- [12:02] Alexa Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-1253
- [12:03] Gellan Glenelg: already assigned to Andrew (by Andrew).. but no internal ID
- [12:04] Squirrel Wood: hmm... I would say if someone sits on phantom prim, they become part of the linkset and thus phantom. So for me that works as it should.
- [12:04] Bridie Linden: Looks like this got re-broken?
- [12:04] Bridie Linden: Let's import
- [12:04] Alexa Linden: ok
- [12:04] Bridie Linden: Not sure Squirrel
- [12:04] Nya Linden: I vote import too.. because that seems llike an easy way to avoid damage.
- [12:05] Alexa Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-2502
- [12:07] Nya Linden: I vote import. It's a valid point about not changing legacy apis.
- [12:07] Bridie Linden: nods
- [12:07] Alexa Linden: assign to?
- [12:09] Nya Linden: hm. Viewer triage...?
- [12:09] Alexa Linden: k
- [12:09] Alexa Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-5949
- [12:10] Bridie Linden: I think Maggie meant to link to VWR-8841
- [12:10] Bridie Linden: Should we ask QA to try the places Maggie points to?
- [12:11] Alexa Linden: sure, I can ask
- [12:11] Alexa Linden: want me to import to them?
- [12:11] Nya Linden: yes.. and please change the link?
- [12:11] Alexa Linden: k
- [12:12] Bridie Linden: I'll add a comment real quick
- [12:12] Bridie Linden: er, should we just import VWR-8841?
- [12:12] Alexa Linden: we can do that too
- [12:13] Nya Linden: maybe import both? I can ask ramzi if he wants the RC crowd to take a look at 8841.
- [12:13] Alexa Linden: ok
- [12:13] Alexa Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-9340
- [12:14] Alexa Linden: I think this came from her patch last week that then went to Rx and they wanted it a bit different?
- [12:14] Alexa Linden: his?
- [12:14] Alexa Linden: so I'll import and send to Rx
- [12:14] Alexa Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-3146
- [12:15] Alexa Linden: this is imported already
- [12:15] Alexa Linden: I'll assign externally
- [12:15] Bridie Linden: ty
- [12:15] Alexa Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-9347
- [12:16] Nya Linden: what's up with the quiet triage today...?
- [12:17] Nya Linden: tries in vain to come up with a joke.
- [12:17] Bridie Linden: a case of the Mondays?
- [12:17] Chaos Mohr: is reading, absorbing, trying to learn something - lol
- [12:17] Gellan Glenelg: kinda inundated with IMs, sorry
- [12:17] stimpy Tripp: You Lindens are moving quickly. I have an issue, outside the agenda, but I'm waiting quietly until questions at the end. (:
- [12:17] Alexa Linden: throws popcorn at Bridie
- [12:17] Bridie Linden: catches popcorn in her mouth
- [12:17] Bridie Linden: yum!
- [12:17] Alexa Linden: does it have a pjira stimpy?
- [12:18] stimpy Tripp: [1]
- [12:18] stimpy Tripp: The black land underwater. Its got an internal dev, so does that mean it doesn't need brought up here?
- [12:18] Alexa Linden: no
- [12:18] Alexa Linden: we take all the externals
- [12:18] Alexa Linden: and in these meetings
- [12:18] Alexa Linden: we bring them to the Ljira side :)
- [12:19] Squirrel Wood: graphics drivers.. try to up or downgrade one version with the black ground
- [12:19] Alexa Linden: so that's how that one was move internally :)
- [12:19] Chaos Mohr: has an issue as well, with a pjira for the latest rc, but will also wait patiently :)
- [12:19] stimpy Tripp: Oh, thank you Squirrel. does the downgraded driver make other problems? I shoudl update it, as nvidia just upgraded their driver, and its broke
- [12:20] Chaos Mohr: nvidia driver updates are always a crapshoot
- [12:20] Alexa Linden: I haven't seen more problems from downgrading
- [12:20] stimpy Tripp: Latest rc has been crashing a bit for me.
- [12:20] Alexa Linden: it seems to fix this bug and a couple others
- [12:20] stimpy Tripp: okay, thank you.
- [12:20] Alexa Linden: but I can't recall it creating any new errors
- [12:20] Alexa Linden: squirrel? Gellan?
- [12:21] Gellan Glenelg: sorry - what's the question?>
- [12:21] Squirrel Wood: new drivers tend to break things so.. yes. don't always use the latest drivers unless you have a game that demands them :)
- [12:21] Alexa Linden: have you seen people have new problems by going back a driver version with Nvidia
- [12:21] Squirrel Wood: Nope
- [12:21] Gellan Glenelg: nope
- [12:21] Alexa Linden: Stimpy is having the black sea problem
- [12:21] Alexa Linden: great!
- [12:22] Alexa Linden: so try that Stimpy :)
- [12:22] stimpy Tripp: Cool, thank you.
- [12:22] Squirrel Wood: basically wait at least three months after a driver update is out... to be on the safe side ^^
- [12:22] Ellla McMahon: Nvidia 175.19 seems to have the least number of issues .. Does Water colour or Water Fog under Environment Editor make any difference ?
- [12:22] Alexa Linden: +1 Squirrel
- [12:22] stimpy Tripp: yes, turning off fog fixes the issue.
- [12:22] Squirrel Wood: turning off local lights may fix the black ground too
- [12:22] stimpy Tripp: yes, it does
- [12:23] Alexa Linden: drives the bus back on the road of Jira happiness
- [12:23] Alexa Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-9347
- [12:23] Nya Linden: back to that again?
- [12:24] Nya Linden: heh.
- [12:24] Chaos Mohr: Alexa if I may toss out the next one when finished with that one please?
- [12:24] Squirrel Wood: texture memory... had that one "reset" to 386 lately... despite the fact that my card has one gig on board..
- [12:24] Nya Linden: I feel like this needs a repro..
- [12:24] Nya Linden: oh.
- [12:24] Nya Linden: is that a repro, Squirrel? :)
- [12:24] Alexa Linden: sure Chaos :)
- [12:24] Squirrel Wood: I guess the last rc installation may have done it
- [12:24] Chaos Mohr: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-9351
- [12:24] Nya Linden: yes.. some settings get lost between installs.
- [12:25] Alexa Linden: k - one sec and let's finish with 9347
- [12:25] Squirrel Wood: manually corrected it and so far it stays at the proper value
- [12:25] Alexa Linden: try latest RC?
- [12:25] Nya Linden: Well.. I'm guessing it's a no repro, but can't really test it while in a meeting. :)
- [12:26] Nya Linden: put a last triaged date on it, and I'll put it in my list of things to deal with.
- [12:26] Alexa Linden: I'll mark to test after...
- [12:26] Alexa Linden: jinx
- [12:26] Alexa Linden: ok :)
- [12:26] Nya Linden: haha.. MINE!
- [12:26] Alexa Linden: so back to Chaos' https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-9351
- [12:26] Nya Linden: looks at Alexa fiercely.
- [12:28] Nya Linden: is anyone else here confused by this bug?
- [12:28] Nya Linden: heh.
- [12:28] Chaos Mohr: the picture explains it pretty well
- [12:28] Alexa Linden: I always then use the sort option
- [12:29] stimpy Tripp: I was trying to repo, but just got blocked by land store. (: I understand Chaos point though.
- [12:29] Nya Linden: picture > 1000 words.. definitely.
- [12:29] Alexa Linden: I guess I've always seen kind of a mixed bag when I do a search
- [12:29] Chaos Mohr: this is the first time I had seen this behavoir actually, and I use land search a lot :)
- [12:29] Alexa Linden: I check area and 512
- [12:30] Alexa Linden: and I get much larger
- [12:30] Alexa Linden: so I'm not sure if it's 512 and above?
- [12:30] Alexa Linden: or if it should be just 512?
- [12:30] Gellan Glenelg: "Area >= sq. m."
- [12:30] Chaos Mohr: oh its 512 and above greater than/equal to :)
- [12:31] Gellan Glenelg: tho I agree the ability to be able to search for <= too, would be good - but that's a feature request
- [12:31] Alexa Linden: I do think it's a bit confusing
- [12:31] stimpy Tripp: I have an example?
- [12:31] Alexa Linden: I've gotten used to it so I then just do a sort to get to the 512's
- [12:32] Alexa Linden: a range might be a nice feature
- [12:32] stimpy Tripp: wait, my example proves its working right.
- [12:32] Alexa Linden: like on realty sites
- [12:32] Chaos Mohr: hmmm I cannot repro this atm, though I did multiple times the other day and had others confirm - is this code done viewer side or server? as far as the query result sets?
- [12:33] Bridie Linden: is confused by picture in PJIRA
- [12:33] stimpy Tripp: (drat!)
- [12:33] Chaos Mohr: look at the prices :) they get lower as you go down the list
- [12:33] Gellan Glenelg: I know that each click on a column heading counts as another search (can give the 'too many searches..please wait"-type error), so the ordering could well be server-side
- [12:34] Chaos Mohr: and the sort is set lower to higher
- [12:34] Nya Linden: so.... tell me if I'm understanding right:
- [12:35] Chaos Mohr: but it only happens in the subsets of the .1 L$/m groupings
- [12:35] stimpy Tripp: oh! right Chaos. When i do a search for mainland, and matuere only, there is a block of 512's that start at 1813 and go down to 1790
- [12:35] Nya Linden: when you search, by default it orders by L$/sq, lowest to higher. Each grouping within that isn't sorted at all..
- [12:35] Nya Linden: correct?
- [12:35] Chaos Mohr: ie 3.4 is before 3.5 but within the 3.5 subset the values are sorted backwards, higher to lower
- [12:35] stimpy Tripp: The l/qm is going from low to high, but within subgroups, the price goes high to low.
- [12:35] Nya Linden: I don't see them sorted higher to lower within 3.4
- [12:36] Nya Linden: I see no sort order at all within the 3.4 subset.
- [12:36] Bridie Linden: Me either
- [12:36] Nya Linden: I think it's not doing any secondary sorting past the first L4/sq
- [12:36] Nya Linden: L$, that is
- [12:37] stimpy Tripp: That could be, Nya.
- [12:37] Chaos Mohr: once you click sort once, ALL following result sets will be grouped based upon the last colum you click and the next, but that's a whole other issue
- [12:37] Chaos Mohr: this looks like it may have been resolved server side already, as I can't seem to repro it again currently
- [12:38] Nya Linden: heh. I'm so confused. So what I see is this:
- [12:38] Nya Linden: If I sort by L$ Price by clicking there, and then click on L$/sq, the subgroups are now sorted by price.
- [12:38] Nya Linden: that seems like the correct behavior to me.
- [12:38] Chaos Mohr: but I swear it was like this yesterday, and the day before
- [12:39] Chaos Mohr: honestly I didn't photoshop the picture :P
- [12:39] Nya Linden: heh. Understood.
- [12:39] Alexa Linden: hahahahhaa
- [12:39] Nya Linden: I think it's working as designed right now.. anyone disagree..?
- [12:39] Chaos Mohr: if I see it again, I will post more explanatory photos
- [12:39] Alexa Linden: thanks Chaos :)
- [12:40] Alexa Linden: next up is https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-5023
- [12:40] Chaos Mohr: actually I'm thrilled that it's working now - now I can actually use this viewer full time :))
- [12:40] Nya Linden: Ty Chaos - let's mark it as needs more info for now and note that it looks like it is sorting correctly.
- [12:40] Nya Linden: heh. one less bug is always a good thing. :)
- [12:40] Chaos Mohr: ty for taking the time :))
- [12:40] Nya Linden: thanks for bringing it to us!
- [12:41] Gellan Glenelg: lemme upload a jpg version....
- [12:41] Alexa Linden: update to latest RC
- [12:41] Alexa Linden: this is Feb.
- [12:41] Nya Linden: I'm wondering if it set the video graphics too low?
- [12:41] Alexa Linden: we've now entered.... the oldie Zone
- [12:41] Alexa Linden: O.o
- [12:41] Bridie Linden: o.O
- [12:41] Alexa Linden: <.<
- [12:41] Alexa Linden: >.>
- [12:41] stimpy Tripp: I had that bug with the very earliest versions of windlight.
- [12:42] Alexa Linden: latest RC and updated drivers?
- [12:42] Nya Linden: sure.
- [12:42] Alexa Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-8780
- [12:42] Alexa Linden: august
- [12:43] Nya Linden: import and give to danica.
- [12:43] Alexa Linden: k
- [12:44] Alexa Linden: weeeee nov. 2007
- [12:44] Alexa Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/WEB-187
- [12:44] Alexa Linden: I'll ask lex if it's still a problem
- [12:44] Alexa Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-1306
- [12:46] Gellan Glenelg: jpg screenshot there now
- [12:47] Alexa Linden: thanks Gellan!
- [12:47] Alexa Linden: I've seen this but it seems to be random
- [12:47] Alexa Linden: and here one day gone the next
- [12:48] Chaos Mohr: sorry had to relog to see, but yes that bug is there, it is a bug with the default land search sort order, it will not repro once you sort by a column - and there is a defualt sort order, there always has been, it's set at L$/sqm to the hundedth decimal place - please look into this further :)
- [12:48] Alexa Linden: can you add that to the notes Chaos?
- [12:48] Alexa Linden: comments*
- [12:48] Chaos Mohr: I will thanks :)
- [12:49] Alexa Linden: thank you :)
- [12:49] Nya Linden: Alexa - did you want to import and send that to RX (the one from Chaos)?
- [12:49] Alexa Linden: sure
- [12:49] Chaos Mohr: if they have any questions please have them contact me, Land seach is one thing I know very well :)
- [12:50] Nya Linden: heh. will do!
- [12:50] Nya Linden: as for 1306 - lets send to viewer triage.
- [12:51] Alexa Linden: kk
- [12:51] Alexa Linden: and our last one for to day is.....
- [12:51] Alexa Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/WEB-148
- [12:51] Alexa Linden: from 2007
- [12:52] Alexa Linden: I can easily test this
- [12:52] Alexa Linden: I'll send a fun one to support and see what happens :P
- [12:52] Alexa Linden: maybe complain about the weather and ask them to fix it
- [12:53] stimpy Tripp: At work, we have a spam filter that drops stuff that's 'too spammy'. I know most of the autogenerated items go to spam, I wonder if those are getting dropped?
- [12:53] Alexa Linden: good question stimpy
- [12:53] Alexa Linden: I can test - post results and ask them if it's still a problem and to check spam filters and spam box
- [12:53] stimpy Tripp: I'd personally hesitate to answer such an old jira, but if I did, I'd ask to list their spam filter, if they even know..
- [12:54] Nya Linden: gmail is mentioned. I have a gmail account that we could try with.
- [12:54] stimpy Tripp: we use gmail that's still routed through a local spam filter. (:
- [12:54] Alexa Linden: ya, I'll set my email to that before testing
- [12:54] Alexa Linden: and that's it for our Monday!
- [12:54] Nya Linden: cool. thx
- [12:54] Alexa Linden: thank you all for coming and your suggestions and help!
- [12:54] Gellan Glenelg: thanks all
- [12:55] Nya Linden: yep! Thank you.. your help is always appreciated.
- [12:55] Alexa Linden: I'll see some of you Wednesday :)
- [12:55] stimpy Tripp: Thanks for the chair, Alexa.
- [12:55] Alexa Linden: same bat place... same bat channel
- [12:55] stimpy Tripp: And thank you for the help, Squirrel.
- [12:55] Alexa Linden: my pleasure Stimpy :)
- [12:55] Alexa Linden: I hope all the suggestions help you out
- [12:55] stimpy Tripp: oh sure.
