- [15:08] Bridie Linden: Nice Squirrel - gold sart for you!
- [15:08] Daedalus Young: that sounds like an old bug, Squirrel
- [15:08] Cummere Mayo: hi am i at the right plae?
- [15:08] Daedalus Young: I can remember seeing it before
- [15:08] Object: Touched.:
- [15:08] Cummere Mayo: *place?
- [15:09] Taryn London: Hi Zepar! Hi Red! :)
- [15:09] Zepar Zhukovsky: Hi Taryn
- [15:09] Bridie Linden: I forgot I put that there

- [15:09] Bridie Linden: we're on the first issue
- [15:10] Squirrel Wood: facial expressions... not very useful for furries anyway :)
- [15:10] Bridie Linden: Has anyone tried it?
- [15:10] Bridie Linden: Aric do you want QA to look at?
- [15:10] Aric Linden: yes please
- [15:10] Bridie Linden: kk
- [15:10] Cummere Mayo: +kneel
- [15:10] Alexa Linden: sorry :(
- [15:10] Bridie Linden: No Alexa
- [15:10] Alexa Linden: SL no like me :|
- [15:11] Bridie Linden: Next up...
- [15:11] Bridie Linden: VWR-5600[c
- [15:11] Bridie Linden: See also VWR-5660
- [15:11] Daedalus Young: Squirrel, Conference chat with Inventory: [1]
- [15:12] Bridie Linden: Thx Daed, sorry Squirrel, I'll have to take back gold sart...
- [15:12] Alexa Linden: lol
- [15:12] Bridie Linden: Back to web plugins...
- [15:12] Bridie Linden: is this true "In the Release Candidate (1.19.1), suggest that users who wish to enable additional plugins (under C:\Program Files\SecondLifeReleaseCandidate\app_settings\mozilla\plugins) can do so at their leisure by copying the relevant dynamic link libraries to the plugin directory. "?
- [15:13] Bridie Linden: (that's in 5660)
- [15:13] Bridie Linden: looks @ Aric
- [15:14] Creem Pye: would that be fore enabling Flash and the like within SL? :O
- [15:14] Bridie Linden: And what do folks think of "suggest a small modification whereby the Viewer parses the URL and detects those URLs calling MP3 and similar files and, just when it is the case, opens an external browser for viewing these file types" in 5600?
- [15:14] Squirrel Wood: reopens resolved issue on group chat inventory.
- [15:14] Bridie Linden: Don't everyone speak at once :)
- [15:15] Cummere Mayo: um for flash and mp3s ild rather it opened in an external one my av can scan
- [15:15] Alexa Linden: no kidding :P
- [15:15] Squirrel Wood: external browser... yes. but only if that behavior can be turned off in prefs or a debug setting
- [15:15] Bridie Linden: Let's import and see what Samuel Linden and company think...
- [15:15] Alexa Linden: noted
- [15:15] Bridie Linden: Squirrel, othes - if you want to add your comments please do
- [15:15] Cummere Mayo: my av does NOT recognize the built in broswer and the more content like mp3s you allow the higher the chance of a viral
- [15:16] Daedalus Young: I have no experience with built-in browser, I prefer to use external one
- [15:16] Creem Pye: in general I don't think it makes sense to set the media parcel URL to things that aren't meant to be viewed in-world
- [15:16] Bridie Linden: I guess it depends...
- [15:17] Object: Touched.:
- [15:17] Bridie Linden: Anyway, let's move on...for now
- [15:17] Bridie Linden: VWR-5520[c
- [15:17] Bridie Linden: we were waiting to hear back from Spank on this one
- [15:18] Bridie Linden: Nothing new yet
- [15:18] Daedalus Young: we still are
- [15:18] Object: Touched.:
- [15:18] Taryn London: I saw that one the other day
- [15:18] Object: Touched.:
- [15:18] Taryn London: now that you mention it
- [15:18] Taryn London: it stayed even when I relogged onto a different viewer. I had to reboot my whole PC.
- [15:18] Bridie Linden: Add comment Taryn?
- [15:19] Taryn London: Will do :)
- [15:19] Bridie Linden: Next up,
- [15:19] Bridie Linden: VWR-5363[c
- [15:19] Daedalus Young: I've had video corruption in the past, while running SL, Blender, iMovie at the same time and demanding a lot from them
- [15:19] Bridie Linden: don't do that Daed :P
- [15:19] Daedalus Young: I know that now :P
- [15:20] Bridie Linden: I don't think we should be seeing the 'error fetching' message right now...so I can't confirm 5363
- [15:20] Object: Touched.:
- [15:20] Bridie Linden: Aric, would QA enjoy that one?
- [15:20] Alexa Linden: lol
- [15:20] Bridie Linden: i'm gonna have to turn off the media :)
- [15:21] Alexa Linden: thanks
- [15:21] Zen Linden: way to go big papi
- [15:21] Alexa Linden: hahahaha
- [15:21] Aric Linden: yes bridie
- [15:21] Aric Linden: pass it over
- [15:21] Alexa Linden: I'll send your way Aric ;)
- [15:21] Bridie Linden: All it takes is one bad Linden...
- [15:21] BigPapi Linden: you forgot to assign homework. ;)
- [15:21] Aric Linden: will make sure that all bad bugs go to bigpapi from now on
- [15:21] Cummere Mayo: ??
- [15:21] Daedalus Young: lol
- [15:21] Alexa Linden: wait 'til the end BP
- [15:22] Bridie Linden: Next...
- [15:22] Aric Linden: grumbles and thinks bad thoughts about the red sox
- [15:22] Bridie Linden: VWR-5498[c
- [15:22] Bridie Linden: Import and assign to BigPapi?
- [15:22] BigPapi Linden: Do you really want to antagonize a fearsome dinosaur, Aric?
- [15:22] Bridie Linden: tiny, but fearsome!
- [15:22] Alexa Linden: noted - import and give to BP
- [15:22] Pastrami Linden: Bridie, assign to me
- [15:22] Pastrami Linden: por favor
- [15:22] Pastrami Linden: :)
- [15:22] Alexa Linden: ok
- [15:22] Alexa Linden: Patrami
- [15:22] Bridie Linden: Ty
- [15:22] Alexa Linden: pastrami*
- [15:23] Bridie Linden: moving right along...
- [15:23] Bridie Linden: VWR-5601[c
- [15:23] Aric Linden: is pondering how big a brain tiny, fearsome dinos have
- [15:23] BigPapi Linden: Who needs a brain, I'm all teeth and claws.
- [15:23] Bridie Linden: Sardonyx commented on this one...
- [15:24] Cummere Mayo: ummm question? *feels like an idiot*
- [15:24] Alpha Prim: BigPapi makes me nervous again :)
- [15:24] Daedalus Young: questions are made to be asked, so go ahead
- [15:24] Cummere Mayo: if we need to login to the wiki to comment shouldnt our sl logins work there?
- [15:25] Bridie Linden: nods
- [15:25] Aric Linden: yes cummere
- [15:25] Squirrel Wood: It does
- [15:25] Cummere Mayo: or does it have to be a premium account?
- [15:25] Bridie Linden: No, I don't think so
- [15:25] Daedalus Young: no
- [15:25] Alexa Linden: any account
- [15:25] Aric Linden: I'm wondering if 5601 was a network issue or really is a b ranch issue
- [15:25] Aric Linden: I'm thinking network
- [15:25] Daedalus Young: hi Torley
- [15:25] Torley Linden: Hiya everyone, pardon my lateness. :)
- [15:25] Taryn London: Torley!
- [15:25] Alexa Linden: hey Torley!
- [15:26] Torley Linden: Hey Daed, I was watchin' your video earlier, the one where you go 1 million m up! :)
- [15:26] Alpha Prim: hi Torley :)
- [15:26] Torley Linden: Hey Taryn, Alexa, Alpha, all! :)
- [15:26] Bridie Linden: hi Torley!
- [15:26] Daedalus Young: ah cool :)
- [15:26] Torley Linden: Yo yo Bridie!
- [15:26] Daedalus Young: it was cold up there :P
- [15:26] Bridie Linden: Maybe we should ping Sardonyx again on 5601?
- [15:26] Aric Linden: nods at bridie
- [15:26] Squirrel Wood: 1 million m is nothing ^^
- [15:26] Alexa Linden: LOL
- [15:26] Daedalus Young: my av got invisible any higher
- [15:27] Bridie Linden: Next up
- [15:27] Bridie Linden: VWR-5562[c
- [15:27] Alexa Linden: you want me to import and assign to him then?
- [15:27] Torley Linden: I haven't heard of this one before...
- [15:27] Bridie Linden: Nah, Alexa I'll just ping Sardonyx
- [15:27] Alexa Linden: ok
- [15:27] Torley Linden: I wonder if this was a problem for this Resi in 1.19 (non-RC).
- [15:28] Bridie Linden: Oops, I skipped one ,we'll come back to 5605
- [15:28] Bridie Linden: Good question...but can't we just give to BigPapi? j/k
- [15:28] Creem Pye: usually avatar culling is less aggressive than simple object culling, right?
- [15:29] Cummere Mayo: um you can add the standard old geforce4 with that bug too
- [15:29] BigPapi Linden: Don't make me bite your ankles.
- [15:29] Torley Linden: Cummere, you're experiencing this bug?
- [15:29] Cummere Mayo: soemtimes yes
- [15:29] Alexa Linden: pulls her legs up
- [15:29] Cummere Mayo: on my laptop and ONLY on the rc
- [15:29] BigPapi Linden: Do you have pictures?
- [15:29] Torley Linden: Cummere: Can you please leave a comment with your details? :)
- [15:29] Zen Linden: mx420 is a much wosre card than the GF4... weird
- [15:30] Cummere Mayo: isure but i think its a driver issue
- [15:30] Squirrel Wood: Ooo. Ancient video card...
- [15:30] BigPapi Linden: Yeah, MX420 is barely a graphics card.
- [15:30] Zen Linden: nvidia isn't exactly supporting that any more
- [15:30] Bridie Linden: Would one of you 2 like comment on this issue?
- [15:30] Bridie Linden: pls?
- [15:30] Torley Linden: Does the MX420 even meet our minimum requirements?
- [15:30] Zen Linden: well, we technically still claim to support it
- [15:30] Zen Linden: yep
- [15:31] Torley Linden: Ah.
- [15:31] Zen Linden: it's worth taking a look
- [15:31] Alexa Linden: import and assign to?
- [15:31] Pastrami Linden: moi
- [15:31] Zepar Zhukovsky: wonders if its based on imposters
- [15:31] Bridie Linden: kk, let's import and give to Pastrami to assign to anklebiter linden (aka., BigPapi)
- [15:31] Alexa Linden: ok
- [15:31] Bridie Linden: grins
- [15:31] Torley Linden: Haha.
- [15:31] Aric Linden: love pastrami for anklebiter snipe
- [15:31] Alexa Linden: then back to 5605?
- [15:31] Bridie Linden: Yes!
- [15:31] Bridie Linden: VWR-5605[c
- [15:31] Zen Linden: thinks zepar's right
- [15:32] Zepar Zhukovsky: work around, turn imposters off
- [15:32] Zen Linden: yep
- [15:32] Zen Linden: easy to feature mask out
- [15:32] Torley Linden: VWR-5605 does sound like a dupe of VWR-2778 from the details so far...
- [15:32] Alexa Linden: agreed
- [15:33] Bridie Linden: nods
- [15:33] Cummere Mayo: um ok can soemone checck see if i included everything needed?
- [15:33] Alexa Linden: close as dup?
- [15:33] Bridie Linden: and 2778 was already imported
- [15:33] Torley Linden: I'd say so, and change the link from related to dup.
- [15:33] Alexa Linden: ok
- [15:33] Bridie Linden: looks @ internal issue
- [15:33] Bridie Linden: Zen looked at this at one time....
- [15:33] Torley Linden: What I usually do in such cases is, "In the event you have clear evidence this is *not* a duplicate, please reopen with specific details why and unlink" but most of the time, it ends up being a dupe.
- [15:34] Bridie Linden: Good suggestion Torley
- [15:34] Zen Linden: wait... is this the skirt issue?
- [15:34] Bridie Linden: nods
- [15:34] Torley Linden: Aye, the infamous issue that dogged our WL office hours and ended up in some folks' emails signatures! ;)
- [15:34] Zen Linden: wasn't a rendering issue, i'm near positive... more of a lost packet issue
- [15:34] Zen Linden: unreliable communication problems
- [15:35] Bridie Linden: Do you want to add an update to 2778?
- [15:35] Bridie Linden: Zen
- [15:35] Zen Linden: shore
- [15:35] Bridie Linden: merci
- [15:35] Bridie Linden: Next up
- [15:35] Bridie Linden: VWR-5529[c
- [15:36] Bridie Linden: Taryn and I were trying to repro this last night...
- [15:36] Squirrel Wood: scrolling up happens when you open the participant list
- [15:36] Bridie Linden: I couldn't, but Taryn could...
- [15:36] Squirrel Wood: every single time
- [15:36] Taryn London: nods.. and again today.
- [15:36] Bridie Linden: I thought I remembered an internal issue...
- [15:37] Torley Linden: Hmmm...
- [15:37] Taryn London: As well as the resizing thing, I get that every time. I added it to the comments, but I wonder if it should have it's own entry?
- [15:37] Taryn London: Or maybe that's just how it's supposed to work?
- [15:37] Cummere Mayo: yeha resizing always scrolls up for me too but i thought it was suppsoed to on resize?
- [15:37] Torley Linden: Taryn, the resizing thing was noticed by Benjamin Linden awhile ago, I think it was actually reported as another bug.
- [15:37] Squirrel Wood: Yes
- [15:38] Taryn London: Ok, I'll have a look for that one and add comments, then. :)
- [15:38] Squirrel Wood: I think it came up at Bens hour once
- [15:38] Bridie Linden: I'll check for internal issue on scrolling one...
- [15:38] Bridie Linden: seems small, but annoying
- [15:38] Taryn London: Yup yup.
- [15:39] Bridie Linden: Next up
- [15:39] Bridie Linden: VWR-5497[c
- [15:39] Bridie Linden: I couldn't repro this on my mac, anyone else?
- [15:39] Torley Linden: Hmm I'm going to try to repro it now. BRB.
- [15:39] Squirrel Wood: works fine for me
- [15:40] Taryn London: I always just leave mine checked :P
- [15:40] Bridie Linden: thx Torley
- [15:40] Taryn London: LOL Torley
- [15:41] Torley Linden: Didn't repro for me. "Show end of last IM conversation" setting is still unchecked.
- [15:41] Bridie Linden: Ok, cannot repro, pls Alexa
- [15:41] Torley Linden: Sounds good!
- [15:41] Alexa Linden: done
- [15:41] Bridie Linden: Next up
- [15:41] Bridie Linden: VWR-3450[c
- [15:41] Cummere Mayo: dont have that issue clsoes i have is that it wont remember my password ever
- [15:42] Bridie Linden: 3450 is on Linux
- [15:42] Bridie Linden: What Cummere?
- [15:43] Bridie Linden: Is that a different issue?
- [15:43] Cummere Mayo: i dont know if it might be related. i think soemone else reported that yesterday though too
- [15:43] Bridie Linden: I haven't seen that one...
- [15:43] Bridie Linden: Let's import 3450 and give to Tofu, pls
- [15:44] Alexa Linden: noted
- [15:44] Bridie Linden: Ty
- [15:44] Bridie Linden: Next
- [15:44] Bridie Linden: VWR-5673[c
- [15:44] Cummere Mayo: well ill make a report for it then if its duped im sure someone will yell at me for it :)
- [15:44] Bridie Linden: We don't yell Cummere...
- [15:45] Bridie Linden: Well, BigPapi might but that's b/c he's small
- [15:45] Torley Linden: Haha.
- [15:45] Bridie Linden: grins again
- [15:45] cutewolf Dagger: thx
- [15:45] Creem Pye: mmm maybe the ZERO_VECTOR is throwing it off?
- [15:45] Cummere Mayo: zero_vector?
- [15:45] Creem Pye: the invalid access of rotation
- [15:45] Creem Pye: <0,0,0>
- [15:46] BigPapi Linden: Bridie continues to underestimate the magnitude of my ferocity.
- [15:46] Creem Pye: maybe like <1,0,0> with an omega of 0 would work
- [15:46] Cummere Mayo: uh how would that affect the password?
- [15:46] Daedalus Young: but it does work when the script is in a root prim, it says
- [15:46] Creem Pye: oops not access.. axis XD
- [15:47] Bridie Linden: Maybe we should ask Andrew what he thinks since Harleen pointed out ref to SVC-54
- [15:47] Hwydancerskittycat Republic: :)
- [15:47] Daedalus Young: so why would <0,0,0> not be allowed in a child prim, but it would in a root?
- [15:47] Alexa Linden: can do
- [15:47] Alexa Linden: want me to import as well?
- [15:47] Squirrel Wood: could it be the same thing that causes scripts in a huds child prims to pop up the permission dialog?
- [15:47] Bridie Linden: Let's wait on it for now...
- [15:47] Hwydancerskittycat Republic: does this place turn off scripts?
- [15:48] Hwydancerskittycat Republic: afk
- [15:48] Daedalus Young: child prims are just so childish
- [15:48] Alexa Linden: I'll mark with last triaged and ask Andrew
- [15:48] Bridie Linden: laughs
- [15:48] Squirrel Wood: Scripts are off here, yes.
- [15:48] Bridie Linden: nods
- [15:48] Bridie Linden: next
- [15:48] Bridie Linden: VWR-5626[c
- [15:49] Squirrel Wood: could that be because they are the same?
- [15:49] Torley Linden: Hmmm this one may be subject to Rx Design, I know there's been some back-and-forth over preferred behavior here.
- [15:50] Torley Linden: In particular, Local Chat (history) isn't echoed/copied to the console when the IM tab is active...
- [15:50] Daedalus Young: I thought it was a prefs setting really
- [15:50] Torley Linden: but other IMs and chat are, to signal your attention.
- [15:50] Zepar Zhukovsky: I'm not getting this behavior with the 1.19.1 client but I did have it with 1.19.0
- [15:51] Bridie Linden: test
- [15:51] Daedalus Young: test
- [15:51] Torley Linden: As Daed points out, part of the confusion here may be due to Preferences > Communication tab's "Include IM in Chat History" being on.
- [15:52] Daedalus Young: yes, that's what I thought
- [15:52] Bridie Linden: nods
- [15:52] Bridie Linden: Torley do you want to add a comment/question?
- [15:52] Torley Linden: Yes, I shall do.
- [15:52] Torley Linden: :)
- [15:52] Bridie Linden: Thx! Gold sarts for you!
- [15:52] Alexa Linden: woohoo!
- [15:52] Bridie Linden: Next up
- [15:52] Bridie Linden: VWR-5518[c
- [15:53] Creem Pye: it would be convenient to be able to type in coordinates..
- [15:53] Bridie Linden: Looks like a good one to import...
- [15:54] OIHUD -: revBS60: This HUD will only function on Orientation Island. Detaching HUD (can take up to a minute...)
- [15:54] Zepar Zhukovsky: verified, I can't move any huds with anything but the tips of the arrows
- [15:54] Alexa Linden: assigning to?
- [15:54] Alexa Linden: same
- [15:54] Zepar Zhukovsky: tails don't work
- [15:54] Alexa Linden: jsut tested
- [15:54] Cummere Mayo: um yeah i cant either
- [15:54] Bridie Linden: Kk thx all
- [15:54] Taryn London: me 4
- [15:54] Bridie Linden: Pls import, Alexa
- [15:54] Alexa Linden: triage?
- [15:55] Bridie Linden: Let's give it to Steve
- [15:55] Alexa Linden: ok
- [15:55] Bridie Linden: Next and finally
- [15:55] Bridie Linden: VWR-5463[c
- [15:56] Torley Linden: I certainly hope that isn't true! :p
- [15:56] Creem Pye: hmm can't say I've ever had any viewer disable my video output completely =)
- [15:56] Bridie Linden: WindLighters, what say you?
- [15:56] Squirrel Wood: From the description it *does* sound like the card is overheating
- [15:56] Torley Linden: What are recommended Mac GPU stress test apps?
- [15:57] Torley Linden: Seems to me like we should ask Goldie to run those.
- [15:57] Taryn London: agrees with Squirrel.
- [15:57] BigPapi Linden: Yeah, sounds like an overheating issue.
- [15:57] Daedalus Young: I haven't tried latest WL on my ATI X1600 yet
- [15:57] Torley Linden: Then we can establish if it's independent of SL.
- [15:57] Squirrel Wood: sean marsi seems to have the same issue on xp
- [15:57] Squirrel Wood: (see last comment)
- [15:57] Torley Linden: E.g., I've run into cases where someone said, "It must be SL, no other games do this to me!" and then they try running a benchmark stress tester for several hours, and it reveals further problems.
- [15:58] Bridie Linden: nods
- [15:58] BigPapi Linden: Heat's the only thing I can think of that would cause that behavior.
- [15:58] Taryn London: I dont have those issues, I live in Canada :P I'll just open the window. The RL one.
- [15:58] Squirrel Wood: then again, if the mac was bought a year ago and never cleaned on the inside then it may really be just the gpu overheating due to dust
- [15:58] BigPapi Linden: Though a driver bug is also a possibility
- [15:58] Daedalus Young: for Macs, I have the iStat widget, which shows temperatures
- [15:58] Daedalus Young: could try that
- [15:58] Bridie Linden: Torley or BigPapi, would you mind commenting?
- [15:59] Cummere Mayo: um theres another possibility for that one too
