- [15:03] Yuu Nakamichi: Hello :)
- [15:03] Aric Linden: I'm your virtual bridie today
- [15:03] Daedalus Young: I see the resemblance
- [15:03] Aric Linden: my hair is MUCH better thank you
- [15:03] Torley Tester: Hahahaha.
- [15:03] Torley Tester: :D
- [15:04] Aric Linden: laughs
- [15:04] Daedalus Young: lol
- [15:04] Torley Tester: *cymbal crash*
- [15:04] Aric Linden: grins at torley
- [15:04] Aric Linden: pretty good, huh. I'll have to tell her about that one
- [15:04] Squirrel Wood: /ao off
- [15:04] Squirrel Wood: Hellos!
- [15:04] Aric Linden: so anyway, she's in the middle of something and asked if I'd host today
- [15:05] Squirrel Wood: just reported something that could be a serious issue on havok4...
- [15:05] Aric Linden: Let me get the agenda up
- [15:05] Alexa Linden: the first item is up on the Pjira spinner
- [15:05] Alexa Linden: VWR-4338
- [15:05] Aric Linden: ohoo coool. thanks alexa
- [15:05] Alexa Linden: Votes: 0 - Login > Not Responding, White Screen, Crashing, Unable to Connect to Login Server.
- [15:05] Squirrel Wood: Ha!
- [15:05] Squirrel Wood: I saw that white screen
- [15:06] Yuu Nakamichi: me too ;p
- [15:06] Squirrel Wood: like, yesterday or so
- [15:06] Yuu Nakamichi: nods
- [15:06] Torley Tester: Hmmm...
- [15:06] Kevin Paisley: been getting worse past 3 days...the white screen..never got that before :P
- [15:06] Torley Tester: I've had that a few times recently...
- [15:06] Torley Tester: but only on the web-auth login screen.
- [15:06] Mad Thunder: Combat HUD 1.7 shouts: JoeMama Houston has entered Tombstone!
- [15:06] Squirrel Wood: then again I also keep getting 503's on the sl forums
- [15:06] Torley Tester: Have you seen this with the main viewer?
- [15:07] Squirrel Wood: I saw it with windlight
- [15:07] Torley Tester: Squirrel: I've also seen those across the whole website, definitely known issue our webdevs & more are working on.
- [15:07] Alexa Linden: I got this yesterday when trying to login
- [15:07] Yuu Nakamichi: any viewer with the new login screen I think
- [15:07] Alexa Linden: big white screen of nada
- [15:07] Yuu Nakamichi: never with the traditional one
- [15:07] Squirrel Wood: web login... either never loads, shows "unable to connect", white-screens or takes 30-60 seconds to load
- [15:08] Yuu Nakamichi: nods
- [15:08] Aric Linden: this particular issue is a by product of a failed rollout yesterday
- [15:08] Yuu Nakamichi: it was intermittent yesterday
- [15:08] Aric Linden: yes
- [15:08] Yuu Nakamichi: ya
- [15:08] Aric Linden: It's now fixed
- [15:09] Aric Linden: We know about and are actively engaged in fixing the remaining login problems
- [15:09] Aric Linden: I'd prefer to resolve this with a note indicating that this was the result of update badness and has been fixed
- [15:09] Daedalus Young: sounds cool
- [15:09] Alexa Linden: ok
- [15:10] Alexa Linden: VWR-4262
- [15:10] Alexa Linden: Votes: 0 - while crossing a sim either sailing or flying I crash
- [15:10] Alexa Linden: not a new issue
- [15:10] Aric Linden: thinks alexa is working to break the landspeed record
- [15:10] Aric Linden: applauds
- [15:10] Torley Tester: Hahahaha.
- [15:11] Torley Tester: concurs with Alexa...
- [15:11] Squirrel Wood: speed... Mach3 :p
- [15:11] Alexa Linden: fast crossings can lead to crashes
- [15:11] Alexa Linden: lol exactly
- [15:11] Torley Tester: A lot of region crossing stuff on the Issue Tracker should be clumped together.
- [15:11] Aric Linden: yes
- [15:11] Alexa Linden: do you want me to link to ... ya
- [15:11] Alexa Linden: one of the other ones
- [15:11] Squirrel Wood: teleports in general seem to result in relogs today
- [15:11] Torley Tester: There's the really big one that "region crossings are sometimes slow"...
- [15:11] Aric Linden: and vehicles crossing boundaries in havok 1 can break
- [15:11] Torley Tester: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-472
- [15:12] Aric Linden: I think you might also ask that Tia check this when the region becomes havok4 enabled
- [15:12] Alexa Linden: ok
- [15:12] Alexa Linden: VWR-4364
- [15:13] Alexa Linden: Votes: 0 - When you click or left click (windows) on any area you crash
- [15:13] Torley Tester: Hmmm... seems like it happens frequently, but no other reporters/confirmers.
- [15:13] Aric Linden: this one is confusing
- [15:13] Alexa Linden: I'm not sure this is reproducable
- [15:13] Aric Linden: it references two different branches
- [15:13] Torley Tester: *nods to Alexa and Aric*
- [15:13] Alexa Linden: I tried this and didn't crash
- [15:13] Aric Linden: I'd like more details
- [15:13] Torley Tester: We need more info... e.g., if they sent crash logs, anyone else who's having a problem...
- [15:13] Aric Linden: jinx
- [15:14] Alexa Linden: ok
- [15:14] Alexa Linden: I'll request it
- [15:14] Torley Tester: I've heard some scant reports of "spontaneous crashes" but... not reproducible!
- [15:14] Torley Tester: Thanx. =)
- [15:14] Alexa Linden: VWR-4216
- [15:14] Alexa Linden: Votes: 0 - Mac Pro (early 2008) crashes Windlight & regular viewer
- [15:15] Aric Linden: let's take this and pass it to pastrami
- [15:15] Alexa Linden: ok :)
- [15:15] Torley Tester: Doesn't seem WL-specific but I wonder what's up... I know we still have Leopard multitexturing etc. probs with WindLight...
- [15:15] Yuu Nakamichi: can this be multi-core related?
- [15:16] Torley Tester: I'd suggest "drivers" but this is on a Mac, where there aren't such choices.
- [15:16] Torley Tester: I don't know Yuu...
- [15:16] Torley Tester: hard to say without more reporters on similar hardware.
- [15:16] Alexa Linden: next up is VWR-4384
- [15:17] Alexa Linden: Votes: 0 - Viewer Crashes As "Connecting to Region..."
- [15:17] Torley Tester: Not enough info here... does it crash with certain regions? All?
- [15:18] Torley Tester: Cache cleared? Etc.
- [15:18] Squirrel Wood: that one may be related to teleports failing
- [15:18] Aric Linden: um, platform
- [15:18] Squirrel Wood: when the progress bar moves really slooooow
- [15:18] Aric Linden: the bmp doesn't provide much eitehr
- [15:18] Aric Linden: eitehr
- [15:18] Aric Linden: either
- [15:18] Alexa Linden: ok - I'll post all questions to reporter
- [15:18] Torley Tester: Also a sidenote, a reminder to please attach images as JPG or PNG, not BMP (and yes, I put an info-notice in the "create an issue" form).
- [15:18] Alexa Linden: ok
- [15:19] Torley Tester: PNGs are lossless, smaller, and have the benefit of preview thumbnails.
- [15:19] Torley Tester: BMPs are sadly bloated!
- [15:19] Daedalus Young: JPEGs have previews too :D
- [15:19] Torley Tester: Yupyup.
- [15:19] Alexa Linden: will add to comments
- [15:19] Alexa Linden: next is VWR-4394
- [15:20] Alexa Linden: Votes: 0 - Crashes after a short time with Catalyst 7.12 and 8.1 on Radeon X1950
- [15:20] Torley Tester: For the time being we recommend using Catalyst 7.10.
- [15:20] Aric Linden: I'd suggest waiting until Sapphire responds
- [15:20] Torley Tester: BigPapi and Zen are working with ATI to get better graphics driver stability!
- [15:20] Daedalus Young: OSSM
- [15:20] Aric Linden: torley, did you see my note?
- [15:20] Aric Linden: thinks email is dead
- [15:21] Torley Tester: Eek, *checks*
- [15:21] Torley Tester: I saw one you sent 4 days ago Aric...
- [15:21] Aric Linden: laughs
- [15:21] Aric Linden: Nah. I just sent you something re the ATI
- [15:21] Torley Tester: The most recent one I saw from you today was about those FireGL V5200s!
- [15:21] Torley Tester: Oh was that it?
- [15:21] Aric Linden: yep
- [15:22] Torley Tester: K, thanx.
- [15:22] Alexa Linden: so is there anything I need to do with this jira?
- [15:22] Aric Linden: No, I don't think so myself
- [15:22] Alexa Linden: last triaged date then?
- [15:22] Aric Linden: you could comment that we recommend the 7.1 drivers
- [15:23] Aric Linden: yep
- [15:23] Torley Tester: Yes, recommend the 7.10 ones for the time being...
- [15:23] Alexa Linden: ok
- [15:23] Torley Tester: Thanks Alexa!
- [15:23] Alexa Linden: next is VWR-4333
- [15:23] Alexa Linden: Votes: 0 - When I first teleported to NOAA Virtual Island, it froze after a few seconds before continuing
- [15:23] Torley Tester: Ah yes... that's "normal".
- [15:23] Torley Tester: Happens anywhere there's intensive streaming media...
- [15:23] Alexa Linden: yup
- [15:24] Torley Tester: e.g., movie + music playing at the same time.
- [15:24] Alexa Linden: is this the one
- [15:24] Alexa Linden: ya
- [15:24] Alexa Linden: too much to upload all at one time
- [15:24] Torley Tester: I'd suggest "Won't Finish" (for the present) but that we are looking into better methods to optimize parcel media playback...
- [15:24] Torley Tester: I think some of this is dependent on QuickTime too.
- [15:24] Alexa Linden: ok
- [15:25] Alexa Linden: will mark as such
- [15:25] Torley Tester: Thx. :)
- [15:25] Torley Tester: Kewl burning horns BTW.
- [15:25] Alexa Linden: lol thanks
- [15:25] Alexa Linden: next we have VWR-4365
- [15:25] Alexa Linden: Votes: 0 - Clicking "Skip all skip next time dialogues" in preferences seems to clear all saved preferences on disk
- [15:25] Aric Linden: I'd love to get a repro of this one
- [15:25] Aric Linden: interesting if it's really a bug
- [15:25] Aric Linden: let's take it and assign to me please
- [15:25] Torley Tester: Hey, that one sounds like a dupe... !
- [15:25] Torley Tester: I remember seeing this one in a much hotter form.
- [15:26] Aric Linden: looks at torley
- [15:26] Alexa Linden: lol ok
- [15:26] Torley Tester: Lemme find it...
- [15:26] Alexa Linden: it's yours aric
- [15:26] Aric Linden: I don't remember this
- [15:26] Torley Tester: VWR-4015
- [15:26] Aric Linden: wonders about bugs being hot - maybe to other bugs?
- [15:26] Torley Tester: "Skip all dialogs" corrupts settings file and resets Preferences - https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-4015
- [15:26] Torley Tester: Haha.
- [15:26] Torley Tester: Internally it's assigned to Steve.
- [15:26] Celierra Darling: It's what happens when you shine magnifying glasses on them >.>
- [15:27] Alexa Linden: lol
- [15:27] Aric Linden: lol
- [15:27] Torley Tester: MY EYEEEES!
- [15:27] Torley Tester: ;)
- [15:27] Aric Linden: hehe
- [15:27] Aric Linden: so let's mark this one a dupe. I'm going to mark the other one as workingonit linden
- [15:28] Alexa Linden: ok
- [15:28] Aric Linden: Alexa, i've been going through pjira on my own (and with my team) and have amended the process a little. Let's hook up in the next or so and chat about it to see if it works for you
- [15:28] Aric Linden: ok?
- [15:28] Alexa Linden: sounds good :)
- [15:28] Torley Tester: Any details I need to know too? =)
- [15:28] Alexa Linden: next we have VWR-4309
- [15:29] Alexa Linden: otes: 0 - Crash after pointing mouse in the title bar during in world explorating
- [15:29] Torley Tester: Haha I like that word, "explorating"!
- [15:29] Alexa Linden: LOL
- [15:29] Alexa Linden: jinx
- [15:29] Torley Tester: I'm gonna do some explorating!
- [15:29] Torley Tester: *explorates*
- [15:29] Torley Tester: Seriously tho... nice there's a log but... I wonder if it happens *every* time to this person?
- [15:29] Torley Tester: Says "often" but... no one else has chimed in.
- [15:30] Celierra Darling: Weird - last line of the log is INFO: LLSDXMLParser::Impl::parse: XML_STATUS_ERROR parsing:HTTP/1.0 302 Moved Temporarily
- [15:30] Alexa Linden: no votes either
- [15:30] Torley Tester: Wonder if they're OK on the main viewer. And if it happens to 1.18.6 RC then it's not WL-specific so i'll remove WL.
- [15:30] Torley Tester: (When editing an issue, it says "ONLY select a "First Look" if this issue *ONLY* affects that version.")
- [15:30] Alexa Linden: thanks Torley
- [15:30] Torley Tester: =)
- [15:31] Aric Linden: I'd really like to know what version their using before taking this
- [15:31] Alexa Linden: ok - I'll ask
- [15:31] Alexa Linden: and add last triaged date
- [15:31] Aric Linden: thanks. If you look at the bottom of the crash log, you can see something fishy going on
- [15:31] Aric Linden: but I'd like a version before trying to repro
- [15:31] Alexa Linden: noted
- [15:32] Alexa Linden: next is SVC-1272
- [15:32] Alexa Linden: Votes: 21 - Boats Lower in Water in the Havok 4 Sims
- [15:32] Torley Tester: Lotta votes on that one.
- [15:32] Alexa Linden: yup
- [15:32] Torley Tester: Hmmm I wonder what Sidewinder, Andrew, and Simon said...
- [15:32] Torley Tester: if he already demo'ed this...
- [15:32] Yuu Nakamichi: nods
- [15:32] Torley Tester: seems obvious to import and assign to Sidewinder?
- [15:32] Alexa Linden: yup
- [15:33] Torley Tester: "Hey, remember this one... ahhhhh"
- [15:33] Alexa Linden: lol
- [15:33] Alexa Linden: noted
- [15:33] Torley Tester: It's a bit surreal, to hear that "boats are lower in the water"...
- [15:33] Torley Tester: that's Second Life for ya.
- [15:33] Alexa Linden: lol
- [15:33] Yuu Nakamichi: heh

- [15:35] Aric Linden: or Rx
- [15:35] Torley Tester: I saw this one ages ago...
- [15:35] Torley Tester: I think Concierge might've said something about it...
- [15:35] Torley Tester: *checks email*
- [15:35] Squirrel Wood: OMy. Are we heading for a new record today? ^^
- [15:35] Alexa Linden: do you have a preference between the two?

- [15:35] Alexa Linden: nope
- [15:36] Celierra Darling: New record? :p
- [15:36] Torley Tester: Hm no I don't see previous Concierge advice on this. Yeah, let's see what Jeff says... add Cyn and Jack as watchers I think.

- [15:37] Torley Tester: Hahaha.
- [15:37] Alexa Linden: done
- [15:37] Aric Linden: feels redundant today for some reason
- [15:37] Squirrel Wood: There is no spoon!
- [15:38] Alexa Linden: hahaha
- [15:38] Torley Tester: Aric: I don't think so, the solidarity is encouraging!
- [15:38] Torley Tester: :D
- [15:38] Torley Tester: Always feels better to get an informed second opinion.
- [15:38] Aric Linden: torley, agreed completely

- [15:39] Alexa Linden: Votes: 2 - Password reset doesn't work
- [15:39] Torley Tester: *notes Alexa's earlier comment*
- [15:39] Torley Tester: Latest comment, "The secret pet's name challenge successful/unsuccesful redirection is buggy atm, IMHO." That should be verified.
- [15:40] Alexa Linden: hahaa
- [15:40] Alexa Linden: I read that and laughed
- [15:40] Alexa Linden: this is older
- [15:40] Alexa Linden: I wonder if it's still a problem?
- [15:40] Torley Tester: Yeah I wonder too...
- [15:40] Torley Tester: I haven't heard recent complaints of it.
- [15:40] Celierra Darling: tries...

- [15:41] Alexa Linden: ya
- [15:41] Alexa Linden: waits for Celierra's response
- [15:41] Alexa Linden: in the mean time

- [15:43] Aric Linden: I think that's elmer bernstein
- [15:43] Torley Tester: Oh you're right Aric.
- [15:43] Torley Tester: Getting my Westerns mixed up.
- [15:43] Aric Linden: oh, with regard to the bug, let's take it and let web decide how they want to deal with it
- [15:43] Aric Linden: nods at torley - easy to do on that one too
- [15:43] Alexa Linden: ok
- [15:43] Squirrel Wood: Ha!
- [15:43] Celierra Darling: (Previous worked for me with "favorite book", going to see if changing the question will screw it up)
- [15:43] Squirrel Wood: The plus sign is allowed in mail addresses and there is no reason not to use it. A common usage is for defining sub-addresses. Example: The user 'joe' with the mail address 'joe@example.com' can set up mail addresses like 'joe+list@example.com' if he needs more then one address.
- [15:44] Torley Tester: Squirrel, I've tried that on Gmail before...
- [15:44] Squirrel Wood: [1]
- [15:44] Squirrel Wood: has a nice summary

- [15:46] Harleen Gretzky: Not on the web site anymore
- [15:46] Alexa Linden: thanks Harleen
- [15:47] Celierra Darling: Her chart seems to be current, if it's what I think it is: [2]
- [15:47] Torley Tester: Yeah that's from a long time ago.

- [15:49] Torley Tester: WL: CRASHER sounds like some kind of horror movie.
- [15:49] Torley Tester: Go Alexa go!
- [15:49] Alexa Linden: hahaaha
- [15:49] Alexa Linden: next up is SVC-1246
- [15:49] Alexa Linden: Votes: 0 - Caledon SteamSkyCity cannot be seen from rest of estate, can see rest of estate from inside but cannot fly out.
- [15:50] Torley Tester: IT STALKS YOU WHEN YOU SLEEP... *shkshkshk...* THE CRASHER.
- [15:50] Torley Tester: OK, looks like that should be assigned to Sidewinder and imported, priority to Critical.

- [15:50] Aric Linden: agreed
- [15:50] Alexa Linden: done - will do and flag after meeting
- [15:50] Torley Tester: Squirrel: Yeha, it's been awhile since I saw weirdness like that, but... that's so bizarre.
- [15:51] Torley Tester: I remember one time where I could cross one-way from one region into another but not go back over the border.
- [15:51] Torley Tester: It disappeared behind my back!
- [15:51] Alexa Linden: wow
- [15:51] Torley Tester: This was long ago in 2005, tho.
- [15:51] Torley Tester: (I could teleport back in, so yes, it was still up.)

- [15:52] Aric Linden: I'm a little surprised at the number of havok issues today
- [15:52] Torley Tester: Celierra, I don't think so. I remember being asked that many moons ago.
- [15:53] Squirrel Wood: I might have a critical one
- [15:53] Torley Tester: Celierra, I *think* it can be done over the phone if you verify your account info, but I'm not sure what the current policy is.

- [15:54] Alexa Linden: thanks Squirel
- [15:54] Harleen Gretzky: When the member owned it Share with group is checked, so they should be able to move it, correct?

- [15:56] Torley Tester: Yeah, it sounds like it's several possible WL bugs... including driver version problem...
- [15:56] Torley Tester: Hahaha, folks have wanted glowing/alpha avs for eons.

- [15:57] Torley Tester: and deck out all the bling in glow and particles I could find!
- [15:57] Celierra Darling: Glows have colors, though, right...? So not entirely white...? >.>
- [15:57] Squirrel Wood: you will need at LEAST 10,000 bling scripts then
- [15:57] Torley Tester: Celierra: Yeah, unless intensity is very high, then it could possibly seen as all-white.
- [15:57] Harleen Gretzky: It glows with the color of the prim
- [15:57] Torley Tester: Squirrel: LORD OF THE BLING!
- [15:57] Yuu Nakamichi: lawl
- [15:57] Squirrel Wood: I have actually seen people with over 2000 bling scripts in their avatars
- [15:58] Torley Tester: Glowing avs would be cool for those, "I'm reaching back from the light... I've come to bring you a message from the other side of avatar heaven!"
- [15:58] Alexa Linden: ouch
- [15:58] Squirrel Wood: a negative light would be nice to create shadows...
- [15:58] Torley Tester: Squirrel: I'd like to see one of those, photograph 'em, and then ask 'em to remove their excess blingage in the name of higher FPS!
- [15:58] Torley Tester: HA ha ha!
