- [12:05] Bridie Linden: Today's agenda ^^^
- [12:05] Bridie Linden: grins
- [12:06] Bridie Linden: Shall we dive in?
- [12:06] Squirrel Wood: that agenda scares me....
- [12:06] Alexa Linden: DIVE! DIVE!
- [12:06] Bridie Linden: I'll try and be as gracious a host as Aric...
- [12:06] Squirrel Wood: almost. :p
- [12:06] Bridie Linden: but alas, my alliteration is not all that...
- [12:06] Bridie Linden: Ok, w/35 votes we have...
- [12:06] Bridie Linden: SVC-2604[c
- [12:06] Bridie Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-2604
- [12:07] Lars Donardson: nuffing scares me after using RC13 Squirrel :D
- [12:07] Alexa Linden: Last Triaged: 07/Jul/08 03:31 PM
- [12:07] Bridie Linden: Ah yes
- [12:07] Alexa Linden: we did get more info
- [12:08] Bridie Linden: There are newer comments
- [12:08] Bridie Linden: jinx
- [12:08] Alexa Linden: sart!
- [12:08] Bridie Linden: longgg comments!
- [12:08] Bridie Linden: reads
- [12:08] Soft Linden: Which are we on?
- [12:08] Alexa Linden: svc-2304
- [12:08] Alexa Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-2604
- [12:09] Bridie Linden: hiya Soft
- [12:09] Harleen Gretzky: Reproduces for me but seems it will be tough to track down
- [12:09] Bridie Linden: wonders what happens since we rolled back to 1.22.4 over the weekend
- [12:09] Bridie Linden: "I am seeing the same problem with my sim monitoring system. The previous server version to 1.22.4 had the problem crop up but a restart of the sim fixed it. Now a sim restart does not fix the issue and more sims are returning as "unavailable"."
- [12:09] Harleen Gretzky: Sims I was trying it on were never updated
- [12:10] Bridie Linden: odd numbered sim then Harleen :)
- [12:10] Bridie Linden: Any thoughts Soft?
- [12:10] Bridie Linden: Looks like we should investigate
- [12:10] Bridie Linden: But as Harleen said, possibly tough to track down
- [12:10] Squirrel Wood: pokes the anchorbun :p
- [12:11] Soft Linden: Looking over that. We should import and push it over to QA
- [12:11] Alexa Linden: ok
- [12:11] Bridie Linden: nods
- [12:11] Bridie Linden: ty
- [12:11] Soft Linden: I'll add a note also asking for an exact time and location of a failure - we may be able to find something in the server log
- [12:11] Bridie Linden: True
- [12:11] Bridie Linden: Ok, moving right along
- [12:11] Bridie Linden: VWR-1402[c
- [12:11] Bridie Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-1402
- [12:12] Aimee Trescothick: workaround: politely request them to renounce satan
- [12:12] Bridie Linden: lol
- [12:12] Harleen Gretzky: lol
- [12:12] Bridie Linden: "Still happening, no repro, though. In my case rebake fixed it.
- "
- [12:12] Soft Linden: On the last one, Homer's comment may actually be enough - it's fairly new. Alexa, on the imported issue would you comment to check https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-2604?focusedCommentId=68673#action_68673 ?
- [12:12] Bridie Linden: We need to add that resolution state Aimee
- [12:12] Alexa Linden: ok
- [12:12] Aimee Trescothick: :D
- [12:13] Squirrel Wood: I has black eyes :p
- [12:13] Alexa Linden: this seems to still be a totally radom thing
- [12:13] Bridie Linden: looks @ change history in PJIRA for this one...
- [12:13] Alexa Linden: I get it once every blue moon and rebaking fixes it
- [12:13] Bridie Linden: Right
- [12:13] Squirrel Wood: secondary monitor ?
- [12:13] Alexa Linden: nope
- [12:14] Alexa Linden: not for me anyway
- [12:14] Bridie Linden: Should we re-close, but try and ping Beezle inworld about it?
- [12:14] Alexa Linden: sure
- [12:14] Soft Linden: I'm not seeing anything like a repro :/
- [12:14] Ellla McMahon: not for me either, I had it but just bought a new set of eyes :) now i can't repro with the old set :(
- [12:14] Bridie Linden: that'd be great
- [12:15] Gellan Glenelg: hmm. it was closed/NMI, then reopened w/o any further info
- [12:15] Bridie Linden: of course not Ellla
- [12:15] Aimee Trescothick: wonders if Beezle is short for Beelzebub
- [12:15] Alexa Linden: nooooo
- [12:15] Soft Linden: The only black texture issue I know of involves people with a second monitor on their video card, and having the viewer there when teleporting/logging in. Are any of you experiencing it under different circumstances?
- [12:15] Alexa Linden: lol
- [12:15] Bridie Linden: coincidence??!
- [12:15] Alexa Linden: hahaha
- [12:15] Bridie Linden: loves a conspiracy theory
- [12:15] Alexa Linden: Me soft
- [12:15] Alexa Linden: I have only one monitor at work and home
- [12:15] Alexa Linden: and I've still had this randomly
- [12:15] Bridie Linden: So you have 2 monitors Alexa!
- [12:15] Bridie Linden: :P
- [12:15] Alexa Linden: no way to repro
- [12:15] Soft Linden: How frustrating!
- [12:16] Alexa Linden: pfft
- [12:16] Alexa Linden: lol
- [12:16] Bridie Linden: grins
- [12:16] Lars Donardson: <. had anuther smart heap "fast exit" O_o
- [12:16] Bridie Linden: wb Lars
- [12:16] Bridie Linden: Next up
- [12:16] Bridie Linden: VWR-1740[c
- [12:16] Soft Linden: What was the decision on the last?
- [12:16] Bridie Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-1740
- [12:16] Alexa Linden: I'll ping beezle soft
- [12:16] Bridie Linden: resolve it again,c ontact beezle
- [12:16] Soft Linden: thumbsup
- [12:17] Bridie Linden: looks @ Soft
- [12:17] Bridie Linden: TP issue
- [12:17] Bridie Linden: have you noticed this in all of your investigation Soft (with svc-972)?
- [12:18] Soft Linden: No, but I don't watch memory use when doing that.
- [12:18] Soft Linden: Steve's fix for the pauses should have had an impact on this as well. I know animation data was leaking like mad before...
- [12:18] Bridie Linden: Yes, true, should be better with 1.20
- [12:19] Harleen Gretzky: Wouldn't this be expected, more avatars, more memory the viewer needs to render things
- [12:19] Gellan Glenelg: hmm. I'm not convinced that "memory leak in 1.17.1" and "memory leak in RC13" are going to be the same issue
- [12:19] Bridie Linden: But focus on memory issues is still in the works...
- [12:19] Soft Linden: Looking at the related issues to see if any dupe this
- [12:19] Bridie Linden: is tempted to ask for 1.20 results
- [12:20] Bridie Linden: Any other thoughts/comments?
- [12:20] Gellan Glenelg: soft, https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-2477 seems to have more info / relevant to 1.20
- [12:20] Soft Linden: Bridie: I think that makes sense. Ask for a description of where they were teleporting and some numbers for memory at each step.
- [12:20] Bridie Linden: nods
- [12:21] Alexa Linden: ok
- [12:21] Alexa Linden: NMI with those questions?
- [12:21] Bridie Linden: nods
- [12:21] Alexa Linden: k
- [12:21] Soft Linden: Yes. It's not clear to me whether the RC13 commentor is asking if it's fixed, or saying it isn't.
- [12:21] Bridie Linden: It's always funny to me to find comments I left > year ago...
- [12:22] Bridie Linden: Shall we jump into the Misc Pool?
- [12:22] Squirrel Wood: head first :p
- [12:22] Alexa Linden: tests the water with her toe
- [12:22] Soft Linden: Gellan - I don't see much on 2477 related to teleporting. I wouldn't mark it as a dupe of that.
- [12:22] Gellan Glenelg: ok
- [12:22] Bridie Linden: needs splash sound
- [12:23] Bridie Linden: First up, off the 3 meter board:
- [12:23] Bridie Linden: VWR-8105[c
- [12:23] Alexa Linden: hahahaha
- [12:23] Bridie Linden: VWR-8105[c
- [12:23] Bridie Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-8105
- [12:23] Soft Linden: I'd last-triaged this and move on. They want the rolloff for looping sounds to change. That would result in a lot of existing content suddenly becoming VERY LOUD.
- [12:23] Squirrel Wood: too low? I usually find people complaining that I am too loud :p
- [12:23] Aimee Trescothick: personal preference
- [12:23] Alexa Linden: same
- [12:23] Bridie Linden: nods
- [12:24] Aimee Trescothick: yeah, never going to suit everyone
- [12:24] Soft Linden: Not you - just looping sounds, Squirrel :)
- [12:24] Ellla McMahon: LOL I turn mine off !
- [12:24] Alexa Linden: would this be a won't fix?
- [12:24] Bridie Linden: resolve 'renounce satan and loud volumes'
- [12:24] Aimee Trescothick: ROFL
- [12:24] Gellan Glenelg: they're always too loud for me
- [12:24] Lars Donardson: nod nods
- [12:24] Alexa Linden: me too
- [12:24] Aimee Trescothick: tell the to spend a while in Nova Albion and then reopen if they still want it :P
- [12:24] Bridie Linden: WHAT?
- [12:24] Gellan Glenelg: once you've heard a 10 second loop 500 times..... !
- [12:24] Bridie Linden: lol
- [12:24] Bridie Linden: Next up...
- [12:25] Bridie Linden: VWR-8094[c
- [12:25] Soft Linden: If it changed, all these wave sounds placed at intervals along shorelines, etc would suddenly become unbearable. You know how it works when you get two sounds playing just out of sync?
- [12:25] Bridie Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-8094
- [12:25] Alexa Linden: hahahahaha
- [12:25] Soft Linden: The proposal here is to -disable- that ability.
- [12:25] Aimee Trescothick: that sounds morea feature than a bug :P
- [12:25] Bridie Linden: 'You should not be able to mute a linden, you can if they have voice and feature in the active speakers list.
- Amusing, minor glitch :) '
- [12:26] Soft Linden: Hmm...
- [12:26] Soft Linden: Checking...
- [12:26] Lars Donardson: hehe...an improvement?
- [12:26] Squirrel Wood: Technically you Lindens are the law.
- [12:26] Gellan Glenelg: mute is greyed out on pie menu if linden's nametag is clicked.. so would be consistent
- [12:26] Lars Donardson: snickers
- [12:26] Harleen Gretzky: Using Public Nightly here, for all Lindens "Mute Text" is grayed out for me
- [12:26] Soft Linden: Okay, this is a bug
- [12:26] Harleen Gretzky: I cannot
- [12:26] Squirrel Wood: Yep
- [12:27] Aimee Trescothick: can turn your volume down? is that what they really mean?
- [12:27] Gellan Glenelg: yeah - click the speaker icon - you're muted
- [12:27] Soft Linden: The UI isn't supposed to allow muting Lindens. But if I mute Bridie from there, she goes on my global mute list.
- [12:27] Gellan Glenelg: and show as (muted) above your head
- [12:27] Aimee Trescothick: ah yes
- [12:27] Soft Linden: I had to. You're VERY LOUD D:
- [12:27] Alexa Linden: cries in the corner
- [12:27] Harleen Gretzky: I can mute your voice but not your text
- [12:27] Alexa Linden: hater!
- [12:27] Soft Linden: Bridie, could you say something?
- [12:28] Soft Linden: And someone else let me know when Bridie has spoken.
- [12:28] Aimee Trescothick: wonders if anyone can her Alexa crying in the corner now they all muted her lol
- [12:28] Nya Linden: she has spoken
- [12:28] Soft Linden: The visual muting is working on her at least.
- [12:28] Soft Linden: And I did not hear her.
- [12:28] Soft Linden: Yeah, this is a bug.
- [12:28] Soft Linden: I'll real quick edit the title to make this more clear, then it should be imported.
- [12:28] Bridie Linden: Coolio, let us import
- [12:28] Bridie Linden: ty Soft
- [12:28] Squirrel Wood: gave you AlexaMuted.
- [12:28] Bridie Linden: Moving on...
- [12:28] Bridie Linden: VWR-6181[c
- [12:28] Alexa Linden: lol thanks Squirrel!
- [12:28] Squirrel Wood: ^^
- [12:29] Bridie Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-6181
- [12:29] Harleen Gretzky: How would you stop someone from just lowering your voice volume?
- [12:29] Bridie Linden: waits for PJIRA
- [12:29] Aimee Trescothick: hmmm, can't guarantee they'd have voice anyway
- [12:29] Gellan Glenelg: it's not about muting voice... but you can mute text .. which you shouldn't be able to do
- [12:30] Soft Linden: Harleen - I don't think we'd want to discourage that. The inability to mute Lindens is so residents aren't stuck not hearing us if we say 'Please stop that so we don't have to send you to the cornfield.'
- [12:30] Joeseph Albanese: Its a nice prevention to keep from accidentally muting
- [12:30] Soft Linden: Alexa - I cleaned up the title on the last - it's good for import
- [12:30] Alexa Linden: 8094?
- [12:30] Squirrel Wood: hmm.. I have this sudden "different" rotation on rez happen to some of my objects
- [12:30] Alexa Linden: thanks
- [12:30] Bridie Linden: Andrew commented on the next one
- [12:31] Harleen Gretzky: I understand, but you cannot mute the text just the voice, so if soeone lowers your voice volume they will not hear you anyway
- [12:31] Soft Linden: Pretty sure this is a dupe - checking
- [12:31] Bridie Linden: Looks like we can either go ahead and resolve..
- [12:31] Bridie Linden: was wondering if it was a dupe
- [12:32] Alexa Linden: k
- [12:32] Bridie Linden: is doing a quick search too
- [12:32] Soft Linden: Doesn't look like a dupe. I was thinking of one where the collision model wasn't updated.
- [12:33] Harleen Gretzky: It is already assigned to Andrew too
- [12:33] Squirrel Wood: Andrew Linden - 11/Jul/08 10:40 AM
- Is this bug still a problem? Since Havok4 was release in April and I' haven't seen any comment traffic here through May and June I suspect it has been fixed in the flurry of maintenance fixes that followed the Havok4 release.
- If it IS still a problem please paste an example script in the comments that reproduces the problem. Otherwise I'll close this bug in a few weeks.
- [12:33] Bridie Linden: nods
- [12:33] Alexa Linden: but not imported
- [12:33] Soft Linden: Still - the last comment is from Andrew. This should be needs more info, with a request for a landmark of where to see it, or a script
- [12:33] Bridie Linden: nods
- [12:33] Alexa Linden: I agree soft
- [12:33] Bridie Linden: I agree Alexa
- [12:33] Bridie Linden: :P
- [12:34] Squirrel Wood: I agree. We need more nut prims.
- [12:34] Alexa Linden: hahaha
- [12:34] Bridie Linden: Next up...
- [12:34] Bridie Linden: VWR-7879[c
- [12:34] Soft Linden: Andrew's comment actually makes for a good NMI request. Could just change status on the last.
- [12:34] Bridie Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-7879
- [12:35] Soft Linden: This proably means the person doesn't have access to the target sim.
- [12:35] Squirrel Wood: You get that tp error when you try to tp to a parcel that you do not have access to. Or to a sim that you do not have access to.
- [12:35] Bridie Linden: ah
- [12:35] Alexa Linden: yup
- [12:35] Soft Linden: As Squirrel says. This could be closed, and a new JIRA made to make that message more clear.
- [12:35] Squirrel Wood: even though you can enter the parcel 50+m above ground
- [12:35] Gellan Glenelg: just tried with (no payment info) alt to get to Uber Alles... it worked
- [12:35] Alexa Linden: :) thanks Gellan
- [12:36] Bridie Linden: nods
- [12:36] Bridie Linden: Next...
- [12:36] Bridie Linden: VWR-7795[c
- [12:36] Bridie Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-7795
- [12:36] Joeseph Albanese: broken imagination?
- [12:36] Bridie Linden: :)
- [12:37] Aimee Trescothick: wonders suspiciously if their eyes have also turned black
- [12:37] Bridie Linden: Great comment/instructions from Ellla
- [12:37] Bridie Linden: Resolve 'open your eyes'
- [12:37] Alexa Linden: old version
- [12:37] Alexa Linden: Affects Version/s: 1.19.0.5
- [12:37] Lars Donardson: Gf2...holy moly
- [12:37] Bridie Linden: Resolve NMI
- [12:37] Alexa Linden: k
- [12:37] Squirrel Wood: that gf2 shoulda long been retired
- [12:38] Soft Linden: And the last comment is sufficient for that NMI, yeah.
- [12:38] Bridie Linden: Next up
- [12:38] Bridie Linden: WEB-267[c
- [12:38] Bridie Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/WEB-267
- [12:38] Soft Linden: That's a www.secondlife vs secondlife certificate issue - that should go to the web guys
- [12:38] Alexa Linden: k
- [12:39] Bridie Linden: nods
- [12:39] Soft Linden: Yeah, I see that here too.
- [12:39] Bridie Linden: and, BTW, server Release Notes are coming soon (TM)
- [12:39] Bridie Linden: :)
- [12:39] Soft Linden: Woot!
- [12:39] Gellan Glenelg: :)
- [12:39] Bridie Linden: https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Release_Notes/Second_Life_Beta_Server/1.23
- [12:40] Bridie Linden: Viewer release notes will be following a similiar plan too
- [12:40] Bridie Linden: :)
- [12:40] Harleen Gretzky: nice
- [12:40] Bridie Linden: Next up
- [12:40] Bridie Linden: VWR-7520[c
- [12:40] Bridie Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-7520
- [12:40] Soft Linden: Would like to ask Flynt to try this in 1.20 - the comment there suggests it's fixed.
- [12:40] Soft Linden: Ha! Nice, Aimee.
- [12:41] Soft Linden: Where'd you get the oven dial?
- [12:41] Aimee Trescothick: :D
- [12:41] Aimee Trescothick: lol
- [12:41] Alexa Linden: I like broil please
- [12:41] Joeseph Albanese: Isnt that the 3d mouse?
- [12:42] Squirrel Wood: Now that is a chair that would entertain at least two friends of mine ^^
- [12:42] Bridie Linden: lol
- [12:42] Alexa Linden: lol
- [12:42] Bridie Linden: that's great
- [12:42] Bridie Linden: let's ask Flynt to try w/latest RC
- [12:42] Alexa Linden: k
- [12:42] Bridie Linden: Next up
- [12:42] Bridie Linden: SVC-721[c
- [12:42] Bridie Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-721
- [12:43] Aimee Trescothick: hmm, I can trigger double taps with the SN, but it doesn't seem to be happening accidentally
- [12:43] Soft Linden: There must be a dupe or at least a related issue for this. Not interacting physically with the neighboring sim is a looooong-standing issue.
- [12:43] Alexa Linden: yup
- [12:44] Bridie Linden: nods
- [12:44] Gellan Glenelg: this issue is OLD too
- [12:44] Bridie Linden: Can someone dig up?
- [12:44] Alexa Linden: any sim crossing one :P
- [12:44] Bridie Linden: ha
- [12:44] Bridie Linden: Shall we move on?
- [12:44] Soft Linden: Still - may want to hand this to the havok4 team if the more aggressive collision resolution is a new issue. The old havok may have had some dampener on the borders.
- [12:44] Aimee Trescothick: ok, so I can trigger them accidentally lol, but not a conclusive test as my SN support is heavily modded in the viewer I'm running
- [12:44] Alexa Linden: ya
- [12:45] Bridie Linden: yes, let's ask andrew to take a look
- [12:45] Soft Linden: Import?
- [12:45] Bridie Linden: # VWR-7434[c
- [12:45] Soft Linden: Yus.
- [12:45] Bridie Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-7434
- [12:45] Squirrel Wood: try latest rc
- [12:45] Bridie Linden: i love attached BMPs
- [12:46] Gellan Glenelg: hmm.. first time i've seen logs im .bmp format
- [12:46] Bridie Linden: nods to Squirrel
- [12:46] Alexa Linden: HAHAHA
- [12:46] Squirrel Wood: I had those freezes too... latest few rcs don't have them any more
- [12:46] Soft Linden: Copying/pasting from Windows command windows is hard. I can't blame 'em.
- [12:46] Lars Donardson: I attach crayon drawings...
- [12:46] Bridie Linden: lol
- [12:46] Alexa Linden: hahaha
- [12:46] Bridie Linden: BMPs of crayon drawings, I hope
- [12:47] Squirrel Wood: I shall attach multipage tiff images in the future :p
- [12:47] Soft Linden: Needs More Info: Please repost as interpreteive MS Paint.
- [12:47] Gellan Glenelg: LOL
- [12:47] Alexa Linden: I'll ask to try latest RC
- [12:47] Squirrel Wood: or amiga .iff files :p
- [12:47] Squirrel Wood: but yes. latest rc will fix.
- [12:47] Soft Linden: I'm not sure what to do with this. This would take a pretty observant/persistent resident to catch.
- [12:48] Gellan Glenelg: You've not been reading the blog, Soft... ArtRage is the new tool of choice!
- [12:48] Soft Linden: Yeah, NMI for 1.20. If they say it's still happening, we should take it in.
- [12:48] Bridie Linden: Next up
- [12:48] Bridie Linden: VWR-7360[c
- [12:48] Bridie Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-7360
- [12:49] Alexa Linden: old
- [12:49] Alexa Linden: I'll handle this
- [12:49] Bridie Linden: These must be from the bottom of the Misc Pool
- [12:49] Alexa Linden: newest RC, etc
- [12:49] Bridie Linden: :)
- [12:49] Bridie Linden: yabba yabba
- [12:49] Soft Linden: I don't think this is an RC issue. I think this was a login server issue we were having around then.
- [12:49] Squirrel Wood: Most likely
- [12:49] Bridie Linden: nods
- [12:49] Bridie Linden: Next up
- [12:49] Soft Linden: No need to ask about RC - regardless of the client, if they're still having the issue we should know about it. So just NMI on any viewer.
- [12:49] Bridie Linden: VWR-6946[c
- [12:50] Soft Linden: Oh ha, how annoying!
- [12:50] Soft Linden: Trying this.
- [12:50] Harleen Gretzky: That is a dupe of another issue, think Torley reported
- [12:51] Soft Linden: I've forgotten the keyboard shortcut to get my UI back - someone say it on voice? :)
- [12:51] Alexa Linden: coughs
- [12:51] Alexa Linden: SL is a no smoking zone
- [12:51] Bridie Linden: Volunteers to check for a dupe?
- [12:51] Harleen Gretzky: Ctrl-Alt-F1
- [12:51] Squirrel Wood: smoking is bad for your pixels.
- [12:51] Soft Linden: Thanks :>
- [12:52] Soft Linden: Yes, this is a real bug - should import.
- [12:52] Alexa Linden: assign to?
- [12:52] Bridie Linden: or find other issue
- [12:52] Harleen Gretzky: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-4232
- [12:52] Soft Linden: It should be a fairly easy viewer bug
- [12:52] Soft Linden: Wherever those go
- [12:53] Soft Linden: Ah yes - dupes that
- [12:53] Alexa Linden: thanks Harleen!
