- [15:10] Oskar Linden: abck on track
- [15:10] Kallista Destiny: I see noddings NODDINGS do you hear?
- [15:10] Oskar Linden: way to keep us on the agenda Theresa
- [15:10] Oskar Linden: so the only way flame of jira would ever work again is if it stored someones login credentials right?
- [15:11] Oskar Linden: bah
- [15:11] Oskar Linden: I guess at the simplest we could just make the flame of jira spit out urls
- [15:12] Oskar Linden: are you all still ogling Theresa?
- [15:12] Kallista Destiny whispers: Without verification even
- [15:12] Marigold Devin: Yep.
- [15:12] Oskar Linden: right
- [15:12] Oskar Linden: ok that reminds me of a story
- [15:12] Oskar Linden: in a Linden meeting once

- [15:13] Oskar Linden: so people rezzed privacy cubes
- [15:13] Kallista Destiny: lols
- [15:13] Oskar Linden: and started putting them over her lady parts

- [15:13] Oskar Linden: haha
- [15:13] Kallista Destiny: ROFL
- [15:13] Robin Lobo: lol
- [15:13] Marigold Devin: Hahahaah
- [15:13] Oskar Linden: good times
- [15:13] Marigold Devin: Found our level
- [15:13] Oskar Linden: good times
- [15:14] Marigold Devin: How much did you pay Theresa to be such a good distraction?
- [15:14] Robin Lobo: lol
- [15:14] Oskar Linden: there we go
- [15:14] Oskar Linden: 25% privacy cube
- [15:14] Marigold Devin: haha!
- [15:14] Marigold Devin: so naughty
- [15:15] Motor Loon: lol
- [15:15] Oskar Linden: now you can all pay attention 3/4 of the time
- [15:15] Oskar Linden: anyway
- [15:15] Oskar Linden: so main channel got updated
- [15:15] Oskar Linden: but the release took a really really long time
- [15:15] Oskar Linden: some times the grid fights back
- [15:15] Motor Loon: bad grid!
- [15:15] Oskar Linden: we found no technical reason
- [15:16] Oskar Linden: and then like 85% complete Coyot's laptop exploded
- [15:16] Motor Loon: if the grid is female... that'd be the explanation
- [15:16] Marigold DevinMarigold Devin thumps Motor HARD
- [15:16] Motor Loon: °͜°
- [15:16] Kallista Destiny: Next "Revenge of the Grid"
- [15:16] Marigold Devin: But agrees, as these technical issues only seem to happen once a months of course
- [15:16] Oskar Linden: and by exploded I mean bad sectors in the boot partition and mid meeting it just crapped all over itself
- [15:17] Moundsa Mayo: EEWWW!!
- [15:17] Oskar Linden: so that made the last part of the roll take longer
- [15:17] Oskar Linden: because he had to switch machines
- [15:17] Kallista Destiny: I would imagine
- [15:17] Oskar Linden: it's the little things
- [15:17] Oskar Linden: it all adds up
- [15:17] Oskar Linden: but that code is deployed and the fixes were needed
- [15:17] Oskar Linden: they had been piling up
- [15:17] Marigold Devin: I feel bad now. Theresa seems to have vanished
- [15:18] Kallista Destiny: You re-image the disk right?
- [15:18] Oskar Linden: the code that went out this morning is a much smaller simpler collection
- [15:18] Oskar Linden: poor theresa
- [15:18] Oskar Linden: poor pantsless thersa
- [15:18] Oskar Linden: she's back!
- [15:18] Oskar Linden: and with pants this time
- [15:18] Marigold Devin: Welcome back Theresa.
- [15:18] Oskar Linden: thanks Theresa
- [15:18] Kallista Destiny: Welcome back Therresa
- [15:18] Theresa Tennyson: Apparently they were included in the beta update.
- [15:18] Marigold Devin: Sorry Theresa, for all the ogling.
- [15:19] Marigold Devin: I was just trying to copybot the underpants
- [15:19] Marigold Devin: (jk)
- [15:19] Marigold DevinMarigold Devin does not copybot
- [15:19] Oskar Linden: I just fb status updated a comment about meeting without pants
- [15:19] Marigold Devin: PPl will think your job is fun
- [15:20] Oskar Linden: my job is fun
- [15:20] Oskar Linden: I get to meet with you awesome folk for an hour every week!
- [15:20] Kallista Destiny: Pay no attention to them Theresa, they are brigands and louts; we will see the better of this, God willing.
- [15:20] Oskar Linden: that is 1/30th of my week and 1/6th of my day
- [15:21] Oskar Linden: ok so the RC channels
- [15:21] Oskar Linden: SVC-8119: New mass-related llApplyRotationalImpulse error
- [15:21] Flame of Jira: Status 404
- [15:21] Oskar Linden: SVC-8146: llRezAtRoot() does not set correct parameters (for sale) on rezzed object in Second Life RC BlueSteel 12.08.03.263047
- [15:21] Flame of Jira: Status 404
- [15:21] Oskar Linden: and SVC-8144: Estate Tools, Debug, Disable collisions stopped working.
- [15:21] Flame of Jira: Status 404
- [15:22] Oskar Linden: as well as a few fixes that prevented its release to RC last week
- [15:22] Oskar Linden: we couldn't do the RC release yesterday
- [15:22] Oskar Linden: so we had to do it this AM
- [15:22] Oskar Linden: I don't like doing Thursday deploys
- [15:22] Oskar Linden: sometimes we have no choice
- [15:23] Motor Loon: not a giant RC release
- [15:23] Kallista Destiny: Was it to make sue there was no erepeat of the problem with the main channel?
- [15:23] Oskar Linden: it's easier when we have smaller releases
- [15:24] Oskar Linden: we would have done it on Wednesday, but Coyot the release engineer in charge of it was still without an adequate machine
- [15:24] TankMaster Finesmith: has he upgraded to a pentium 233 yet?
- [15:24] Kallista Destiny: Or was that idiopathic? (That is Doctoreese for *shrugs and holds hands palm up* eh?)
- [15:24] Motor Loon: did he start going into withdrawals?
- [15:25] Oskar Linden: heh
- [15:25] Kallista Destiny: 233 MX?
- [15:25] Oskar Linden: one of his two dual floppy drive motors seized
- [15:25] TankMaster Finesmith: yes! :D
- [15:25] TankMaster Finesmith: lol
- [15:25] Oskar Linden: but it's out on the grid now
- [15:25] Oskar Linden: and seems stable
- [15:25] Kallista Destiny: Ahhhh, that can be problimatic
- [15:25] TankMaster Finesmith: so h couldnt RAID is floppies?
- [15:25] Oskar Linden: some crashiness we're looking into
- [15:26] Oskar Linden: we'll look over the data in the AM and see if it is worthy of promotion next week
- [15:26] Oskar Linden: maestro what have we got coming up that is worth mentioning?
- [15:27] Oskar Linden: maestro must be idling here again
- [15:27] Maestro Linden: Well, that one project we mentioned earlier is still in the works
- [15:27] Motor LoonMotor Loon pokes Maestro with a stick
- [15:27] Oskar Linden: there he is
- [15:27] Maestro Linden: the one with all the 3rd party library updates and new havok update
- [15:27] Oskar Linden: the project with large groups fixes?
- [15:27] Maestro Linden: and there's also a maintenance release which will probably be ready for RC next week
- [15:28] Maestro Linden: Yes, that maintenance release has fixes for viewer large group member lists
- [15:28] Oskar Linden: the sl beta group in AGNI has almost 20k members
- [15:28] Kallista Destiny: I think that is still pretty far down the road Oskar, OZ promised the TPV folks 2 months
- [15:28] Maestro Linden: My understanding is that the large group fixes also include some viewer changes
- [15:28] Oskar Linden: the server side fixes should be sooner
- [15:28] TankMaster Finesmith: yes, theres viewer changes to take advantage of it
- [15:28] Kallista Destiny: I thought that Viewer was manditory?
- [15:28] TankMaster Finesmith: thres 2 beta grid regions with the new server code
- [15:29] Maestro Linden: Hm, maybe for very large groups, Kallista
- [15:29] Motor Loon: 10.000+ members
- [15:29] TankMaster Finesmith: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-4968?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=343620
- [15:29] Flame of Jira: Status 499
- [15:29] Conover's Flight-Helper 6.3.3 (WEAR ME!): Flight-helper is ready and operational.
- [15:29] Maestro Linden: otherwise you won't view the member list properly (not that you could in the past, heh)
- [15:29] Kallista Destiny: Yeah, true
- [15:30] Maestro Linden: let's see..
- [15:30] TankMaster Finesmith: yes, legacy viewers (all viewers out now) will only load the first what, 20k?
- [15:30] Theresa Tennyson: When do you think the new Havok code will be put on the RC's? Because that always causes, well, you know...
- [15:30] Maestro Linden: otherwise, that maintenance release has localization updates for several server messages
- [15:30] Motor Loon: I was a little unsure if the changes would improve on loading time for list under 10.000 aswell?
- [15:30] Motor Loon: Think my biggest group is around 7k members
- [15:30] TankMaster Finesmith: motor, its much faster for all groups with the new code
- [15:30] Maestro Linden: So it turns out that the project with the havok update (DRTSIM-172) will require the maintenance release (DRTSIM-173) to be everywhere first
- [15:30] Motor Loon: excellento
- [15:31] TankMaster Finesmith: 10k groups should loas in jsut a few seconds
- [15:31] Maestro Linden: I think that DRTSIM-172 is a few weeks away at least
- [15:31] Motor Loon: well, thats not long
- [15:32] Maestro Linden: Oh, kelly has a nice change in DRTSIM-173..
- [15:33] Maestro LindenMaestro Linden is checking to see if he can talk about it yet..
- [15:33] Maestro Linden: okay, it's not quite ready to present.. nevermind :P
- [15:33] Motor Loon: syysh
- [15:34] Maestro Linden: But it's a handy feature
- [15:34] TankMaster Finesmith: tease
- [15:34] Oskar Linden: I'll delete that from the logs
- [15:34] Oskar Linden: oh and that other super awesome feature that does that thing
- [15:34] Oskar Linden: can't talk about it
- [15:34] Motor Loon: now you'll have to kill us all
- [15:34] Robin Lobo: lol
- [15:35] SonicAnd Miles: :p
- [15:35] Oskar Linden: so that's about it for updates
- [15:36] Oskar Linden: how about we talk about week 1 with the new jira system
- [15:36] Oskar Linden: how many people filled out the survery?
- [15:36] Kallista Destiny: ne
- [15:36] Kallista Destiny: Me
- [15:36] Oskar Linden: thank you
- [15:36] Nalates Urriah: I'm waiting another week or two
- [15:36] Marigold Devin: How many new Jiras have come in since the new system anyway?
- [15:36] Motor Loon: mom always said... if you dont have anything nice to say kid... shut the fuck up
- [15:36] Oskar Linden: to fill out the survey?
- [15:37] Oskar Linden: maestro? how many new jiras?
- [15:37] TankMaster Finesmith: there are 96 bug jiras
- [15:37] Marigold Devin: And 240 new feature request JIRAS
- [15:38] Maestro Linden: Yep, 96 BUG Jiras
- [15:38] Kallista Destiny: What is the Key for feature request?
- [15:38] Motor Loon: How about expanding the group of people who can see jira's to the people that attend the usergroup meetings?
- [15:38] Oskar Linden: what do you see as the pros of the new system?
- [15:38] Oskar Linden: I'll get to that Motor
- [15:39] Nalates Urriah: I don't have to check for duplicates...
- [15:39] Motor Loon: pro's is ofcause that it's quicker to file a jira eh...
- [15:39] Oskar Linden: that's a good pro
- [15:39] TankMaster Finesmith: heh yeah, no looking up to see if its lready been filed
- [15:39] Oskar Linden: heh
- [15:39] Motor Loon: con is that you might not file it because you ASSUME it's already there and you just can't check
- [15:39] Nalates Urriah: My two experiences is that I got a much faster and more personal response...
- [15:40] Marigold Devin: Bless
- [15:40] Oskar Linden: ok
- [15:40] Nalates Urriah: In my case, if it is a bug I want fixed, I'll file it. Dup or not.
- [15:40] Marigold Devin: I find my OCD is much better as a result
- [15:40] Marigold Devin: I have much more time in my day.
- [15:40] Motor Loon: °͜°
- [15:41] TankMaster Finesmith: lol
- [15:41] Marigold Devin: Hey, don't LOL at the afflicted ;-))
- [15:41] TankMaster Finesmith: i seem to be spending more time in it now...
- [15:41] Marigold Devin: Tank, have you found responses quicker? I mean to get to Triage stage?
- [15:42] Nalates Urriah: Tank, can you see JIRA BUG items?
- [15:42] TankMaster Finesmith: i can, nal
- [15:42] TankMaster Finesmith: <- code contributor
- [15:42] Marigold Devin: It's a bit more 'wash and go' for us to do it as a blindfolded submission.
- [15:42] Motor Loon: ofcourse I'd assume IF you can see jira's they are now much easier to get a overview of because there's not those 200 stupid whiner comments
- [15:42] TankMaster Finesmith: i think oskar was getting to that
- [15:42] Oskar Linden: ok so those are some good pros
- [15:42] Marigold Devin: Exactly, Motor, all of us can do without that
- [15:42] Oskar Linden: after 1 week which cons are your biggest concerns
- [15:42] Nalates Urriah: Less drama is good
- [15:42] Oskar Linden: or is it all the same as last week
- [15:42] Maestro Linden: I have to run off to another meeting
- [15:42] Oskar Linden: less drama is good
- [15:42] Oskar Linden: ok maestro
- [15:42] Oskar Linden: l8r)
- [15:43] TankMaster Finesmith: marigold, the one bug i sent in was resolved later that day
- [15:43] Marigold Devin: See you soon, Maestro
- [15:43] Marigold Devin: Be good
- [15:43] Nalates Urriah: bye M
- [15:43] Marigold Devin: Oooo Nal's on first letter terms
- [15:43] Moundsa Mayo: Thank you, Maestro!
- [15:43] Marigold Devin: I don't feel I know them well enough to call them M and O
- [15:43] TankMaster Finesmith: they seem to just duplicate them over to MAINT though and close view to it
- [15:43] Marigold Devin: not yet
- [15:43] Nalates Urriah: :P ...I'm a lazy typer
- [15:44] Marigold Devin: Hardly, Nal, not with the length of your blogs
- [15:44] Maestro Linden: Bye guys!
- [15:44] TankMaster Finesmith: tc maestro
- [15:44] Nalates UrriahNalates Urriah (blush)
- [15:44] TankMaster Finesmith: and hi falcon
- [15:44] Marigold Devin: I was staring at Maestro, now I have empty space !
- [15:44] Motor Loon: falcon is 130m away
- [15:44] Marigold DevinMarigold Devin looks around for someone with pink nails or no pants
- [15:45] TankMaster Finesmith: 128.53 m
- [15:45] Motor Loon: ok then
- [15:45] Marigold Devin: I'm on a non-mesh viewer, so Doudi looks fab
- [15:45] Oskar Linden: we've had a lot of discussions internally with the QA team about the new jira flow
- [15:45] Marigold Devin: Earings are gorgeous
- [15:45] DoudiDouda: my dress so sexy...
- [15:46] Motor Loon: non mesh viewers... wow... that's like playing COD on a C= 64
- [15:46] Oskar Linden: and we were supposed to ahve a meeting this morning to discuss but it didn't work out
- [15:46] Marigold Devin: It's a lovely color
- [15:46] Kallista Destiny: Lols
- [15:46] Kallista Destiny: that was to Motor
- [15:46] TankMaster Finesmith: 8% of the logins into sl are still on a non mesh viewer...
- [15:46] Motor Loon: "it didn't work out"
- [15:46] Oskar Linden: we wanted to discuss ideas of creating a QA Community group
- [15:46] Oskar Linden: the meeting didn't
- [15:46] Oskar Linden: too many people couldn't attend
- [15:46] Motor Loon: what does that mean? turning into a fight? food throwing
- [15:46] Oskar Linden: multiple timezones
- [15:46] Kallista Destiny: Ah....
- [15:46] Motor Loon: ah
- [15:46] Oskar Linden: yadda yadda
- [15:47] Oskar Linden: I had wanted to discuss further before this meeting
- [15:47] Kallista Destiny: Toga party?
- [15:47] Oskar Linden: I'm sure we'll have time before next week
- [15:47] Oskar Linden: as QA we recognize the contributions you all make to the quality of Second Life
- [15:48] Oskar Linden: I want to see a larger group of people with enhanced Jira permissions
- [15:48] Oskar Linden: we just need to work out the details of that internally
- [15:48] TankMaster Finesmith: id like to see it where anyone can view just about anything
- [15:48] Motor Loon: Sounds reasonable
- [15:48] Oskar Linden: I'm sure it will happen in some shape or form, I just don't have details for you yet
- [15:48] Oskar Linden: I would too TM, but not sure that will happen
- [15:49] TankMaster Finesmith: even if we cant comment on it, or see commens, jsut seeing the top submission would be handy for group discussions like this
- [15:49] Nalates Urriah: Being able to see things would seem to help with these meetings. A QA group with comment rights seems reasonable.
- [15:49] Oskar Linden: I think a QA community group would be able to comment
- [15:49] SonicAnd Miles: :)
- [15:50] Oskar Linden: and there wouldn't be drama because drama would just mean you got booted from the group :-)
- [15:50] TankMaster Finesmith: dont want no dramma
- [15:50] SonicAnd Miles: nice lol
- [15:50] Marigold Devin: I think we just here now are non-drama folk
- [15:50] Nalates Urriah: That would be simple.
- [15:50] Oskar Linden: +1 on the drama thing
- [15:50] Theresa Tennyson: Well, LOW-drama folk. In comparison.
- [15:50] Nalates Urriah: I liked you note on the Deploy thread
- [15:51] Oskar Linden: I just want you guys to know that we're working to do what we can within the new system to allow you to continue to contribute in the awesome ways that you do
- [15:51] Marigold Devin: It seemed to do the trick, didn't it? :-))
- [15:51] Oskar Linden: right.
- [15:51] Oskar Linden: I had to do that on the deploy thread
- [15:51] Oskar Linden: that was getting out of control
- [15:51] Marigold Devin: But you have the power to just delete the ones that offend, right?
- [15:51] Marigold Devin: But good to nip them in the bud.
- [15:51] Oskar Linden: it does mean that I have to pay a lot more attention to that thread though
- [15:51] Oskar Linden: I refresh it constantly
- [15:53] Oskar Linden: anythign else?
- [15:53] Nalates Urriah: Can you block and individual from only a section of the SL Forum?
- [15:53] Kallista Destiny: I agree that there was an enormous amount of drama before, but I fee that much of that was due ot a precieved inability to communicate with LL In particular SVC-8124 was a flame fest because of that perception.
- [15:53] Flame of Jira: Status 499
- [15:53] Marigold Devin: Like val's issue you mean, Nal?
- [15:54] Marigold Devin: or from sub-forums?
- [15:54] Nalates Urriah: Subforums
- [15:54] Oskar Linden: forums are made for drama
- [15:54] Oskar Linden: it's a drama container
- [15:54] Nalates Urriah: True that
- [15:54] Oskar Linden: it's an open discussion
- [15:54] Marigold Devin: It's fine until it gets personal.
- [15:55] Marigold Devin: Heated debates and discussions are great.
- [15:55] Marigold Devin: And you get to know who the drama llamas are
- [15:55] Marigold Devin: But they're like a scab, you just itch to pick them off ;-))
- [15:56] Nalates Urriah: I moderated on some forums. Our challenge was defineing acceptable and unaccptable... trolling to some is not trolling to others.
- [15:56] Marigold Devin: Exactly, Nal.
- [15:56] Oskar Linden: in the forums I'm less likely to stop people from ranting because people need a place to vent
- [15:56] Oskar Linden: and we need a place to see the venting
- [15:56] Marigold Devin: Some people surely have reason to vent, others not. And the latter eventually get banned.
- [15:56] Marigold Devin: Or they disappear up their own ... Ice Holes
- [15:57] Motor Loon: venting is better than spontaneous combustion °͜°
- [15:57] Nalates Urriah: With some it is not so much venting as a way of life.
- [15:57] Oskar Linden: alright well we're almost done here
- [15:57] Marigold Devin: Well, it's gone quickly again.
- [15:57] Kallista Destiny: The gasoline throwers
- [15:57] Theresa Tennyson: I happened to read the forum thread on the release of server 1.40 and a lot of it was the same people saying basically the same things.
- [15:58] Oskar Linden: heh
- [15:58] Oskar Linden: ahh 1.40
- [15:58] Oskar Linden: the good ol' days
- [15:58] Kallista Destiny: If you shay it often enough someone might hear you.
- [15:58] Oskar Linden: when I started here I think we were on 1.18
- [15:58] TankMaster Finesmith: yeah, 1.40 went out real smoth...
- [15:58] Marigold Devin: 1.11 for me
- [15:58] Oskar Linden: I took over as server qa lead around 1.23
- [15:58] Marigold Devin: And Havok 4 came in, and wonderful windlight looked so great
- [15:59] Marigold Devin: And I got a new graphics card - that's a bit old now
- [15:59] Oskar Linden: we switched to the new system of numbering around 1.42
- [15:59] Kallista DestinyKallista Destiny laughs at Tank
- [15:59] Oskar Linden: so I've personally released like about a hundred versions of server to the grid
- [15:59] Oskar Linden: hah
- [15:59] TankMaster Finesmith: isnt that also when the RCs cameaout?
- [15:59] Oskar Linden: not counting RC's
- [15:59] Oskar Linden: whoa
- [15:59] Marigold Devin: Should we have brought rotten fruit or flowers to chuck at Oskar? ;-)
- [16:00] Marigold Devin: I've loved the quirks
- [16:00] Marigold Devin: It's four o clock and time for tea, tum ti tum ti tum
- [16:01] Oskar Linden: thank you all for coming today
- [16:01] Nalates Urriah: Thx Oskar
- [16:01] Moundsa Mayo: Oskar, thanks for your time and hard work!
- [16:01] Marigold Devin: Thank you, and special thanks to Theresa
