テクスチャはプリムの表面を覆って、その材質や外観を視覚的に表現するために使えます。また衣服や刺青の制作で用いたり、ノートカードの中に入れたりもできます。
テクスチャは in-world で有償/無償で入手です。また外部のグラフィック ソフトで作成したものを 1 画像あたり L$10 かけてアップロードすることも出来ます。
テクスチャは、インベントリの中でテクスチャ アイコン 
(スナップショットならば 
) で表示されます。
