I was wondering if [[llInstantMessage]] shouldn't be added to the list of the many ways to chat with others, but i guess that, from the perspective of this section, 'chat' is defined as ''two''-way communication, while [[llInstantMessage]] only provides programmatically one way — the recipient cannot reply back.

I guess that's why it is listed under {{c|LSL_Communications}} but not here?

I was double checking the God Mode revision and noticed this: "distance in front of speaking agent the [chat] sphere is centered" has anyone ever noticed this or is this dead code? I assume it only effects users and not scripts (as folks would have complained! -- Strife (talk|contribs) 22:03, 31 December 2013 (PST)

Those constants are unused. They are very old too, so I think it's safe to ignore them. --ObviousAltIsObvious Resident 22:29, 31 December 2013 (PST)

Is instant messaging a 'type' of chat?

I was wondering if llInstantMessage shouldn't be added to the list of the many ways to chat with others, but I guess that, from the perspective of how this section was organised, 'chat' was defined as two-way communication, while llInstantMessage only provides programmatically one way — the recipient cannot reply back.

I guess that's why it is listed under LSL Communications but not here?
