- [12:05] Squirrel Wood: supposedly fixed in rc3, yet keeps occuring
- [12:05] Cummere Mayo: yeah allot more lately too
- [12:05] Harleen Gretzky: I can easily reproduce with Gig's script
- [12:06] Cummere Mayo: though i honestly think its related to the otehr sim issues
- [12:06] Object: Hello,: Avatar!

- [12:07] Nya Linden: and send back to triage, Bridie?
- [12:07] Bridie Linden: nods
- [12:07] Nya Linden: thanks.
- [12:07] Squirrel Wood: Hello Rob!
- [12:07] Rob Linden: howdy
- [12:07] Object: Hello,: Avatar!
- [12:07] Harleen Gretzky: Hi Rob
- [12:07] Cummere Mayo: welcoem rob
- [12:07] Nya Linden: next we have https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-2712
- [12:07] Ellla McMahon: hello Rob :))
- [12:08] Gellan Glenelg: I couldn't get this to repro, but I believe harleen did
- [12:08] Object: Scaling: little
- [12:08] Object: Scaling: big
- [12:08] Object: Scaling: little
- [12:08] Object: Scaling: big
- [12:08] Object: Scaling: little
- [12:08] Object: Scaling: big
- [12:08] Object: Scaling: little
- [12:08] Harleen Gretzky: Yeah, repors every time for me, soon as I log out and back in, the inventory object is gone
- [12:09] Object: Scaling: big
- [12:09] Harleen Gretzky: *repros
- [12:09] Object: Scaling: little
- [12:09] Cummere Mayo: i've lost a couple things that way to. i havent intentionally tried to repo though
- [12:10] Nya Linden: sounds like we should import.
- [12:10] Bridie Linden: So is it a dupe of VWR-6110?
- [12:10] Selena Beale: Hmm.. I could see where that would be serious.. if someone lost say.. a whole furry AV cause they were modding it..
- [12:10] Gellan Glenelg: i think it's one possible cause of VWR-6110
- [12:11] Soft Linden: Did clearing your cache help on this? I'm wondering if it's loss, or just the viewer cache not getting updated properly.
- [12:11] Harleen Gretzky: Not exactly, VWR-6110 is losing teh inventory item, when you attach something to teh same place, which fortunately never happens to me
- [12:11] Cummere Mayo: please. and um, id say give it soemthign above nromal, becuase if objects are d
- [12:11] Cummere Mayo: clearing cache does not help anymore
- [12:11] Harleen Gretzky: Clearing cache did nothing
- [12:11] Cummere Mayo: with any inventory loss i have expereinced
- [12:12] Bridie Linden: But this was not specific to 1.23.4, right?
- [12:12] Soft Linden: Thanks. Yeah, should import this as a new issue.
- [12:12] Bridie Linden: Harleen, do you want to update title?
- [12:12] Cummere Mayo: um if i may be so bold i think this shoudl get soem priority too
- [12:12] Cummere Mayo: if stuff is disapearing, im willing to bet theres mroe going on then jsut what we can see
- [12:12] Soft Linden: Cummere: It's marked critical - that should carry to the imported version.
- [12:12] Harleen Gretzky: sure, started in 1.22.4 but continues in 1.23.4
- [12:13] Bridie Linden: ty
- [12:13] Cummere Mayo: thank you soft just making sure though
- [12:13] Bridie Linden: I'll import after it's been updated
- [12:14] Nya Linden: kk. next we have https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-7156
- [12:15] Cummere Mayo: if that isnt a dupe i vote import
- [12:15] Aimee Trescothick: I had a feeling it was already reported, but I couldn't find one
- [12:15] Soft Linden: So, with this - if you exit flycam mode, change zoom, then go back to flycam, the zoom persists?
- [12:16] Gellan Glenelg: sounds like it
- [12:16] Aimee Trescothick: yes
- [12:16] Soft Linden: Gah
- [12:16] Soft Linden: Wrong key
- [12:16] Soft Linden: sorry
- [12:16] Aimee Trescothick: the keys just don't work while in flycam
- [12:16] Soft Linden: Hit the fn- modifier, not ctrl-
- [12:16] Cummere Mayo: soft you gestrue spammer you! *runs to tattle to gteam* j/k *huggles*
- [12:16] Aimee Trescothick: hmm?
- [12:16] Soft Linden: :)
- [12:16] Aimee Trescothick: ah :D
- [12:17] Soft Linden: This seems a resonable request. No reason to disable those keys in flycam mode.
- [12:17] Bridie Linden: I'll import
- [12:17] Nya Linden: next up: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-2596
- [12:17] Soft Linden: Rob, there was a meta jira for spacenav issues with patches - is there one for issues without?
- [12:17] Aimee Trescothick: you can zoom by assigning it an axis
- [12:17] Aimee Trescothick: but not convenient
- [12:17] Aimee Trescothick: vwr-6363
- [12:17] Gellan Glenelg: soft, VWR-6363
- [12:19] Rob Linden: Soft: yes, the old one morphed into "without"
- [12:19] Soft Linden: thumbsup!
- [12:19] Cummere Mayo: hmmm Now i wonder if 2596 might at all be related to 2708 soemhow?
- [12:21] Cummere Mayo: err um?
- [12:21] Soft Linden: This should get imported, but needs more info externally asking for comments to be added as sims are discovered in this state
- [12:22] Soft Linden: It would be helpful for whoever tries to fix this to see it as it's happening. Unfortuantely, that repro comment only shows that it's happened, doesn't make it happen, so this could be tough to chase down.
- [12:22] Cummere Mayo: hmm im gonan ask if theres a correlation between the sims this happens to and those that have the massive performance failures
- [12:23] Soft Linden: It's possible. It could be some devices on the sim that are monopolizing all the sessions.
- [12:23] Selena Beale: well..it would have been nice if they gave a sim location..
- [12:23] Soft Linden: If someone reports one as it's happening, it would be helpful.
- [12:24] Cummere Mayo: I also asked for a list of sims that this behavior is noticed on
- [12:24] Soft Linden: Anyway - if it's imported, a simulator dev can be made aware of the issue and will know to watch the public issue for lists of affected regions.
- [12:24] Bridie Linden: nods
- [12:24] Harleen Gretzky: Tomarus' comment says they submitted a support ticket on the sim it was happening to
- [12:24] Cummere Mayo: soft if youll refresh that and see fi theres anythign else you want me to ask?
- [12:25] Soft Linden: Sure
- [12:25] Soft Linden: Looks okay to me, Cummere
- [12:26] Nya Linden: are we ready for the next one?
- [12:26] Cummere Mayo: do you want me to tag it NMI?
- [12:26] Soft Linden: Please!
- [12:26] Nya Linden: thanks Cummere!
- [12:26] Nya Linden: and on to https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-2723
- [12:27] Cummere Mayo: done and done
- [12:27] Soft Linden: And Bridie already added the note to the internal to look for an external list. Always one step ahead!
- [12:27] Bridie Linden: :)
- [12:28] Bridie Linden: Or one step beyond, depending upon how you look @ it...
- [12:28] Bridie Linden: grins
- [12:28] Soft Linden: This sounds like a valid havok bug.
- [12:28] Bridie Linden: hums The Specials now
- [12:28] Nya Linden: right then. import?
- [12:28] Soft Linden: If nonsense values were capped at a large value, they should still cap at a large value.
- [12:28] Soft Linden: Yes please!
- [12:29] Nya Linden: and now for patches! https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-1366
- [12:29] Soft Linden: A lot of scripters may have stuck in 1000000000 just to see what happens, and left it because it worked.
- [12:29] Aimee Trescothick: erm, that's not a patch :D
- [12:29] Soft Linden: As Aimee says :)
- [12:30] Nya Linden: d'oh. it was in the patches section!
- [12:30] Bridie Linden: Sorry, back to llPushObject, was that a dupe of any existing issue(s)?
- [12:30] Soft Linden: The request was from 1.17 - are joysticks still pseudo-digital?
- [12:30] Rob Linden: thinks it was my fault for calling that a patch
- [12:30] Cummere Mayo: ok i jsut contacted Tomarus Lednev about the scripts chocking bug. asked him to leave the names of his sims and any other details he can think of and i dotn recall any off the top of my head bridie... but then im kinda under the weatehr today
- [12:30] Nya Linden: don't think so Bridie - want to import it as a havok bug
- [12:30] Aimee Trescothick: for avatar movement they are yes
- [12:30] Bridie Linden: okies
- [12:30] Soft Linden: Abstra says he/she has code - it's not posted though
- [12:31] Soft Linden: Needs more info, asking Abstra to post the patch?
- [12:31] Aimee Trescothick: Abstra's code is what's now in 1.20
- [12:31] Aimee Trescothick: that's old
- [12:31] Aimee Trescothick: from when we just had flycam
- [12:31] Soft Linden: So analog is supported in the present viewer?
- [12:32] Rob Linden: take off [patch attached
- [12:32] Aimee Trescothick: sort of, it's still emulating keypresses, i.e. if you push harder you don't move faster
- [12:32] Soft Linden: Okay, so this isn't in. This jira is for going from the pseudo-digital to analog.
- [12:32] Soft Linden: Yeah, should be nmi, asking Abstra for the patch.
- [12:32] Aimee Trescothick: yeah
- [12:33] Aimee Trescothick: I think what Abstra's refering to is the code that's already in for avatar movement though
- [12:33] Aimee Trescothick: that comment is from last year
- [12:33] Aimee Trescothick: he's the one that contributed the NDOF stuff, works for 3Dconex
- [12:34] Soft Linden: And he says that his code (presumably for this JIRA) depends on that other work being in. That other work is now in.
- [12:34] Soft Linden: To move on - how about if I ask for clarification on this point, still NMI?
- [12:34] Bridie Linden: pls, Soft
- [12:35] Nya Linden: sounds good. thanks!
- [12:35] Nya Linden: Next we have: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-8474
- [12:35] Gellan Glenelg: I've not seen any blog/grid status links on login page for a while now
- [12:35] Harleen Gretzky: I noticed this also, the new login screens do not have the blog or grid status posts
- [12:35] Cummere Mayo: can defiantely repo that one
- [12:36] Ellla McMahon: I am not seeing them either
- [12:36] Selena Beale: doesn't show for me either
- [12:36] Soft Linden: This might have been intentional, or may have been an oversight in the redesign.
- [12:36] Soft Linden: Couldn't hurt to import and ask.
- [12:37] Cummere Mayo: if it was intentional no offense but it needs undone ><
- [12:37] Bridie Linden: I'll find out
- [12:37] Bridie Linden: New images are nice, though IMHO
- [12:37] Soft Linden: Totally
- [12:38] Nya Linden: okay. next!
- [12:38] Nya Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-2740
- [12:38] Gellan Glenelg: This is a dupe of VWR-3000, but reporter seems to think it needs a separate issue because VWR-3000 might be in the wrong project "to bring it to the attention of the server team"
- [12:39] Harleen Gretzky: Looks like a dupe of VWR-3000 to me, VWR-3000 may have some SVC issues associated to it but no reason to open a dupe issue, IMO
- [12:39] Soft Linden: If scripts aren't running, this is a SVC issue. I don't think it's a dupe.
- [12:39] Cummere Mayo: hoenstly i dont think its truely a dupe of vwr-3000 either
- [12:39] Soft Linden: There's nothing about teleporting that should disable scripts, or remove attachments for that matter.
- [12:39] Selena Beale: Doesn't look like one to me either
- [12:39] Harleen Gretzky: Scripts not running is mentionsed on VWR-3000
- [12:39] Cummere Mayo: even if it was, it does seem to be a svr issue so reopening it under svr was prudent imho
- [12:40] Squirrel Wood: many prims usually means many scripts as well
- [12:40] Gellan Glenelg: the reporter even says it's the same issue
- [12:40] Gellan Glenelg: but that it should have been reported as SVC
- [12:40] Harleen Gretzky: Why not move VWR-3000 to SVC instead tehn?
- [12:40] Squirrel Wood: many scripts = high data load on tp
- [12:40] Cummere Mayo: cause unless yorue a linden you cant
- [12:40] Bridie Linden: I can move, all agree?
- [12:40] Harleen Gretzky: or a good citizen, McCabe could have
- [12:41] Nya Linden: move. yes.
- [12:41] Soft Linden: Yeah. I'd close this one as a dupe and move the VWR- one to SVC.
- [12:41] Cummere Mayo: agreed
- [12:41] Soft Linden: The VWR- one carries more details and votes.
- [12:42] Nya Linden: and we're now on: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-8456
- [12:43] Soft Linden: Anyone here on a mac? Is cmd-shift-F toggling the friend window for you?
- [12:43] Aimee Trescothick: works for me
- [12:43] Nya Linden: yep
- [12:43] Cummere Mayo: sorry im a windows bish myself
- [12:43] Soft Linden: Ah, if I pop it out, it doesn't anymore.
- [12:43] Harleen Gretzky: Worked for the one commentor also
- [12:43] Bridie Linden: VWR-3000 --> /SVC-2743 FYI
- [12:43] Aimee Trescothick: ah
- [12:44] Harleen Gretzky: Doesn't work in Windows either if torn off
- [12:44] Soft Linden: This seems a valid bug - popped-out friend window loses hot key support
- [12:44] Aimee Trescothick: closes the communicate window, but on the contacts
- [12:44] Soft Linden: How about I make a new JIRA describing the poopped out window behavior, and close the original NMI asking if it's the real issue they're seeing?
- [12:44] Nya Linden: Soft - it doesn't work that way on Windows either. I think this is a no repro..
- [12:44] Cummere Mayo: *nods* ok yeah if i tear contacts off the communicate window im lsoing hot key support too
- [12:45] Nya Linden: that sounds good soft.
- [12:45] Soft Linden: Onnit
- [12:45] Bridie Linden: Ty Soft!
- [12:45] Nya Linden: bringing us to: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-8017
- [12:46] Harleen Gretzky: Detached friends is already reported: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-5370
- [12:46] Nya Linden: ty Harleen!
- [12:46] Soft Linden: Ah, thanks!
- [12:46] Harleen Gretzky: welcome
- [12:46] Bridie Linden: Gold Sarts!
- [12:47] Cummere Mayo: good catch harleen... and ild say that with teh 8017 this is mislabled if all they wnat is a confirm of the reciept of logs
- [12:47] Cummere Mayo: and that should be a support ticket issue not a pjira
- [12:48] Cummere Mayo: im not sure why peri converted it, but theres no info on the crash itself i can see
- [12:48] Nya Linden: yeah.. we can send it back with a request for a crash log? NMI?
- [12:49] Soft Linden: I think this should just be resolved 'contact support'
- [12:49] Squirrel Wood: please the customer ^^
- [12:49] Nya Linden: heh.. yes. requesting crash logs on this bug would seem a bit.. uncouth.
- [12:49] Soft Linden: If they're looking for feedback/help on those crashes
- [12:49] Nya Linden: +1 soft - contact support.
- [12:49] Cummere Mayo: i would agree with soft. he can always open a new pjria later with the issue after talkign to support
- [12:50] Bridie Linden: nods
- [12:50] Nya Linden: next: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-8301
- [12:52] Nya Linden: hears crickets.
- [12:52] Squirrel Wood: I'd say works as intended. a loop is a loop is a loop
- [12:52] Cummere Mayo: um i dont have the funds to uplaod that and test, but i would say either way, im nto convinced thats really a bug. i woudl think stop would kill the entire animation not jsut take it out of a loop and continue it
- [12:53] Selena Beale: Not a bug.. nope nope
- [12:53] Soft Linden: So, the reporter seems to think that if you set a loop point, then stop an animation, the portion of the animation after the loop endpoint should play.
- [12:53] Soft Linden: I don't think that's ever worked that way - you play another animation if you want something to happen at that point.
- [12:53] Cummere Mayo: and i dont see why they should think that?
- [12:53] Squirrel Wood: If there was a way to tell how many times the loop should run ...
- [12:54] Soft Linden: I'll add comments. But I'll do this as won't fix, and suggest that if they want behavior, it should be a feature request.
- [12:54] Squirrel Wood: then it would make sense
- [12:54] Cummere Mayo: i mean we could import and ask the devs, but i honestly think it would be a waste of time
- [12:54] Soft Linden: Anyone object to my marking it won't finish and explaining?
- [12:54] Cummere Mayo: none from me
- [12:54] Soft Linden: goes nuts on it.
- [12:54] Nya Linden: thanks soft. sounds good to me.
- [12:54] Bridie Linden: no objections your honor
- [12:54] Nya Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-7846
- [12:55] Gellan Glenelg: I wasn't able to repro this
- [12:55] Squirrel Wood: careful with those nuts. And put them back into the watermellons once you're done :p
- [12:56] Cummere Mayo: um ive had this happen with a german client user and me
- [12:56] Squirrel Wood: Oh My... "several customers threatened me to send a report to LL for not supporting them" ... as if that would help them at all..
- [12:56] Bridie Linden: O.o
- [12:56] Cummere Mayo: but it is too speratic to repo effectively
- [12:56] Nya Linden: is it intermittent, Cummere?
- [12:56] Nya Linden: weird.
- [12:56] Bridie Linden: when did it happen Cummere?
- [12:57] Cummere Mayo: very intermentant... I have a theroy but i cant repo it enough and i cant code to prove disprove
- [12:57] Squirrel Wood: could it be that different language versions of windows fail to communicate because they typically use different codepages ?
- [12:57] Cummere Mayo: off and on since 1.19.0 was released bridie
- [12:57] Soft Linden: This should be NMI, with a request to post a comment when it actually happens with the location and time of the IM. If it's recent, we can at least make sure the message reached the server.
- [12:57] Squirrel Wood: german/english => code page 437 / 850
- [12:58] Cummere Mayo: my theroy is that if the langauge is changed, soemtimes, the client doesnt fully implement those changes and theres a "disconect" for lack of a better term between it and other languages
- [12:58] Cummere Mayo: *other cleint languages
- [12:59] Cummere Mayo: soft also suggest that after they switch languages to try a FULL system restart
- [12:59] Squirrel Wood: q sldsp ul ss sopu u uo pnss s u x uop psdn p u no
- [12:59] Cummere Mayo: it seems to help the few times it happened to me
- [12:59] Soft Linden: Squirrel's been into the fermented acorns again :(
- [12:59] Squirrel Wood: can you read the text Soft ?
- [13:00] Nya Linden: well.. looks like that was the last one.
- [13:00] Ellla McMahon: Note .. Cenji Neutra commented on SVC-2596: Script dataserver events become permanently blocked until sim restart
- [13:00] Nya Linden: I've got yet another meeting to run to.
- [13:00] Nya Linden: thanks all!
- [13:00] Harleen Gretzky: Bye Nya
- [13:00] Squirrel Wood: Cya
- [13:00] Soft Linden: The last couple words are baffling me
- [13:00] Cummere Mayo: tc nya
- [13:00] Ellla McMahon: bye Nya :)
- [13:00] Bridie Linden: Soft, would you mind commenting on that last one?
- [13:00] Squirrel Wood: If you can read upside down text then rest assured that on a german windows system the client displays garbage.
- [13:01] Harleen Gretzky: Upside text is garbage on German windows systems
- [13:01] Harleen Gretzky: How did you do that, BTW?
- [13:01] Squirrel Wood: [3]
- [13:01] Harleen Gretzky: cool, thx
