how is this different from AGENT_SCRIPTED? —The preceding unsigned comment was added on 25 January 2024 at 05:29 by EnCore Mayne
- @EnCore Mayne: To the best of my knowledge, AGENT_SCRIPTED just means that the avatar in question has scripted objects attached to them. This might seem strange in the 2020s since all attachments will be scripted to a degree, but that was by no means the case back when that flag was created. Why exactly this was a 'need' is really beyond me. I speculate that, before Experiences were introduced, it was used to figure out if an avatar had attachd an item to complete some step of a game (or to detect if the avatar had already attached a weapon and was now ready to participate in a shoot-em-all sort of game). I agree that since the 2020s this flag is pretty much useless.
- Granted, most 'automated agents' (i.e., 'bots) usually 'also' carry scripted attachments of their own — it's not just human avatars that do that!
