- [15:03] Bridie Linden: Hiya Zen, glad to hear it
- [15:03] Selena Beale: New meat! I mean .. nice to meet you
- [15:03] Cummere Mayo: wow hello oskar welcoem to triage, and um welcoem to the dream/nightmare that is being a linden
- [15:03] Bridie Linden: grins
- [15:03] Bridie Linden: And that's a Resident telling you, Oskar
- [15:03] Oskar Linden: hi
- [15:03] Cummere Mayo: i will give you a full um 5 min before i start tormenting you like i do the rest
- [15:03] Bridie Linden: Quick intro?
- [15:03] Bridie Linden: from Oskar?
- [15:03] Nya Linden: pokes Oskar.
- [15:03] Bridie Linden: looks @ Oskar
- [15:03] Oskar Linden: ok. I'm Oskar Linden. I'm a new hire. I do QA in the Seattle office.
- [15:04] Bridie Linden: The crowd goes wild!
- [15:04] CG Linden: /hoo!
- [15:04] Bridie Linden: OSSM
- [15:04] Bridie Linden: Ok, today's agenda is from 1.20 issues...
- [15:04] Bridie Linden: (since no new RC as yet)
- [15:04] Cummere Mayo: woot. hello oskar im kinda the unoficial jira bish and official tormenter of all lindens
- [15:04] Selena Beale: I'm not going to do that.. but yay for new meat to torment/pester/umm... mildly annoy?
- [15:04] Oskar Linden: nice
- [15:05] Bridie Linden: Thx to Cummere for help w/agenda
- [15:05] Bridie Linden: [1]
- [15:05] Bridie Linden: Alexa Linden is off doing other things today, so Nya will be my wing-avatar today
- [15:06] Cummere Mayo: have we perminately lsot alexa for triage then?
- [15:06] Bridie Linden: No, just a temporary absence for Ms. Alexa
- [15:06] Zen Linden: resists to urge to quote top gun
- [15:06] Bridie Linden: First up...
- [15:06] Bridie Linden: VWR-5949[c
- [15:07] Bridie Linden: (/me thx Zen for not)
- [15:07] Bridie Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-5949
- [15:07] Bridie Linden: So there was a recent update to this issue and it was tagged w/1.20 so that's why it's on the list...despite title
- [15:07] Cummere Mayo: ihavent had that on .15 or 1.21 yet.... but i did notice it before
- [15:08] Poly Quintessa: hey
- [15:08] Cummere Mayo: hello aimee poly and harleen
- [15:08] Poly Quintessa: hello
- [15:08] Bridie Linden: We fixed some memory issues in 1.20, but we know there are more to go...
- [15:08] Harleen Gretzky: Howdy
- [15:08] Al Sonic: is happy that Qarl is tackling VWR-7126.
- [15:08] Cummere Mayo: vote we say nmi until my question is answered y/n on it
- [15:09] norritt Xi: I had it on 1.19 too but not on the later 1.20 versions so if there is an "out memory error" its most likely a different one
- [15:09] Zen Linden: yeah, and we don't have any good debugging info to ask residents to turn on if they're experiencing this
- [15:09] Bridie Linden: nods
- [15:09] Zen Linden: that will come later
- [15:09] Bridie Linden: So shall we mark this w/a 'last triaged' date and move on?
- [15:09] Cummere Mayo: igot my vote
- [15:09] Zen Linden: not much we can do about it now
- [15:09] Cummere Mayo: *got
- [15:09] Bridie Linden: yeah...
- [15:09] Selena Beale: Good to me
- [15:10] Bridie Linden: nods
- [15:10] Bridie Linden: Next up
- [15:10] Bridie Linden: # VWR-4680[c
- [15:10] Bridie Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-4680
- [15:10] Selena Beale: what's Xorg? sorry..
- [15:10] CG Linden: X11
- [15:10] Cummere Mayo: ok is xorg another version of linux or what?
- [15:11] CG Linden: I think...
- [15:11] norritt Xi: This is the linux Graphical server you need it to run a window manager
- [15:11] Oskar Linden: x.org
- [15:11] Bridie Linden: another windowing system...
- [15:11] Bridie Linden: anyone using?
- [15:11] CG Linden: I think it's what XFree86 morphed into
- [15:11] Cummere Mayo: im not a linnux user sorry
- [15:11] norritt Xi: Well not often atm since my soundcard is not yet supported by also therefore I cant give any info right now.
- [15:11] Selena Beale: Never heard of it.. not that build
- [15:11] Cummere Mayo: im that obscure xp2pro sp2 and xphomesp2 user :P
- [15:12] Bridie Linden: laughs
- [15:12] Bridie Linden: Didn't we have some Mac fullscreen issue(s)? Zen or Nya do you recall?
- [15:13] Bridie Linden: quickly searches for them
- [15:13] Nya Linden: only fullscreen on Mac issue I remember has to do with the browser.
- [15:13] Zen Linden: yeah
- [15:13] Nya Linden: not general viewer.
- [15:13] Bridie Linden: ah, ok
- [15:13] Bridie Linden: At any rate, this Linux issue doesn't appear to be brand new...
- [15:14] Zen Linden: and I'm not sure how much is us
- [15:14] Bridie Linden: and I don't know if we can try and repro inhouse or not...?
- [15:14] Cummere Mayo: ok well if this os is supported vote import, if not... um still vote import at lowest priority
- [15:14] norritt Xi: Yeah but maybe it should be investigated with some linux users... isnt there an open source triage?
- [15:14] Bridie Linden: We could ask around @ Monday's triage...
- [15:15] Zen Linden: agrees with norritt.
- [15:15] norritt Xi: If so there most likely hang out several linux users
- [15:15] Bridie Linden: I can ping a couple of folks internally, but would vote for not importing just yet
- [15:15] Bridie Linden: sound ok?
- [15:15] Nya Linden: +1 bridie.
- [15:15] Selena Beale: Sounds good to me.. *giggles*
- [15:15] Bridie Linden: Cool...
- [15:15] Cummere Mayo: shrugs well mark with traige date the?
- [15:15] Bridie Linden: yup
- [15:15] norritt Xi: Yeah just try to make sure it is transferred to the open source oh that might give some valuable information
- [15:16] Bridie Linden: Gold Sarts to Cummere for point of order
- [15:16] Cummere Mayo: ok this next issue i am not having anythign more to do with
- [15:16] Bridie Linden: Another Linux one...
- [15:16] Bridie Linden: VWR-8240[c
- [15:16] Bridie Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-8240
- [15:16] norritt Xi: Guess it is the same problem that we had before
- [15:16] Bridie Linden: Cummere is recused from ;)
- [15:16] Cummere Mayo: we discussed this in mondays tirage. alexa said she thinks its imported already
- [15:17] norritt Xi: We got the "Out of Linux users" error right now
- [15:17] Bridie Linden: Ah, yes, sorry
- [15:17] Bridie Linden: Already imported
- [15:17] Cummere Mayo: but for soem reason its not linked. while you all discuss im getting a drink
- [15:18] Bridie Linden: It's imported and headed to our internal triage...
- [15:19] Bridie Linden: We may have seen this next one before...
- [15:19] Bridie Linden: VWR-7245[c
- [15:19] Bridie Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-7245
- [15:19] Bridie Linden: Indeed we have...
- [15:20] Cummere Mayo: yep but it should be feature request
- [15:20] Aimee Trescothick: fixing that is part of the notifications project right?
- [15:20] Selena Beale: That one I would definitely look at close.. I mean.. that should not happen though
- [15:20] Cummere Mayo: and im sorry for not catching that its a second time though
- [15:20] Bridie Linden: Np Cummere
- [15:20] Bridie Linden: I'd vote for moving to Feature Req
- [15:20] norritt Xi: Yeah good point IMO I'm not so sure how asset / money transactions are verified internally but if there is no "safety check" letting users accept transactions might be not so bad. On the other hand you can also crash after accepting a transfer but before receiving it
- [15:20] Bridie Linden: Not sure what to add beyond Torley's comment
- [15:20] Bridie Linden: Thoughts from others? Lindens?
- [15:21] CG Linden: well, nothing beyond what was said...
- [15:21] Bridie Linden: nods
- [15:21] Cummere Mayo: as a non linden i defiantely vote this should be adressed
- [15:21] Cummere Mayo: but one thing torely might not be aware of
- [15:21] CG Linden: we should push internally to have this situation specifically addressed within the notification revamp
- [15:21] Selena Beale: I voted for it..
- [15:21] Cummere Mayo: soemtimes crashes cause logs not to save right
- [15:22] CG Linden: maybe a server side tweak is possible
- [15:22] Cummere Mayo: adds antoher vote
- [15:22] Bridie Linden: Good points
- [15:22] CG Linden: but I'm not in a position to judge that
- [15:22] Bridie Linden: Nor I, not even w/special Viking hat...:P
- [15:22] CG Linden: but sounds like it could be done independently of notifications
- [15:22] norritt Xi: Well server side tweak would be the best solution because that means less clicking for the users
- [15:23] Cummere Mayo: i vote move to feature request and import
- [15:23] Bridie Linden: Let's make sure Notifications team has seen this one...
- [15:23] Bridie Linden: Welcome Ellla!
- [15:23] Bridie Linden: Better late, than never!
- [15:23] Cummere Mayo: hi ellla
- [15:23] Selena Beale: I second that Cummere
- [15:23] Bridie Linden: So next up...
- [15:23] Bridie Linden: #
- # VWR-8484[c] Votes: 3: - Menu jump key behavior is inconsistent and confusing to users - McCabe Maxsted
- [15:23] Ellla McMahon: hello everyone :)
- [15:23] Bridie Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-8484
- [15:23] Ellla McMahon: sorry .. SL issues !!! LOL
- [15:24] norritt Xi: Yeah I reproed and voted for it
- [15:24] norritt Xi: Either it is undesired behaviour or a UI bug
- [15:24] norritt Xi: Should be no problem to fix though
- [15:24] Bridie Linden: wb Nya
- [15:25] Cummere Mayo: vote for import and wb nya
- [15:25] Nya Linden: thanks!
- [15:25] Bridie Linden: Good one to import, agreed
- [15:25] Bridie Linden: Moving right along
- [15:25] Bridie Linden: VWR-8371[c
- [15:25] Bridie Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-8371
- [15:27] Bridie Linden: rereads...
- [15:27] Cummere Mayo: can repo
- [15:27] Harleen Gretzky: Seems classifieds are teh only search that actually searches entire words for your search query
- [15:27] Bridie Linden: So Harleen, it's not just a misunderstanding of the behavior?
- [15:27] Harleen Gretzky: I do not believe so, no other search behaves this way
- [15:29] Cummere Mayo: tbh i hate the whole search sytem. its very inconsistant from place ab to tab and less options then we had previously
- [15:29] Cummere Mayo: you might be seeing a jira from me soon for a feature request to revert
- [15:29] Bridie Linden: So what is the ask for 8371 exactly?
- [15:29] Cummere Mayo: but anyways i vote import
- [15:30] CG Linden: I don't know, the new all search beats the crap out of the old all search, IMHO
- [15:30] Harleen Gretzky: That classified searches only match whole words, like he others
- [15:30] Nya Linden: bridie - this search issue seems familiar. Did we see it on Monday?
- [15:30] Cummere Mayo: basically for the calssified adds to show what is being searched for and not the "extra" results
- [15:30] norritt Xi: We'll I guess he request that is ads he has paid fore ar displayed if you search them but they arent
- [15:31] norritt Xi: He says: when i type ndc in 'classifieds' ***it doesn't come up in the search results at all!!!!!! ****
- [15:31] Cummere Mayo: well techniclaly it is displayed but so far down as to be useless to him
- [15:31] Cummere Mayo: it comes up on the second page
- [15:31] norritt Xi: So if that really is so this is a bug and critical since people loose money because the classifieds are paid for
- [15:32] Bridie Linden: But they're sorted by price
- [15:32] Bridie Linden: but you can sort by name or price by clicking on headers
- [15:32] Cummere Mayo: btu the search was for ndc not for all these other things
- [15:32] Garn Conover: howls
- [15:32] Cummere Mayo: and clicking on names wont bring it to first page
- [15:32] Harleen Gretzky: correct, but if you search ndc in places, plases with the word "handcrafted" are never returned
- [15:33] Cummere Mayo: i actually agree. classified search should be consistant with the other tabs
- [15:33] Bridie Linden: ah, I see Cummere
- [15:33] Garn Conover: uug slurs still borked :(
- [15:33] Bridie Linden: Cummere would you mind commenting?
- [15:33] Cummere Mayo: sure
- [15:33] Bridie Linden: Then we'll import
- [15:33] Cummere Mayo: if youll import :P
- [15:33] Bridie Linden: Heya Garn!
- [15:33] Bridie Linden: deal :)
- [15:33] norritt Xi: Yeah so actually searching for "ndc" is resulting in a search for"*ndc*"
- [15:33] Garn Conover: hewwo's!
- [15:34] norritt Xi: Hi Garn!
- [15:34] Harleen Gretzky: correct, norritt
- [15:34] Bridie Linden: Just for you Garn, [2]
- [15:34] Bridie Linden: norritt, if you want to add that comment that'd be great too
- [15:34] Bridie Linden: needs coffee
- [15:34] Bridie Linden: :)
- [15:34] Oskar Linden: does as well
- [15:34] norritt Xi: Well did the "old" search ever support wild cards?
- [15:34] Garn Conover: did u ever find out McCabes black screen?
- [15:34] Bridie Linden: thx for clarifying fo rme!
- [15:35] Bridie Linden: Not sure norritt
- [15:35] norritt Xi: gave you nXC CoffeeMug.
- [15:35] norritt Xi: Well it would be good to know if this is desired or not
- [15:36] norritt Xi: It could be that search is supposed to work that way just because wildcards are not implemented
- [15:36] Bridie Linden: Let's move along...
- [15:36] Bridie Linden: Next is brought to us by Cap'n Crunch:
- [15:36] Bridie Linden: # VWR-7029[c
- [15:36] Bridie Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-7029
- [15:37] Garn Conover: why do u need so many open >.< lol
- [15:37] Selena Beale: Don't everyone try to repo this at once lol
- [15:37] Garn Conover: dont even have enough ppl here
- [15:38] Garn Conover: wb Harleen :)
- [15:38] Bridie Linden: Well, instead of us alll disappearing...
- [15:38] Bridie Linden: let's import
- [15:38] Cummere Mayo: ok i commented hopefully thats clear now?
- [15:38] Bridie Linden: Ty
- [15:38] Harleen Gretzky: ty
- [15:38] Selena Beale: yep.. import sounds good
- [15:38] Garn Conover: sniffs Askar
- [15:38] Garn Conover: Oskar*
- [15:38] Al Sonic: reads that there are 17 avatars here.
- [15:39] Selena Beale: Garn.. Oskar is new meat
- [15:39] Oskar Linden: :)
- [15:39] Bridie Linden: Behave Garn
- [15:39] Garn Conover: mmmm fresh meat!
- [15:39] Garn Conover: replacing Alexa for today?
- [15:39] Cummere Mayo: and yes i vote for import though i think its more a mem issue then that its 16 open
- [15:39] Bridie Linden: Next up
- [15:39] Oskar Linden: there is no replacement for Alexa
- [15:39] Bridie Linden: # VWR-3844[c
- [15:39] Bridie Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-3844
- [15:40] Bridie Linden: holy old PJIRA batman
- [15:40] Cummere Mayo: thats a replacement for a dupe with less votes that was there. this si a frequent issue and one i can and have repoed
- [15:40] CG Linden: this isn't the imposter bug?
- [15:40] Selena Beale: YEah.. that is a major issue.. happened to me too
- [15:41] Cummere Mayo: nope
- [15:41] Bridie Linden: really?
- [15:41] Cummere Mayo: imposters are off and it still occurs
- [15:41] norritt Xi: Well except I'm not at 340 meters here the profile window bug doesn't occur for me
- [15:41] norritt Xi: (with waaaay > that 16 profiles open)
- [15:41] CG Linden: and it's not sheer impatience for stuff to arrive and rez?
- [15:41] Zen Linden: this is happening near the threshold of the frustum, if i understand correctly?
- [15:41] Aimee Trescothick: judging by when it was reported I think that would predate imposters even?
- [15:42] Oskar Linden: I've seen something similar
- [15:42] Cummere Mayo: ack i thought i had linked 8412 to this one too
- [15:42] Bridie Linden: do we have a repro for this one?
- [15:42] Cummere Mayo: theres no repo it happens or it doesn
- [15:43] Garn Conover: lol we jsut lost Norritt.. i think he managed to repo it
- [15:43] Garn Conover: the profile one that is :)
- [15:43] Cummere Mayo: hi colton
- [15:43] Colton Linden: Hia
- [15:44] Bridie Linden: heya Colton
- [15:44] Garn Conover: allo Colton and wb Norritt :)
- [15:44] norritt Xi: YEEEAH crashed it!!!
- [15:44] Colton Linden: :))
- [15:44] Bridie Linden: well done norritt!
- [15:44] Bridie Linden: wb
- [15:44] Garn Conover: how many windows u have up?
- [15:44] norritt Xi: Okay for me the crash actually not occurs when sending stuff but when I start closing the profile windows again
- [15:44] norritt Xi: Dunno 20 or so
- [15:45] Zen Linden: cummere, do we have any idea on when the avatar disappearing bug does happen?
- [15:45] Cummere Mayo: guessing it might be a memory issu
- [15:45] Bridie Linden: norritt, pls add your comments tot that issue
- [15:45] Bridie Linden: not much to go on w/missing avatars atm
- [15:45] Bridie Linden: it seems
- [15:45] Cummere Mayo: and zen um for me it tends to happen jsut after logging into or transfering to a sim
- [15:45] Garn Conover: has any1 has issues w/ web slurs lately? .. might be im still o nthe RC 14 lol
- [15:45] Zen Linden: but you can't repro it consistently, it just happens every now and then?
- [15:46] Cummere Mayo: more then now and then um 50% of the time?
- [15:46] Harleen Gretzky: SLURLs do not owrk for me on any version
- [15:46] Bridie Linden: slurls were slow, but working for me earlier Garn
- [15:46] Harleen Gretzky: *work
- [15:46] Zen Linden: if it's 50% of the time, then that's a pretty decent repro
- [15:46] Selena Beale: Hmm.. I've noticed that last night too.. a friend of mind TPed to a SIM and she was the new glowing orb AV
- [15:46] norritt Xi: Okay added comment
- [15:46] Aimee Trescothick: Gellan and Zen are stuck as clouds since I arrived
- [15:47] Cummere Mayo: thats a differrant bug
- [15:47] Garn Conover: ok i havent been able to use a web side oen for a week now.. wouldn't even open SL.. maybe its just really slow then
- [15:47] Bridie Linden: Well, for 3844, I'd suggest that we mark w/last triaged date and ask for details for when this happens to folks
- [15:47] Cummere Mayo: ill comment on it that for me its login or sim crossing
- [15:47] Aimee Trescothick: but, yeah, diff bug
- [15:47] Cummere Mayo: usually a relog fixes it
- [15:47] Selena Beale: Well.. this was one of the RP sims and ten people commented on her not being rezzed
- [15:47] Zen Linden: kk
- [15:48] Bridie Linden: the cannonball bug was new, and is diff bug
- [15:48] Garn Conover's: one head begins to gnaw on Oskar's ankle
- [15:48] Selena Beale: Oh.. that's not that this was.. it was the new ruth AV
- [15:48] Oskar Linden: careful now Garn...
- [15:49] Bridie Linden: back to the agenda?
- [15:49] Bridie Linden: VWR-8416[c
- [15:49] Bridie Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-8416
- [15:49] Harleen Gretzky: Sort of moot since the blog updates no longer exist
- [15:49] Gellan Glenelg: that's kinda irrelevant now they're removed them?
- [15:49] Selena Beale: Well.. the blogs just don't appear anymore..
- [15:49] Garn Conover: they took em off login?
- [15:49] Bridie Linden: That's by design, currently
- [15:49] Gellan Glenelg: yeah :( - there's a feature request to replace em tho
- [15:49] Cummere Mayo: they seem to have yes. and shoot that designer
- [15:50] Garn Conover: ive got em on an RSS feeder but still nice having em on login
- [15:50] Bridie Linden: Just saw that Gellan
- [15:50] Harleen Gretzky: Request to restore: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-8491
- [15:50] Cummere Mayo: anyways comemnted abotu vanishing avis, and i still wish it would get imported. ifmy info at all helped?
- [15:50] Selena Beale: Sorta not good.. I mean poor torley and his video blog.. *whimpers for the loss of updates on videos*
- [15:51] Bridie Linden: And there are new login screen images...
- [15:51] Harleen Gretzky: Very scenic too :)
- [15:51] Bridie Linden: so maybe we should ask if they're seeing issues with new images, resolve as NMI?
- [15:51] Cummere Mayo: the new login images are sweet, BUt i miss having the grid status and blog on login
- [15:51] Gellan Glenelg: yeah - very nice; seem em; now give me something useful, please? ;P
- [15:51] Ellla McMahon: re non appearing avis, could it be related to the bug described by Ramzi on VWR-7750 ?
- [15:52] Cummere Mayo: maybe ill look
- [15:52] Garn Conover: do i have to get another client to see em? lol
- [15:52] Bridie Linden: looks @ 7750
- [15:52] Cummere Mayo: nope differant issue
- [15:52] Aimee Trescothick: would be interesting to know how many fewer page hits the blog gets with them not presented on login
- [15:52] Cummere Mayo: thats the ruth issue
- [15:53] Aimee Trescothick: (not that I'm specifically asking anyone to find out :)
- [15:53] Bridie Linden: I've added myself as a watcher on the 'missing avs' issue 3844
- [15:54] Bridie Linden: Time for one more...
- [15:54] Bridie Linden: VWR-7849[c
- [15:54] Bridie Linden: VWR-7849[c
- [15:54] Bridie Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-7849
- [15:55] Cummere Mayo: can repo it
- [15:55] Bridie Linden: Ty
- [15:55] Bridie Linden: Not sure how broadly used this is, but seems valid
- [15:55] Cummere Mayo: megghan added a better repo already though
- [15:55] Bridie Linden: cool
- [15:56] Cummere Mayo: and this si actually kinda important for certain types of vip groups and info groups
- [15:56] Cummere Mayo: *is
- [15:56] Bridie Linden: Ah ok
- [15:56] Bridie Linden: ONe more?
