:24] Alexa Linden: I'm just cutting and pasting :P
- [12:24] Gigs Taggart: if jira is slow you can click the C
- [12:25] Aric Linden: let's grab this and assign to me please
- [12:25] Aric Linden: I'd like to get a repro
- [12:25] Alexa Linden: noted
- [12:25] Alexa Linden: moving on to patches
- [12:25] Alexa Linden: VWR-6668[c
- [12:25] Harleen Gretzky: Refresh you missed two
- [12:26] Alexa Linden: arf
- [12:26] Alexa Linden: k
- [12:26] Alexa Linden: switching to
- [12:26] Alexa Linden: VWR-6730[c
- [12:26] Alexa Linden: sorry :)
- [12:27] Squirrel Wood: heh
- [12:27] Gigs Taggart: I don't know about a pop up dialog
- [12:27] Aric Linden: I'm not clear on how this might work
- [12:27] Aric Linden: I think Warkirby makes useful comments here
- [12:27] Squirrel Wood: Best ask Soft :)
- [12:27] Aric Linden: anyone else?
- [12:27] Kooky Jetaime: What about a popup dialog available in the text boxes? Right click on a name and you get a pie?
- [12:28] Gigs Taggart: Yes I think there are better ways to handle this.
- [12:28] Kooky Jetaime: we'll have to make the text boxes smarter but
- [12:28] Aric Linden: Let's import and pass to RX
- [12:28] Alexa Linden: ok
- [12:28] Alexa Linden: VWR-6728[c
- [12:28] Aric Linden: nods at Kooky
- [12:28] Aric Linden: I'm not sure how to prioritize this against other issues
- [12:28] Kooky Jetaime: well, I'm getting IM Spam when I'm offline
- [12:29] Kooky Jetaime: so I'm getting a bit irritated
- [12:29] Squirrel Wood: as of late, spam bots have been quite busy advertising free L$ and a suspicious url... which is what originated these two issues
- [12:29] Alexa Linden: yup
- [12:29] Alexa Linden: it's annoying
- [12:29] Kooky Jetaime: Well, shoulnd't there be a way to pick these bots out?
- [12:29] Squirrel Wood: so Soft thought LL needs to provide some functionality to counteract that before it gets any worse :)
- [12:29] Kooky Jetaime: if a new account comes on and within 12 hours starts sending massive IM's, lock them out
- [12:29] Aric Linden: worthwhile ferrsure
- [12:29] Gigs Taggart: Well I agree it should be easier to AR spam
- [12:30] Gigs Taggart: There is no AR category for spam right now!
- [12:30] Kooky Jetaime: Its just harassment
- [12:30] Gigs Taggart: I think there are many other things we can do to help the situation other than popups
- [12:30] Kooky Jetaime: yea, no modal popups please
- [12:31] Gigs Taggart: Right now it is still impossible to see what is IMing you right?
- [12:31] Gigs Taggart: That would be a better priority
- [12:31] Gigs Taggart: There's no way to locate the spamming object or know who owns it.
- [12:31] Kooky Jetaime: Yes.
- [12:32] Kooky Jetaime: Good poitn
- [12:32] Harleen Gretzky: It is listed in teh Near Me window for 15 seconds, if you click on the object then the profile button it brings up the owner's profile
- [12:32] Alexa Linden: Hey Ego :)
- [12:32] Kooky Jetaime: But I think the bulk of my spam is from bots, not objects
- [12:32] Ego Essex: Hello :)
- [12:32] Alexa Linden: same Kooky
- [12:32] Gigs Taggart: What is "near me"?
- [12:32] Aric Linden: yeah. Let's let RX take a crack at it
- [12:32] Harleen Gretzky: The double arrows on Local Chat
- [12:32] Kooky Jetaime: Open your local history Gigs
- [12:32] Aric Linden: and move along
- [12:32] Gigs Taggart: oh I never noticed that chevron
- [12:33] Aric Linden: I'm wondering what Ramzi would like to do with vwr-6668
- [12:33] Ramzi Linden: Yes, I've just looked at it. In theory this should be okay.
- [12:33] Ramzi Linden: I just want to check with our Windlight team about what Sky Terrain used to refer to
- [12:33] Kooky Jetaime: What it still refers to
- [12:34] Ramzi Linden: yup.
- [12:34] Ramzi Linden: this affecst localization, so this should be imported and assigned to me
- [12:34] Kooky Jetaime: aCtually
- [12:34] Kooky Jetaime: why does Terrain Detail exist twice?
- [12:34] Ramzi Linden: will do!
- [12:34] Kooky Jetaime: both as a slider and as a radio button?
- [12:34] Alexa Linden: so do we have an action on this item?
- [12:35] Ramzi Linden: I will import -6668
- [12:35] Aric Linden: Which item alexa?
- [12:35] Alexa Linden: 6728
- [12:35] Aric Linden: import and pass to RX
- [12:35] Aric Linden: por favor
- [12:35] Alexa Linden: ok :)
- [12:36] Alexa Linden: and ramzi is taking care of 6668
- [12:37] Gigs Taggart: 6573 is valid, no one has arch anymore on linux. I recommend assigning to tofu and import.
- [12:37] Alexa Linden: so we are at VWR-6573[c
- [12:37] Kooky Jetaime: Just lost Jira I think
- [12:37] Gigs Taggart: kooky yeah that's why we have the [c
- [12:37] Gigs Taggart: use it now
- [12:37] Alexa Linden: sounds good if Aric agrees
- [12:38] Kooky Jetaime: Ah.. C link.
- [12:38] Kooky Jetaime: actually looks at the triage agenda
- [12:38] Aric Linden: c link?
- [12:38] Squirrel Wood: [C]
- [12:38] Gigs Taggart: cached bug report for sljirastats
- [12:38] Gigs Taggart: for when jira goes down, like right now
- [12:38] Gigs Taggart: we can use the sljirastats links
- [12:38] Aric Linden: pjira is happy for me
- [12:38] Aric Linden: not even breathing hard
- [12:38] Gigs Taggart: hehe
- [12:38] Alexa Linden: lol
- [12:39] Gigs Taggart: well it's down to some of us :P
- [12:39] Aric Linden: sorry
- [12:39] Kooky Jetaime: I can't connect to pjira
- [12:39] Aric Linden: i think we're at vwr-6573
- [12:39] Alexa Linden: ya
- [12:39] Squirrel Wood: aye. pjira seems dead
- [12:39] Gigs Taggart: [12:37
- [12:39] Aric Linden: wow. beeeezaro
- [12:39] Alexa Linden: Gigis suggested sending it to Tofu
- [12:39] Alexa Linden: jinx
- [12:39] Aric Linden: actually i'd send it to cube
- [12:39] Gigs Taggart: k
- [12:39] Alexa Linden: ok
- [12:40] Alexa Linden: next up is VWR-6718[c
- [12:40] Aric Linden: I don't know what to make of this
- [12:40] Aric Linden: but i'm thinking it should go to rx
- [12:40] Alexa Linden: ok - noted
- [12:41] Squirrel Wood: the script icon and the noscript icon are not consistent?
- [12:41] Gigs Taggart: I agree with it, it should be the sheet of paper with a bigger red circle
- [12:41] Alexa Linden: next is VWR-6348[c
- [12:42] Gigs Taggart: these 3 patches look like valid concerns
- [12:42] Gigs Taggart: well and the 4th a little lower
- [12:42] Alexa Linden: the 4 joystick ones?
- [12:42] Gigs Taggart: yeah
- [12:43] Gigs Taggart: I don't think any of them are controversial except maybe the run when you push hard forward
- [12:43] Gigs Taggart: but that one has the most votes
- [12:44] Aric Linden: I think they should go to RX and then to Steve linden
- [12:44] Aric Linden: but RX first
- [12:44] Alexa Linden: ok
- [12:45] Aric Linden: i think we're tracking for a land speed record today
- [12:45] Alexa Linden: that skips us down to
- [12:45] Alexa Linden: VWR-6540[c
- [12:45] Squirrel Wood: Now that is a nice one..
- [12:45] Gigs Taggart: I like it, but I almost think it should be in a real menu instead of debug
- [12:45] Aric Linden: it's a great patch, no doubt
- [12:46] Alexa Linden: Rx?
- [12:46] Aric Linden: nods at alexa
- [12:46] Alexa Linden: ok
- [12:46] Alexa Linden: next is VWR-6571[c
- [12:46] Gigs Taggart: yeah that fixes an annoyance. IIRC it used to be this way
- [12:46] Gigs Taggart: I think this might be fixing a regression
- [12:47] Aric Linden: Let's grab it and assign to triage
- [12:47] Kooky Jetaime: It is an annoyance
- [12:47] Alexa Linden: noted
- [12:47] Alexa Linden: Misc pool is next
- [12:47] Kooky Jetaime: Trying to edit attachments and need to touch it, requires leaving build mode.. Major pita
- [12:47] Alexa Linden: MISC-1124[c
- [12:47] Alexa Linden: lol
- [12:47] Aric Linden: Major Pita?
- [12:48] Aric Linden: like, felafel?
- [12:48] Alexa Linden: I am getting duplicate group messages a lot
- [12:48] Alexa Linden: LOL
- [12:48] Harleen Gretzky: pin in the arse
- [12:48] Aric Linden: oh
- [12:48] Aric Linden: sorry.
- [12:48] Gigs Taggart: Yeah Major Pita is under the command of General Falafel
- [12:48] Alexa Linden: LMAO
- [12:48] Aric Linden: grins
- [12:48] Gigs Taggart: 1124 my wife told me happening to other users
- [12:48] Gigs Taggart: offline IMs from a certain person that many many people are getting that they never sent
- [12:49] Gigs Taggart: this bug report sucks
- [12:49] Harleen Gretzky: These aren't duplicate group messages, the are old-style offline object IMs
- [12:49] Alexa Linden: ahhhhh
- [12:49] Gigs Taggart: it's a bad report but I think the issue is real
- [12:49] Alexa Linden: big difference
- [12:49] Gigs Taggart: These are "A message from Foo is waiting for you in SL, log in to see it" yeah
- [12:49] Aric Linden: let's take it and assign to me
- [12:50] Alexa Linden: ok
- [12:50] Gigs Taggart: and the person never sent anything
- [12:50] Aric Linden: I'll have someone in Legba repro it
- [12:50] Harleen Gretzky: I joined the group, it happens when you rez the Model app object from teh notices, and two of the notices seem corrupt
- [12:50] Gigs Taggart: I'll edit this bug report to not suck
- [12:50] Alexa Linden: thanks Gigs :)
- [12:50] Alexa Linden: lol
- [12:50] Alexa Linden: next is VWR-6591[c
- [12:50] Squirrel Wood: I would assume there is a bad prim somewhere at that place..
- [12:51] Alexa Linden: they attached the crash report so that gives us something to look at
- [12:52] Gigs Taggart: I have seen that happen before.
- [12:52] Alexa Linden: was it resolved and how?
- [12:52] Gigs Taggart: It was before Jira
- [12:53] Alexa Linden: ahh
- [12:53] Gigs Taggart: I sent a bug report the old way
- [12:53] Kooky Jetaime: Maybe a trip to the sim is in order
- [12:53] Gigs Taggart: With OpenJpeg it happens more recently but I don't report those
- [12:53] Gigs Taggart: because it's the same one or two bugs in openjpeg
- [12:53] Kooky Jetaime: NMI - Exact location she's arriving from, Draw distance
- [12:54] Kooky Jetaime: err Arriving too
- [12:54] Gigs Taggart: Kooky threw a non maskable interrupt
- [12:55] Gigs Taggart: someone reset her
- [12:55] Gigs Taggart: him rather, sorry :P
- [12:55] Gigs Taggart: I guess we aren't aiming for record throughput today? :P
- [12:55] Alexa Linden: lol
- [12:55] Aric Linden: we're always aiming, rarely hitting
- [12:56] Alexa Linden: so any action with 6591?
- [12:56] Squirrel Wood: just state at the start of the hour that all issues on the agenda will be imported and you have a new record :p
- [12:56] Aric Linden: import and assign to me
- [12:56] Alexa Linden: moving to # 20 for today
- [12:56] Alexa Linden: and our last item
- [12:56] Aric Linden: squirrel, then we'd miss all the fun of chat
- [12:56] Squirrel Wood: hehe
- [12:57] Alexa Linden: VWR-2610[c
- [12:57] Gigs Taggart: sounds like KDU failing
- [12:57] Gigs Taggart: wasn't there a KDU version problem?
- [12:57] Gigs Taggart: someone upgraded it but only half way?
- [12:57] Aric Linden: this one is curazy
- [12:57] Aric Linden: import and pass to pastrami
- [12:58] Alexa Linden: done
- [12:58] Bridie Linden: video card issue and I think we have internal issue already
- [12:58] Aric Linden: please make periapse a watcher
- [12:58] Kooky Jetaime: Ah.
- [12:58] Bridie Linden: i'll dig it up alexa
- [12:58] Alexa Linden: thanks Bridie :)
- [12:58] Alexa Linden: Awesome hour everyone :)
