Havok is a proprietary physics simulation software, which Linden Lab uses in Second Life to simulate physics, gravity, collisions and other in-world actions and interactions.

As of Spring 2011, Second Life is using on Havok7 in production, while the newer Havok2010 version is being tested on the Preview Grid.
