Wiki Downtime

Is the downtime for 1 AM or 1 PM? -- Strife (talk|contribs) 11:39, 19 May 2009 (UTC)

Was curious about that too... It's AM according to the grid status. --Zai signature.png Lynch (talk|contribs) 13:13, 19 May 2009 (UTC)
Ahhh, in that case I'll be at work ^_^ ... x_x -- Strife (talk|contribs) 15:47, 19 May 2009 (UTC)
Oops, sorry about that. I figured that by zero-padding the hours it would hopefully be clear that I was using the 24-hour clock (or whatever the correct term is) but I'll be clearer next time. Thanks for pointing it out! Yoz Linden 18:23, 20 May 2009 (UTC)

Protection of Adult content article

00:20, 24 July 2009 Yoz Linden (Talk | contribs) protected "Adult content" [edit=sysop] (indefinite) [move=sysop] (indefinite) (Excessive spamming)

I suppose that you're just the executive force behind this, rather than the initiating one, though nevertheless I'm curious about your definition of "Excessive spamming". It appearently differs from mine...
In this context, I would like to point out that the article in its present form contains major (and meaningful!) contributions by Daniel and that the removal of content without any comment in neither the edit summary nor the related discussion page (as it was done by Nicole and now again by Maurice) is bad practice. Especially when the content isn't violating the Editing Guidelines as far as I can see it. You may consider it beeing rude by him to revert a Linden edit and I'm not really surprised about the outcome, though I'd think that the way it's dealt with is both, unconstructive and unprofessional, especially when you take into account that a behaviour like this is, what initially led to the creation of the wiki whichs link is now removed (see the backlog of adult content keywords for the history behind it).
Daniel has proven to be very communicative and responsive about his edits (e.g. Talk:Adult content) and also mentioned that he'd not object Linden Lab's authority in this wiki [1].
This speach might sound unappropriatly arrogating though that's not my intent. My intent is to raise awareness that communication before sanction might be a better practice than what we're experiencing here for quite some time. Sorry that this happened to be slammed on your talkpage. Maybe just bad timing... Could have written it at some other pages at other occassions though you've been the unlucky one to eventually catch it :-)
