- [12:02] Alexa Linden: https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Bug_triage/2010-05-03
- [12:02] Aargle Zymurgy: bugs? no, those are features.
- [12:02] Soft Linden: This is why we beat them >:(
- [12:02] xstorm Radek: i can win more then 80% of the time
- [12:02] Alexa Linden: first up.... https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-5428
- [12:03] JIRA-helper: [#SVC-5428] High Packet loss, Rubberbanding, Script runtime stops, various other issues since 1.36.2 emergency release.
- [12:03] xstorm Radek: i think its do to this server ver if you ask me
- [12:03] Soft Linden: This can be closed. They reopened an issue with specific sims for other purposes
- [12:03] Soft Linden: The original issue was because the handful of "McRib" deploy sims were on a host with network issues.
- [12:03] Ellla McMahon: this is more about the Grid settling down after the Outage
- [12:03] Alexa Linden: Xstorm is your Mic open and causing the sound?
- [12:04] Alexa Linden: ok soft
- [12:04] xstorm Radek: he he he he
- [12:04] Fred Gandt: A humming Alexa?
- [12:04] xstorm Radek: not real
- [12:04] Alexa Linden: yes
- [12:04] Fred Gandt: me sry
- [12:04] Alexa Linden: thanks Fred :)
- [12:04] Fred Gandt: 'mute me
- [12:04] Alexa Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-19060
- [12:04] JIRA-helper: [#VWR-19060] When I purchase Linden Dollars, I have to close the viewer and restart it in order for the Lindens to appear in my account.
- [12:04] Alexa Linden: then I lose your chat
- [12:05] Fred Gandt: no loss there I think
- [12:05] Soft Linden: I thought Davy was going to link this to the internal issue last week.
- [12:05] xstorm Radek: there no dot lol
- [12:05] Alexa Linden: I did tooo I can check afterward...
- [12:05] Soft Linden: This is real, happens occasionally across all viewer versions, and only seems to have started a few weeks ago
- [12:05] Gramma Fiddlesticks: that happened to me with 1.23.5.
- [12:05] Soft Linden: May as well import, and if Davy can still find a dupe, then he can do the resolutions after?
- [12:06] Alexa Linden: ok
- [12:06] Kaluura Boa: It happened to me but the other way... I sold Lindens and it didn't show on my balance
- [12:06] Drew Dwi: the sim is having issues >.>
- [12:06] Alexa Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-16379
- [12:06] JIRA-helper: [#VWR-16379] After installing OS X 10.6.x Snow Leopard on the mac with nVidia 7600 GT, atmospheric shaders and local lights both on = black terrain and no full bright prims
- [12:06] Techwolf Lupindo: Ok. This sim is stuck at .10 to .20 Time Dilation.
- [12:07] Drew Dwi: Images Time has gone nuts
- [12:07] xstorm Radek: never seen that on the test server
- [12:07] Soft Linden: I'd import this - good, clear summary. A graphics dev might have an "a ha!" for that.
- [12:07] Alexa Linden: k
- [12:08] Alexa Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/MISC-3377
- [12:08] xstorm Radek: yes
- [12:08] JIRA-helper: [#MISC-3377] terrain in raw file is not the same
- [12:08] Soft Linden: Fred - if you land/sit, does the noise stop?
- [12:09] Soft Linden: I don't know if the downloaded version would necessarily match...
- [12:09] Fred Gandt: there is no off switch
- [12:10] xstorm Radek: never seen a real match
- [12:10] Alexa Linden: can you detach it?
- [12:10] Squirrel Wood: black terrain... its the nvidia 7000 series cards that do it
- [12:10] Soft Linden: Oh, they're downloading and uploading again without any edits?
- [12:11] Soft Linden: This would be pretty easy to test if that's the case
- [12:11] Squirrel Wood: I did comment on the terrain stuff
- [12:11] Squirrel Wood: perchance they forgot to bake the changes before exporting
- [12:11] Soft Linden: Huh. I thought the baked bit was in a separate layer.
- [12:12] Soft Linden: Well, layers since there's the weird multiplier and then the regular bit.
- [12:12] OMG!! Where are my legs!!??: Could not find sound .
- [12:12] xstorm Radek: image size is not the same too
- [12:12] Squirrel Wood: baking sets the terrain you can revert to after changing it
- [12:12] Soft Linden: Right.
- [12:12] Alexa Linden: yup
- [12:12] Alexa Linden: NMI then?
- [12:12] Squirrel Wood: so I assume that is what gets exported too
- [12:12] Soft Linden: But if they're downloading and uploading again without reverting, something would seem to be up.
- [12:12] Alexa Linden: wait for a response?
- [12:13] Squirrel Wood: they may download an old bake
- [12:13] Soft Linden: Honestly, I think I'd just punch the date on it and see if it gets more votes.
- [12:13] Alexa Linden: ok
- [12:13] Squirrel Wood: and may have made changes to the terrain but not baked it before exporting
- [12:13] Soft Linden: If we imported a one vote issue now that was this old, it would sit unresolved forever.
- [12:13] Alexa Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-3503
- [12:13] JIRA-helper: [#SVC-3503] offline IMs don't get shown always at next login
- [12:14] Soft Linden: This says sometimes they appear on the second login?
- [12:14] Alexa Linden: dup
- [12:14] Soft Linden: Has anyone else seen that?
- [12:14] Drew Dwi: Created: 22/Nov/08 05:20 PM
- [12:14] Alexa Linden: re-resolving as dup
- [12:14] Alexa Linden: ?
- [12:14] Tillie Ariantho: Yes, I have seen that.
- [12:14] Tillie Ariantho: Silver Key is my alt. :P
- [12:14] Drew Dwi: this happends randomly due to a ton of things I imagine, no good way to reproduce it that I know of
- [12:15] Aargle Zymurgy: I've seen it before as well, but since they already rolled to my e-mail, I never really worried about it.
- [12:15] Tillie Ariantho: Sometimes I dont get IMs and notices and stuff at a log in.
- [12:15] Gramma Fiddlesticks: I've seen it too as well as getting IM's sent to email as me being offline, when I am actually online!
- [12:15] xstorm Radek: what year was that bug ?
- [12:15] Tillie Ariantho: But on logout and another login I suddenly get swamped.
- [12:15] Drew Dwi: yea, if the simulator you login to is super lagged you won't get them among other things
- [12:15] Tillie Ariantho: ah
- [12:15] Roland RiddlerRoland Riddler nods, and uses wufoo for offline communication
- [12:15] Alexa Linden: this was marked dup but never resolved dup
- [12:15] Gramma Fiddlesticks: ahhh. So it's the sim?
- [12:16] Tillie Ariantho: Maybe just close it, it is quite old and I only saw it 2 or 3 times, and not recently.
- [12:16] xstorm Radek: did there IM's get cap ?
- [12:16] xstorm Radek: they need more info
- [12:16] Tillie Ariantho: If it ever happens again, I will reopen or create a new, maybe with more details.
- [12:16] Alexa Linden: yup
- [12:16] Alexa Linden: and this was is similar....https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-5251
- [12:16] JIRA-helper: [#SVC-5251] Offline messages not being sent to email
- [12:17] Gramma Fiddlesticks: dum,b question maybe, but do IM's sometiems cap when you are online?
- [12:17] Alexa Linden: I supposed they could..... soft?
- [12:17] xstorm Radek: i think if they come in to fast or to many at one time
- [12:17] Soft Linden: Yeah. I'd "can't repro," see if anyone spots it recently
- [12:17] Soft Linden: Or NMI - Still happening? Whatever that is!
- [12:17] Skills Hak: they don't cap when you are online but sometimes they are lost and you get them as offlines on your next login
- [12:17] Alexa Linden: ok
- [12:18] Gramma Fiddlesticks: ahhh, thanks Skills.
- [12:18] Tillie Ariantho: There really needs to be a split between notices, prim IMs and real IMs,I dont care about lost notices or prim IMs, but I want to get all user IMs. ^^
- [12:18] Alexa Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-5610
- [12:18] JIRA-helper: [#SVC-5610] llSetTorque(x,TRUE) will cause an active llSetForce(x,FALSE) call to become a llSetForce(y,TRUE) call.
- [12:18] xstorm Radek: i got hit with 100 error IM it game me a time out i think
- [12:18] Soft Linden: IM-to-email is helpful. Also never teleporting while talking :/
- [12:19] Aargle Zymurgy: hm... that's odd, Soft, I've never lost chat due to tp'ing
- [12:19] Soft Linden: I'd ask for repro scripts on this. This is pretty deep.
- [12:19] Alexa Linden: k
- [12:19] Soft Linden: Aargle - it's really, really easy to repro. Make an object that sits there IMing you sequential numbers and TP a few times.
- [12:19] Alexa Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-893
- [12:19] JIRA-helper: [#SVC-893] Right shift operator (>) fills extra bits with 1 instead of 0 when the most significant bit of the number is set.
- [12:20] Aargle Zymurgy: hm... ok... I'll give that a try, but I was all over SL yesterday and never had an issue
- [12:20] Soft Linden: You'll see them in email if you have im-to-email enabled. Same happens with conversations.
- [12:20] Drew Dwi: 27/Oct/07 05:08 PM
- [12:20] Soft Linden: Ah, this has been for years. Possibly as long as IM has existed.
- [12:20] Soft Linden: The problem is, your presence gets removed from one sim before it's established on another. So you've effectively logged out between regions in a teleport.
- [12:21] Soft Linden: This is expected behavior for a signed value
- [12:21] Aargle Zymurgy: isn't that "error" teh way it works?
- [12:21] Soft Linden: Yup.
- [12:21] xstorm Radek: Soft later may i show you one that needs looking at its starting to make more errors for me
- [12:21] Alexa Linden: Expected Behavior for 893?
- [12:21] Drew Dwi: yea
- [12:21] Alexa Linden: k
- [12:21] Aargle Zymurgy: until LSL supports unsigned values, I'd just expect that.
- [12:21] Soft Linden: xstorm - maybe bring it up at the end of the triage?
- [12:21] Alexa Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-10240
- [12:21] JIRA-helper: [#VWR-10240] Viewer crash while taking snapshot (with fanciful proportion)
- [12:21] xstorm Radek: ok thank you
- [12:21] Alexa Linden: older....
- [12:22] Alexa Linden: NMI still a problem?
- [12:22] Soft Linden: "fanciful proportion" :)
- [12:22] Drew Dwi: yea... how we getting all this 07, 08, 09 stuff lol
- [12:22] xstorm Radek: ?
- [12:22] Alexa Linden: 1.21 isn't supported
- [12:22] Drew Dwi: Created: 31/Oct/08 03:47 PM
- [12:22] Alexa Linden: because we're not doing VWR issues
- [12:22] Soft Linden: They're running out of RAM
- [12:22] Drew Dwi: ah
- [12:22] Alexa Linden: so we're cleaning out the closets!
- [12:22] Soft Linden: Still. This is ancient. I'd hope we at least handle it better now.
- [12:23] xstorm Radek: good
- [12:23] Soft Linden: Yeah, NMI ask if it still crashes or merely fails.
- [12:23] Techwolf Lupindo: About time these bug got looked at.
- [12:23] Drew Dwi: wouldn't it be better to pretty much mass nmi anything that is say older than 1.23?
- [12:23] Tillie Ariantho: Those crashes are just about size and/or memory I think. I tried some really big snapshots and the client crashed each time.
- [12:23] Alexa Linden: ok speeding along here... next one will be nmi too :p
- [12:23] Alexa Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-10429
- [12:23] JIRA-helper: [#VWR-10429] Snapshot to disk hang on new unibody MacBook Pro with Nvidia 9600M GT
- [12:23] Alexa Linden: jinx Drew
- [12:23] Drew Dwi: ^^
- [12:23] Soft Linden: This -has- to be a dupe
- [12:23] Tillie Ariantho: Client crashes too each time if its memory is at about 1,4GB and you hit snapshot. memory error, poof.
- [12:23] Drew Dwi: I'll see if it'll let me create a search
- [12:23] Soft Linden: Mac snapshot timeouts are forever.
- [12:23] Alexa Linden: ya, I'll hunt it down
- [12:24] Alexa Linden: next is https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-10486
- [12:24] JIRA-helper: [#VWR-10486] Worn vehicle attachments lose their rotation when viewed approaching from out of visual range or teleporting to vehicle.
- [12:24] Alexa Linden: 1.21
- [12:24] xstorm Radek: i still say we need a group to clean out dups
- [12:24] Object: Hello, Avatar!
- [12:24] Tillie Ariantho: I still vote for removing the snapshot window completely. I have found THAT many bugs that its better to rewrite it from scratch. O.o
- [12:24] Alexa Linden: you raising a hand ^^?
- [12:24] Alexa Linden: lol
- [12:25] Tillie Ariantho: I am now using FRAPS for photos cause of all the bugs in snapshots.
- [12:25] Alexa Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-11025
- [12:25] JIRA-helper: [#VWR-11025] Coalesced items lost after refused rezing (similar to VWR-7194)
- [12:25] Squirrel Wood: if worn vehicle attachments lose their rotation then what about other attachments?
- [12:25] Alexa Linden: this is old... and I think a dup
- [12:25] xstorm Radek: OMG!! i had that one happen lol
- [12:25] Alexa Linden: me too
- [12:25] xstorm Radek: only on the Aditi server
- [12:26] xstorm Radek: lol
- [12:26] Alexa Linden: a new one! https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-5724
- [12:26] JIRA-helper: [#SVC-5724] land not showing in search all
- [12:26] xstorm Radek: Search is not working for me at all
- [12:26] Soft Linden: We had a related problem....
- [12:27] Soft Linden: A few weeks ago, there was the issue where PG stuff wasn't showing up in searches if Mature and Adult were also checked
- [12:27] Drew Dwi: there are a bunch of different JIRA's in all saying search is just not working
- [12:27] Alexa Linden: I can go back and try to find it and connect/link
- [12:27] xstorm Radek: no search is not working at all it freez on me
- [12:27] Soft Linden: But I'd really bet it's that
- [12:28] Fred Gandt: I had all 3 maturity levels checked when I tested that one. Shall I add a note?
- [12:28] Soft Linden: Sure
- [12:28] xstorm Radek: i bet its more then that ;-)
- [12:28] Alexa Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-2820
- [12:28] JIRA-helper: [#VWR-2820] Shift copy leaves the copy and moves the original - wrong behavior
- [12:28] Ellla McMahon: this Parcel name is still not appearing in Search All
- [12:28] Fred Gandt: k
- [12:28] Alexa Linden: Expected Behavior....
- [12:28] Soft Linden: Fred - also try unchecking adult and mature as appropriate, see if it appears?
- [12:28] Tillie Ariantho: But its still confusing.
- [12:29] Fred Gandt: okies
- [12:29] Alexa Linden: yes, it's not what I expect
- [12:29] Soft Linden: This is deliberate, yeah.
- [12:29] Alexa Linden: and ya, Tillie very confusing
- [12:29] Soft Linden: The problem is if you moved the new one, there wouldn't be a new one to move for as much as several seconds
- [12:29] Alexa Linden: but dies work as coded
- [12:29] Alexa Linden: Does work*
- [12:29] Soft Linden: So you'd shift-copy, then sit and wait to see if the copy succeeded or not before positioning.
- [12:30] Alexa Linden: next one is a Needs more info - still an issue and please update
- [12:30] Tillie Ariantho: hm
- [12:30] Alexa Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-1878
- [12:30] JIRA-helper: [#SVC-1878] Drastically reduced simulator performance in most sims this morning
- [12:30] Fred Gandt: sounds like a resolution
- [12:30] Tillie Ariantho: Soft: yah, true thing. ^^
- [12:31] Alexa Linden: wow... more oldie moldies....
- [12:31] Alexa Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-1994
- [12:31] JIRA-helper: [#SVC-1994] llSetForce not affecting flying av correctly
- [12:31] Drew Dwi: Created: 02/Apr/08 10:41 PM
- [12:31] xstorm Radek: ok why such old BUGs ? if this flash back week ?
- [12:31] Alexa Linden: as I said before
- [12:32] Fred Gandt: I have been using llSetForce on a HUD I made for months with no issues. Tested again today. No problems.
- [12:32] Alexa Linden: it's because all Viewer 2.0 issues are NOT handled in this triage
- [12:32] Alexa Linden: they are in the Weds. triage
- [12:32] Drew Dwi: are you able to search against old versions which are not shown in the dropdowns on jira?
- [12:32] Soft Linden: I'd close this. We shouldn't change the way that push works this late after the fact.
- [12:32] Alexa Linden: so we're gettimg some old and some new things....
- [12:33] Alexa Linden: ok
- [12:33] Alexa Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-2235
- [12:33] JIRA-helper: [#SVC-2235] Traffic has not updated on my land in 4 days
- [12:33] Soft Linden: Latest "Contact Support" ev-ar
- [12:33] Drew Dwi: Created: 26/Apr/08 10:41 AM
- [12:33] Tillie Ariantho: traffic sucks anyway. :P
- [12:33] Alexa Linden: don't sim restarts sometime reset traffic?
- [12:33] Fred Gandt: Has it had reason to update?
- [12:33] xstorm Radek: i get that error too
- [12:33] Drew Dwi: 2 years old
- [12:33] Alexa Linden: support it is
- [12:34] Alexa Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-2277
- [12:34] JIRA-helper: [#SVC-2277] llSitTarget doesn't produce the right offset if given a nonzero rotation
- [12:34] Drew Dwi: Created: 02/May/08 10:36 AM
- [12:34] Soft Linden: In a case like that, support can do a good job of collecting similar reports, and escalating to execs if it's a widespread issue.
- [12:34] xstorm Radek: thats why i asked if they can setup a trafic information page for the users
- [12:34] Tillie Ariantho: People should rely on quality, not on traffic. ^^
- [12:35] Alexa Linden: support on this one soft
- [12:35] xstorm Radek: im sorry i will not put any stock in support the Ontyne still ned training
- [12:35] Alexa Linden: or the last one
- [12:35] Soft Linden: Last one
- [12:35] Alexa Linden: k
- [12:35] Drew Dwi: 2277
- [12:35] Soft Linden: This one would really need to be a feature request for a new function.
- [12:35] Alexa Linden: ok
- [12:35] Soft Linden: Fixing the existing one would break loads and loads of content
- [12:36] Fred Gandt: Strife has spake
- [12:36] Alexa Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-2862
- [12:36] JIRA-helper: [#SVC-2862] Group Search Member Count Inaccurate
- [12:36] xstorm Radek: is it ?
- [12:36] Drew Dwi: Created: 28/Oct/07 09:11 PM
- [12:36] Alexa Linden: pfft
- [12:36] Drew Dwi: this has existed for years, suprised there its not a dupe
- [12:36] Drew Dwi: larger the group, less accurate the count
- [12:37] Soft Linden: I think the issue is that cancelled accounts are counted in one case and not the other.
- [12:37] Tillie Ariantho: Someone should replace counts with one, two, three, many, lots. :P Might speed up lots of stuff. ^^
- [12:37] Soft Linden: But they do remain members of the group.
- [12:37] xstorm Radek: well group is broken in spots any way
- [12:37] Alexa Linden: good point soft
- [12:37] Soft Linden: I'd retitle this to "Group counts should omit inactive accounts"
- [12:37] Soft Linden: And import that way
- [12:37] Alexa Linden: k
- [12:37] Alexa Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-349
- [12:37] JIRA-helper: [#SVC-349] Avatar Rotation on X and Y axii non-zero after teleport
- [12:38] Fred Gandt: Less simple to test too. Inaccuracy is bound to occure the larger it gets. Counting heads is tough in SL
- [12:38] Aargle Zymurgy: rl crisis. gotta run. thanks for your time Alexa and Soft!
- [12:38] Alexa Linden: Bye Aargle! hope all's ok!
- [12:38] Soft Linden: Thanks for showing!
- [12:38] xstorm Radek: may i post one now ?
- [12:39] Alexa Linden: thoughts on 349?
- [12:39] Soft Linden: I'd import this and assign it directly to Andrew, given that he assigned it to himself externally
- [12:39] Alexa Linden: ok
- [12:39] Fred Gandt: That might answer a lot of other issues people have with scripted attachments.
- [12:39] Alexa Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-4152
- [12:39] JIRA-helper: [#SVC-4152] Scripts using state changes are misreported in "Top Scripts
- [12:40] xstorm Radek: i had that happen ony one time
- [12:40] Soft Linden: I'd import this for QA
- [12:40] Soft Linden: I
- [12:41] Alexa Linden: k
- [12:41] Soft Linden: If this is real, this is a -great- find
- [12:41] Tillie Ariantho: About that x,y rotation, I still vote for a new movement system here, anyway. Additional commands or something else that is undestandable for non-mathematics, too. :P
- [12:41] Fred Gandt: Should you not get a measure of the performance of the script as it runs (per state)?

- [12:43] Alexa Linden: np and thanks Fred :)
- [12:43] Soft Linden: I'd import this for QA, given the nice repro script
