- [14:12] Poppy Linden: i'm working on judging rn, have been doing message system analysis and webservice pairing... i'm pretty much in the guts these days
- [14:12] Rob Linden: Q recently got a well-deserved promotion. he's now leading up a new Sustaining Engineering group which is, among other things, going to be looking at patches in a more systematic way
- [14:12] Poppy Linden: oh rad!
- [14:12] Poppy Linden: congrats Q!
- [14:13] Q Linden: Heh, thanks!
- [14:13] Aimee Trescothick: coool :)
- [14:13] Carjay McGinnis: sound cool
- [14:13] Carjay McGinnis: congrats
- [14:13] Carjay McGinnis: so that means even longer hours for you now?
- [14:13] Rob Linden: he has no two people in a single timezone, so weirder hours for sure :)
- [14:13] Q Linden: In particular, I'm hoping we'll be able to aggregate collections of similar issues so that we can benefit from reduced time in integration, testplan writing, and QA
- [14:14] Q Linden: We span 1/3 of the globe!
- [14:14] Aimee Trescothick: hexcellent :)
- [14:14] Carjay McGinnis: hehe
- [14:14] A group: member named Alexa Linden gave you LL NavHud 10.19.
- [14:15] Q Linden: Aimee, your ears might have been burning today - we were talking about aggregating input device stuff
- [14:15] Aimee Trescothick: lol
- [14:15] Aimee Trescothick: wondered why my hair was smoking :D
- [14:15] Q Linden: That's just poppy
- [14:15] Aimee Trescothick: LOL
- [14:15] Poppy Linden: it's really a cool flame.
- [14:16] Poppy Linden: doesn't burn too much...
- [14:16] Q Linden: Poppy's name IRL is Pons Fleischmann
- [14:16] Poppy Linden: get scripting ideas...
- [14:16] Poppy Linden: lol
- [14:17] Rob Linden: assuming it doesn't already exist, someone does need to come up with an ear attachment that burst into flames every time your nick is said in chat
- [14:17] Aimee Trescothick: LMAO
- [14:17] Q Linden: hah!
- [14:17] Rob Linden: dear lazyweb
- [14:17] Scotts Winkler: hi rob
- [14:17] Carjay McGinnis: hehe
- [14:17] Rob Linden: hi Scotts
- [14:17] Poppy Linden: the lazyweb is coming to *you* rob!
- [14:18] Scotts Winkler: thank you for that solution, password issue
- [14:18] Rob Linden: oh, no prob. we still haven't isolated a repro yet....may not be exclusively about password, though
- [14:19] Scotts Winkler: someone else had issue trying login to SL webpage
- [14:20] Aimee Trescothick: popped another SpaceNavigator patch in on the metaissue today btw if it's not been noticed
- [14:20] Rob Linden: so, you might have seen that Sue Linden has been mucking about with JIRA components. she did the first batch of changes last week, and by popular demand, has another batch in the works
- [14:21] Poppy Linden: is this a move toward lining up with the internal tracker?
- [14:21] Scotts Winkler: ask you something rob if may i
- [14:21] Rob Linden: what made me think of it was thinking about patch batching.....if there are component names that would be exceptionaly handy as a patch batching tool, get that request in
- [14:21] Rob Linden: looks up jira number
- [14:21] Rob Linden: Scotts, what's up?
- [14:22] Scotts Winkler: the problem with password, that both char with special char
- [14:22] Rob Linden: Poppy: well, not entirely....we rely on tags much more internally than we can with jira.secondlife.com
- [14:23] Rob Linden: component names: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/WEB-778
- [14:24] Carjay McGinnis: 4 components so far
- [14:24] Poppy Linden: rob, do tags not scale well?
- [14:24] Scotts Winkler: hello poppy
- [14:24] Scotts Winkler: soft :)
- [14:24] Poppy Linden: hello scott... scott... scotts.
- [14:24] Rob Linden: Poppy, correct. they're much too prone to abuse on a public tracker
- [14:25] Poppy Linden: for instance, the popular "buttslol" tag might not work so well in a public tracker? ;)
- [14:25] Rob Linden: yeah, you know, for example
- [14:25] Carjay McGinnis: lol
- [14:25] Rob Linden: Scotts: let's talk about password stuff after this.
- [14:26] Rob Linden: (after this meeting, I mean)
- [14:26] Scotts Winkler: ok :)
- [14:27] Q Linden: I have a competing appt starting in 2 min -- sorry. See you next week!
- [14:27] Carjay McGinnis: see you Q
- [14:27] Waya Sion: Greetings all
- [14:27] Rob Linden: bye Q
- [14:27] Scotts Winkler: see ya Q
- [14:27] Waya Sion: take care Q
- [14:29] Soft Linden: Forgive me if I'm totally mute here - detailing a pretty obnoxious issue a resi found
- [14:29] Carjay McGinnis: Hello Waya
- [14:29] Waya Sion: heya Carjay
- [14:29] Aimee Trescothick: that sounds fun, leak in the Nova Albion sewers?
- [14:29] Poppy Linden: soft, public?
- [14:29] Carjay McGinnis: Is the resident pretty, Soft?
- [14:30] Carjay McGinnis: see the latest entries on JIRA are all by Dzonatas concerning cmake
- [14:30] Carjay McGinnis: has the install.xml been fixed BTW? I didn't check the commits recently
- [14:30] Rob Linden: isn't sure
- [14:30] Poppy Linden: isn't sure :\
- [14:31] Carjay McGinnis: it's been broken for quite some time I think
- [14:33] Rob Linden: is there something in JIRA about that? (as I recal there was, but I don't remember)
- [14:33] Carjay McGinnis: somebody mentioned it on sldev and I assumed he/she would file a JIRA, hm
- [14:34] Rob Linden: yeah, if it's the one I replied to, I don't recall seeig a response, but I didn't keep an eye out for it
- [14:34] Rob Linden: queries "Source Code" component
- [14:35] Rob Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/secure/IssueNavigator.jspa?reset=true&&pid=10003&resolution=-1&component=10081&sorter/field=priority&sorter/order=DESC&sorter/field=created&sorter/order=DESC
- [14:35] Rob Linden: doesn't seem to be there, anyway
- [14:35] Soft Linden: I've had an internal issue filed for the Linden who put the bogus lines in. I'll check that and just manually hack those out for now if he's still not foudn time
- [14:36] Poppy Linden: is that me?
- [14:36] Poppy Linden: :P
- [14:36] Carjay McGinnis: ok, thanks
- [14:36] Soft Linden: Ha - no
- [14:37] Rob Linden: cool, thanks Soft
- [14:38] Rob Linden: while we're here, any super annoying things on that list above that we should bump the priority of?
- [14:38] Rob Linden: (the JIRA query on the source code component)
- [14:40] Rob Linden: yay, it's perfect! (that's the obvious conclusion) :)
- [14:41] Rob Linden: wow...tough crowd
- [14:41] Carjay McGinnis: yeah, looks fine
- [14:41] Aimee Trescothick: lol, just slow readers
- [14:41] Poppy Linden: and distracted readers ;)
- [14:42] Rob Linden: anything else that anyone wants to bring up here? I could use a little hippo judging time (Liana wants our ballots today)
- [14:42] Poppy Linden: same here
- [14:42] Poppy Linden: i have been doing that
- [14:42] Carjay McGinnis: no, looked at everything but can't find anything really pressing
- [14:43] Rob Linden: well, don't be bashful about pinging me on IRC. llrobla in #opensl on irc.efnet.org
- [14:43] Rob Linden: thanks for coming everyone!

- [14:44] Soft Linden: Be well!
- [14:44] Aimee Trescothick: hungry Waya? :D
- [14:44] Aimee Trescothick: hmm, an Open Source bear
- [14:44] Carjay McGinnis: what is that bear about?
- [14:45] Waya Sion: naa, my mother (disabled) needs help putting her bed back together and needs me to pick her up something on my way over LOL
- [14:45] Rob Linden: I do have a hippomobile, though. I should start giving that out
- [14:45] Aimee Trescothick: comes with a zip so you can examine the stuffing anytime you like?
- [14:45] Carjay McGinnis: I've been reading it all over the place but never got a explanation what that bear is
- [14:45] Waya Sion: hehehe well, there's a mold of sorts for the bear out that others use ;)
- [14:45] Waya Sion: anyway's i gotta run
- [14:45] Carjay McGinnis: see you Waya
- [14:45] Rob Linden: Scotts: did you want to talk about the password thing?
- [14:46] Scotts Winkler: sure, i know not priority
- [14:46] Poppy Linden: oh snap, sorry about that, didn't realize that would work
- [14:46] Carjay McGinnis: what was that?
- [14:47] Scotts Winkler: only occures >13 char mixed or even <13 char mixed
- [14:47] Rob Linden: when you say char mixed, what do you mean? upper/lower, or special chars?
- [14:47] Aimee Trescothick: hmm, someone called Nanduka Balogh seems to be closing issues for no reason
- [14:47] Scotts Winkler: i mean special chars
- [14:47] Carjay McGinnis: hm, I've seen some issues closed where I was unsure if it was really fixed
- [14:48] Aimee Trescothick: just noticed they've closed a couple of long standing valid issues today as contact support
- [14:48] Carjay McGinnis: but don't think it was closed by that person
- [14:48] Rob Linden: Alexa's dealing with it now
- [14:49] Aimee Trescothick: don't know if they've done any others, that's just a couple I was watching
