[16:00] xstorm Radek: Techwolf i bet that they will be late
[16:00] Patty1 Rosca: seems so
[16:00] Techwolf Lupindo: Its friday at 7PM, time for party, not meetings.
[16:01] Memorial Dae: I know on some windows machines that have high def 9 suround sometimes an extra empty input channel gets flipped on making a faint white noise
[16:01] Patty1 Rosca: maybe they were fired to it is friday
[16:01] Patty1 Rosca: ppl get fired on friday
[16:01] xstorm Radek: so what do you think Simon will be first ?
[16:01] xstorm Radek: hi Rex
[16:01] Patty1 Rosca: like pathfinder was
[16:01] Rex Cronon: greetings everybody
[16:01] Rex Cronon: hi xstorm
[16:01] Memorial Dae: Hi Rex
[16:01] Patty1 Rosca: hi rex
[16:01] Rex Cronon: hi memorial
[16:02] Chaley May: hello :)
[16:02] Patty1 Rosca: Hi everybody!!! :D :D :D
[16:02] Rex Cronon: hi patty1, chaley(u r the pickle. right:))
[16:02] xstorm Radek: :-)
[16:02] Philipp Oldrich: Greetins'
[16:02] Memorial Dae: Hi! :D
[16:02] Katisha Honi: hi :)
[16:02] Memorial Dae: Friday! Yay!
[16:02] Rex Cronon: hiii...:)
[16:02] Chaley May: im not a pickle anymore :)
[16:02] Memorial Dae: *:-.,_,.-:*'``'Yaaayyyy!!!:-.,_,.-:*'``'*
[16:03] Patty1 Rosca: pickle
[16:03] Chaley May: the pickle was me testing an RLV device and not being able to take it off for about 15 mins so i went to the office hour anyway lol
[16:03] Patty1 Rosca: their is simon
[16:03] Memorial Dae: ...at least you were not a large green jello! :)
[16:03] xstorm Radek: i was right it was Simon
[16:03] Simon Linden: Hello
[16:03] Memorial Dae: Hey Simon
[16:03] xstorm Radek: hi Simon
[16:03] Rex Cronon: sorry. didn't mean to make fun of u, but that pickle ave of yours is funny:)
[16:03] Patty1 Rosca: Helloo!!
[16:04] Chaley May: its ok :)
[16:04] Techwolf Lupindo: Hi simon
[16:04] Simon Linden: ah ok, let's see if I can find any annoucements...
[16:04] Rex Cronon: hi simon
[16:04] Chaley May: i ws the one that scripted it so i shouldve known better
[16:04] Lag Frenzy: =^_^=
[16:04] Chaley May: just didnt think the person i made it for had increased the timer
[16:04] Simon Linden: The server 1.38 release is still looking to do the pilot rolls next week
[16:04] Memorial Dae: sweetness
[16:05] xstorm Radek: Simon im starting to see other pysics problems
[16:05] Simon Linden: There have been a few last minute fixes. I think the latest today was a permissions regression
[16:05] Patty1 Rosca: im glad he is
[16:05] xstorm Radek: is there some things starting to go wrong with the sims ?
[16:06] Simon Linden: For viewer 2.0, it's getting close to release as well
[16:06] Kaluura Boa: /me whispers: Bleh...
[16:06] Chaley May: :(
[16:06] Philipp Oldrich: is there a release date?
[16:06] Katisha Honi: I'm still having sound issues with viewer 2
[16:06] Memorial Dae: The last V 2.0 path was full of awsome repairs
[16:06] xstorm Radek: viewer 2 is still crashing you know Simon
[16:06] Techwolf Lupindo: The 2.0 needs about three or more beta cycles. Still a lot of open bug reports.
[16:06] Simon Linden: And there's the fact half of the surveyed people seem to hate it, another half likes it
[16:06] Chaley May: you know normally there is supposed to be excitement for a release of something..
[16:07] Kaluura Boa: I'm still having big UI issues with that... thing
[16:07] xstorm Radek: lol
[16:07] Simon Linden: I couldn't stand it when I first started using it, but have been getting use to it and like a few features a lot
[16:07] Patty1 Rosca: it will be fine when the kinks are all out
[16:07] Morgaine Dinova: Hi Simon
[16:07] Simon Linden: Just remembering a region name in the logon window, for example
[16:07] xstorm Radek: Simon you do know this did happen in 2004
[16:07] Chaley May: which half spends the most money?
[16:07] Memorial Dae: With all the time spent with the changes over the past 6 months I can't see it being an alternate release viewer.
[16:08] Kaluura Boa: The features are nice but that solid black all over is giving me claustrophobia
[16:08] Patty1 Rosca: yea money
[16:08] Simon Linden: yeah, another update will make it better. There already are people working on those things while some are fixing the final bugs for release
[16:08] Rex Cronon: simon. i am afraid your survey lies:(
[16:08] Memorial Dae: I changed mine to bright green :D
[16:08] xstorm Radek: viewer 2 needs a way to do custom UI
[16:08] Simon Linden: I found the worst part was feeling like a noob again and not knowing how to do stuff easily
[16:08] Patty1 Rosca: /me ♡ ´¯`•.¸¸.dies laughing´¯`•.¸¸.♡
[16:09] Techwolf Lupindo: When there is a page, http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Viewer_2_Tweaks , that is used to get the viewer to a usalbe state, something is sercially wrong.
[16:09] Kaluura Boa: And I totally hate the side monster...
[16:09] Simon Linden: That's what happens when someone messes up your UI :)
[16:09] Morgaine Dinova: You can get used to anything, even when it has a dramatically worse UI that breaks all the rules of ergonomics and accessibility.
[16:09] Memorial Dae: same most of the initial reports were from the LOST AND LOOKING for options
[16:09] xstorm Radek: lol yes yes
[16:09] Simon Linden: SO that's about it for annoucments.
[16:09] Simon Linden: xstorm, what are the physics problems you're seeing?
[16:10] xstorm Radek: well now im gettings doors driffting
[16:10] Patty1 Rosca: when i go to edit and try to use voice
[16:10] xstorm Radek: balls that stack
[16:10] Patty1 Rosca: the prim locks up
[16:10] Memorial Dae: Remember how tiny physics use to turn off physics when an objects inertia dropped below a certin point because its so small the sim shouldnt have to track it further? its not runing it off anymroe for some reason lol
[16:10] Techwolf Lupindo: Example of UI b0rkeness. Try to give an inventory item to another avatar that is not online or isn't in the same area as you.
[16:10] xstorm Radek: and prims that do not fall right all the time
[16:10] Simon Linden: what do you mean by doors drifting? They wander off?
[16:11] Patty1 Rosca: well we had some shoot in another sim
[16:11] xstorm Radek: every time a door is open and closed it moves a little bit
[16:12] Memorial Dae: I have seen some scripts that rotate locally in a link set get confused but only in my sandbox sims where its taxed
[16:12] xstorm Radek: yes and like my wife says we have lost some off the sim
[16:12] Ardy Lay: Your doors are active?
[16:12] Simon Linden: I don't know what the script looks like, obviously, but have you checked that it's being put back to the same place and rotation?
[16:12] Ardy Lay: Active, dynamic physical doors?
[16:12] Patty1 Rosca: hippo doors
[16:13] xstorm Radek: plus we are seeing boats and busses and cars and swans fly in and out of our sim from other sims
[16:13] Ardy Lay: Sounds like you live next to a sandbox. :-)
[16:13] xstorm Radek: at very fast speeds
[16:13] Patty1 Rosca: and we donjt have water in the sim
[16:13] Rex Cronon: xstorm. r u sure u don't have some magnets or black holes in your sim?
[16:14] xstorm Radek: nope they are coming from peoples yards
[16:14] Patty1 Rosca: well their is a mole
[16:14] xstorm Radek: its crazy
[16:14] Memorial Dae: hahaa mole
[16:14] Patty1 Rosca: working on a hole
[16:14] Memorial Dae: roflmao
[16:14] Ardy Lay: Crazy Mole?
[16:14] Simon Linden: I'm not sure where to start there ... it sounds like it's hard to narrow down
[16:14] Patty1 Rosca: no really
[16:14] Memorial Dae: mike i bet
[16:14] Simon Linden: Is the door behavior repeatable?
[16:15] xstorm Radek: Simon come to our sim and stand and watch
[16:15] xstorm Radek: its going on every day now
[16:15] Patty1 Rosca: its the linden raod were the boats and busses fly by
[16:15] xstorm Radek: gray ojects shooting in and out of our sim
[16:16] xstorm Radek: i know it sounds nuts
[16:16] Patty1 Rosca: but the doors are not close to the road when they fly off
[16:16] Liisa Runo: to me it sounds like velocity interpolate objects + lag
[16:16] Simon Linden: Sounds like people on the other sim are moving too fast, and the viewer is drawing stuff all over
[16:16] Chaley May: could it be a cut/hollowed mega prim thats rotating?
[16:17] Simon Linden: Do you know if that stuff actually enters your sim, or if it's just the viewer drawing it that way?
[16:17] xstorm Radek: no one is in the other sim when it happens
[16:17] Philipp Oldrich: Must off to supper with the little lady. bbl
[16:17] Simon Linden: thanks for coming
[16:17] xstorm Radek: laterz Philipp
[16:17] Philipp Oldrich: thank forletting me sit in
[16:18] Memorial Dae: ......you still owe me $5! :p
[16:18] Rex Cronon: i think your sim xstorm might be conneted to the twilight zone:)
[16:18] Patty1 Rosca: it might be the viewer drawing it in
[16:18] Patty1 Rosca: cause it is fast
[16:18] xstorm Radek: not funny
[16:18] Rex Cronon: tc
[16:18] Patty1 Rosca: then poof
[16:18] Morgaine Dinova: xstorm *IS* the Twilight Zone overlord!
[16:18] Simon Linden: The viewer prediction is really brain-dead. There's some talk of work for it, but that won't be availalbe for a while
[16:18] xstorm Radek: i had to rescript every door in the sim
[16:19] Patty1 Rosca: so it could just be droplets
[16:19] Patty1 Rosca: lag overload
[16:20] Patty1 Rosca: or the twilight zone
[16:20] xstorm Radek: Simon i will invite you to see but its so damn fast its not funny
[16:20] Simon Linden: hmm, if it's really fast like that I'd suspect the viewer prediction code
[16:20] Patty1 Rosca: i affraid ill be ard for them doors poping over to other sims
[16:20] Ardy Lay: Do you have your draw distance cranked up to OMG WHAT"S THAT OVER THERE!!?!?
[16:20] Simon Linden: Are these things allowed into your sim?
[16:21] xstorm Radek: we all have seen them
[16:21] Simon Linden: 'cause if not, and they are moving fast, the prediction code would draw then in your region before it got the message about it stopping at the border
[16:21] xstorm Radek: to stop them there is no way they are like phantoms
[16:21] Memorial Dae: would be interesting to pullup debug and see pendings when that happens
[16:22] Patty1 Rosca: the boats are like drifting
[16:22] xstorm Radek: we have even seen peoples avatars at times
[16:22] Rex Cronon: is it possible that your sim might be sharing the same server with a sim that is in heavy ussage?
[16:22] Memorial Dae: ...like one of mine? rofl
[16:22] Simon Linden: yeah, that would make updates worse
[16:22] Ardy Lay: All interested parties contact xstorm after the meeting for a ghost hunting expedition. Sounds like it might be interesting. :-)
[16:22] Patty1 Rosca: *GIGGLES*:)~~~~
[16:22] Patty1 Rosca: *GIGGLES* :)~~~~
[16:23] Simon Linden: I can check what the other regions are like if you tell me your's name...
[16:23] Memorial Dae: I am all up for a hunt I even have some hunting tools
[16:23] Patty1 Rosca: above my head
[16:23] xstorm Radek: ok why is it im the one finding the crazy stuff like this all the time ?
[16:23] Patty1 Rosca: Trendone
[16:23] Simon Linden: ok, 1 sec...
[16:23] Memorial Dae: would take someone with region admin only 20 seconds to diagnose it
[16:24] Patty1 Rosca: well we did have a gaint super mega prim over the sim for a week
[16:24] xstorm Radek: in 2003 i had my first account go nuts and got stuck in a blackhole
[16:24] Memorial Dae: that sometimes causes issues even if its not physical because it still has to calc collisions
[16:24] xstorm Radek: 2008 i got stuck in a blackhole again
[16:24] Patty1 Rosca: the guy next to us rezed it over 3 sims
[16:25] xstorm Radek: oh yes
[16:25] Patty1 Rosca: and he as on he bann list
[16:25] Simon Linden: hmm, looks like you're on a class 7 server with 7 other regions
[16:25] Rex Cronon: u have my best wishes xstorm
[16:25] xstorm Radek: that very big mega prim it was 255 x 255 x 255 i think
[16:26] Patty1 Rosca: so we getting the other 7's junk flying over
[16:26] Simon Linden: There's one that's running kind of slow, and only one that's empty
[16:26] xstorm Radek: i had to AR that person with the mega prim
[16:26] Memorial Dae: Just for a compare check Hyboria ...if you dare! *dramatic musical chord*
[16:27] Lag Frenzy: omg! Lag fest
[16:27] Memorial Dae: /me points at tag
[16:27] xstorm Radek: i know Trendone is a class 7 thats why i asked for them to load test on trendone
[16:28] Simon Linden: There's 58 people logged in total ... I'm surprised to see only one region that's empty, so that's a bit of load but not really bad
[16:29] xstorm Radek: :-)
[16:29] Simon Linden: So in short, no obvious reason there
[16:29] xstorm Radek: people live in our sim and our sandbox is great
[16:29] Simon Linden: Let's see ... I went to the beta server office hours yesterday, where Havok 7 was shown off
[16:30] Simon Linden: I lasted about 2 minutes before someone crashed the region
[16:30] Memorial Dae: *:-.,_,.-:*'``'Yaaayyyy!!!:-.,_,.-:*'``'*
[16:30] Katisha Honi: ooops
[16:30] Simon Linden: That's made Falcon Linden busy today tracking down bugs
[16:30] Liisa Runo: over and over again, and the sims didnt come up
[16:30] Memorial Dae: Awsome
[16:30] xstorm Radek: OMG!! 7 can crash ?
[16:31] Susie Chaffe: lol....................fun times ahead for vehicle makers
[16:31] Simon Linden: I"m not sure if they were new crash modes or not
[16:31] Techwolf Lupindo: I need to go back and see if oatmeal is up again. We beta testers trashed the H7 sims. But then again we area TESTERS after all?
[16:31] Rex Cronon: if 7 can crash that means the curent one has no chances:(
[16:31] Simon Linden: yeah, wait until they get my region crossing code too :)
[16:31] Morgaine Dinova: Vehicles have never worked properly over region crossings anyway. Nothing new.
[16:31] xstorm Radek: lol
[16:31] Simon Linden: It's good to do ... it definitely got Falcon's attention :)
[16:32] Susie Chaffe: vehicles are not the biggest issue....its the avatars with them that tend to crahs
[16:32] Sebastean Steamweaver: I wasn't aware that simply TPing into the sim could crash it lol. I think I logged into Oatmeal about 4 times before I gave up and went back to Morris.
[16:32] xstorm Radek: Simon did they every think about all the avatar ghosting problems ?
[16:32] Techwolf Lupindo: Poor oskar came very close to instulting all the testers. But I chime in quickly hopeing to calm him down.
[16:33] xstorm Radek: i do not see avatar ghosting on a class 7 sim
[16:33] Chaley May: it was fun driving the drag racer oskar left us
[16:33] Simon Linden: That's interesting xstorm ... hmmm...
[16:33] Chaley May: when you crasy into another from the side you make them spin so nicelty
[16:33] Simon Linden: I was looking at attachment code recently, and saw the way it might get ghosted avatars
[16:34] Chaley May: *crash
[16:34] Simon Linden: When you log off, it saves all your attachments so they will be in the same state when you log back in
[16:34] Liisa Runo: Oskar was not at his best last night, he turn of scripts when the lag was clearly sim time and net time, not script time
[16:34] Sebastean Steamweaver: I think Oskar was feeling the same frustration the others felt when they kept getting logged out lol - I can't entirely blame him.
[16:34] Simon Linden: If that gets stalled, you can end up in limbo in the region, not really logged in and not fully off
[16:34] xstorm Radek: Simon is that part of why im seeing looping animations on the avatars ?
[16:34] Sebastean Steamweaver: I thought it was Maestro who turned off scripts in Morris? Someone had asked him to.
[16:34] Rex Cronon: what? oskar alsmost blew a feuse?
[16:35] Memorial Dae: animations seem o skip or ski ahead at times
[16:35] Memorial Dae: ?
[16:35] Simon Linden: yeah, there was really bad lag there when I logged in
[16:35] Techwolf Lupindo: I got ghosted once. at first I though someone cracked the account, then after doing some checks saw that indeed I was ghosted. Someone managed to get a Linden to do a force logout on me and while I was still ghosted in the sim, when I tip to a nearby sim, the ghost vanished.
[16:35] Rex Cronon: at what time did this take place?
[16:35] Simon Linden: I haven't heard of the animations skipping ... those are all done viewer-side, so I wonder if something changed there
[16:35] Rex Cronon: i am talking bout the h7 test
[16:36] xstorm Radek: yes Techwolf i have people help me track down ghosted avatars
[16:36] Simon Linden: That was the beta server office hours - yesterday at 3:00
[16:37] Techwolf Lupindo: Morris got lagged to death and no really oviouos casue. Hope they got data off of that too.
[16:37] Sebastean Steamweaver: Molasses Morris
[16:37] xstorm Radek: oh and Simon do not tell any one i track down odd ghosted stuff lol
[16:37] Simon Linden: I looked around and couldn't figure out what it was either
[16:38] Rex Cronon: r u a ghost buster:)
[16:38] Simon Linden: I'll keep it a secret, but I think it will show up in the office hours transcript....
[16:38] xstorm Radek: lol no
[16:38] Sebastean Steamweaver: Simon, do you have the ability to look at a sim's running processses and determine what's eating up the resources?
[16:38] xstorm Radek: oooppsss damn
[16:38] Techwolf Lupindo: Last night before I call it a night, I poped into Morris on betagrid and saw it was lagged even with just me there.
[16:39] Simon Linden: Sebastian - somewhat. I can connect to the server and do system diagnostics, run the typical linux commands, etc
[16:39] xstorm Radek: oh gee Ardy can black mail me lol
[16:39] Techwolf Lupindo: # > reboot
[16:39] Techwolf Lupindo: :-)
[16:39] Liisa Runo: they could enable autoreturn, the sim is almost full of random junk...
[16:39] Simon Linden: There's also a way to get a region to log performance data for some interval. That can tell us how long each frame takes and where it spends the time
[16:39] xstorm Radek: joking Ardy
[16:39] Patty1 Rosca: so why are most of my scripts broken
[16:39] Memorial Dae: so is the sim north
[16:40] Simon Linden: But it doesn't go into great detail (which would make it even slower) but might tell us if it's scripts vs. physics, etc
[16:40] xstorm Radek: dear they are our the old LSL scripts i need to recompile them
[16:40] Patty1 Rosca: my old scripts i had been using like for years no longer work
[16:40] Simon Linden: Some of the servers on the beta grid (and our dev grids) are the older hardware
[16:41] Simon Linden: We also sometimes pile on more regions
[16:41] xstorm Radek: seems a lot of our scripts from 2003 - 2004 no longer work good
[16:41] Patty1 Rosca: thats them
[16:41] Techwolf Lupindo: Simon, that not a bad idea to run on older hardware, slower hardware can show performance problems better.
[16:41] Memorial Dae: Looking at diag I thought scripts no longer lag regions only themselves and have been that way for some time now.
[16:41] Simon Linden: yep, I agree
[16:42] Sebastean Steamweaver: Usually if a script I have is that old, I tend to go back through and rewrite it anyway lol.
[16:42] Sebastean Steamweaver: What scripts in particular, Patty?
[16:42] Patty1 Rosca: well all of them
[16:42] Simon Linden: Scripts can certainly do things that will bog down the region
[16:42] Patty1 Rosca: doors
[16:42] Simon Linden: Especially if you have a lot of them
[16:42] Patty1 Rosca: moving items
[16:43] Simon Linden: When you move them, is that an individual object or part of a larger link set?
[16:43] xstorm Radek: well i have close to 300 scripts
[16:43] Memorial Dae: Well ya if i run a chainmaker that creates a string of physical chain links I can shut my sandbox's down..but its not the script jsut what it does.
[16:43] Ardy Lay: Scripts that generate object updates and scripts that generate messages can be particularly vile.
[16:43] Memorial Dae: right data
[16:43] Simon Linden: And rezzing stuff
[16:43] xstorm Radek: many of them are like the Linden labs res vender script frpm 2003
[16:44] Patty1 Rosca: well all the scripts are having to be redone all over
[16:44] Memorial Dae: oh interesting that that one would stop working. no retired commands in it that I can remember
[16:45] Simon Linden: There's a pretty wide range of scripts out there ... some good, some not so good
[16:45] Patty1 Rosca: could it be the new viewer
[16:45] Memorial Dae: ..and some downright evil
[16:45] Rex Cronon: i had over 7scripts that did that in a sim, ardy. and there was no lag:)
[16:45] xstorm Radek: boat floating scrips no longer work
[16:45] Simon Linden: Did they stop working at a particular time? Like a server update?
[16:45] Rex Cronon: i had over 7000 scripts*
[16:46] Memorial Dae: I particularly do not like the new SHARED MEDIA script that puts a rick rolled cube over your head! >.<
[16:46] Lag Frenzy: some of the old scripts use various hacks... if the hack is no longer supported, goodbye script?
[16:46] xstorm Radek: yes when we got a server update they did stop
[16:46] Patty1 Rosca: so all new scripts done know might not work in 2 years again!
[16:46] Simon Linden: We try pretty hard not to break stuff. I don't remember any functions being removed or anything like that
[16:46] xstorm Radek: thinks like command path not found
[16:47] Memorial Dae: llmakesmoke :)
[16:47] xstorm Radek: i know my old inventory helper script is dead
[16:48] Simon Linden: I know Babbage is working on versioning along with the C# work. Hopefully we'll get to the point where we can fix APIs and functions, but still have older scripts run the same way as they always have
[16:48] Memorial Dae: Simon that will actually be awsome
[16:48] Sebastean Steamweaver: Patty: 2 years from now, I'm hoping we have much better alternatives to what is currently available :)
[16:48] Patty1 Rosca: yea
[16:48] xstorm Radek: will there be a script converter to convert LSL to C# ?
[16:48] Memorial Dae: 2 years from now im gonna be coding in C# in SL
[16:49] Liisa Runo: in the future, the old scripts will work, but no one want to use that junk anymore
[16:49] Simon Linden: xstorm - I haven't heard of one yet, but it's early enough that I wouldn't rule it out
[16:49] Patty1 Rosca: o but my scripts are not junk to me
[16:49] xstorm Radek: hey im a packrat i love my 2003 stuff
[16:49] Simon Linden: It might be possible to write something that does most of the grunt work for you, and leaves notes about what needs to be fixed up. That's probably not too hard, but doing a full job is much tougher
[16:50] Memorial Dae: im sure some of them can be tweeked and get them back to running as intended! :)
[16:50] Patty1 Rosca: i like y junk
[16:50] xstorm Radek: after all i still have stuff made by Gov Linden
[16:50] DogWomble Dollinger: well, i'd think having a 'script convertor' would actually be a good idea in the sense that there are people out there that have a lot of scripts that they've picked up, but don't know how to code, so something that does as much as feasable would go down well i think
[16:51] Liisa Runo: i like some of my old junk too, but only cause i dont look at the script :P
[16:51] Simon Linden: Let's see ... yesterday I started working on the VFS system, which is also used in the viewer
[16:51] Sebastean Steamweaver: VFS?
[16:51] Simon Linden: It needs an overhaul so we can do more multitasking and get rid of lags related to disk accesss
[16:51] Patty1 Rosca: is it true that someone can purchase a server for their own use Simon in sl
[16:51] Simon Linden: It's a Virtual File System
[16:51] Sebastean Steamweaver: Aahh
[16:51] Simon Linden: It's used to package lots of files into one big one
[16:51] xstorm Radek: how many people have a gov linden bit of road and floor
[16:51] Simon Linden: Because Windows gets really slow if you have a ton o f little files
[16:52] Simon Linden: It's used in the viewer as well as the simulator
[16:52] Ayameko Kabila: Sorry I have a Non script related questions. One ofmystudents is being told she will be ARed and that a linden is personally getting involved if she doesn't rent from this one person. I wanted toassure her that this wasn't the case.
[16:52] Simon Linden: But the simulator really doesn't need to use that, and it's buggy and doesn't support threads well
[16:52] Simon Linden: Ayameko - that doesn't sound right
[16:53] Memorial Dae: Ayemeko, it would be best to report that so that
[16:53] Simon Linden: No Linden would be forcing anyone to rent from someone or not
[16:53] Memorial Dae: it can be investigated
[16:53] Simon Linden: Yes, so you should report that too. That just sounds like bullying
[16:53] Patty1 Rosca: it sure is
[16:53] Sebastean Steamweaver: Very much like bullying.
[16:53] xstorm Radek: i will have to AR some one that did that
[16:53] Sebastean Steamweaver: Whoever is telling your student that should be ARed themselves.
[16:54] xstorm Radek: plus you need a text log
[16:54] Ayameko Kabila: Will it take everything from theims?I'm sorry i've never had to do that before.
[16:54] Sebastean Steamweaver: And I need to get going on that note. Take care all :)
[16:54] Memorial Dae: take care.
[16:54] Simon Linden: Bye Seb. S.
[16:54] Katisha Honi: bye
[16:54] Rex Cronon: tc sebastean
[16:54] Ayameko Kabila: Please take care, sorry for intterrupting
[16:54] Memorial Dae: It is about that time :(
[16:54] Patty1 Rosca: Simon the new viewer will be less complicated?
[16:54] Patty1 Rosca: well new update
[16:54] xstorm Radek: and if they do not have the last name linden then they are not a linden
[16:55] Simon Linden: Right now we have the viewer 2 beta, which is a pre-release of the regular 2 viewer
[16:55] xstorm Radek: and you can AR people that tells you they are a linden if they are not
[16:55] Simon Linden: It very close to done, so the beta is pretty much what 2.0 will be
[16:55] Patty1 Rosca: ok ill see what happens when it comes out
[16:55] Simon Linden: (hopefully with fewer bugs in the main release)
[16:56] Rex Cronon: i have seen some people that have group titles that read "Linden Staff":(
[16:56] Patty1 Rosca: my internet want let me fully run the beat one
[16:56] Patty1 Rosca: beta
[16:56] Memorial Dae: inventory item properties bug is fixed, that was the most anoying one
[16:56] Simon Linden: Yeah, or you can make a floating prim that looks like the tags too
[16:56] xstorm Radek: i remember the fake SL Police doing scams on people
[16:56] Rex Cronon: maybe such group titles shouldn't be allowed
[16:56] Lag Frenzy: AR them for fraud?
[16:56] Memorial Dae: well now SL is not allowed in the title
[16:57] Simon Linden: It's really, really hard to figure out how to check that
[16:57] Patty1 Rosca: police the tags
[16:57] Rex Cronon: the group title looks more convincing than a floating prim text
[16:57] Memorial Dae: oh well cant really keep the term use out
[16:57] xstorm Radek: click on the person to see profiles
[16:57] DogWomble Dollinger: patty, easier said than done maybe ... while there may be 'common' key words that can be checked for, there'll always be someone who gets creative with them
[16:57] Techwolf Lupindo: select from * where group title like "Linden"
[16:57] Simon Linden: Well, that's essentially what happens if someone gets ARed about having a tag like that
[16:57] xstorm Radek: and never tell any one your password
[16:57] Simon Linden: I meant it was hard to do automatically
[16:57] Memorial Dae: If it is a real linden they will pull out a cutout of lee linden to handle the situation.
[16:58] Patty1 Rosca: *GIGGLES*:)~~~~
[16:58] Patty1 Rosca: *GIGGLES* :)~~~~

[16:59] Memorial Dae: /me rolls eyes
[16:59] Techwolf Lupindo: I tied it to my fur somewhere. heheh
[16:59] Rex Cronon: in some online games those that r part of the staff have a crown or a wrench added to their name
[16:59] Ayameko Kabila: or lee could add the badge onto him like a tattoo ^_^
[16:59] Ayameko Kabila: err blue*
[16:59] xstorm Radek: Simon i will have to keep logs of every badge linden then lol it will be korea1 all over again
[16:59] xstorm Radek: lol
[16:59] Patty1 Rosca: click on the profile is the answer not a badge
[16:59] Simon Linden: How long before the counterfiet badge makers would be out
