- [12:08] Soft Linden: We do block LSL from accessing SL services. But search may be a reasonable one to allow.

- [12:09] Gordon Wendt: This may be due to the whole profile image being projected in world issue
- [12:10] Soft Linden: I wouldn't be surprised if we don't unblock it, but instead come back to find out what kinds of info people want to read from search, and expose something more LSL-friendly.

- [12:10] Gordon Wendt: even though to my knowledge those still work by grabbing it although with "TOS compliance" changes

- [12:10] Soft Linden: It was probaly just blocked with all the back end servers that we don't want anyone hitting.

- [12:10] Squirrel Wood: check how much header data is sent before the document body. if its more than 2kb... forget it :p

- [12:11] Latif Khalifa: you can lookup parcel and profile data from search result pages
- [12:11] Gordon Wendt: having it's own LSL command would be nice and that way you could also throttle it to prevent someone DOSing it intentionally or unintentionally

- [12:17] Latif Khalifa: the patch has a side effect of having initial position of the floater in the left bottom part of the screen
- [12:17] Prospero Linden: is happy to see this fixed
- [12:17] Soft Linden: We can fix that, but the patch gives a Linden 2/3 of what they need to do it
- [12:17] Soft Linden: So it's a huge win

- [12:23] Gordon Wendt: Seems to be a simple issue of the fact that certificates are anal retentive that you use the same address and same protocol every single time

- [12:24] Gellan Glenelg: I know it was reported as a "bug" a few times last week
- [12:24] Soft Linden: We put it in when there were havok4 vs havok1 sims. The differences are much smaller now.

- [12:24] Gordon Wendt: Prospero, there are situations where having it is great so removing it outright is probably a bad idea but an option for the viewer to hide it would be nice
- [12:24] Latif Khalifa: yeah i agree, pretty useless these days
- [12:24] Prospero Linden: We've also discussed having it on different channels rather than different versions.
- [12:24] Squirrel Wood: the message itself is okay. it it would actually tell you the server version or something
- [12:24] Soft Linden: Should add an option to disable it, save it for havok5 or nuttier.
- [12:24] Prospero Linden: Although that might create other issues.

- [12:25] Prospero Linden: NOwadays, though, when you click on it you should be getting a valid web address
- [12:25] Gellan Glenelg: you DO get a valie webpage...
- [12:25] Gellan Glenelg: but that page has an invalid link to support
- [12:25] Latif Khalifa: and annoying if your own region is in a test roll, meaning you have a week of "region is running different..." message on each teleport
- [12:25] Gordon Wendt: by tommorow morning it should be gone though since that's when the final restart is scheduled I think for the rollup to 1.24.9

- [12:27] Alexa Linden: have to love the ones that freeze your brain over just trying to read them

- [12:28] Gordon Wendt: Apparently a change was made to essentially have all issues point people to the JIRA if they have a bug so we get a ton of no text other than the summary field and wall of text ones
- [12:28] Squirrel Wood: How about the underlying code forces page breaks after so many chars/sentences ?
- [12:28] Squirrel Wood: or line breaks even
- [12:29] Gordon Wendt: really most of these people should be being directed to the KB or to support
- [12:29] Gordon Wendt: and/or
- [12:29] Prospero Linden: The real problem is that this guy writes in stream-of-consciousness
- [12:29] Alexa Linden: yes, there we a couple of places/things thatdid that gordon
- [12:29] Prospero Linden: Which sometimes gets considered High Literature, but I never found that very easy to read either
- [12:29] Alexa Linden: I guess some helpers were handing out notecards
- [12:29] Latif Khalifa: Squirrel, well its not that wide spread problem, so its probably not too wise to make a technological solution to it :)

- [12:31] Gordon Wendt: I should put a feature request in at Atlassian for a way to automatically close issues with a specific reason that are over x old and/or have y as an effected version where y is something grossly outdated
