[11:00] Simon Linden: Hello everyone
[11:00] Sahkolihaa Contepomi: Small crowd again, like Bug Triage was.
[11:00] Ardy Lay: Hi Simon
[11:00] Bronson Blackadder: turkey week
[11:00] Questar Utu: Heh.
[11:00] Welcome to Linden office hours
[11:00] Sahkolihaa Contepomi: Not for me, being in England and all.
[11:00] Sahkolihaa Contepomi: :p
[11:00] Questar Utu: :p
[11:00] Latif Khalifa: hello :)
[11:00] Simon Linden: Andrew should be on the way, so we'll get started soon
[11:00] Bronson Blackadder: any week is turkey week
[11:01] Bronson Blackadder: just need to cook one
[11:01] Bronson Blackadder: lol
[11:01] Ardy Lay: Hi Andrew
[11:01] Latif Khalifa: hello, andrew :)
[11:01] 2408 Alekseev: hello:)
[11:01] Sahkolihaa Contepomi: Hey Andrew.
[11:01] lonetorus Habilis: heyhey
[11:01] Andrew Linden: Hi everyone.
[11:01] lonetorus Habilis: i have a topic :D
[11:01] Cerdita Piek waves
[11:02] lonetorus Habilis: andrew, do you know of any reason why some accounts would not receive im to email when offline?
[11:02] lonetorus Habilis: i went through support channels and they said open a jira
[11:02] lonetorus Habilis: when i looked in jira, it seems there are many other people with the same issue
[11:02] Bronson Blackadder: have checked your spam folder?
[11:02] Andrew Linden: No lonetorus. I think I saw that bug in the pile a while ago.
[11:02] Bronson Blackadder: alot of mine end up in there
[11:03] lonetorus Habilis: i went through support channels and they said open a jira
[11:03] lonetorus Habilis: when i looked in jira, it seems there are many other people with the same issue
[11:03] Sahkolihaa Contepomi: Hm, I've always received them.
[11:03] lonetorus Habilis: (you went out of chat range just before, andrew)
[11:03] Simon Linden: I've found that system to be somewhat flaky in general, fwiw. Don't know about the specific reasons, howeer
[11:03] Latif Khalifa: lone, has checked settings, re-checked, and checked again, all obvious things were removed as a posibility
[11:03] lonetorus Habilis: yes, also it works fine for may lat accounts
[11:03] lonetorus Habilis: just thsi one account its not working
[11:04] lonetorus Habilis: since late 2008
[11:04] Andrew Linden: I'm pretty sure that no-email bug has already been imported to the internal list. Lemme see if I can find it.
[11:06] lonetorus Habilis: could be this one: http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-2573
[11:06] s not being sent to email
[11:06] Cerdita Piek: I had some email problems with my account at yahoo, but not at gmail.
[11:06] Rex Cronon: hello everybody
[11:06] lonetorus Habilis: though that seems related to LL ip ranges being blacklisted
[11:06] Sahkolihaa Contepomi waves.
[11:06] 2408 Alekseev: Hello:)
[11:07] lonetorus Habilis: im using gmail for my sl account
[11:07] Rex Cronon: hi
[11:07] Mojito Sorbet: Never had trouble with gmail
[11:07] Rex Cronon: :)
[11:07] Questar Utu waves as well.
[11:07] Latif Khalifa: yes, that seems imported as DEV-17164
[11:07] Andrew Linden: Could be. Actually, searching for "email" bug produced a big flood of possibilities.
[11:07] Rex Cronon: try hotmail:)
[11:07] Sahkolihaa Contepomi: Urgh, hotmail.
[11:07] Questar Utu: Heh. I still use that for my main email thing.
[11:07] lonetorus Habilis: yeah, there are spam blacklistings, intermitten no emails and those that have not had emails working for a while like myslef
[11:07] Rex Cronon: the downside is that most emails from sl end up in the trash folder:)
[11:07] lonetorus Habilis: that seems to be the 3 main categories
[11:08] Latif Khalifa: i use gmail too, and get sl notifications via email just fine
[11:08] lonetorus Habilis: yeah, as i said, it works fine for my alt, also with gmail
[11:09] Latif Khalifa: lone, did you try for the sake of it using some different email address?
[11:09] Andrew Linden: hrm... DEV-17164 was closed "We think it is fixed"
[11:09] lonetorus Habilis: its not fixed ;)
[11:09] lonetorus Habilis: *grins*
[11:10] lonetorus Habilis: its possible to chnage my email address?
[11:10] Andrew Linden: so lonetorus, you get zero offline emails from IM?
[11:10] lonetorus Habilis: didnt know that
[11:10] lonetorus Habilis: not a single one, when the source is IM
[11:10] Latif Khalifa: yes, you can go to "contact info" part on the web
[11:10] Simon Linden: I'll bet there may be several problems involved, from something on our back-end system to email systems blocking those messages
[11:10] lonetorus Habilis: i get from xstreet, and blog
[11:10] lonetorus Habilis: but not im
[11:10] lonetorus Habilis: do you want my support ticket id?
[11:11] Cerdita Piek: Just a silly question : do you have activated the 'IM to email' option?
[11:11] Andrew Linden: no, I don't have access to support ticket pipeline
[11:11] Latif Khalifa: https://secure-web13.secondlife.com/my/account/contact.php?lang=en-US
[11:12] Latif Khalifa: ^^that page gives you posibility to change email and chose if you want to recieve offline IMs as emails
[11:12] lonetorus Habilis: it was Charlene Linden that said it was general issue and that i would need to jira it
[11:12] Rex Cronon: go to preferencescommunication and make sure that "send IM to email" is checked
[11:12] lonetorus Habilis: yes, i did that
[11:12] lonetorus Habilis: hehe
[11:12] lonetorus Habilis: also the setting sticks, so if i unselect it and log out
[11:13] lonetorus Habilis: its still unselected when it retrevies the infor on next login
[11:13] Latif Khalifa: i'd go there and change email to something else, and check if simple changing email at https://secure-web13.secondlife.com/my/account/contact.php?lang=en-US wakes it up
[11:13] lonetorus Habilis: and visa versa when selected
[11:13] Rex Cronon: lonetorus, u have edit manually the xml file:(
[11:13] 2408 Alekseev: :)
[11:14] Latif Khalifa: that checkbox is a server side preference
[11:14] Latif Khalifa: it's not local
[11:14] lonetorus Habilis: i did not edit it
[11:14] lonetorus Habilis: also it persists across windows reinstall
[11:14] lonetorus Habilis: :P
[11:14] lonetorus Habilis: and multiple machines
[11:15] Rex Cronon: sadly in order for changes on that page to stick i have to manully edit the xml file:(
[11:15] Andrew Linden: I wonder how to debug that one. I fear digging into our outgoing email system code and pipeline -- I've been lost there befor already.
[11:15] Latif Khalifa: lone try changing email and settting that checkbox via the web page
[11:15] Mojito Sorbet: I have seen non-sticky settings other place. Like tuurning off Group Notices. They keep coming on again
[11:15] lonetorus Habilis: what about assigning my account to a different cluster?
[11:16] Andrew Linden: different cluster? We don't have any clusters that I know of.
[11:16] lonetorus Habilis: well, accounts are grouped by asset store no?
[11:16] Andrew Linden: We have different "inventory database" server clusters.
[11:16] lonetorus Habilis: thats what i meant
[11:17] Andrew Linden: I guess they would be called "clusters". Each db server has two backups.
[11:17] lonetorus Habilis: thats been my thought all along, that people on the same "cluster" are having the same issue
[11:17] lonetorus Habilis: but of course that just a wild guess
[11:18] lufpleh Obstreperous: how about creating a simple alt account diredting to a brand new email address, see if that pipe gets to you lone
[11:18] Andrew Linden: I wouldn't expect that to fix it, but hey... voodoo sometimes works. I could also kill a chicken and move little crystals around in interesting patterns.
[11:18] lonetorus Habilis: lol
[11:19] lonetorus Habilis: ok, well, it does seem a bit woodoo ish, when you see things only from the clients perspective
[11:19] Rex Cronon: open and edit folloiwng file app_setingssettings.xml
[11:20] Andrew Linden: so I fixed this bug yesterday.. hrm it doesn't have a public jira counterpart
[11:20] Andrew Linden: I'm sure it does... just got to find it
[11:20] Latif Khalifa: what was the bug?
[11:22] Andrew Linden: it was a rotation drift in the Euler Angles of selected objects... Roll Pitch Yaw (rot X, Y, Z in the edit window)
[11:22] 2408 Alekseev: Sorry, have you finnished the issue?
[11:23] Rex Cronon: my mistake that file doesn't contain the value for "send im to email"
[11:23] 2408 Alekseev: My English is not that good to understand when it is finnished
[11:23] Andrew Linden: Ok, I just found three likely duplicates of the bug in public jira
[11:23] Andrew Linden: I'll try to comment on those later.
[11:23] Andrew Linden: SVC-94 is one of them
[11:23] Build system changes rotations slightly at random (including when "Edit linked parts" is on)
[11:23] Sahkolihaa Contepomi: The search actually worked?
[11:24] Latif Khalifa: simon claims that one was fixed :D
[11:24] Andrew Linden: I have a fix for it. I submitted it to the viewer team and they are going to put it in something... probably viewer-2.0.
[11:24] Latif Khalifa: ah it was viewer bug?
[11:25] Andrew Linden: Ah, so it was claimed fixed. Well, the bug is similar to that one.
[11:26] Andrew Linden: Also, this morning I fixed the "some objects don't link anymore" bug. It will be in server-1.34.
[11:26] Latif Khalifa: viewer has known issues with rounding errors, stuff shows up like a very shaky camera at high altitudes, etc
[11:26] Latif Khalifa: how is 1.34 coming along
[11:26] Simon Linden: If I remember, that's really a problem with our numeric precision. My 'fix' made it better for the common rotations (180, etc) where we were getting rounded away from the usual even value
[11:26] Sahkolihaa Contepomi: And setting light parameters is never kept at .#00
[11:27] 2408 Alekseev: Oki, I have a similar problem
[11:27] Andrew Linden: 1.34 is on schedule... week and half away I think.
[11:27] 2408 Alekseev: I used to be a happy merchant whoneveer heard about non deliveries
[11:27] Latif Khalifa: anything new & exciting in it? :)
[11:27] Andrew Linden: Latif, that shaky camera at high altitudes is caused by real floating point error
[11:28] Andrew Linden: Actually, nothing new and exciting is in server-1.34.
[11:28] Andrew Linden: The #deploy team were joking when I announced my linkability fix that they finally had something to talk about in 1.34.
[11:28] Latif Khalifa: haha
[11:28] Ovaltine Constantine: So when are we getting new and exciting stuff
[11:29] Latif Khalifa: so it's backend updates mostly for new viewers and stuff?
[11:29] Andrew Linden: server-1.36 should have some interesting stuff -- I'm targeting that server for the MISC-3077 project.
[11:29] List of Linden-Confirmed Easy Changes/Additions With Large Returns
[11:29] Latif Khalifa: cool :)
[11:29] Xugu Madison: Excellent! That's fantastic news!
[11:30] Andrew Linden: Also, Don submitted one fix for MISC-3077, and there are two other small ones I think.
[11:30] office hours is half over
[11:30] Andrew Linden: Oh, and Babbage Linden is planning on implementing llSetLinkPrimitiveParams() and maybe also the corresponding llGet
[11:30] Arawn Spitteler: @Latif, Justin was asking about Chat-Bots, earlier; something about a college course.
[11:30] Andrew Linden: so I'm going to steer clear of that call so I don't conflict.
[11:30] 2408 Alekseev: Can I have some help?
[11:31] lonetorus Habilis: ok, i chnaged my email, latif if you would be so kind and send me some im's while im logged off?
[11:31] Latif Khalifa: lone, sore
[11:31] Latif Khalifa: sure
[11:31] Rex Cronon: we already have set, u need get?
[11:31] Rex Cronon: we need get*
[11:32] Latif Khalifa: andrew, do you work with babbage on freezes, or is that ball in his yard?
[11:32] Andrew Linden: Don Linden fixed SVC-1638
[11:32] New flag PARCEL_DETAILS_UUID
[11:32] Arawn Spitteler: PRIM_ROT needs a fix, if Bab is working there.
[11:32] Simon Linden: 2408, what are the delivery problems you mentioned?
[11:32] Xugu Madison: This is like Christmas come early :)
[11:32] 2408 Alekseev: A week ago it began
[11:32] Andrew Linden: Latif, Babbage is working on the freezes. I'm not collaborating on that. He's got a fellow teammate though...
[11:32] Andrew Linden: Karel Linden I think.
[11:32] 2408 Alekseev: 2-3 not delivered items in my store
[11:33] 2408 Alekseev: every morning
[11:33] 2408 Alekseev: never happened before...never
[11:33] 2408 Alekseev: my store is 1 year old
[11:33] Latif Khalifa: good news. how did it go with enhancing your team with new server lindens? managed to get some talent in?
[11:33] Arawn Spitteler hopes that SVC-22 and SVC-93 have had ritual mention.
[11:33] ROTATION and llSetRot incorrectly implemented for child prims
[11:33] Vehicles crossing region borders aren't always treated as vehicles and can get incorrectly returned if the destination parcel is no-entry or parcel-full
[11:33] 2408 Alekseev: and my items are dstroyed in my customers' inventories
[11:34] 2408 Alekseev: I released a pair of boots 1 month ago
[11:34] 2408 Alekseev: people wore it wil pleasure
[11:34] 2408 Alekseev: untill last week
[11:34] 2408 Alekseev: when they announced me they look ...broken
[11:34] Arawn Spitteler: Does it workin you own inventory?
[11:34] 2408 Alekseev: can I rezz a boot?
[11:34] Andrew Linden: 2408, what are the symptoms? They never rez? or rez broken?
[11:34] Simon Linden: Sure, you can rez here
[11:34] 2408 Alekseev: it is not looking good, neither worn, neither rezzed
[11:35] Andrew Linden: Let's take a look.
[11:35] Rex Cronon: sculptie?
[11:35] Latif Khalifa: perhaps asset server ate a sculpt image or something
[11:35] Arawn Spitteler: Table's a good place
[11:35] Andrew Linden: That's what I'm wondering.
[11:35] 2408 Alekseev: whay shall I do?
[11:35] Arawn Spitteler: The boot includes the foot?
[11:35] Andrew Linden: Ah, I think I'm familiar with this issue.
[11:35] 2408 Alekseev: I have a lot of people who already bought it
[11:35] 2408 Alekseev: yes
[11:36] Rex Cronon: i don't see any boot
[11:36] 2408 Alekseev: shall I make another one?
[11:36] Arawn Spitteler: What's it supposed to look like?
[11:36] 2408 Alekseev: as a gift to my customers who lost this one?
[11:36] Latif Khalifa: i see it fine
[11:36] Rex Cronon: i see balls
[11:36] Latif Khalifa: except for some z-fighting sutff
[11:36] 2408 Alekseev: like a foot with a boot which top is cut
[11:37] 2408 Alekseev: and covered in lace
[11:37] Simon Linden: Looks OK to me ... when it's broken, how does it appear?
[11:37] Andrew Linden: This shoe looks like something made by a particular content creator and is copyrighted by her. Boots like this have been illegally copied and are probably targeted for copyright takedown.
[11:37] 2408 Alekseev: the inner foot appears over the black calf
[11:37] 2408 Alekseev: no
[11:37] 2408 Alekseev: all the sculpts are made by me in Maya
[11:38] 2408 Alekseev: well...not the lace, it is bought
[11:38] Rex Cronon: problem is. how can u prove it?
[11:38] lonetorus Habilis: nop, no emails
[11:38] lonetorus Habilis: :(
[11:38] Latif Khalifa: :(
[11:38] 2408 Alekseev: I have all the intermediary steps in Maya scenes
[11:39] 2408 Alekseev: I can prove anytime to an impartial judge
[11:39] Cerdita Piek: i see it right, except that when i move the camera closer to the show, part of it turns invisible o.O
[11:39] Andrew Linden: weeee, I crashed out when I examined the boot in detail
[11:39] Sahkolihaa Contepomi: Heh.
[11:39] Cerdita Piek: to the shoe*
[11:39] Latif Khalifa: i put a snapshot how i see it behind me
[11:39] Rex Cronon: it hasen'tfully loaded yet
[11:39] Andrew Linden: 2408, it may be that I'm wrong and this boot hasn't been targeted for takedown. I was just guessing.
[11:39] Latif Khalifa: looks fine to me, how is it supposed to look?
[11:40] Latif Khalifa: compared to the snapshot behind me?
[11:40] Rex Cronon: wow. 165 prim?
[11:40] 2408 Alekseev: it looks to me and my customers like the black part would be broken and the inner foot is shown
[11:40] Andrew Linden: I know that a particular boot creator who came up with the "sculpty toes" solution has been having her content copied and has been fairly agressive at issuing takedowns.
[11:40] Latif Khalifa: from farther away it does not looks so good, but that's your standard sculptie lod, z-fighting stuff
[11:40] Andrew Linden: So I was just guessing that your boots might be affected.
[11:40] Techwolf Lupindo: I saw taht for a few minutes then the one skulpt textures finaially loaded up.
[11:41] 2408 Alekseev: nu, they are impossible to remake by sculpts
[11:41] Cerdita Piek: i see intermitently that the lower part appears and disappears. o.O
[11:41] Andrew Linden: ah I see... it looks like the object is mostly correct... but
[11:41] Andrew Linden: oh, now it looks fine when I zoom in
[11:42] Latif Khalifa: its sculptie LOD thing
[11:42] 2408 Alekseev: and the zooming out problem also ..
[11:42] Andrew Linden: it is a level of detail (LOD) problem.... yup. I've got my settings set really low.
[11:42] Rex Cronon: women wear things like these in rl?
[11:42] 2408 Alekseev: why it was not for 3 weeks?
[11:42] Devon Alderton: NPIRL, this one.
[11:42] Bronson Blackadder: I see it perfectly
[11:42] Bronson Blackadder: all distance :?
[11:42] lonetorus Habilis: looks fine here too
[11:43] Andrew Linden: yeah, I think the earlier chatter is correct... LOD and Z-fighting when the LOD gets low
[11:43] Bronson Blackadder: could it be driver issues for video cards?
[11:43] Melchizedek Blauvelt: Same here, I see it perfectly from any distance with rendervolumelodfactor at 4
[11:43] 2408 Alekseev: what isZ-fighting?
[11:43] Techwolf Lupindo: Heh, before I even get my camera beyoun the table, the foot starts showing though due to skulupit LOD issues. Looks like another shop is going to have to distrubite notecards to customer on how to fix.
[11:43] 2408 Alekseev: I will have to check
[11:43] Rex Cronon: i see i t ok only close up
[11:43] 2408 Alekseev: yes
[11:43] Andrew Linden: "Z fighting" is the term used for when two obejct surfaces are nearly at the same spot and tend to flicker one in front of the other
[11:43] Bronson Blackadder: lol.. my LOD factor is 4
[11:43] Bronson Blackadder: lol
[11:44] 2408 Alekseev: but before, a week ago, everyone could see it well
[11:44] Bronson Blackadder: no wonder I see it perfectly
[11:44] Andrew Linden: the Z direction is "striaght ahead" in the OpenGL render pipeline
[11:44] 2408 Alekseev: even at Rendervolumefactor 2
[11:44] Cerdita Piek: i crashed too :(
[11:44] Arawn Spitteler: I see nice dtail on the lace, until a moment ago
[11:44] Simon Linden: Shoes so painful the viewer crashes :)
[11:44] Bronson Blackadder: lol
[11:44] Latif Khalifa: haha
[11:44] Techwolf Lupindo lol
[11:44] 2408 Alekseev: eh...you, men...
[11:44] Andrew Linden: so when floating point error causes two or more surfaces to fluctuate their relative positions on the Z axis for pixel rendering it is called "Z fighting"
[11:45] Devon Alderton: physics is wrong for RL, those shoes.
[11:45] Techwolf Lupindo: Good thing I don't needs shoes with these paws. :-)
[11:45] Rex Cronon: 2048. is it not possible t reduc the n of prims in t?
[11:45] 2408 Alekseev: I will
[11:45] lonetorus Habilis: only problem i can see is the shoe part that covers most of the foot becomes too small at the 2nd lod level, so the foot sticks through
[11:45] 2408 Alekseev: will this solve the problem?
[11:45] Simon Linden: So you might see the foot drawn instead of the shoe part, which should be covering it
[11:45] Techwolf Lupindo: Rex, that is the problem, using skulps to reduce the number of prims is causing the issues.
[11:45] Andrew Linden: In the case of this shoe... when the LOD's of the outer an inner parts don't match then the inner shows in front of the outer
[11:45] 2408 Alekseev: yes, exactely
[11:45] Simon Linden: Is that the kind of problem your customers are reporting?
[11:46] 2408 Alekseev: exactely
[11:46] Rex Cronon: try reducing the size o the soe
[11:46] Andrew Linden: 2408, you could probably optimize by making the inner foot part as small as possible or the outer part as larg as possible...
[11:46] Rex Cronon: sorry size of foot
[11:46] Latif Khalifa: have them yank up sclulptie LOD in settings
[11:46] Arawn Spitteler: How about Texturing the foot, to look like leather?
[11:46] Andrew Linden: separate the two surfaces as much as you can without destroying the look.
[11:46] 2408 Alekseev: not working...to play with dimmensions
[11:46] Bronson Blackadder: in reference to the sculpty toes... I not seen these toes before
[11:46] lonetorus Habilis: yes, you should make the outer part a "nano" sculpt so it is not affected by LOD so badly
[11:46] Xugu Madison: Is there any way of finding the creator of a texture applied to a prim without the original?
[11:47] lonetorus Habilis: that is, reduce the saturation of the sculpt map for the outer part
[11:47] 2408 Alekseev: can I delete it?
[11:47] 2408 Alekseev: thank you
[11:47] Andrew Linden: Xugu, no easy way, no. We have to rely on inventory meta data for the texture.
[11:47] 2408 Alekseev: I willand also look for the other sources of trouble
[11:47] Arawn Spitteler: Did weget a viewer update, in the past couple weeks?
[11:47] Andrew Linden: And there were some exploits that allowed peopel to upload fake inventory meta data.
[11:47] Rex Cronon: 2048. i think there might be a ay to ix it:)
[11:47] Xugu Madison: Thanks Andrew
[11:47] 2408 Alekseev: you mentioned
[11:47] Techwolf Lupindo: To fix this problem from the creater side, make sure the size of the object that the skupt is bing appleayed to is smaller then the object the skupt is bing apply too that covers it.
[11:47] Sahkolihaa Contepomi: Arawn - not that I know of.
[11:48] Sahkolihaa Contepomi: Only Snowglobe has been getting updates.
[11:48] Rex Cronon: might be a way to fix it:)
[11:48] Techwolf Lupindo: What is causing this issues is the foot is later then the boot.
[11:48] Sahkolihaa Contepomi: I think they're going straight to 2.0.
[11:48] Techwolf Lupindo: later=larger
[11:48] Andrew Linden: However, a statistical search could probably be used to narrow in on the real creators. It would be kinda complicated.
[11:48] Latif Khalifa: sculpties LOD degrate too fast in the viewer
[11:48] Latif Khalifa: you could try
[11:48] Latif Khalifa: Press ctrl+alt+shift+D to open an ANDVANCED menu options. Go to ANDVANCED--DEBUG SETTINGS. In opened window choose

"RenderVolumeLODFactor" and set value to 4.

[11:48] Andrew Linden: I was talking to another LL dev about that idea last week.
[11:48] Latif Khalifa: i get no noticable performance drop
[11:48] Latif Khalifa: and sculpties look nice
[11:48] lonetorus Habilis: and generally, dont sculpt things that wont be seen
[11:48] lonetorus Habilis: no need to sculpt a whole foot
[11:48] lonetorus Habilis: when only the front part is visible
[11:48] 2408 Alekseev: good pints, thanks you:)
[11:49] Sahkolihaa Contepomi: Actually
[11:49] Sahkolihaa Contepomi: 2 to 4 makes my framerate go from 14 to 12.
[11:49] Andrew Linden: Simon, could you save the transcripts from this meeting for me? I lost the first half.
[11:49] Sahkolihaa Contepomi: 15 to 12, sorry.
[11:49] Latif Khalifa: Sah, perhaps it depends on the hardware
[11:49] lonetorus Habilis: so, andrew, what do you suggest i do now?
[11:49] 2408 Alekseev: thank you all:)
[11:49] lonetorus Habilis: regarding email to im
[11:50] 2408 Alekseev: Now I know where to search at least
[11:50] Simon Linden: Sure, I'll send you a copy of what I have up to now to make sure we have it...
[11:50] Andrew Linden: lonetorus, remind me of the current status? You tried to change your email address. Did that work?
[11:50] 2408 Alekseev: have a great day...I go to lag somewhere else...adn thank you:)
[11:50] Rex Cronon: tc
[11:50] Latif Khalifa: take care 2408
[11:50] Simon Linden: Good luck!
[11:50] lonetorus Habilis: i chnaged my email, yes and that just queued the im's while i was offline
[11:50] Bronson Blackadder: lol
[11:50] lonetorus Habilis: so i received them when i logged in
[11:51] lonetorus Habilis: this is how its been all along
[11:51] 2408 Alekseev: thaaaanks
[11:51] Andrew Linden: lonetorus, I'll make a note and try to look into it, to see if I notice anything funny about your settings.
[11:52] lonetorus Habilis: i expected to receive them as emails and as queued, is that a correct assumption?
[11:52] Andrew Linden: But I can't do it right now. I've got another meeting coming up soon.
[11:52] lonetorus Habilis: great, should i do anything in jira?
[11:52] Andrew Linden: yes, they should be sent via email, and also seen when you login
[11:52] lonetorus Habilis: perhaps reference the internal one in a new jira
[11:52] Andrew Linden: er... that is the "Send offline IM via email" option.
[11:53] Latif Khalifa: Yes, Preferences -> Communication -> Send IM to Email
[11:53] Latif Khalifa: for lone, it has no effect
[11:53] lonetorus Habilis: (it has also been updated now, to my new email address)
[11:54] Andrew Linden: I'll have to dig into the database to see if that setting is really set right.
[11:54] lonetorus Habilis: okies, but do you want it in a jira too, as a reminder?
[11:54] Andrew Linden: According to the testimony today it sounds like it is being set.
[11:54] Latif Khalifa: seems to be account related, since his other account from the same compiter and the same client works fine
[11:54] Andrew Linden: lonetorus, don't jirafy it yet. I've got too many jiras. Just send me an email reminder andrew@ll
[11:55] lonetorus Habilis: okies, will do, thanks for looking into it
[11:55] office hours is almost over
[11:55] Devon Alderton: Thanks. interesting.
[11:56] Latif Khalifa: Simon, please fix the seat-showing-seaters-script-time in top scripts :)
[11:57] Latif Khalifa: http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-1669
[11:57] time is added to seat
[11:57] lonetorus Habilis: hehehe
[11:57] Andrew Linden: Actually, that bug has been fixed already by Squid Linden. I should be in server-1.36
[11:57] Latif Khalifa: ah, cool
[11:57] Simon Linden: Great! I haven't been able to work on bugs for a while
[11:57] Latif Khalifa: simon was having problems with it here, his seats were showing big scripts times
[11:57] Andrew Linden: Falcon Linden fixed the bug he was commenting on... something about collision events on child prims going to the root when scriptors thought they should not.
[11:57] Simon Linden: Hopefully will get some more time in December or next year ...
[11:58] Andrew Linden: He also fixed the same thing for touch events.
[11:58] Latif Khalifa: simon, still working on a project that shall not be mentioned? :D
[11:58] Arawn Spitteler: llPassCollisions?
[11:58] Andrew Linden: Too many jira numbers. I can't remember any except for SVC-22 and SVC-93.
[11:58] lonetorus Habilis: lol
[11:58] lonetorus Habilis: those are mportant too XD
[11:58] Questar Utu: Just want to point out, unless it's already been figured out, the script time addition is the fact that the av' is counted as a linked prim. :p
[11:58] Simon Linden: Yes, The Project That Must Not Be Named
[11:58] Simon Linden: ... which may or may not be in a server release soon
[11:59] Rex Cronon: INFORMATION OVERLOAD:)
[11:59] Andrew Linden: yeah, llPassCollisions() will take three values in the future: ALWAYS_PASS, NEVER_PASS, and something else.
[11:59] Andrew Linden: PASS_IF_HANDLED or something like that.
[11:59] Rex Cronon: ok. didn't mean to shout:)
[11:59] Latif Khalifa: i koow what it is, "since group chat is so slow and so hard on backend resources, we charge $L10 per line said in group chat" :P
[11:59] Andrew Linden: er... maybe it is reversed... NOT_ON_HANDLED... can't remember.
[11:59] Arawn Spitteler: PASS_IF_HANDLED and PASS_IFNOT_HANDLED?
[11:59] Bronson Blackadder: lol
[12:00] Andrew Linden: just one of the two Arawn.
[12:00] Latif Khalifa: simon, admit that's you sekrit project :P
[12:00] Simon Linden: I have to run .... thanks everyone for coming. I won't be here Thursday due to Thanksgiving
[12:00] Simon Linden: So see you next week...
[12:00] Thank you for coming to Linden office hours
[12:00] Questar Utu: See you. :o
[12:00] Andrew Linden: Simon, can you grab the transcripts please?
[12:00] Sahkolihaa Contepomi: See you. :o
[12:00] Simon Linden: Will od
[12:00] Simon Linden: do
[12:00] Arawn Spitteler: A PassOff function, for Money, Touch and Collision, would be a good idea
