The Mesh Project Viewer (Open Beta) is coming October 13. We will be updating documentation here to help everyone get started.

KBcaution.png Important: The Mesh Project viewer and mesh support on aditi are not fully polished, release-ready software. Part of the reason for making this software available is to help us identify and fix remaining issues. Please be aware that issues such as crashes or loss of mesh content are possible.

Introduction

The Mesh Project Viewer is a chance for everyone to try out an early implementation of mesh import, an upcoming feature that will allow creators to model objects in external tools and bring them into Second Life. To try out mesh you will need to:

  1. Wait until October 13, 2010! Before that date, the mesh-enabled regions will not be accessible.
  2. Download the Mesh Project viewer at <LINK>.
  3. Log on using the Mesh Project viewer. By default, the Mesh First Look viewer will connect you to the aditi developer grid; as the region, specify any of the active mesh regions, for example, Mesh City. If you have any problems logging in, see these instructions on getting your account set up on aditi.
