- [12:07] Harleen Gretzky: Hi Aric
- [12:07] Gellan Glenelg: is this a dupe of VWR-1749 as alexa suggests?
- [12:08] Bambers Linden: Aric - either that, or Bridie will be leaving via helicopter after triage
- [12:08] Yuu Nakamichi: hi aric, bridie
- [12:08] Aric Linden: hey Yuu
- [12:09] Aric Linden: giggles
- [12:09] MystiTool HUD: 1.0.23: Entering chat range: Saijanai Kuhn (15m)
- [12:09] Aric Linden: I'm not sure that Paisley is seeing the right thing
- [12:10] Aric Linden: I don't remember whether that SMC control sees CPU or GPU
- [12:10] Bridie Linden: Lance Corrimal reopened it
- [12:10] Gellan Glenelg: but was that cos he thinks it's a separate issue, or cos he didnt understand resolved/dupe?
- [12:11] Nya Linden: is the system call the agent["mem_use" that Kathrine mentions above Paisley?
- [12:11] Aric Linden: I think alexa is right. 2358 is a dup of 1749
- [12:11] Aric Linden: I am not sure we need both open
- [12:12] Aric Linden: let'
- [12:12] Aric Linden: let's link 2358 and close
- [12:12] Nya Linden: sounds good to me. Will make sure the important comments get into 1749.
- [12:13] Aric Linden: thanks
- [12:13] Aric Linden: let's go to svc-2604

- [12:14] Bridie Linden: nods
- [12:15] Nya Linden: kk. https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-8008
- [12:15] Aric Linden: cool patch
- [12:15] Aric Linden: Let's take and pass to RX first and to steve
- [12:16] Bridie Linden: quite the ruth in that first attached pic
- [12:16] Nya Linden: eeeh... next! https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-8080
- [12:16] Aric Linden: 'nother nice number
- [12:16] Aric Linden: retrieve re: rx
- [12:17] Nya Linden: in English, Aric? :)
- [12:17] Bambers Linden: take in and give to resident experience
- [12:17] Aric Linden: I was trying my all new alliteration mode
- [12:17] Aric Linden: see, bambers speaks it
- [12:18] Nya Linden: ahh.. I will get an alliteration dictionary.
- [12:18] Aric Linden: then send to steve
- [12:18] Bambers Linden: you exited alliteration mode before saying that, chief
- [12:18] Nya Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-4065
- [12:18] Bridie Linden: be quiet bambers
- [12:18] Bridie Linden: grins
- [12:19] Bambers Linden: zips it
- [12:19] Aric Linden: bambers beware bridie's burgeoning bashing
- [12:19] Bridie Linden: lol
- [12:19] Bambers Linden: :~|
- [12:20] Gellan Glenelg: VWR-4065: repeat? retriev rre:rx?
- [12:20] Gellan Glenelg: ;P
- [12:21] Bridie Linden: Gellan's good
- [12:21] Bambers Linden: wow
- [12:21] Bambers Linden: technically a 5-level alliteration
- [12:21] Aric Linden: aric applauds and applies alliteration arts
- [12:22] Nya Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-8064
- [12:23] Aric Linden: ibid for rx then steve
- [12:24] Bridie Linden: +1
- [12:24] Nya Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-8024
- [12:24] Bambers Linden: ummm
- [12:25] Bambers Linden: re VWR-8056 etc, are we also triaging the issue contents themselves?
- [12:25] Bambers Linden: or just handing the entire bug and all it's mini-changes along with no comment?
- [12:26] Bambers Linden: (I'm curious - I have questions is all)
- [12:26] Nya Linden: isn't 8064 the contents of 8056?
- [12:26] Aric Linden: don't understand the question
- [12:26] Aric Linden: ahh
- [12:26] Aric Linden: yes
- [12:26] Harleen Gretzky: sub-task
- [12:27] Aric Linden: nods
- [12:27] Bambers Linden: VWR-8064 is a subtask of 8056, but they have some changes I'd finsd a little questionable
- [12:27] Nya Linden: speak up! which ones?
- [12:27] Aric Linden: please enumerate
- [12:27] Bambers Linden: e.g. "removed enabled="true" because it's default
- [12:29] Bambers Linden: removing that means anyone wanting to chage that value to non-default will have to create the entire line of code and put it in the correct place, etc. Correct?
- [12:29] Bambers Linden: so I'm wondering if we're discussing that now, or handing it off as "fine, do it"
- [12:30] Bambers Linden: (sorry - that took ages to explain :*/ )
- [12:30] Aric Linden: no, we're handing it to RX to evaluate how it fits with their notions of how stuff ought to work
- [12:30] Bambers Linden: OK. sorry :~)
- [12:30] Aric Linden: they have the final say on workflow user experience etc
- [12:30] Aric Linden: nah, good question
- [12:30] Nya Linden: np. good you brought it up.
- [12:30] Bambers Linden: sits in the corner and thinks about what he's done
- [12:30] Bambers Linden: ok :) next
- [12:30] Nya Linden: since we're on it, what do we want to do with https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-8056? pass to RX?
- [12:31] Harleen Gretzky: then Steve :)
- [12:31] Aric Linden: nods
- [12:31] Aric Linden: my work here is done
- [12:31] Aric Linden: I'm going to take a nap
- [12:31] Nya Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-8024 back to this, then.
- [12:32] Gellan Glenelg: I'm guessing: pass to RX
- [12:32] Bambers Linden: aric's additional alliteration alleviated awakeness abominably
- [12:32] Harleen Gretzky: then Steve
- [12:33] Bambers Linden: I say pass to Rx
- [12:33] Nya Linden: heh. I'm guessing we all say that.
- [12:33] Bambers Linden: where's alexa when you need her
- [12:34] Nya Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-7362
- [12:34] Gellan Glenelg: Last week (which was the 3rd or 4th week in a row this has come up): [12:39
- [12:34] Bridie Linden: let's do it for realz this time
- [12:35] Nya Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-8028
- [12:35] Bambers Linden: am I missing the further discussion that was requested in VWR-7362??
- [12:35] Nya Linden: are we asking NOW?
- [12:35] Gellan Glenelg: rob asked, a few weeks ago , for more votes/ justification
- [12:36] Nya Linden: I was just making a note to ask Babbage later.
- [12:36] Bambers Linden: (oops - I didnt mean to use more than 1 ?...
- [12:36] Bambers Linden: ok
- [12:36] Nya Linden: :) s'ok. I meant to use caps.
- [12:37] Bambers Linden: lol
- [12:37] Nya Linden: on vwr-8028 I think we need more info?
- [12:37] Gellan Glenelg: I think it's clear - it should apply to all OSs
- [12:38] Gellan Glenelg: but I wonder if it's a feature request rather than a bug
- [12:38] Bambers Linden: it's a bug
- [12:38] Bambers Linden: if you alt arrow in communicate window it works
- [12:39] Bambers Linden: it presumably should be consistent in Inventory, unless Alt arrow already does something else?
- [12:39] Gellan Glenelg: nods
- [12:39] Nya Linden: not seeing alt-arrow do anything else on mac.
- [12:39] Gellan Glenelg: nor on XP
- [12:39] Nya Linden: give to Rx?
- [12:39] Bambers Linden: it expands the folders on Windows if you're focused in the folder field
- [12:39] Harleen Gretzky: Until you get to Contacts, then it just switches between Friends and Groups
- [12:39] Aric Linden: alt arrow does tab select for me in the chat window
- [12:40] Bambers Linden: does shift-alt arrow bring you back?
- [12:40] Nya Linden: bambers - so does regular arrow.
- [12:40] Bambers Linden: nya - good point
- [12:40] Yuu Nakamichi: yeah it gets 'stuck'there harleen
- [12:40] Bambers Linden: OK - the functionality is there in Inventory, but it's a little diff
- [12:41] Nya Linden: ?
- [12:41] Bambers Linden: Tab to the All Items tab THEN hit arrow on it's own
- [12:41] Harleen Gretzky: You have to click on All Items first, since the focus is on search
- [12:41] Gellan Glenelg: or alt-arrow
- [12:41] Yuu Nakamichi: aric, no
- [12:41] Aric Linden: bambers, no
- [12:41] Aric Linden: it doesn
- [12:41] Nya Linden: yeah. not the same.
- [12:41] Aric Linden: t
- [12:41] Nya Linden: alt-arrow hot key is different than just tab-arrow
- [12:42] Bambers Linden: so, bok
- [12:42] Bambers Linden: ??
- [12:42] Bambers Linden: so, ok
- [12:42] Gellan Glenelg: so, it's definitely inconsistent
- [12:42] Bridie Linden: bok bok bok
- [12:42] Nya Linden: yep. I vote we take it in and do some general review of hot keys behavior.
- [12:43] Aric Linden: agreed
- [12:43] Nya Linden: goes to Rx?
- [12:43] Bambers Linden: yes it it - I made the same error as the reporter, apparently, saying "tab" and thinking TAB Key
- [12:43] Harleen Gretzky: Then once you are on All Items or Recent Items it seems to try to open folders
- [12:44] Bambers Linden: (it is inconsistent)
- [12:44] Gellan Glenelg: indeed it is
- [12:45] Nya Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-8013
- [12:45] Aric Linden: I'm not convinced this is fixable
- [12:45] Aric Linden: at least not in the current architecture
- [12:46] Aric Linden: worth grabbing for an internal triage chat
- [12:46] Nya Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-2496
- [12:48] Gellan Glenelg: last week this came up: [12:59
- [12:48] Aric Linden: strife is correct
- [12:49] Harleen Gretzky: Seems to be teh error is wrong still though also
- [12:49] Bambers Linden: does that mean it's actually a documentation error?
- [12:49] Aric Linden: so the error message is badly worded
- [12:49] Bambers Linden: sounds like we all think that then :~)
- [12:49] Aric Linden: it's an error message error
- [12:49] Harleen Gretzky: From Felix' comment above Strife's
- [12:50] Nya Linden: take in, give to Rx to fix error message?
- [12:51] Aric Linden: yeah, but it's a lo-pri
- [12:51] Yuu Nakamichi: eschews egregious erring error epistles
- [12:51] Bambers Linden: :)
- [12:51] Nya Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-7743
- [12:51] Nya Linden: giggles.
- [12:52] Aric Linden: applauds
- [12:53] Bambers Linden: applauds avid alliteration aloud
- [12:53] Gellan Glenelg: I think this needs a ( ? ) button next to it, not just a change of text
- [12:53] Aric Linden: thinks this trend transcends terrific
- [12:53] Yuu Nakamichi: ;p
- [12:54] Aric Linden: take in for rx?
- [12:54] Nya Linden: it definitely needs something. Sure.
- [12:55] Bambers Linden: suggests subsequent silliness surrounds solliliquys instead
- [12:55] Nya Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-7592
- [12:55] Bambers Linden: aaah - my favourite subject
- [12:56] Squirrel Wood: wants a tree navigator :p
- [12:56] Bambers Linden: repro'd
- [12:57] Bambers Linden: my avatar is on the ground, my camera POV is directly above (~75m?)
- [12:58] Bambers Linden: opening edit with create has the same effect, too
- [12:58] Yuu Nakamichi: yes
- [12:58] Yuu Nakamichi: same here
- [12:58] Aric Linden: Hate to do this, but I need to run off
- [12:59] Bambers Linden: see you later chief :~)
- [12:59] Bridie Linden: thx all!
- [12:59] Aric Linden: thanks all
- [12:59] Gellan Glenelg: giggles "good going gang!. Gotta Go!"
- [12:59] Nya Linden: yep. I've got to go as well. Take that last one in for triage?
- [12:59] Aric Linden: it was a very productive meeting
- [12:59] Harleen Gretzky: bye Aric
- [12:59] Bambers Linden: goodbye all - thanks!
- [12:59] Squirrel Wood: Keep up the good work!
- [12:59] Aric Linden: passes gellan five gold sarts
- [12:59] Yuu Nakamichi: you have to move the camera first tho
- [12:59] Aric Linden: by harleen
- [12:59] Yuu Nakamichi: before closing the edit window
- [12:59] Harleen Gretzky: ttfn
- [13:00] Bambers Linden: checks Yuu's point...
- [13:00] Bambers Linden: you have to touch the joystick *ever*?
- [13:00] Bambers Linden: i.e. I repro'd without touching the joystick *again*
- [13:01] Yuu Nakamichi: ah now I do
- [13:01] Yuu Nakamichi: as well
- [13:01] Yuu Nakamichi: it's off and on
- [13:01] Bambers Linden: so does that mean it's dependent on the camera being moved for the first repro?
- [13:01] Yuu Nakamichi: and the offset is diff each time
- [13:01] Bambers Linden: (pro..?)
