- [14:01] Gooden Uggla: hiya youri
- [14:01] Youri Ashton: hey davy
- [14:01] Gooden Uggla: hiya tech
- [14:01] Fisher Linden: Hey Youri
- [14:01] Alexa Linden: babmers is just on vacation
- [14:02] Alexa Linden: can't type today
- [14:02] Squirrel Wood: Dividing by zero does not produce a script error in mono - Mono just does it. :p
- [14:02] Ardy Lay: JIRA not loading. :-(
- [14:02] Davy Linden: First up: SVC-34[c
- [14:02] Youri Ashton: bambers deserves a vacations, isnt it? :)
- [14:02] Squirrel Wood: physical objects have always done that
- [14:02] Squirrel Wood: and its a good way to stop some idiot driving over people in a sandbox
- [14:02] Davy Linden: [1]
- [14:02] Alexa Linden: like clicking on their car to stop them?
- [14:02] Alexa Linden: lol
- [14:02] Squirrel Wood: disrupting the peace
- [14:03] Ardy Lay: Toataly destroys many boating activities.
- [14:03] Squirrel Wood: It always worked that way
- [14:03] Alexa Linden: Expected behavior
- [14:03] Yann Dufaux: scotts
- [14:03] Davy Linden: I think so, yes
- [14:03] Yann Dufaux: welcome
- [14:03] Alexa Linden: valid Adry
- [14:03] Youri Ashton: thats why i am for a offline sandbox squirrel, no more idiots harrasing you and no more crashes because the servers have a problem again :p
- [14:03] Scotts Winkler: hey davy, yann
- [14:03] [[User:JIRA-helper: [#SVC-34|JIRA-helper: [#SVC-34]]:
- [14:03] [[User:JIRA-helper: [#SVC-34|JIRA-helper: [#SVC-34]]:
- [14:03] Ardy Lay: I can't sail anywhere without people selecting my sailboat.
- [14:04] Yann Dufaux: Scotts is a crazy griefers LOL joke :p
- [14:04] Davy Linden: jira taking a while
- [14:04] Bug Triage: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-4805 - Dividing by zero does not produce a script error in mono
- [14:04] [[User:JIRA-helper: [#SVC-4805|JIRA-helper: [#SVC-4805]]:
- [14:04] Squirrel Wood: Youri, you will crash when logging on and your creation is transfered. :p
- [14:04] Squirrel Wood: Mono is just good enough to get the job done. It just divides by 0.
- [14:04] Squirrel Wood: ^^
- [14:05] Youri Ashton: wasnt speaking of scripting :)
- [14:05] Davy Linden: I don't see why it's a disadvantage to avoid an error
- [14:05] Squirrel Wood: ya. but division by zero you usually want to know about
- [14:05] Youri Ashton: was speaking of havinga offline sim, or multiple, that can be used to how ever the owner wishes
- [14:05] Davy Linden: It's not consistent, but I suspect it's expected behaviour
- [14:06] Alexa Linden: ok
- [14:06] Alexa Linden: hey Moon :)
- [14:06] Moon Metty: hi :)
- [14:06] Yann Dufaux: HEY MOON!! XXXX
- [14:06] Youri Ashton: hey moon :)
- [14:06] Moon Metty: sorry i'm a little late
- [14:06] Youri Ashton: hug moon :)
- [14:07] Bug Triage: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-4803 - During building, object returns to last position by itself.
- [14:07] [[User:JIRA-helper: [#SVC-4803|JIRA-helper: [#SVC-4803]]:
- [14:07] Yann Dufaux: aw, never see Fisher loll
- [14:07] Squirrel Wood: This happens when the sim is really busy (object reset. not just with position but also rotation, textures, ...)
- [14:07] Yann Dufaux: :(
- [14:07] Techwolf Lupindo: Division by 0 sould allway throw an error. It mean there is a problem in the code. The coder should check for a div by zero and do the aproperate thing depending on the script function.
- [14:07] Youri Ashton: close your mic x!
- [14:07] Yann Dufaux: wb Fisher*
- [14:07] Davy Linden: We don't use voice for these meeting - please stick to text
- [14:07] Squirrel Wood: [2]
- [14:07] Squirrel Wood: texture reverting video
- [14:07] xstorm Radek: *GIGGLES* :)~[14:08
- [14:08] Youri Ashton: During building, object returns to last position by itself. = this is done by the server itself, thanks to lag
- [14:08] Fisher Linden: thanks. :-)
- [14:08] xstorm Radek: eep
- [14:08] Youri Ashton: np :)
- [14:08] Alexa Linden: or if building under wrong group?
- [14:08] Youri Ashton: no alexa
- [14:08] Youri Ashton: just server
- [14:09] Moon Metty: Alexa it returns to a position in-world
- [14:09] Youri Ashton: i tested that on multiple viewers, all did the same. all in different rates tho
- [14:09] Moon Metty: not to inventory
- [14:09] Alexa Linden: aahh ok sorry
- [14:09] Moon Metty: i think of it as chatlag
- [14:09] Moon Metty: some update messages are old
- [14:09] Youri Ashton: when ever a item placed, and you place it on another spot, it may return to its orriginal possition
- [14:09] Scotts Winkler: youri tried it on emerald as well
- [14:09] Moon Metty: so it ends up in the wrong position
- [14:09] Moon Metty: i'm not sure though :)
- [14:10] Davy Linden: do we have enough to import this?
- [14:10] Youri Ashton: I have a feeling its just server related
- [14:10] Alexa Linden: can anyone add any additonal comments for import?
- [14:10] Squirrel Wood: points at youtube video. its for textures but the reason is likely the same
- [14:10] Youri Ashton: possibly asset server?
- [14:10] Youri Ashton: i can add my findings to it
- [14:10] Squirrel Wood: busy sim + dropped/lost packets
- [14:11] Ardy Lay: Probably related to IO blocking
- [14:11] Alexa Linden: importing for QA to look at
- [14:11] Davy Linden: kk
- [14:11] Bug Triage: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/WEB-1295 - Age verification page doesn't allow for 31 days in a month
- [14:11] [[User:JIRA-helper: [#WEB-1295|JIRA-helper: [#WEB-1295]]:
- [14:11] Squirrel Wood: position, rotation, torturing, texturing undoes on its own
- [14:11] Ardy Lay: Ther is a lot of IO blocking going on in the later server versions
- [14:11] Davy Linden: This should be oimported
- [14:11] Alexa Linden: done
- [14:11] Bug Triage: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-4794 - It is possible for a non-age-verified user to cam into an Adult sim from an adjacent non-Adult location
- [14:11] [[User:JIRA-helper: [#SVC-4794|JIRA-helper: [#SVC-4794]]:
- [14:12] Davy Linden: I'd need to check with someone, but I suspect this is expected behaviour
- [14:12] Squirrel Wood: ya.
- [14:12] Alexa Linden: I do too - I can ask Oskar and team
- [14:12] Davy Linden: ok
- [14:12] Bug Triage: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/WEB-1294 - Error in website text: "Manage your $L"
- [14:12] [[User:JIRA-helper: [#WEB-1294|JIRA-helper: [#WEB-1294]]:
- [14:12] Squirrel Wood: just like you can interact with stuff in such sims if you stand at the border.
- [14:13] Youri Ashton: this one is for the CT team
- [14:13] Gooden Uggla: PG to mature sims were always free to cvam in, that hasan't changed with the addition of adult
- [14:13] Moon Metty: Davy why don't you rez the updated jira helper, the old one is in the fire
- [14:13] Youri Ashton: Ramzi may need to change that little one, not that hard to change :)
- [14:14] Alexa Linden: importing then?
- [14:14] Youri Ashton: ill forward to Lexie
- [14:14] Davy Linden: moon, i know, but it's not mine
- [14:14] Moon Metty: ah ok
- [14:14] Squirrel Wood: besides, camera is client side. access control is server side.
- [14:14] Alexa Linden: want me to delete the one in the fire?
- [14:15] Davy Linden: does the L$ one repro for anyone?
- [14:15] Youri Ashton: done
- [14:15] Techwolf Lupindo: Easy fix, server checks to see if client requestiong object/texture data is allowed, if not, don't return anything for the cam.
- [14:15] Youri Ashton: forwared to lexie linden
- [14:15] Gooden Uggla: just a sec, i'll sell some lindens
- [14:15] Alexa Linden: We need to still import Youri
- [14:15] Moon Metty: gave you JIRA-helper.
- [14:15] Squirrel Wood: Teckie that'd add even more overhead to an already strained system
- [14:16] Davy Linden: oh - mow I see it
- [14:16] Alexa Linden: I'll import and send to the team
- [14:16] Davy Linden: now**
- [14:16] Bug Triage: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/WEB-1293 - Redirect Loop in SecondLife .com web login
- [14:16] [[User:JIRA-helper: [#WEB-1293|JIRA-helper: [#WEB-1293]]:
- [14:16] Gooden Uggla: yup, it repros
- [14:16] Techwolf Lupindo: Squirrel, nope the bit is allready set due to access controls of allowing the avatar there or not. Just check the same bit for oject request.
- [14:16] Alexa Linden: gooden, 1293?
- [14:16] Davy Linden: the previous (L$) one
- [14:17] Alexa Linden: ahh ok
- [14:17] Gooden Uggla: yes, the L$
- [14:17] Alexa Linden: thanks :)
- [14:17] Youri Ashton: website team should be able to fix this
- [14:17] Alexa Linden: importing
- [14:17] Davy Linden: kk
- [14:17] Bug Triage: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-15379 - Atmospheric shaders make the sun explode
- [14:17] [[User:JIRA-helper: [#VWR-15379|JIRA-helper: [#VWR-15379]]:
- [14:17] Youri Ashton: i have a feeling they simple forgot to change a link :)
- [14:17] Kaluura Boa: Hey, that's mine!
- [14:18] Youri Ashton: can happen to everyone
- [14:18] Liisa Runo: :D
- [14:18] Moon Metty: hehe
- [14:18] Gooden Uggla: wait, wew can have supernovas?
- [14:18] Squirrel Wood: have you updated your graphics drivers?
- [14:18] Gooden Uggla: i call that a feature!
- [14:18] Kaluura Boa: Sort of...
- [14:18] Alexa Linden: lol
- [14:18] Gooden Uggla: ducks
- [14:18] Youri Ashton: this is not driver related
- [14:18] Squirrel Wood: Also, you should take less of that LSD stuff :p
- [14:19] Kaluura Boa: With further experimentation, I found it's because my sky settings is set to low
- [14:19] Techwolf Lupindo: More technical fix. The client makes a seperate connections to neaiboring sim so it can fetch data to show the user, upon that connection, do the same check as though the avatar is logging there. Same retine I belive. If not adult verfied and adult sim, kill the connection. The client can handle disapreaing sims allready as there been a few bugs relating to that.
- [14:20] Gooden Uggla: in this case, the agent is a child agent, and there's no routine to disable that
- [14:20] Youri Ashton: could you do some more testing with this one Kaluura? could help a lot. do add your findings :)
- [14:20] Davy Linden: I'm lost. what does th sun have to do with child agents?
- [14:20] Techwolf Lupindo: Gooden, ah. In that case that is a bug that needs to be fixed.
- [14:21] Alexa Linden: nothing davy
- [14:21] Alexa Linden: lol
- [14:21] Alexa Linden: back to the sun issue
- [14:21] Kaluura Boa: 2 conversations at the same time...
- [14:21] Gooden Uggla: i'd rather not have the dev's fooling around with that, that's a potential nightmare
- [14:21] Techwolf Lupindo: [14:11

- [14:22] Bug Triage: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-15379 - Atmospheric shaders make the sun explode
- [14:22] [[User:JIRA-helper: [#VWR-15379|JIRA-helper: [#VWR-15379]]:
- [14:22] Davy Linden: that's the one we're on
- [14:22] Gooden Uggla: as for the linux sun thing, aren't there a bumcha bugs in linux windlight?
- [14:22] Yann Dufaux: hmm, need to test on oatmeal :D
- [14:22] Kaluura Boa: Nothing more to add. Low settings for the sky turn the sun into an hexagon
- [14:22] Melchizedek Blauvelt: not only is it possible to cam in, but also to move in (while sitting on a prim rezzed in a neighboring region)
- [14:22] Davy Linden: low setting s for ANY circle turns it into a hexagon
- [14:23] Moon Metty: mmyeah
- [14:23] Alexa Linden: agrees
- [14:23] Davy Linden: so expected behaviour, i think
- [14:23] Gooden Uggla: hmmm... lower settings, i missed that part
- [14:23] Kaluura Boa: Even the sun... That's weird...
- [14:23] Yann Dufaux: yeah Davy confirmed if i use the windlight setup*
- [14:23] Bug Triage: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-4784 - uploading single textures brings two copies to inventory and two charges on account
- [14:23] [[User:JIRA-helper: [#SVC-4784|JIRA-helper: [#SVC-4784]]:
- [14:23] Gooden Uggla: yup, it's weird, but expected
- [14:23] Youri Ashton: i see it as well Kaluura
- [14:23] Youri Ashton: so can not be drivers
- [14:23] Gooden Uggla: sorta like prim cocks on n00bs :)
- [14:24] Kaluura Boa: hehehehe
- [14:24] Youri Ashton: ill test later some and add pics
- [14:24] Gooden Uggla: confirmed, i see it too
- [14:24] Alexa Linden: I'd say NMI on this
- [14:24] Davy Linden: does not repro for me
- [14:24] Alexa Linden: I uploaded textures all weekend and no double charges
- [14:24] Yann Dufaux: nice snapshot , all information on this
- [14:25] Kaluura Boa: Never happened to me either
- [14:25] Gooden Uggla: set custom slider to low and turn on windlight
- [14:25] Youri Ashton: i have OpenGL vertex buffer objects turned off
- [14:25] Youri Ashton: that may be a issue
- [14:25] Alexa Linden: NMI or can't repro?
- [14:25] Moon Metty: could it be related to the double chat some peole see?
- [14:25] Alexa Linden: are they on wireless?
- [14:25] Youri Ashton: nope
- [14:25] Melchizedek Blauvelt: same here - I upload textures alll the time, never been double charged
- [14:25] Youri Ashton: wireless or not, this should not be visible
- [14:25] Techwolf Lupindo: Hi garn *tosses cookie)
- [14:25] Gooden Uggla: alexa, that was a temporary issue based on systemic problems
- [14:25] Garn Conover: curls up infrom of Alexa
- [14:26] Alexa Linden: Hey Garn :)
- [14:26] Youri Ashton: i actually see a 'pim' sun as well
- [14:26] Alexa Linden: ok I'm putting as can't repro then
- [14:26] Davy Linden: NMI this, I think - ask the usual questions
- [14:26] Gooden Uggla: if you emember march 2008 (ugh) it's happened before
- [14:26] Yann Dufaux: hi garn and wleocme
- [14:26] Alexa Linden: and contact support if it continues
- [14:26] Youri Ashton: ill add a repro later on

- [14:43] Morgaine Dinova: SL isn't built for any particular size of screen, that's silly
- [14:43] Davy Linden: I think this should be imported. The problem is, I'm not sure who at LL has a monitor that can handle that resolution
- [14:43] Youri Ashton: perhaps look into adding more screen resolutions?
- [14:43] Alexa Linden: importing then
- [14:43] Gooden Uggla: yes
- [14:43] Morgaine Dinova: Lots of people have higher resolutions.
