- [15:04] Techwolf Lupindo: I have not experence any skulpies failures.
- [15:04] Alexa Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-11708
- [15:05] Alexa Linden: cannot create objects here. The owner of this land does not allow it. Use the land tool to see land ownership.
- [15:05] Bambers Linden: Techwolf - maybe it'd be worth adding your environment as a comment to the sculptie bug, see if there's a diff
- [15:05] Moon Metty: oh, i've seen a white persistant highlight
- [15:05] Entering god: mode, level 150
- [15:05] Techwolf Lupindo: Ok.
- [15:05] Moon Metty: i tried it before the meeting, but couldn't see it again
- [15:05] Gellan Glenelg: this repro'd on 1.22.6. I haven't tried on 1.22.7/8
- [15:06] Moon Metty: so it could be 1.26?
- [15:06] Alexa Linden: stays highlighted
- [15:06] Alexa Linden: even after leaving edit mode?
- [15:07] Moon Metty: no, i think it went away after leaving edit mode
- [15:07] Bambers Linden: hmmm, I didn't see that
- [15:07] Gellan Glenelg: ["http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/MISC-2301#]
- [15:07] Gellan Glenelg: oops
- [15:07] Alexa Linden: I've closed the texture picker, but the white highlighting persists, and can only be removed by closing the edit window
- [15:07] Cummere Mayo: hsould disapear as soon as its deselected..
- [15:07] Gellan Glenelg: "white highlighting persists, and can only be removed by closing the edit window.
- [15:07] Alexa Linden: I can repro
- [15:08] Moon Metty: what client Alexa?
- [15:08] Alexa Linden: 1.22.7 for me
- [15:08] Bambers Linden: RC8 the chair I picked from goes white-outlined for .5 second then deselects
- [15:08] Alexa Linden: hmmmm
- [15:09] Bambers Linden: before closing texture window
- [15:09] Alexa Linden: fireplace was my eyedropper target
- [15:09] Bambers Linden: lemme try there
- [15:09] Alexa Linden: no matter what I now click on
- [15:09] Alexa Linden: fireplace is still white and highlighted
- [15:09] Moon Metty: i'm on Second Life 1.22.8 (109348) Jan 30 2009 19:41:49 (Second Life Public Nightly) it didn't repro
- [15:10] Alexa Linden: until I exit out
- [15:10] Bambers Linden: I'm on a slightly later build than Moon
- [15:10] Dessie Linden: heya everyone!
- [15:10] Garn Conover: hewwo Dessie!
- [15:10] Bambers Linden: Dessie! :)
- [15:10] Morgaine Dinova: Hiya Dessie :-)
- [15:10] Cummere Mayo: well i cant build here so i cant ry the repo on this version..
- [15:10] Ellla McMahon: hello Dessie :)
- [15:11] Moon Metty: hi Dessie
- [15:11] Bambers Linden: what do we think then? It seems to be no repro in RC8 (which comes out soon.)
- [15:11] Cummere Mayo: vote triage it, put it on next weeks agenda
- [15:11] Bambers Linden: ask the reporter if it repros in the new RC8, and import if yes?
- [15:11] Cummere Mayo: if it still doesnt repo tag it fixed.
- [15:11] Alexa Linden: do we have a target date?
- [15:11] Dessie Linden: what pjira are we talking about?
- [15:11] Alexa Linden: and I can add triaged date to this
- [15:11] Gellan Glenelg: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-11708
- [15:11] Dessie Linden: target for RC8?
- [15:12] Dessie Linden: thx
- [15:12] Alexa Linden: will do
- [15:12] Bambers Linden: ok alexa
- [15:12] Alexa Linden: next is https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-11806
- [15:12] Gellan Glenelg: RC8 isn't out yet
- [15:12] Gellan Glenelg: PN is 1.22.8
- [15:12] Bambers Linden: PN, RC....
- [15:13] Bambers Linden: :~|
- [15:13] Gellan Glenelg: my main point being that OP won't have access to 1.22.8
- [15:13] Alexa Linden: good point and ty
- [15:13] Alexa Linden: import for us to text with it?
- [15:13] Alexa Linden: test*
- [15:13] Cummere Mayo: sure
- [15:13] Bambers Linden: ok
- [15:13] Alexa Linden: done
- [15:13] Alexa Linden: on to https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-11806
- [15:14] Cummere Mayo: cant test i dont have a mac
- [15:14] Zen Linden: a lot of peeps in the lab have this machine. I hadn't seen any frame rate drops recently
- [15:15] Dessie Linden: as do I, and I can't repro it
- [15:15] Bambers Linden: likewise here
- [15:15] Bambers Linden: but of course I work in the same place as you...
- [15:15] Garn Conover: heh
- [15:15] Dessie Linden: :o) wise-guy
- [15:15] Alexa Linden: can't repro?
- [15:15] Garn Conover: spitball range?
- [15:15] Morgaine Dinova: lol
- [15:15] Alexa Linden: lol
- [15:16] Techwolf Lupindo: smiles
- [15:16] Cummere Mayo: have them check their network settings and send em to support
- [15:17] Bambers Linden: Yeah, could be spotty wireless
- [15:17] Alexa Linden: this next one has a comment from ramzi - https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-10749
- [15:17] Zen Linden: Or overheating of some form
- [15:17] Cummere Mayo: wireless, could be misconfigured modem
- [15:17] Alexa Linden: ya, bambers my thought too
- [15:17] Cummere Mayo: could be the weather if they have a cable or dsl
- [15:17] Morgaine Dinova: Or the RDF wore off.
- [15:18] Alexa Linden: Linden Lab does list a screen resolution of 1024x768 as a minimum for using Second Life successfully-- for that reason I have to lower the priority at which we will be able to investigate this bug:
- [15:18] Alexa Linden: so with that in mind
- [15:18] Bambers Linden: we do allow the option of 800 x 600
- [15:18] Alexa Linden: would this be expected behavior?
- [15:18] Cummere Mayo: with that in mind... its still not expected
- [15:18] Bambers Linden: and I'm beachballing...
- [15:19] Cummere Mayo: im gonna try and repo this right now
- [15:19] Zen Linden: just set my window to 800x600 on my mac
- [15:19] Zen Linden: logged in fine
- [15:19] Gellan Glenelg: is this talking about screen size? or window size?
- [15:19] Bambers Linden: I think there's something amiss here. I'm hanging while resizing to 800x600
- [15:19] Alexa Linden: screen resolution
- [15:21] Gellan Glenelg: so, you can use an 800x600 window on a 1024x768 resolution screen, but not on an 800x600 resolution screen? that seems strange
- [15:21] Cummere Mayo: ok im able to log in on that rez but allot of the ui is not responding right
- [15:21] Bambers Linden: hmmm
- [15:22] Bambers Linden: import for further investigation?
- [15:22] Alexa Linden: qa?
- [15:22] Zen Linden: very very low priority
- [15:22] Zen Linden: if you do
- [15:22] Alexa Linden: k
- [15:22] Cummere Mayo: thats my vote and im commenting
- [15:22] Techwolf Lupindo: I know one friend that still uses that resoluction because can't afford to upgrade.
- [15:22] Bambers Linden: yeah, I think there's more argument for removing 800x600 option
- [15:22] Zen Linden: yeah
- [15:22] Alexa Linden: k
- [15:22] Alexa Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-11047
- [15:22] Cummere Mayo: and i jsut had to reset my res back for thins to owrk. i think its a confusion of the ui not detecting what youre pressing right
- [15:23] Cummere Mayo: if you remove that resolution youll lose a goodly percentage of users bambers
- [15:23] Morgaine Dinova: Netbooks are starting to get graphics chips able to cope with SL, but their resolution is often low for portability. So it is an issue.
- [15:24] Zen Linden: good point...
- [15:24] Gellan Glenelg: this is probably because they expected 1.21 (release) settings to carry over to RC. They're stored in separate files, so: expected behaviour?
- [15:24] Alexa Linden: a lot of personal settings get wipes with updating to a newer RC
- [15:24] Techwolf Lupindo: Small notebooks don't have high resoluctions so text is still readable.
- [15:24] Bambers Linden: yeah cummere / morgaine
- [15:24] Alexa Linden: ya though there have been FR asking for info to get carried over
- [15:24] Zen Linden: yep, alexa, we have some internal jiras for it. But I don't think it's high on our priority list
- [15:24] Alexa Linden: right
- [15:24] Zen Linden: it will require some refactoring of the feature table
- [15:24] Bambers Linden: yup
- [15:25] Alexa Linden: cna I get an internal to tie this to?
- [15:25] Alexa Linden: can*
- [15:25] Zen Linden: there probably should be an external dupe for it...
- [15:25] Gellan Glenelg: looking for that now
- [15:25] Alexa Linden: k - I'll look afterward
- [15:25] Bambers Linden: k
- [15:25] Alexa Linden: or wait for Gellan to find
- [15:25] Alexa Linden: lol
- [15:25] Moon Metty: hehe
- [15:25] Alexa Linden: in the mean time
- [15:25] Alexa Linden: we have https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-11254
- [15:26] Garn Conover: already commeted hehe
- [15:26] Moon Metty: yes, i agree
- [15:26] Alexa Linden: as did garn :)
- [15:26] Moon Metty: it works logically
- [15:26] Alexa Linden: expected behavior?
- [15:26] Garn Conover: makes perfect sense to me
- [15:27] Garn Conover: nods
- [15:27] Cummere Mayo: i think its expected
- [15:27] Alexa Linden: ok done
- [15:27] Cummere Mayo: soemtimes it makes it a pain in the ass but yeah
- [15:27] Bambers Linden: you mean set it to one and it lists 0?
- [15:27] Garn Conover: as Gellan says, it would prbly break it all
- [15:27] Alexa Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-11386
- [15:27] Bambers Linden: heh
- [15:29] Bambers Linden: any thoughts for this one?
- [15:29] Alexa Linden: it's all geek to me :\
- [15:29] Garn Conover: love the comment Cummere
- [15:29] Cummere Mayo: lol
- [15:29] Techwolf Lupindo: Only that I get crashes that hang on crashlogger, no crashlogger, or crashlogger ask to send.
- [15:30] Cummere Mayo: glad i could amuse garn :)
- [15:30] Moon Metty: "This is very random but consistent" o_O
- [15:30] Alexa Linden: lol
- [15:30] Alexa Linden: jumbo shrimp
- [15:30] Alexa Linden: :P
- [15:31] Moon Metty: lol
- [15:31] Dessie Linden: lol
- [15:31] Bambers Linden: well, I know most of these issues are low votes, but with consistently random failure and 1 vote...
- [15:31] Morgaine Dinova: Actually .... I'm getting that right now!
- [15:31] Zen Linden: hehe. yeah, that stack trace really isn't enough to go on
- [15:31] Morgaine Dinova: But not in any way that is relevent here .... it's in the Imprudence viewer ;-)))
- [15:31] Alexa Linden: what if anything can we ask for?
- [15:31] Ellla McMahon: is it a graphics driver issue ? I don;t know Linux
- [15:31] Bambers Linden: is there a meta task it can be linked to?
- [15:31] Techwolf Lupindo: I would like the crashlogger to be seperate from the secondlife bin. It interfeers with core dumps for gdb.
- [15:31] Moon Metty: bonsai sequoya?
- [15:32] Bambers Linden: lol Moon
- [15:32] Alexa Linden: :P
- [15:32] Cummere Mayo: ok i think what he means by random but consistant is that it doesnt happen all the time, but its a rather consistant log format to that crash
- [15:33] Alexa Linden: suggested action on this one?
- [15:33] Alexa Linden: or questions to ask?
- [15:33] Dessie Linden: do we want to wait until there's more to go on?
- [15:33] Alexa Linden: I can add the triaged date
- [15:33] Morgaine Dinova: Exactly what I'm seeing .... it happens on idling, randomly. But I can't really link Imprudence to this.
- [15:33] Cummere Mayo: vote import low priority to qa
- [15:33] Garn Conover: heh
- [15:33] Cummere Mayo: and i get it on the pn
- [15:33] Zen Linden: i don't think qa is going to repro it
- [15:33] Cummere Mayo: i dont even have imprutance
- [15:33] Alexa Linden: me neither
- [15:34] Garn Conover: does
- [15:34] Zen Linden: i think it's likely due to memory bloat from gl calls
- [15:34] Morgaine Dinova: Yeah, not relevant. But surprised me to see the symptom in Jira
- [15:34] Zen Linden: and is something
- [15:34] Zen Linden: will be dealing with in future quarters
- [15:34] Bambers Linden: Morgaine, do you have any logs from it?
- [15:34] Zen Linden: (this one included)
- [15:35] Cummere Mayo: i'll try and snag a log next time i get that crash
- [15:35] Morgaine Dinova: I think I may have logged it on Impru forum, looking
- [15:35] Bambers Linden: triage date, more info (logs, etc) and link it to a meta task for un-crash-reported crashes (if such a thing exists)
- [15:35] Bambers Linden: (linking optional I suppose)
- [15:35] Alexa Linden: will do
- [15:36] Morgaine Dinova: [1]
- [15:36] Alexa Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-11483
- [15:36] Morgaine Dinova: Third code box down has the stack log
- [15:36] Morgaine Dinova: But frankly, it's a bad precendent to in any way be looking at a third party viewer log
- [15:36] Cummere Mayo: thats why ill send mine next time. im not on a third party
- [15:37] Cummere Mayo: :-/
- [15:37] Morgaine Dinova: kk
- [15:37] Alexa Linden: on
- [15:37] Alexa Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-11483
- [15:38] Alexa Linden: I wonder if she trying resetting or recompiling scripts?
- [15:38] Bambers Linden: my thought too
- [15:38] Cummere Mayo: i think she did. i think thats what she was trying to say
- [15:39] Alexa Linden: it does not change the volume until be taken and rezzed again.
- [15:39] Alexa Linden: well that would reset it
- [15:39] Object: Hello,: Avatar!
- [15:39] Alexa Linden: by the action of taking and placing back out
- [15:39] Cummere Mayo: It does not really reset the script"
- [15:39] Dessie Linden: well she does say "level value on the script"
- [15:39] Gellan Glenelg: I'd ask for more details - including the script(s) being used (llSoundLoop doesn't exist - tho llLoopSound does)
- [15:39] Garn Conover: lol
- [15:40] Bambers Linden: yeah, an example for a repro would help
- [15:40] Cummere Mayo: im seeing if they are online
- [15:40] Alexa Linden: agreed
- [15:40] Gellan Glenelg: more importantly, and they using an llStopSound before "changing volume"?
- [15:41] Cummere Mayo: their on and i jsut pinged them
- [15:41] Cummere Mayo: *they're
- [15:41] Gellan Glenelg: are they re-calling llLoopSound? or using llAdjustSoundVolume?
- [15:41] Alexa Linden: ok please have them update the jira with the info
- [15:42] Alexa Linden: so we have it in writing
- [15:42] Alexa Linden: and tied to the issue
- [15:42] Bambers Linden: yeah
- [15:42] Alexa Linden: in the mean time, we can look at the last issue
- [15:42] Alexa Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-11491
- [15:43] Bambers Linden: interesting use case
- [15:43] Alexa Linden: I know I can't repro
- [15:43] Alexa Linden: but I'm not on a mac
- [15:43] Cummere Mayo: i can't consistantly repo
- [15:43] Cummere Mayo: but im also not on a mac
- [15:43] Moon Metty: could that be the baking of textures?
- [15:43] Bambers Linden: my mac appears to be dead in the water atm
- [15:43] Bambers Linden: :(
- [15:44] Dessie Linden: must not be a macbook pro... bwaaaahahahahaha!
- [15:44] Bambers Linden: lol
- [15:44] Bambers Linden: it's an iMac
- [15:44] Techwolf Lupindo: lol
- [15:44] Dessie Linden: oh, ahem... was that my "outside voice"?
- [15:44] Garn Conover: heh
- [15:44] Connecting to: in-world Voice Chat...
- [15:44] Connected undefined:
- [15:45] Dessie Linden: feels sorry for bambers' iMac
- [15:45] Bambers Linden: doesn't
- [15:45] Morgaine Dinova: Is FMOD eventually disappearing on all platforms, not just Linux?
- [15:45] Cummere Mayo: feels sorry for any mac right now... especially with the gcfmac virus thats out
- [15:45] Dessie Linden: :o)
- [15:46] Dessie Linden: :-0
- [15:46] Garn Conover: bug ppl :P
- [15:47] Bambers Linden: :)
- [15:47] Alexa Linden: so any comments or actions for this one?
- [15:47] Alexa Linden: lol
- [15:47] Cummere Mayo: ok well i havent goten any response from cocas but asked them to leave that info for us
- [15:47] Garn Conover: got quiet hehe
- [15:47] Bambers Linden: cool
- [15:47] Cummere Mayo: and as i said i am on pc and cannot consistantly repo that
- [15:48] Bambers Linden: we're messing with audio streams
- [15:48] Cummere Mayo: if you want i can comment i very very occasionally have it happen on pc
- [15:48] Bambers Linden: HAAAA!
- [15:48] Alexa Linden: I can put a different stream with a larger listener load on
- [15:48] Alexa Linden: one sec

- [15:49] Cummere Mayo: looks to bambers and alexa
- [15:49] Techwolf Lupindo: I get in that mode when I do QA testing bambers. :-)
- [15:49] Alexa Linden: so you can hear it now?
- [15:49] Bambers Linden: yes Alexa
- [15:50] Alexa Linden: now try changing your appearance?
- [15:50] Bambers Linden: :) I'm glad I'm not alone Techwolf :)
- [15:50] Gellan Glenelg: now build is enabled: can confirm that https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-11708 seems to be fixed on 1.22.8
- [15:50] Moon Metty: my sound didn't stutter one bit
- [15:50] Bambers Linden: I could not repro - experienced no stuttering or anything
- [15:50] Cummere Mayo: i only get it on pcin palces with a high lag and other sim issues
- [15:50] Alexa Linden: anyone on a mac?
- [15:50] Techwolf Lupindo: My system is too powerfull to repo that.
- [15:50] Garn Conover: tickles 'Lexa

- [15:52] Zen Linden: anyone on a ppc?
- [15:52] Bambers Linden: nope
- [15:52] Bambers Linden: Oh

- [15:52] Garn Conover: no but im on IMP like Morgaine
- [15:52] Saijanai Kuhn: mine died in the last 15 minutes of last year :-/
- [15:52] Cummere Mayo: see if that fixes it
- [15:52] Bambers Linden: a good time to go, Saijanai
- [15:52] Morgaine Dinova: lol
- [15:52] Dessie Linden: I have an older mac at home and can try it later

- [15:53] Garn Conover: dont poof on me 'Lexa :P
- [15:53] Dessie Linden: np, Alexa!
- [15:53] Alexa Linden: I can also mark Last Triaged and see if we get anyone else?
- [15:53] Alexa Linden: garn, your issue is being looked at
- [15:53] Alexa Linden: rob commented on it after the comments were posted
- [15:53] Bambers Linden: which OS is darwin 8?
- [15:53] Bambers Linden: Tiger?
- [15:53] Zen Linden: yup
- [15:53] Alexa Linden: and we're looking at it
- [15:53] Zen Linden: 10.4
- [15:53] Garn Conover: 'Lexa Rob didn't do anything
- [15:54] Garn Conover: he jsut said make sure it gets added to triage
- [15:54] Cummere Mayo: >.>
- [15:54] Alexa Linden: and it is imported and we are looking at it
- [15:54] Garn Conover: ok
- [15:54] Alexa Linden: I checked the action and comment dates
- [15:54] Garn Conover: :) cuz IMP has it fixed now because of Zi's comment so just wanted to make sure they were aware that was the fix
- [15:55] Alexa Linden: yup :)
- [15:55] Alexa Linden: so that's the last issue for today
