Cross-reference to AWG
- Although it's still early days in the work of the Architecture_Working_Group, it's never too early to begin considering QA. What's more, test-driven development is not only a very powerful technique but one that is very well suited to distributed community development, since it makes it so easy to see what's working and what isn't, and to apply regression testing on a continuous basis rather than just at major release points.
- Which brings me to the AWG's Quality_Assurance_VAG. Although this is barely at the notional stage currently, I'm hoping that this heads us towards a fully test-driven new architecture, because in a distributed supergrid full of third-party worlds and private grids, you need well-tested compliance with interfaces and protocols for good interoperability and stability.
- To that end, how about Linden's internal QA team also taking an interest in the efforts of the QA VAG as stakeholders? I think it would help immensely to receive occasional comments and suggestions from the team, even if you have little time to do more. It will pay dividends in the long term! :-) --Morgaine Dinova 03:00, 28 October 2007 (PDT)
