Edit terrain tool

Changes the ground's shape and elevation. You can edit the terrain of land parcels you own or have been granted permission to edit.

Use the tool for fine control of the following effects by clicking and holding your mouse over a section of terrain. Adjust the Size and Strength sliders to fine-tune the tool's effect. Alternately, you can click Apply to apply any of the following effects to an entire selected area:

Select Land   Allows you to select an area of terrain by clicking and dragging a box on the ground. If you don't select a specific area, the entire parcel is selected (highlighted in yellow) by default.
Flatten   Flattens the selected area to make a level surface.
Raise   Raises the elevation of the selected area.
Lower   Lowers the elevation of the selected area.
Smooth   Smooths sharp elevation changes to create a natural slope.
Roughen   Creates uneven bumps in the land to simulate rough terrain.
Revert   Undoes terraforming based on the terrain's baked shape.

Parcel Information

Price   Lists the currently selected parcel's price and size.
About Land   Opens About Land, which contains detailed information about the currently selected parcel.
Show owners   Highlights land parcels in different colors depending on who owns them:
  • Green - Your land.
  • Aqua - Land owned by a group you're a member of.
  • Purple - Land in the auction system.
  • Red - Owned by others.

Modify Parcel

Subdivide   Splits the currently selected land into a separate parcel.
Join   Joins two parcels into a single parcel. To select more than one parcel, drag the selection box until it partially overlaps both (it's not necessary to completely select both parcels).

Land Transactions

Buy Land   Buy the currently selected parcel if it's for sale.
Abandon Land   Abandon the currently selected parcel if you don't want it anymore and don't wish to sell it. Most people would rather not do this.
