- [15:04] ANSI Soderstrom: i found nothing, i had a lazy SL week
- [15:04] Motor Loon: know the person who found the most has to run around the sim naked for hour
- [15:04] Kitto Flora: is trying to file a bug, but it s a resurface of a H4 bug and is hard to find.
- [15:05] FireFox Breed: just found a weapon that works fine ont he maid grid that crashs h7. found it yesterday n did not get a bug report filed yet

- [15:06] Oskar Linden: we are doing a daily analysis of the shippable state and I need to know about the crashers

- [15:07] xstorm Radek: Oskar there is a group of people that are crashing sims on Agni too and i have been trying to get all the data from them crash looked at too

- [15:07] Ovaltine Constantine: Whats the status of the region crossing improvement? I heard it had been turned off because it caused problems. Has it been fixed / turned back on yet?

- [15:08] FireFox Breed: also do you think it is possable we could have a sim, that is sl damage that we can set homepoints on? even better if the sim we use for sl combat could be brought online on the beta grid, i can pack it with 30 people easlyt

- [15:08] Simon Linden: Right Shamus ... we actually found that the LLSD class (it's low level, also used on the viewer) wasn't thread safe

- [15:09] Oskar Linden: FireFox what about the combat testing sims?
- [15:09] Kitto Flora: Simon, what can you fix on region crossings?

- [15:09] SHAMUS Carter: so use a land mark
- [15:10] Simon Linden: The code that will hopefully go in 1.42 will make it better for other folks in the regoin ... they will get less lag when people TP in or objects and AVs region cross
- [15:10] Lestat Umarov: The problem with doing that is every time someone enters the sim it lags.
- [15:10] FireFox Breed: that would work but then you get the lag of tping in and out

- [15:10] Williamca Zenovka: Well, what we want to do is a rather large stress test. With a one sim combat, with a hub point for people to set homes. This way to test physics, failed tps, and various other things.

- [15:11] Latif Khalifa: sends obligatory reminder to Simon not to forget derez/agent leaving, which is just as bad :)
- [15:11] FireFox Breed: yea mono lag and when peole go into the sim while its under stress, it locks for 1 sec
- [15:11] SHAMUS Carter: the tp lag still has not been fixed as there fix was broke and it's a mono bug
- [15:11] xstorm Radek: only a sec lag
- [15:11] SHAMUS Carter: they need to up there disto or somthing
- [15:12] Eddi Decosta: lag? what t?!?
- [15:12] FireFox Breed: when you got over 60 objects rezing and de rezing every second it puts alot of stress on it. so little things like people coming into the sim n the mono issue locks the sim up

- [15:12] Oskar Linden: yeah. there are a lot of things waiting on mono getting upgraded
- [15:12] Simon Linden: Thanks Latif ... we've looked into it and it's on our performance task list, but the best fix is more far reaching than I thought, so we haven't gone deeper
- [15:12] Latif Khalifa: i don't believe in the distro story :P if they wait debian to get mono 2.6 it will be years from now lol
- [15:12] Drew Dwi: sim locking up in combat and on tps has existed long before mono
- [15:12] FireFox Breed: true but it has gotten a little worse
- [15:12] Latif Khalifa: it's not even in debian-testing
- [15:13] SHAMUS Carter: when in doubt script your atachments in lsl ;P
- [15:13] Master Starship: simmion will that also cut down on the lag due to images loading (on the server side)

- [15:13] FireFox Breed: also with objects corssing sims, we use a 2 sim setup and there is some issues with it. such as objects going into one from the other and the sim tring to keep a time d above .4

- [15:14] FireFox Breed: yep
- [15:14] Lestat Umarov: Which can be prevented to some extent if they can set homepoints.
- [15:14] Oskar Linden: lots of unkown / unctrollable variables == perceived lag

- [15:14] SHAMUS Carter: client lag is not server lag
- [15:14] Oskar Linden: so how does 1.40 look overall to you guys?
- [15:14] Oskar Linden: minus the crashers that we are working on
- [15:14] SHAMUS Carter: so are so good
- [15:15] SHAMUS Carter: im just gald that child prim bug got fixed
- [15:15] FireFox Breed: we dont know yet we have not done any real testing. some of the bullets are working better
- [15:15] Motor Loon: looks pretty shiny

- [15:15] xstorm Radek: there needs to be better stats tools
- [15:15] Arokh Takakura: Keller has been doing some weapons testing.
- [15:15] Oskar Linden: so our plan is to close up 1.40 this week if at all possible and begin deploy testing next week
- [15:15] Oskar Linden: 1.40 will still be here all weekend and next week for testing
- [15:15] SHAMUS Carter: wow that fast
- [15:15] xstorm Radek: the old stats system is poor for bug testing
- [15:15] Oskar Linden: we do deploy testing privavtely on damballah
- [15:15] Kitto Flora: Oskar: Looks good except for the worse edge-fin collision problem. And touch-passing
- [15:16] Oskar Linden: but if major issues are found next week that are showstoppers we can still get fixes in

- [15:16] Kitto Flora: edge-fin is Havok7. Touch passing is a big problem. Breaks mucho content
- [15:16] FireFox Breed: we will test as many weapons as we can to see if anything crashs the sim

- [15:17] Oskar Linden: so if anyone has anythings super imortant to tell me about 1.40 now is the time

- [15:19] xstorm Radek: Oskar may i ask if server ver 1.40 do get on to Agni can there please be a way to stop a item scrip that may crash the sim or log the scrips that attack a sim in such a way as to crash it ?

- [15:38] Moundsa Mayo: Yes - they are trying to run at 16mps at rez and only make it a little way before derailing.
- [15:38] Williamca Zenovka: It happens with our tanks, to which we had to generate a fix via cylinder like prims on the base to make it smoother.

- [15:43] Kitto Flora: Monty - they will bounce at the seams. Whats worse is that square based stuff is stopped dead.

- [15:44] Moundsa Mayo: Looks much worse in Oatmeal 9, but that's full debug. I'll compare in another Oatmeal not full debug.
