There are several resources to help you successfully promote your Second Life presence to both new and existing users.

- Profiles: Create your profile on my.secondlife.com, discover & connect with like minded users.
- Destination Guide: Promote your venue in this editorial guide for the viewer and Secondlife.com.
- Community Events: Create a buzz for your event by adding a listing to our Events guide.
- Linden Endowment for the Arts: The LEA is an official Linden Community Partnership program whose purpose is to help new artists, cultivate art in SL, and foster creativity, innovation, and collaboration within the art community.
- User Groups: Participate in Technology focused discussion groups
- Blogs and Forums: Connect with the larger community through our official blogs and forums.
- Knowledge Base and Answers: Strengthen your community credibility by participating in Answers and the Knowledge Base.
- Help and How To: Suggest your location to teach users the basics, intermediate or advanced tools and techniques.
- Affiliate Program: Feature your community on your website and earn money by referring users to secondlife.com
- Marketplace and Classifieds: The inviewer and Marketplace classifieds system allows content creators to advertise products and services to fellow users.
- Second Life Official Flickr Account: Submit your snapshots and Second Life photos for a chance to be featured in Pic of the Day or other promotions.

Social Media Resources
Promote your communities and connect with the official SL presence in these social media channels:
- my.secondlife.com:Follow Second Life on Second Life Profilesand get Second Life Community updates, news and more.
- Facebook: “Like” the official Second Life Facebook page, and comment and upload images to our wall. Have your own fan page? Share the link on our wall and we'll usually fan your page.
- YouTube: Subscribe to Second Life's YouTube channel, and share links to your SL videos in "Channel Comments". If your group has its own channel, post a comment in the SL channel and we'll subscribe.
- Twitter: Follow Second Life on Twitter and use current SL-related hashtags. Have a Twitter account? Follow @secondlife and we'll usually follow you back.
- Flickr:Second Life Official Flickr group Join and share your SL snapshots with other Second Life communities. your photos may be features as a Pic of the Day or in other promotions.
- Pinterest: Create a Second Life board, follow us and we'll usually follow you back on Pinterest.
- Google+: Add the Second Life Google+ page to your circles.
