Talk:Login error: "Despite our best efforts, something has gone wrong..."

The suggestion to completely re-install was first in this list before. That is not helpful given that it takes a considerable investment of time and using the published procedure discards any logs and other locally accumulated resources for the user. What would actually be more helpful here are more precise diagnostic procedures such as network commands that can test the path to, and responses from the login server.
