- [15:11] Squirrel Wood: Mmmm. Crashes.
- [15:11] Nekololi Woodget: wb Birdie
- [15:11] Cummere Mayo: resists the urge to make the obvious comment abotu irony
- [15:12] Aimee Trescothick: I'm too small to carry it
- [15:12] Garn Conover: Bambers :)
- [15:12] Bridie Linden: i go boom
- [15:12] Lars Donardson: giggles..that's the best part
- [15:12] Cummere Mayo: welcoem back bridie
- [15:12] Alexa Linden: Hey Bambers and Aric
- [15:12] Bridie Linden: i'll try when we have a fix for that one....
- [15:12] Bridie Linden: sighs
- [15:12] Kaylee Hird: shouts: New to SL and looking for quiet beachfront property to build a house on? IM me for a tour.
- [15:12] Cummere Mayo: hello bambers
- [15:12] Bridie Linden: Shall we import 8033?
- [15:12] Bambers Linden: hi cummere
- [15:12] Squirrel Wood: OMy. shameless advertising...
- [15:13] Bridie Linden: Alexa has an offer for Kaylee...
- [15:13] Garn Conover: wonders if its ok to say thansk to Bambers computer for being able to repo his bug?
- [15:13] Aric Linden: looking to be muted?
- [15:13] Aric Linden: IM me for an opp?
- [15:13] Bridie Linden: Next up in a tie for first with one vote...
- [15:13] Cummere Mayo: lol want me to ask her to stop?
- [15:13] Bridie Linden: VWR-7750[c
- [15:13] Bridie Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-7750
- [15:14] Bambers Linden: wireless?
- [15:14] Garn Conover: Ramzi has an eye on this one it looks like
- [15:14] Squirrel Wood: I have seen this with other avatars... they would not rez at all until I left the area (fly up 200+m), wait a few seconds, then return.
- [15:14] Gellan Glenelg: this doesn't sound new to me... used to happen occasionally with staying ruthed forever... now it's cloud forever
- [15:14] Bambers Linden: ah
- [15:15] Aimee Trescothick: yeah, age old problem hidden with smoke (but no mirrors)
- [15:15] Cummere Mayo: ive seen it happen. so far as i know my avi hasnt done it. but then again for all i knwo i might be a cloud to all of you
- [15:15] Garn Conover: hehe
- [15:15] Al Sonic: Heh, I may have recently had a building do similar.
- [15:15] Garn Conover: Ramzi thinks its somethig nt odo w/ Vista if i read their comment right
- [15:16] Connie Darcy: ive never seen it, not using vista
- [15:16] Bridie Linden: Looks like we should leave it open...
- [15:16] Bridie Linden: Bambers / Aric?
- [15:16] Bambers Linden: using vista, have seen it
- [15:16] Aimee Trescothick: have they tried the edit appearance work around?
- [15:16] Nekololi Woodget: some people never rez to me (WinXP) but I think it's an old thing, justwith clouds instead of Ruths
- [15:16] Aimee Trescothick: still not rez?
- [15:16] Squirrel Wood: at what time does it happen? peak concurrency?
- [15:17] Bridie Linden: Good q Squirrel
- [15:17] Alexa Linden: I see people that never rez a lot in shops but it happens all times of day
- [15:17] Bridie Linden: And Bambers asked if the Resi is on wireless...
- [15:17] Squirrel Wood: I would assume that could play a role there too... when the asset server is on high load..
- [15:17] Lars Donardson: same..tp somewhere...avatar does not update clothing or shape despite edit appearance..relog and it's there
- [15:18] Cummere Mayo: ive seen it on xp too and it seems for me kinda like whenever the serivces get slwo it gets mor frequent.
- [15:18] Garn Conover: prbly are Bots Alexa lol
- [15:18] Bridie Linden: Well, I don't think that this issue is very actionable...
- [15:18] Nekololi Woodget: the people that rez slow to me tend to have low end computers/connections
- [15:18] Squirrel Wood: needs more info
- [15:18] Alexa Linden: mark with last triaged date?
- [15:18] Garn Conover: id almost close
- [15:19] Bridie Linden: We can see if we can gather more info
- [15:19] Gellan Glenelg: Ramzi says "
- This is a somewhat often bug that we are aware of" ... so is it a dupe of an already=impotred?
- [15:19] Cummere Mayo: ild rather say needs mroe info, and leave open tbh
- [15:19] Garn Conover: mark triage, close and note reopen if still an issue?.. or just more info
- [15:19] Lars Donardson: case of prozak for database ;)
- [15:19] Bridie Linden: I think NMI for now...
- [15:19] Bridie Linden: I'll ping ramzi on it later
- [15:19] Alexa Linden: I'd mark LT and then ask for more info
- [15:19] Bridie Linden: Moving right along...
- [15:19] Bridie Linden: VWR-6366[c
- [15:20] Garn Conover: thumps his tail and leans into the scratch
- [15:20] Bridie Linden: And gold sarts for Harleen convering attachment on last issue
- [15:20] Bridie Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-6366
- [15:20] Harleen Gretzky: :)
- [15:21] Nekololi Woodget: oh this happened to me also, when I had a working headset
- [15:21] Cummere Mayo: uh that might actually be more an issue with windows itself
- [15:21] Bridie Linden: Have others notices this one?
- [15:21] Aric Linden: my reaction to this one is a resounding "So?"
- [15:21] Nekololi Woodget: yes, I think it was windows, it wasn't just sl at least
- [15:21] Aric Linden: I've been doing audio on computers for over 20 years, this has nothing to do with SL
- [15:21] Squirrel Wood: different usb port?
- [15:21] Bridie Linden: 'won't fix'?
- [15:22] Alexa Linden: agreed Aric
- [15:22] Cummere Mayo: windows itself does not normally recognize usb audio devices as a default controller.
- [15:22] Squirrel Wood: I know that Steam always picks the wrong mic input on my system
- [15:22] Alexa Linden: hahaha
- [15:22] Bambers Linden: and plantronics often use C-Media dongles that are not auto-detected as an audio device
- [15:22] Squirrel Wood: and there is no way to tell it which one to use :p
- [15:22] Bambers Linden: (*used)
- [15:23] Cummere Mayo: personally ild clsoe it and say this si a windows issue not an sl one
- [15:23] Bridie Linden: nods
- [15:23] Cummere Mayo: *is
- [15:23] Alexa Linden: misfiled?
- [15:24] Bridie Linden: Gold sarts to Cummere
- [15:24] Aric Linden: talk to the hand?
- [15:24] Alexa Linden: lol
- [15:24] Bridie Linden: :)
- [15:24] Bridie Linden: next up
- [15:24] Bridie Linden: # VWR-6404[c
- [15:24] Al Sonic: starts wondering what sarts are...
- [15:24] Cummere Mayo: i dotn get what they mean by damage control
- [15:24] Alexa Linden: a gold star
- [15:24] Bridie Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-6404
- [15:24] Alexa Linden: mispelled :P
- [15:24] Squirrel Wood: modal dialog.
- [15:25] Bridie Linden: Nice screen shot Gellan
- [15:25] Nekololi Woodget: happens with all open file windows. like upload image
- [15:25] Bridie Linden: Looks like when you win solitaire
- [15:25] Gellan Glenelg: hehe ty
- [15:25] Cummere Mayo: graphics driver issue or maybe ssytem resource issue?
- [15:25] Aimee Trescothick: it's the abstract art easter egg
- [15:25] Squirrel Wood: Its a modal dialog. the application is "sleeping" until that dialog is closed
- [15:26] Alexa Linden: lol
- [15:26] Gellan Glenelg: you're right nekololi
- [15:26] Al Sonic: Heh, yeah, Open kinda stuff just always does that.
- [15:26] Bridie Linden: On Xp only?
- [15:26] Squirrel Wood: winbugs issue. not sl.
- [15:26] Nekololi Woodget: WinXP here
- [15:26] Gellan Glenelg: i'm on XP
- [15:26] Cummere Mayo: im on xp S*rhugs* jsut never cared that that happened
- [15:26] Nekololi Woodget: I don't really se it as an issue, how long do you have these windows open?
- [15:26] Aric Linden: could be simply a redraw issue in low memory situations too
- [15:26] Al Sonic: (Which is unfortunate if I ever try to Open anything on my laptop, as it's hard to do so before SL disconnects.)
- [15:27] Connie Darcy: always does that with any window moved on xp
- [15:27] Cummere Mayo: soon as i lcsoed the box it dissapeared. and i have noticed it since i got a new card
- [15:27] Gellan Glenelg: i'd never noticed it before i saw that bug 30 mins ago
- [15:27] Bambers Linden: this is def an issue
- [15:27] Bridie Linden: I'd import, but maybe lower priority?
- [15:27] Bambers Linden: but as for importance, that's hard to say
- [15:27] Aric Linden: but i think if you give it time for the refresh update problem goes away
- [15:27] Alexa Linden: assign to?
- [15:27] Aric Linden: I disagree
- [15:27] Aimee Trescothick: vaguely remembers there being an issue that the viewer used to disconnect if you left the dialog open too long this is small fry :D
- [15:27] Aric Linden: I don't think it's much of an issue
- [15:27] Nekololi Woodget: nope, does not refresh at all
- [15:27] Bambers Linden: if you leave the window open for >90 secs, you get a silent disconnect
- [15:28] Gellan Glenelg: I think is still does aimee
- [15:28] Nekololi Woodget: but not a problem really
- [15:28] Aric Linden: ahh
- [15:28] Aimee Trescothick: ah right
- [15:28] Squirrel Wood: I have seen this only happen with modal dialogs. the ones that require your attention. nonmodal dialogs don't cause such things to happen, allow people to interrupt the designed workflow though.
- [15:28] Aimee Trescothick: thought that had been fixed, guess not
- [15:28] Al Sonic: Yyup. Disconnect.
- [15:28] Aric Linden: if it disconnects that's different
- [15:28] Bridie Linden: Let's import...bambers can you comment?
- [15:28] Aric Linden: import and pass to steve or whoever does that tirage now
- [15:28] Gellan Glenelg: hmm.. i remember reproing the disconnect one... lemme try to find it
- [15:28] Bambers Linden: and silent - you only notice because you can't move and your minimap goes pink
- [15:28] Alexa Linden: ok
- [15:28] Cummere Mayo: I get a disconenct if i try to uplaod multiple files, or if i upload a file and it fails. every time. but thats a known issue *shrugs*
- [15:28] Bridie Linden: ty
- [15:29] Bridie Linden: Next up
- [15:29] Bridie Linden: VWR-6413[c
- [15:29] Aimee Trescothick: yeah, I guess it's really a dupe of the disconnect one, they're just not waiting long enough
- [15:29] Bridie Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-6413
- [15:29] Bambers Linden: (it's rarely seen because most users take <90b seconds to find a gfile. I lose stuff all the time...)
- [15:29] Gellan Glenelg: The disconnect issue is https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-7535
- [15:30] Nekololi Woodget: I've gotten this before too, at least I think I get the same thing as what's beign described here, but it's a lot less of a problem in newer clients
- [15:30] Cummere Mayo: thank gellan
- [15:30] Bridie Linden: Thx Gellan
- [15:30] Aimee Trescothick: mm, that's relatively recent, think there's an older one than that somewhere ...
- [15:30] Bambers Linden: brb - relog
- [15:30] Connie Darcy: ive had this happen often - since i last updated my nvidia drivers
- [15:31] Bridie Linden: 7355 is already imported
- [15:31] Gellan Glenelg: yeah
- [15:31] Al Sonic: Need to tie these various Windows dialog box issues together.
- [15:31] Squirrel Wood: /
- [15:31] Bridie Linden: nods to Al
- [15:32] Squirrel Wood: When I use 16x fsaa, every 2nd line of text on my screen is blurred... but I guess that's a different issue
- [15:32] Zen Linden: 16x, wow. that's gotta be slow
- [15:32] Squirrel Wood: I generally avoid using fsaa :p
- [15:32] Squirrel Wood: and just did use 16x once to test something
- [15:33] Cummere Mayo: yeah the 16x fsaa and wsaa are way messed
- [15:33] Gellan Glenelg: squirrel,. that#'s VWR-6423... later in the list
- [15:33] Harleen Gretzky: has no problems with 16x
- [15:33] Cummere Mayo: ok back to the text jumping bug?
- [15:33] Squirrel Wood: Ye. but the description on the text jumping issue is a bit unclear.. could also mean that issue methinks.
- [15:34] Connie Darcy: looked at it, deicded its a bad idea to use it & never did...
- [15:34] Bridie Linden: isn't sure either
- [15:34] Nekololi Woodget: the description is unclear
- [15:34] Bridie Linden: Any volunteers to follow up with Tillie?
- [15:34] Cummere Mayo: i think a nmi tag is in order
- [15:34] Bridie Linden: (reporter for 6413)

- [15:35] Bridie Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-6412
- [15:35] Gellan Glenelg: I wasn't able to repro this
- [15:36] Nekololi Woodget: I just tried it, no repro
- [15:36] Bridie Linden: I haven't seen this either...
- [15:36] Cummere Mayo: [15:36
- [15:36] Squirrel Wood: cannot repro
- [15:36] Bridie Linden: nods
- [15:36] Gellan Glenelg: page up/down move just less than one page for me
- [15:36] Cummere Mayo: anything else i should add ?
- [15:36] Bridie Linden: looks good Cummere
- [15:37] Gellan Glenelg: torley would ask for video repro
- [15:37] Garn Conover: i actually repo'd it there.. dunno how tho
- [15:37] Bridie Linden: 6412 should be resolved 'can't repro', try with latest RC?
