The Second Life Mentor Renewal Program requires that all members of the Second Life Mentor group renew their membership. Members who do not renew their membership by the deadline will be removed from the group. This is being done for quality and activity tracking purposes. The Renewal Program will allow VTeam to better support the growing number of active members in the group.
Who is required to take part in the Renewal Program?
All Second Life residents who are Second Life Mentors are required to renew their membership.
What am I required to do to have my membership renewed?
Renewing your membership is easy. At this Web site is a form that asks for your Second Life resident name which you type out in the form. In the same Web site, you confirm your understanding of the Tao of Volunteers, Mentor Title Activation Guidelines, and the Mentor Group IM Guidelines. When you click Done, your request for renewal will be accepted. That is all you need to do. Make sure you have read the Tao of Volunteer and the Group IM guidelines. Confirming you understand each is required to have your membership renewed.
When is this due?
The Renewal Program begins August 26th, 2008 and the cutoff date is September 30th, 2008.
What do I do if I do not want to have my membership renewed?
If you do not want your membership renewed, do not submit your renewal application. You will be removed from the group after the cutoff date.
If I do not renew my membership by the deadline, what are my options?
When Second Life Mentor applications are open, you may submit to join the Second Life Mentor Apprentice group. You will need to meet all standard entry requirements of a new Second Life Mentor.
