This is the meeting tracking and progress page for the weekly Server BETA QA Meeting, moderated by Caleb Linden. Please contact him on AGNI for more information. You can join the Second Life Beta group for updates.

Shiny status: Nothing to report

Coming soon:

  • DRTSIM-347
    • Last week we put out a fix for an issue that could cause the return of objects when a region restarted. This DRTSIM includes an additional check to make sure that bug won't happen again!

Coming back:

  • DRTSIM-343
    • Was removed from RC after residents raised concerns about losing their previous state of "Allow Public Access". To alleviate concerns of accidental change by landlord wiping out existing access settings on all parcels, we’re saving parcel setting until the region restarts. This means that while it won’t be saved permanently, it will be restored if the landlord removes their Ban Lines override. DRTSIM-343 will likely be back this week in testing, but may not have a corresponding viewer change yet.
  • DRTSIM-332
    • After careful consideration, we're making the new limits a default, rather than requiring intervention from Estate Managers (of course it is still possible to set limits lower using the region console or the current Maintenance viewer at http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Linden_Lab_Official:Alternate_Viewers ). As a result there's a new version on Aditi and we'll have an updated version for McRib soon.

Moving to Agni:

  • DRTSIM-323
    • This is the Simulator Operating System upgrade we've been working on for a while. Currently the RC is opt-in, if you're interested in opting in please contact Concierge support. We haven't seen any recent issues with the new OS and it's looking pretty stable, but bug reports are always appreciated.
  • We've upgraded the hardware for one of our inventory servers on Aditi. Almost all of you should be on it; please file a bug report if you notice _anything_ strange related to inventory; lag, failure to load, textures looking incorrect etc...

Open Items

  • BUG-41503 - Alpha is done. Beta testing starts today!
  • BUG-41220 - No update yet, Mazidox has action to take.
  • BUG-41364 - What was the consensus on what should happen? [2017-02-22: Issue has not been assigned internally, so we don't have a source of truth yet.]
  • How do we get more people interested in Aditi? - No update yet, needs to be talked out some more
