- [15:04] Bridie Linden: More crashes early on in the series is expected...
- [15:04] Squirrel Wood: last crash I had today with rc0 was when I hit enter after typing some text. bad.
- [15:04] Bridie Linden: As we've turned back on the watch dog code to collect more info
- [15:04] Tegg Bode: Lol and I'm using the 1.20 and still crashing anyway, it's network /servers related probably maybe some mono thrown in :)

- [15:06] Bridie Linden: I haven't noticed on my mac

- [15:07] Nya Linden: sounds good to me. import and assign to QA?
- [15:09] Bridie Linden: Nya, let's figure out where VWR-8172 is in the pipeline
- [15:09] Bridie Linden: maybe it is a dupe?
- [15:09] Bridie Linden: link them, if they're not already
- [15:09] Bridie Linden: is linking them now
- [15:10] Nya Linden: thanks. 8172 has passed QA, so maybe wait to import 8764 to see if it was fixed?
- [15:10] Bridie Linden: Sure
- [15:11] Bridie Linden: If they are the same...
- [15:11] Bridie Linden: Next up

- [15:13] Nya Linden: huh.. where is this griefer? I don't see anything...
- [15:13] Garn Conover: i keep seing particles

- [15:17] Bridie Linden: Moving right along...
- [15:17] Bridie Linden: VWR-2554[c
- [15:17] Bridie Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-2554
- [15:17] Bambers Linden: aw, thanks cummere but it's OK

- [15:18] Cummere Mayo: oh wait this is now rerated mature I can say damn now
- [15:18] Bambers Linden: darn straight
- [15:18] Bridie Linden: I haven't seen this one...
- [15:18] Joeseph Albanese: I had a few times where it remembers the pass with the box unticked
- [15:18] Cummere Mayo: my box is always checked and since 1.19 at least half the time it wont remember it at all
- [15:18] Garn Conover: is this for logins?
- [15:19] Bridie Linden: Hmmm, no solid repro though?
- [15:19] Nya Linden: there's another one where it doesn't leave the box checked..
- [15:19] Squirrel Wood: when logins fail for whatever reason... password field cleared
- [15:19] Joeseph Albanese: Not for me...its just random
- [15:19] Garn Conover: yea same here Squirrel
- [15:19] Bambers Linden: I have one where RC overwrites Rls
- [15:19] norritt Xi: Yeah I think Squirrel is right
- [15:19] Squirrel Wood: despite remember being checked
- [15:19] Nya Linden: import for QA repro?
- [15:19] Bridie Linden: Could someone add that info as a comment?
- [15:20] norritt Xi: If the logins fail because the servers are closed or you're still logged in as ghost after a crash the field is cleared
- [15:20] Bridie Linden: nods to Nya
- [15:20] Nya Linden: I'll add the comment and import.
- [15:20] Bridie Linden: Ty!
- [15:20] Bambers Linden: yey!
- [15:20] Bridie Linden: Next up from Gellan
- [15:20] Bridie Linden: # VWR-8740[c
- [15:20] norritt Xi: Because the client doesn't realize a difference between Loginfailure due to wrong password or due to other reasons
- [15:20] Cummere Mayo: yay i cant give you a solid repo it jsut clears it sometimes after a failed login, sometimes for no seeming reason and YAY finally
- [15:20] Bridie Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-8740
- [15:21] Cummere Mayo: can repo it...
- [15:21] Cummere Mayo: likes the new mature rating for this meeting palce. wotn have to spend so much time trying to find a pg outfit from now on lol
- [15:22] Joeseph Albanese: There is a noticable pause when the dialog opens the selection box....maybe the timer is getting it?
- [15:22] Bridie Linden: was looking @ VWR-8906 as well
- [15:23] Bridie Linden: and VWR-8852
- [15:23] Selena Beale: Has happened to me before, last night I was making one of my swords and making color changes which crashed me.. *shrugs*
- [15:23] Bridie Linden: Well, let's link those up and import, pls
- [15:23] Cummere Mayo: theres antoher related one too
- [15:23] Bridie Linden: Another click n' crash:
- [15:23] Bridie Linden: # VWR-8742[c
- [15:23] Bridie Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-8742
- [15:24] Cummere Mayo: soemehwere theres one i think already imported if you try and open a second inventory window it crashes
- [15:24] norritt Xi: Yeah I had that too with the previous Public Nightly too
- [15:24] norritt Xi: But I haven't found a solid repro just happens to me sometimes
- [15:24] Bridie Linden: I'd vote for importing and having QA try to repro these...Nya? Bambers?
- [15:24] Nya Linden: we have repro'd having huge inventory and opening a notecard causes a crash.
- [15:24] Bridie Linden: nods
- [15:25] norritt Xi: This is really hard to repro and to me it only occurred after a longer time online.
- [15:25] Cummere Mayo: my invotroy inst that huge im still under 13k items
- [15:25] Bridie Linden: hmms
- [15:25] Garn Conover: Cummere i have u beat
- [15:25] norritt Xi: So just fireing the viewer up and clicking some URLS prolly won't repro
- [15:25] Selena Beale: Umm.. mine is big..
- [15:25] Bridie Linden: Thx norritt
- [15:25] Bridie Linden: Well, perhaps we should mark this one with a 'last triaged' date and see if we can collect more info
- [15:25] Nya Linden: which one are we wanting to import....? URLs or color picker? (got lost)
- [15:26] Bridie Linden: color picker for sure
- [15:26] norritt Xi: NP unfortunately I can't haelp too much with the repros ATM since the current Public Nightly crashes the same moment I press the login button _every_time
- [15:26] Bridie Linden: let's wait on url one
- [15:26] Cummere Mayo: i think all of those. it seems to me a related click and crash
- [15:26] Bridie Linden: Ok, next up:
- [15:26] Bridie Linden: VWR-8722[c
- [15:26] Bridie Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-8722
- [15:26] norritt Xi: Thats one for the Mac Users here
- [15:27] Nya Linden: there's another kernel panic bug somewhere..
- [15:27] Selena Beale: Kernal Panic.. sounds like a rap group or something..
- [15:27] Bridie Linden: Interesting...
- [15:27] Joeseph Albanese: rofl
- [15:27] Bridie Linden: Great AV name too
- [15:27] Selena Beale: I know what it is.. but it does right?
- [15:27] norritt Xi: I only have windoze here which has a braver kernel, never seen it panic only getting grumpy and throwing exceptions ;)
- [15:28] Cummere Mayo: lol
- [15:28] Bridie Linden: let's mark 8722 with a 'last triaged' date and maybe ping Stephany about it
- [15:28] Bridie Linden: lol norritt
- [15:28] Selena Beale: Good idea *noddles*
- [15:28] Bambers Linden: heh
- [15:28] Object: Glod: Sarts for all!
- [15:28] Object: No: more Glod Sarts for you!
- [15:28] Bridie Linden: NExt up
- [15:28] Bridie Linden: VWR-8869[c
- [15:28] Object: Glod: Sarts for all!
- [15:29] Bridie Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-8869
- [15:29] Bridie Linden: loves the Particle Laboratory
- [15:29] Squirrel Wood: memory leak... definitely present
- [15:29] Squirrel Wood: with rc0
- [15:29] Cummere Mayo: votes this one import and send to qa with a note if they cant find, i'll come visit.... with a big stick
- [15:29] Garn Conover: lol
- [15:29] norritt Xi: I wouldn't sign the 40% mark but I definitly can say there is a memory leak and it causes an exception after longer online times.
- [15:30] Selena Beale: I'll lend you my mallet Cummere
- [15:30] Squirrel Wood: sl using half of my 4GB swapfile...
- [15:30] Squirrel Wood: apparently it eats up memory when minimized...
- [15:30] Bridie Linden: Steve + company are working on it, and I think fixed @ least one more source of leakage
- [15:30] Bridie Linden: Let's ask for more info after next RC is available
- [15:30] Ellla McMahon: hmm the minimise bug is fixed, I think
- [15:31] Cummere Mayo: an sl memory leak destroyed a gig mem stick in my comp. im down to one gig and 3 gig virtual. and i shouldnt need a 3 gig virtual mem file to run sl
- [15:31] Bridie Linden: yikes
- [15:31] Bridie Linden: Next up
- [15:31] Bridie Linden: VWR-8920[c
- [15:31] Bridie Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-8920
- [15:31] Cummere Mayo: again can repo
- [15:31] Selena Beale: Well. I'm down to 64% mem and my CPU is about 99% now..
- [15:32] Cummere Mayo: im at 10% mem and 30% vmem left. and siting on 92 and 91% of my cpus
- [15:32] Squirrel Wood: sl here... 1GB in ram, 1.5GB in swapfile
- [15:32] Selena Beale: Hmm.. that has happened but I can't exactly get it that high..
- [15:32] Cummere Mayo: and i vote import the photo issue
- [15:32] Bridie Linden: Joespeh do camera constraints or draw distance matter?
- [15:32] Joeseph Albanese: No
- [15:33] Bridie Linden: I'm not noticing on my mac, can others repro?
- [15:33] Object: No: more Glod Sarts for you!
- [15:33] Garn Conover: knows the reporter
- [15:33] Garn Conover: the bug i see is the known one w/ ppl floating above chairs lol
- [15:33] Cummere Mayo: already said i can. and i think its mostly a windows and linux issue
- [15:34] Bridie Linden: leans toward importing and having QA try to repro as well
- [15:34] Bridie Linden: Thx Cummere
- [15:34] Bridie Linden: Ok! Moving on to RC0 issues
- [15:34] Cummere Mayo: sriously, as buggy as 1.21 is im about to say qa should void it and start over
- [15:34] Bridie Linden: VWR-8857[c
- [15:35] Bridie Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-8857
- [15:35] Cummere Mayo: thats a dupe already imported
- [15:35] Cummere Mayo: *of a
- [15:35] Cummere Mayo: *an
- [15:35] Bridie Linden: It is?
- [15:35] Cummere Mayo: its the same thing as the poseballs out of alighnment
- [15:36] Bridie Linden: do you have issue id handy?
- [15:36] Cummere Mayo: im trying to find it.
- [15:36] Bridie Linden: Seems like a server issue
- [15:36] Ellla McMahon: is it VWR-8735 ?
- [15:37] Ellla McMahon: Norritt you reported this on VWR-8735
- [15:37] Bridie Linden: Seems different
- [15:37] Cummere Mayo: yes ellla thank you
- [15:38] Cummere Mayo: *Srhugs* if its not the same then its defiantely related
- [15:38] Bridie Linden: And that one has a fix coming soon
- [15:39] Bambers Linden: yup
- [15:39] norritt Xi: ILemme see
- [15:39] Bridie Linden: I'll ask internally about this one...
- [15:39] Nya Linden: last triaged and move on?
- [15:39] Bridie Linden: Yes please
- [15:39] Garn Conover: next one might be a skipper
- [15:39] norritt Xi: Yeah I commented on that and added the pose stand picture
- [15:40] Bridie Linden: Next up
- [15:40] norritt Xi: It only happens in the 1.21 branch
- [15:40] Bridie Linden: VWR-8672[c
- [15:40] norritt Xi: 1.20 is not affected
- [15:40] Bridie Linden: interesting
- [15:40] Cummere Mayo: i think its jsut cause 1.21 doesnt seem to read positiosn fo anything correctly
- [15:40] norritt Xi: Bridie that belongs still to 8735, what I just said
- [15:40] Bridie Linden: gotcha, may well be a dupe then
- [15:41] Garn Conover: Bridie 9672 is assigned already and not really an issue more a request feature?
- [15:41] Garn Conover: 8672*
- [15:42] norritt Xi: The beacons seem to be a general problem at the moment
- [15:42] Garn Conover: well they removed the shortcut becasue ppl were hitting it by mistake
- [15:42] Bridie Linden: is reading
- [15:42] Bridie Linden: Ramzi Linden - 29/Aug/08 01:55 PM
- Thanks for this feedback. As you noticed, this was an intentionally removed shortcut, per the release notes. We are happy to gather thoughts about how it may affect Residents in unforseen ways. Let's continue to leave this issue open for feeback and votes.
- [15:42] Cummere Mayo: next one started out fix pending but i think should be moved to feature request
- [15:42] norritt Xi: Recently I tried to highlight a sound source the same way it is proposed in the AR video tut and nothing was showing up.
- [15:42] Garn Conover: personally i see no purpose for that option... if u want a beacon u turn on which one u want.. a master control to them just seems liek an extra step
- [15:42] norritt Xi: Had to find it manually
- [15:43] Bridie Linden: Let's move to feature request (8672)
- [15:43] Cummere Mayo: 8825 should be changed to featrue request at this point
- [15:43] norritt Xi: There was another bug that reported the estate manager tools not showing the beacons as well
- [15:43] norritt Xi: Don't remember the nuber though
- [15:44] Joeseph Albanese: thats mine
- [15:44] Joeseph Albanese: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-8605
- [15:44] Bridie Linden: looks
- [15:45] norritt Xi: Yeah, so maybe there is a problem with beacons in general not only with the shortcut
- [15:45] Bridie Linden: Yup, imported and assigned
- [15:45] Joeseph Albanese: and locations in the same menu
- [15:45] Bridie Linden: Joeseph, want to link issues up?
- [15:45] Joeseph Albanese: I can yes
- [15:45] Bridie Linden: Ty
- [15:46] Bridie Linden: Ok, so back to VWR-8825
- [15:46] norritt Xi: Prolly the shortcut still works but the beacon isn't rendered, could be that the Ctrl+NN thing solves with the beacons being repaired... maybe we should mark it as relates to 8605?
- [15:46] Cummere Mayo: yeah the acutal issue is fix pending (unreleased to rc yet) but the adidtioanl comments made it now a feature request for controllable spacing
- [15:46] Harleen Gretzky: McCabe Maxsted - 29/Aug/08 12:26 PM This change was reverted in an as-of-yet unreleased branch.
- [15:47] Bridie Linden: Sounds good norritt
- [15:47] Bridie Linden: I see that Harleen, ty
- [15:47] Garn Conover: 3 more to one of mine hehe
- [15:48] Bridie Linden: wonders which branch he's referring
- [15:48] Bridie Linden: to
- [15:48] Cummere Mayo: fixed on the nightly
- [15:48] norritt Xi: I have noticed 8825 too but I think this was a desired change, anyhow there might be a possibility to include an option to customize that. So people can choose between seperated lines and the old background box
- [15:48] Bridie Linden: needs more coffee :)
- [15:48] Bridie Linden: Let's mark as 'fixed pending' and ask them to check out next RC
- [15:49] norritt Xi: I saw the seperated chat lines on 1.21 PN
- [15:49] Cummere Mayo: bridie ild still move it to feature request since they are all asking for custum spacing ability
- [15:49] Bambers Linden: gave you Espresso Demi Tasse.
- [15:49] Espresso Demi: Tasse whispers: Now THAT will open your eyes!
- [15:49] Bridie Linden: Thx Bambers
- [15:49] Garn Conover: tell em to make a new jira for request?
- [15:49] Bambers Linden: any time brindle
- [15:49] Bridie Linden: :)
- [15:50] Bridie Linden: Ok, next up
- [15:50] Bridie Linden: VWR-8824[c
- [15:50] Bridie Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-8824
- [15:50] Bridie Linden: already imported I see...
- [15:50] Cummere Mayo: i suppse we could garn but seems like a waste of time and space when we could jsut move it
- [15:50] Nya Linden: cummere - I'd prefer that they file a separate feature request if they really want customized spacing.. that way it's not mixed up in the process of figuring out if the bug was fixed.. I will comment on there.
- [15:50] Bridie Linden: Next,
- [15:51] Bridie Linden: VWR-8860[c
- [15:51] Bridie Linden: Thx Nya
- [15:51] Bridie Linden: and for feedback, Cummere
- [15:51] Bridie Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-8860
- [15:51] Cummere Mayo: and our partical spammer is back
- [15:52] norritt Xi: Yeah memory leak is definitly there of course we already had super massive ones in the past but thats no excuse to keep them.
- [15:52] Bridie Linden: still doesn't see any particles
- [15:53] Bridie Linden: Let's see if RC1 is any better for reporter of 8860
- [15:53] Garn Conover: rc1 comming tonight or tomororw?
- [15:53] Bridie Linden: Looking like tomorrow, Garn
- [15:53] Cummere Mayo: gah bridie you really dont see this?
- [15:53] Garn Conover: k
- [15:53] Bridie Linden: And now for Garn's issue, queue the music
- [15:53] Bridie Linden: I don't cummere
- [15:53] Garn Conover: u se the particles now Bridie?
- [15:54] Cummere Mayo: their being spammed all over help island
- [15:55] Bambers Linden: should I see particles too?
- [15:55] Bambers Linden: Or are we playing with bridie's head?
- [15:55] Bridie Linden: frowns
- [15:55] Bridie Linden: VWR-8894[c
- [15:55] Nya Linden: are they non-linden particles? I don't see them..
- [15:55] Bridie Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-8894
- [15:55] Garn Conover: they are Jello-onwed
