[11:58] Alexa Linden: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Bug_triage/Monday_Agenda
[11:59] xstorm Radek: yes your broken Mala
[11:59] Techwolf Lupindo: I see Oz is nearby...
[11:59] Alexa Linden: Hi Liisa :) Hi Ardy :)
[11:59] Kaluura Boa: Hello
[11:59] Malarthi Behemoth: I'm not broken xstorm.
[11:59] Malarthi Behemoth: I'm simply not casting shadows, and for a very good reason.
[11:59] xstorm Radek: yes you are
[11:59] Ardy Lay: Hi Alexa
[11:59] Liisa Runo: the sim is super laggy, i cleaned 200 physical bullets from the retard no-autoreturn parcel in NE corner, but there is still too many phys crap in this sim
[12:00] Alexa Linden: and here he is!
[12:00] Alexa Linden: For those just joining is
[12:00] Alexa Linden: today's agenda is http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Bug_triage/Monday_Agenda
[12:01] Malarthi Behemoth: Ye of little faith Techwolf
[12:01] xstorm Radek: ITS COGS :-)
[12:01] Alexa Linden: First up, we have https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-5287
[12:01] Mono compiled scripts fail to properly convert float to string
[12:02] Aargle Zymurgy: haloooo everyone!
[12:02] Alexa Linden: reported against Emerald.......
[12:02] Aargle ZymurgyAargle Zymurgy peeks at Oz's profile
[12:03] Cogsworth Linden: hmm mono is serverside, so viewer probably shouldn't be a factor
[12:03] xstorm Radek: they have problems with emerald so much of the times it not funny
[12:03] Malarthi Behemoth: It is however an SVC bug. If accurately filed, it shouldn't make a whit of difference.
[12:03] Alexa LindenAlexa Linden nods
[12:04] Malarthi Behemoth: (Why they can't put their environment in the Environment section is another question, however.)
[12:04] xstorm Radek: i can not beta tes any thing but Viewer 2
[12:04] Techwolf Lupindo: Too many knee jerk closing of bugs due to emerald when they accure in all viewers.
[12:04] Malarthi Behemoth: Also hi Cogs.
[12:04] xstorm Radek: test
[12:04] Cogsworth Linden: halo
[12:04] Cogsworth Linden: Halllooooo
[12:04] xstorm Radek: hi Oz
[12:05] xstorm Radek: i feel when people do the bug testing that Emerald users do need there own Jira type
[12:06] Alexa Linden: not really xstorm
[12:06] Malarthi Behemoth: They have their own bug reporting system for viewer based bugs.
[12:06] Alexa Linden: they need to refer to our viewers
[12:06] Malarthi Behemoth: If it's an SVC or WEB bug, Emerald doesn't enter into the equation
[12:06] Alexa Linden: as we can only triage our own code
[12:07] xstorm Radek: ok you tell me how will you know what viewer they are using if they forget to report there viewer type ?
[12:07] Alexa Linden: and yes mal, that's correct and we try to take that into account for the proper types of issues
[12:07] xstorm Radek: and is Linden Lab doing support for Emerald ?
[12:07] Alexa Linden: touche xstorm
[12:07] xstorm Radek: and going to be programing Emerald ?
[12:07] Alexa Linden: now back to the issue at hand
[12:08] Alexa Linden: Cogs?
[12:08] xstorm Radek: ok
[12:08] Cogsworth Linden: yes import it
[12:08] Alexa Linden: ok
[12:08] xstorm Radek: i will be good or try
[12:08] Alexa Linden: lol
[12:08] Alexa Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-5894
[12:08] New LSL function - llGetAgentRealSize() which reports the correct agent size as opposed to llGetAgentSize() which can't be fixed because of backward compatibility
[12:09] Malarthi Behemoth: Feature suggestion?
[12:09] Aargle Zymurgy: is that the function people ignore when it tells them they are 9'2" tall?
[12:09] Liisa Runo: we can detect boundaring box, usually more accurate compared to llGetAgentSize
[12:09] xstorm Radek: LSL i hope will soon no longer be used
[12:09] Alexa Linden: Hey Opensource :)
[12:09] Opensource Obscure: hey everybody.
[12:10] xstorm Radek: why keep using it ?
[12:10] Malarthi Behemoth: I will use LSL until it is pried from my cold dead hands :x
[12:10] xstorm Radek: hi Open
[12:10] Techwolf Lupindo: LSL is getting more popular due to the mono bug.
[12:10] Liisa Runo: mono = LSL
[12:10] Aargle Zymurgy: which bug is that?
[12:10] xstorm Radek: thats why we need C#
[12:10] Aargle ZymurgyAargle Zymurgy seconds xstorm
[12:10] xstorm Radek: drop all of the LSL
[12:10] Techwolf Lupindo: C# will still have the mono bug.
[12:11] Kaluura Boa: C#... Not until X-Mas... if you're good...
[12:11] Malarthi Behemoth: Two Weeks™
[12:11] Aargle Zymurgy: which mono bug is that?
[12:11] Ardy Lay: SVC-3895
[12:11] Rezzing Mono scripted object cripples sim FPS
[12:11] Oz Linden: There is a lot of LSL in the world. There is no way it will be dropped
[12:11] xstorm Radek: Tech i have seen no bug in C#
[12:11] Techwolf Lupindo: The one that causes sim to freezed for upto 30 seconds.
[12:11] Liisa Runo: i understood that LL has already done something to fix 3895
[12:12] Techwolf Lupindo: C# uses the same mono engine, LSL doesn't.
[12:12] Aargle Zymurgy: oh, yes... that probably explains why I got a complaint that my sim stalls every time someone rezzes in
[12:12] xstorm Radek: ok then you are saying we will need two platforms and viewer types soon Oz !
[12:12] Cogsworth Linden: I think this is a feature request. There's currently a lot going on in the scripting world
[12:12] Malarthi Behemoth: Meanwhile back in Triage land...
[12:12] Liisa Runo: yes it is feature request
[12:12] xstorm Radek: i will not pay to support older out dated scrips that lag
[12:12] Techwolf Lupindo: Features request are on a hold untill C# comes out, I think.
[12:13] Alexa Linden: I'll move over to FR
[12:13] Alexa Linden: and update
[12:13] Cogsworth Linden: Okay
[12:13] Alexa Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-15563
[12:13] Client gives up before finishing to load full inventory due to packet loss
[12:13] Techwolf Lupindo: Thats an SVC issues really. SIM gives up due to packet lose and never tries again.
[12:14] Cogsworth Linden: ah. there's some work going into this we should see soon
[12:14] xstorm Radek: i was getting that with the old viewer but not the new viewer 2 but my wife is getting that load problem still
[12:14] xstorm Radek: i think its some missing items calls on the data base
[12:14] xstorm Radek: thats hanging it
[12:15] Cogsworth Linden: There are changes coming out that will address issues like this.
[12:15] Techwolf Lupindo: The bug is problelly on both sides. Both sim and client need some proper re-try code.
[12:15] Ardy Lay: Could https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-5713 be considered related as they seem to have a common cause?
[12:15] ParcelAccessListReply packets have no reliable end of list indication, leading to possible data loss
[12:15] Opensource Obscure: interesting, cogsworth -. that' s network or db stuff?
[12:15] Cogsworth Linden: I would probably like to wait on this one until we get that code out
[12:15] Alexa Linden: I will move to SVC and find the internal issue to tie to this
[12:16] Cogsworth Linden: Bit of both. Not working directly with the changes., but it has been affecting testing
[12:16] xstorm Radek: ok why is this starting to look like some one needs to look at there data base ?
[12:16] Alexa Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-4120
[12:16] When dragging item from notecard to inventory, it's put into Landmarks / Objects / Notecards / etc., instead of where it's dragged
[12:17] Malarthi Behemoth: Working as intended?
[12:17] Cogsworth Linden: hmm this happening in the current 2.0.1 viewer?
[12:17] xstorm Radek: i can not test that do to Viewer 2 is not having that problem
[12:17] Alexa Linden: says 1.23
[12:17] Alexa Linden: I'd like to know that too
[12:17] Alexa Linden: and is this a bug or Feature Request
[12:17] Opensource Obscure: it's put into Landmarks / Objects / Notecards / etc., instead of where it's dragged
[12:17] Cogsworth Linden: yeah we're not likely to make any changes in 1.23.X
[12:18] Opensource Obscure: wrong folder
[12:18] Cogsworth Linden: this would be a bug if it still happens
[12:18] Malarthi Behemoth: Still happens.
[12:18] Cogsworth Linden: which viewer
[12:18] xstorm Radek: can any one get it to happen in viewer 2 ?
[12:19] Opensource Obscure: if it happens in a 1.23.x, it may affect 1.x snowglobe
[12:19] Liisa Runo: no one know, no one use v2
[12:19] Malarthi Behemoth: "You have added "Foundations Theatre, Foundations (120, 241, 36)" to your Landmarks folder." in SNOW 2.0.1 r3339
[12:19] Opensource Obscure: that i'm not running at the moment. will try repro later
[12:19] xstorm Radek: i use Viewer 2
[12:19] xstorm Radek: i can not get it to happen
[12:19] Opensource Obscure: I use it as well.
[12:19] Opensource Obscure: just to say.
[12:19] Alexa Linden: NMI - and if anyone else can repro in V2?
[12:19] Imaze Rhiano: hi
[12:19] xstorm Radek: let me try with hair
[12:20] Cogsworth Linden: if it happens in snowglobe or 2.0.1, yeah we should import it
[12:20] Alexa Linden: kk
[12:20] Malarthi Behemoth: Cogs, I just tried, it does.
[12:20] Alexa Linden: Mal, can you please update with your version?
[12:20] Malarthi Behemoth: Sure
[12:20] Alexa Linden: thanks, I'll import this
[12:20] Cogsworth Linden: can you ... what alexa said? then import
[12:20] Cogsworth Linden: thanks
[12:20] Alexa Linden: :D
[12:20] Alexa Linden: next up is https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-4325
[12:20] Unable to apply no-copy texture to prim from UI texture picker, but able to via script
[12:21] Liisa Runo: Popup: "You are attempting to set a texture no-copy! Come on, dont be an ass, no-copy textures are useless."
[12:21] Opensource Obscure: eww i repro that on V2
[12:21] Alexa Linden: lol Liisa
[12:21] Opensource Obscure: (( sorry i meant VWR 4120 ))
[12:21] Malarthi Behemoth: Snowglobe 2.0.1 is an unrealeased version, correct? Snowglobe Test Build?
[12:21] Malarthi Behemoth: *unreleased
[12:21] Alexa Linden: Thanks Open, I'l importing 4120
[12:21] Imaze Rhiano: expected behaviour
[12:22] Imaze Rhiano: VWR-4325
[12:22] Techwolf Lupindo: 2.0.1 is getting all the 1.4 ports right now so a 2.0.1 release can be done'
[12:22] xstorm Radek: no i still can not get that error on viewer 2 so the notecard bug is not a bug for viewer 2
[12:22] Aargle Zymurgy: reading over 4325... that sounds like it does what it's supposed to
[12:22] Alexa Linden: ya, I'm sort of with you on that Imaze
[12:23] Liisa Runo: yup
[12:23] Malarthi Behemoth: Alexa, done.
[12:23] Alexa Linden: keeps you from losing your texture
[12:23] Aargle Zymurgy: "A hollow voice intones 'that's not a bug... that's a feature'"
[12:23] Alexa Linden: lol
[12:23] Imaze Rhiano: :P
[12:23] Cogsworth Linden: yeah, I concur, seems intended
[12:23] Aargle Zymurgy: or was it the hollow voice that says "plugh!"
[12:23] xstorm Radek: so if Viewer 2 is working with Notecards right what can you do ?
[12:23] Alexa Linden: EB it is!
[12:24] Alexa Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-7972
[12:24] Grid Extents not completely visible
[12:24] Aargle ZymurgyAargle Zymurgy is dating himself with that comment
[12:24] Alexa Linden: year old
[12:25] Alexa Linden: still a problem?
[12:25] xstorm Radek: i have never seen that bug ?
[12:25] xstorm Radek: how and why are they getting that ?
[12:26] Alexa Linden: reading McCabe's response.....
[12:27] Alexa Linden: seeing the last comment, I still would like to know if this is still an issue
[12:27] xstorm Radek: lol
[12:28] xstorm Radek: i think they are trying to go bigger then a 10X10 sczle
[12:28] xstorm Radek: scale
[12:28] Alexa Linden: ya, that's what I'm thinking
[12:28] Cogsworth Linden: I think that needs to be rewirtten to be more clear about what the issue is
[12:28] Alexa Linden: +1 cogs
[12:28] Opensource Obscure: ?
[12:28] xstorm Radek: i remember when there was the hole that let you scale bigger then 10x10
[12:28] Cogsworth Linden: it's kinda smelling like a FR
[12:28] Opensource Obscure: isnt clear?
[12:29] Opensource Obscure: there are steps. did you try repro?
[12:29] xstorm Radek: i vote for cogs
[12:29] Alexa Linden: I'll mark as needs more info and ask both questions
[12:29] xstorm Radek: it needs a redo
[12:30] Opensource Obscure: we're not voting here, xstorm.
[12:30] Imaze Rhiano: there are steps - but I think it is only relevant to test it in v2
[12:30] xstorm Radek: lol
[12:30] xstorm Radek: i like to vote
[12:30] Alexa Linden: and I;'ll ask if this is still an issue in V2
[12:30] Cogsworth Linden: I think I see what they are asking about. And it might not be currently implimented
[12:31] Alexa Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-14315
[12:31] Snapshot Preview shows cropped view
[12:31] xstorm Radek: what is it a old grid layout ?
[12:31] Cogsworth Linden: yeah Import this ALexa, I'm still seeing this in the latest build
[12:31] Opensource Obscure: i confirm this and it also affects V2.
[12:31] Alexa Linden: yup
[12:31] Alexa Linden: importing
[12:32] Alexa Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/WEB-2035
[12:32] com feedback survey appears on every page load of the session, ignores "don't ask again
[12:32] Imaze Rhiano: confirms :P
[12:32] Alexa Linden: this drives me nuts
[12:32] Alexa Linden: lol
[12:32] Opensource Obscure: that happens to me but I thought it was because I clear my cookies.
[12:32] Opensource Obscure: mmm, cookies.
[12:32] Malarthi Behemoth: Oh god I need cookies now
[12:32] Imaze Rhiano: chocolate cookies?
[12:32] Alexa Linden: ya, I thought that too Open
[12:32] Malarthi Behemoth: Thanks Opensource >.<
[12:32] Alexa Linden: until it happend at home
[12:33] Alexa Linden: importing
[12:33] Cogsworth Linden: eew. yeah send it to the web team
[12:33] Malarthi Behemoth: Because you shop till you drop Alexa :p
[12:33] Ellla McMahon: thanks !!! :))
[12:33] Alexa Linden: not so!
[12:33] xstorm Radek: ?
[12:33] Alexa Linden: I.. I...
[12:33] Opensource Obscure: no, mandorla cookies
[12:33] Alexa Linden: I research dammit!
[12:33] Malarthi Behemoth: Thank you Cogs!
[12:33] Alexa Linden: that's what I do
[12:33] Oz Linden: I've been getting that quite a lot
[12:33] Alexa Linden: <.<
[12:33] Alexa Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-5251
[12:33] Offline messages not being sent to email
[12:33] Oz Linden: often many times in one session
[12:33] Malarthi BehemothMalarthi Behemoth is out of food, so prims look quite tasty.
[12:34] Imaze Rhiano: this could have numerious reasons - but at least I am receiving emails...
[12:34] Alexa Linden: I am too
[12:34] Alexa Linden: all weekend long
[12:34] Alexa Linden: every weekend
[12:34] Malarthi Behemoth: Could just be a provider thing.
[12:34] Alexa Linden: they all seem to find me :D
[12:34] Imaze Rhiano: could be that their email provider is filtering secondlife messages
[12:34] Malarthi Behemoth: sonic.net does that
[12:34] Alexa Linden: ya, I did notice long ago, it depended on the service
[12:34] Alexa Linden: hotmail ate mine
[12:34] Malarthi Behemoth: I had to whitelist secondlife.com
[12:35] Malarthi Behemoth: It still gets flagged as spam
[12:35] Malarthi Behemoth: I think you guys are on a couple of known spammer lists
[12:35] Cogsworth Linden: hmm no problems with my gmail accounts
[12:35] Cogsworth Linden: :P
[12:35] Malarthi Behemoth: Gmail is Gmail <.<
[12:35] Alexa Linden: gmail is good for me
[12:35] Alexa Linden: yahoo has gone back and forth
[12:35] Alexa Linden: one year, it ate them
[12:35] Alexa Linden: next year it was fine
[12:36] Cogsworth Linden: yeah I think it isn't ours
[12:36] Ardy Lay: Hmm... I know some people with this issue that say it's intermittant.
[12:36] Alexa Linden: exactly Ardy
[12:36] Alexa Linden: I don't know really what we can do to help this
[12:37] Alexa Linden: I can mark this as under advisement
[12:37] Opensource Obscure: if your domains are being blocked you should be able to verify it
[12:37] Ardy Lay: Well, they also say the messages that are missing are NOT being dropped by their mailserver.
[12:37] Cogsworth Linden: this would be a support thing, and if they saw anything, then they would deal with it
[12:37] Opensource Obscure: domains or IP ranges
[12:37] Ardy Lay: I'll ask them to comment on this JIRA.
[12:37] Alexa Linden: Thanks Ardy
[12:38] Imaze Rhiano: maybe you could allow poeple to read offline IMs and notices from secondlife.com webpages?
[12:38] Opensource Obscure: that d be great.
[12:38] Alexa Linden: in addition, I'm sure this is a dup.....
[12:38] Cogsworth Linden: ooh that would be a nice feature request
[12:38] Alexa Linden: that's a great idea Imaze!
[12:39] xstorm Radek: crap i just got a bug to happen with snapshots
[12:39] Malarthi Behemoth: Copying EVEGate? :x
[12:39] Alexa Linden: one stop shopping and see them all in one spot
[12:39] Opensource Obscure: xstorm: check it's filed and linked to VWR-7709
[12:39]
[12:39] Oz Linden: have them site specific messages - it should be possible to look at the SL server logs to see if they were sent
[12:39] xstorm Radek: my screen has gone full black
[12:39] Jonathan Yap: You might want some way of saving them, too, especially if they have an attachment
[12:40] Alexa Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-1797
[12:40] On sim border crossing, seated avatar pos/rot changs made with llSetLinkPrimitiveParams are reverted
[12:40] Cogsworth Linden: I would like to know if this one is still true.
[12:41] Alexa Linden: I would too
[12:41] xstorm Radek: crap
[12:41] Opensource Obscure: we should have a neighbor region for tests here : )
[12:41] Liisa Runo: unless fixed in coule months, it is still happening
[12:41] Alexa Linden: jinx
[12:41] Alexa Linden: I was thinking the same thing
[12:41] Cogsworth LindenCogsworth Linden read ahead
[12:42] Liisa Runo: it was happening last time i checked, but im been kinda AFK about 2 months now
[12:42] Opensource Obscure: or, we may move to Island for Unit Tests for once
[12:42] xstorm Radek: sorry i can not move brb
[12:42] Imaze Rhiano: Duplicate for https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-4723 - that is resolved
[12:42] Effects of llSetLinkPrimitiveParams on seated avatars lost on region change
[12:42] Oz LindenOz Linden is working on getting an adjacent region
[12:42] Liisa Runo: anyway, it dont revert the values, it put agent back to sit target
[12:43] Opensource Obscure: hooo! : )
[12:43] Cogsworth Linden: yeah I'd wait until 1.40 comes out, and see if it still repros
[12:43] Alexa Linden: I can update the triage date
[12:43] Alexa Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-2156
[12:43] Reverts to previous rotation when prim becomes physical
[12:43] Alexa Linden: Go go Imaze!
[12:44] Imaze Rhiano: confirmed
[12:44] Imaze Rhiano: tonight
[12:44] Alexa Linden: thanks :)
[12:44] Cogsworth Linden: yeah import
[12:44] Alexa Linden: yup
[12:45] Alexa Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-2234
[12:45] Gain of collision and ground collision sounds seems wrong
[12:45] Cogsworth Linden: a lot of these physics ones will need to be rechecked with the next server release
[12:46] Alexa Linden: Do you want me to just update the triage date for this?
[12:46] xstorm Radek: Cogs i love computer physics
[12:46] Cogsworth Linden: hmm importable this one, though probably gonna be low priority
[12:46] Alexa Linden: ok
[12:46] Cogsworth Linden: Yeah that might be good
[12:46] Alexa Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-2424
[12:46] is sometimes inaccurate
[12:47] Cogsworth Linden: eeep ancient this one
[12:47] Cogsworth Linden: please retest?
[12:47] Alexa Linden: ok
[12:48] Imaze Rhiano: eek... you can't rezz anymore here?
[12:48] Aargle Zymurgy: yeah.... I noticed that earlier
[12:48] Alexa Linden: ok go for it
[12:48]
[12:48] Alexa Linden: fixed and shortened auto return
[12:49] xstorm Radek: yes you can not rez but i can
[12:49] xstorm Radek: lol
[12:49] Alexa Linden: make triaging rather challenging
[12:49] xstorm Radek: ;-)
[12:49] Malarthi BehemothMalarthi Behemoth uses the new buildability to grief everyone
[12:49] xstorm Radek: lol
[12:49] Alexa LindenAlexa Linden banzzors Mal :p
[12:49] Alexa Linden: next up - https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-3580
[12:49] Plywood box rezzer at ANWR throws new boxes instead of dropping them unless av stands on platform
[12:49] Alexa Linden: This should probably go to Linden Builds
[12:50] Cogsworth Linden: another ancient one. Yes
[12:50] Liisa Runo: release the moles
[12:50] Alexa Linden: lol
[12:50] xstorm Radek: poor moles
[12:50] Alexa Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-3695
[12:50] fails when owner not present
[12:50] Liisa Runo: 3659 is caused by the group thing mentioned in comments. Very annoying and difficult to detect since your not there when it happens. This is also part of one trick to put TD and FPS to 0.1 and keep it there.
[12:50] xstorm Radek: OMG!! OOOPPPSSS
[12:51] Aargle Zymurgy: depending on the land settings, that sounds normal, too.
[12:52] Liisa Runo: seriously, should not make any difference if owner is around or not, the object that is set to group should be able to rez
[12:52] Liisa Runo: but since it cant, it can totally lag the sim instead, there is some goo there
[12:52] xstorm Radek: may need to be look at and updated its like the 2003 community items venders when they got broken later on
[12:52] Aargle Zymurgy: I have an object that works that way... forgot to set to the right group and it failed with teh owner gone
[12:53] Cogsworth Linden: hmm worth importing and Qa try to repro I think
[12:53] Liisa Runo: fails even when in right group if i remember properly (Kaluura, you remember better?)
[12:53] Alexa Linden: agreeed - importing
[12:54] Kaluura Boa: Yep...
[12:54] xstorm Radek: yes please import
[12:54] Alexa Linden: last one for the day is.....
[12:54] Alexa Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-387
[12:54] Timers in scripts stop after server crash
[12:54] Liisa Runo: spooky
[12:54] Cogsworth Linden: oooh wandering monsters... I need to see that
[12:54] Malarthi Behemoth: Isn't that how a timer works?
