- [12:00] Alexa Linden: we're working off of today's agenda - https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Bug_triage/2009-06-01
- [12:00] Alexa Linden: hey Moon :D
- [12:00] Moon Metty: hi Alexa :)
- [12:01] Moon Metty: i rezzed this jira helper
- [12:01] Alexa Linden: cool thanks :D
- [12:01] Moon Metty: i hope it helps :)
- [12:01] WolfPup Lowenhar: hey moon
- [12:01] Moon Metty: hi Wolf :)
- [12:01] Latif Khalifa: lets test it SVC-4325
- [12:02] Latif Khalifa: hey moon, it does not work :)
- [12:02] Alexa Linden: We're just waiting for soft to begin and here he is !
- [12:02] JIRA-helper: http//jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-4325:
- [#SVC-4325] transaction notifications: fail
- [12:02] Moon Metty: jira is slow
- [12:02] Latif Khalifa: ah its slow
- [12:02] Soft Linden: Hey hey!
- [12:02] Latif Khalifa: hey soft
- [12:02] WolfPup Lowenhar: hey soft
- [12:02] Soft Linden: Sounds like Techwolf is eating his mic
- [12:02] Ephyu Reino: 'ello.
- [12:02] Alexa Linden: lol
- [12:02] Moon Metty: hi Soft :)
- [12:02] Soft Linden: Hey hey!
- [12:02] Alexa Linden: https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Bug_triage/2009-06-01
- [12:02] Alexa Linden: Soft, you want to drive?
- [12:02] Soft Linden: Ah sure, can...
- [12:02] Soft Linden: ...if that page ever loads
- [12:03] Harleen Gretzky: Hi Soft
- [12:03] Soft Linden: VWR-12630 [c
- [12:03] JIRA-helper: http//jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-12630:
- [#VWR-12630] rendering is: slightly but infuriatingly broken
- [12:03] Moon Metty: it's slow alright :)
- [12:03] Soft Linden: shakefist at JIRA. "Loooooad, damn you..."
- [12:03] Harleen Gretzky: I am abl to reproduce this
- [12:04] Moon Metty: well, i happened to test that bug today
- [12:04] Moon Metty: with a 32x32
- [12:04] Moon Metty: it even shows on losslessly uploaded textures
- [12:04] Soft Linden: Ah, it's waking up now
- [12:04] Moon Metty: i had an idea that the texture isn't shown at the highest discardlevel
- [12:04] Moon Metty: but i don't know
- [12:05] Techwolf Lupindo: There have been times where one sim the texture load ok, then tp to another sime that Ihave been to and all texture load very slowly.
- [12:05] Object: Hello,: Avatar!
- [12:05] Latif Khalifa: hey Aimee, Dessie
- [12:05] Ephyu Reino: A similar, if not the same glitch, appears on sculpted prims, where a row of pixels will bleed through the stitching from one end to the other.
- [12:05] Aimee Trescothick: hey :)
- [12:06] Dessie Linden: heya, everyone!
- [12:06] Moon Metty: hey Dessie :)
- [12:06] Soft Linden: Yup, that red's bleeding over just a little
- [12:06] Harleen Gretzky: Hi Dessie
- [12:06] Soft Linden: That's expected with animated textures, but not here
- [12:06] Morgaine Dinova: LOL Baldi :-)
- [12:06] WolfPup Lowenhar: hey dessie
- [12:06] Baldi McMillan: hello
- [12:06] Baldi McMillan: ;-)
- [12:06] Skills Hak: hi
- [12:06] Moon Metty: ok, on a prim, but you see it in the preview window too
- [12:06] Baldi McMillan: rezzin
- [12:07] Dessie Linden: waves happily
- [12:07] Soft Linden: Have you got a texture handy you could pass my way where I can see it in the preview window?
- [12:07] Aimee Trescothick: LOL love the bagpipes avatar, I just got back from a week in Scotland lol
- [12:07] Moon Metty: hehehe
- [12:07] Baldi McMillan: it plays too!
- [12:07] Baldi McMillan: LOL
- [12:07] Baldi McMillan: but I need to behave!
- [12:07] Morgaine Dinova: Very original
- [12:07] Baldi McMillan: ;-)
- [12:08] Dessie Linden: that's excellent!
- [12:08] Soft Linden: I'm going to make the summary more clear for this, but we can import it
- [12:08] Ephyu Reino: If you didn't already get one, Soft. Shows up when you resize the preview texture.
- [12:08] Alexa Linden: QA?
- [12:08] Soft Linden: nah, can go right to viewer triage
- [12:08] Alexa Linden: ok
- [12:09] Soft Linden: Alright, next up
- [12:09] Soft Linden: MISC-2855[c
- [12:09] JIRA-helper: http//jira.secondlife.com/browse/MISC-2855:
- [#MISC-2855] the spamming: MoneyOrb Script whitch send to every people automaticly and try open secondlifey.com
- [12:09] Latif Khalifa: that's really support issue, not bug
- [12:10] Soft Linden: Yeah. This should be contact support. They automatically forward things to engineering if there are a lot of reports like that.
- [12:10] Alexa Linden: ok
- [12:10] Soft Linden: But they may already have the tools to blacklist this object/script
- [12:10] Harleen Gretzky: I agree but the way it was entered if anybody but a Linden tried to close it for support it would havebeen reopened
- [12:10] Techwolf Lupindo: Need a way to indentify said object for AR.
- [12:10] Alexa Linden: true harleen
- [12:10] Techwolf Lupindo: Is there a way to get the UUID of spamming object?
- [12:10] Latif Khalifa: blacklisting objects is evil... don't want to get wrath of stroker again lol
- [12:11] Skills Hak: its in the pie menu
- [12:11] Soft Linden: Support will know how to get the UUID if you can find one live.
- [12:11] Ephyu Reino: Object UUIDs change constantly, they'd have to get the script's UUID and blacklist it.
- [12:11] Techwolf Lupindo: But what if the object is not in the same sim as you?
- [12:11] Soft Linden: You can accept one, and then tell support what it's called in your inventory.
- [12:12] Soft Linden: Just don't rez it and you're fine.
- [12:12] Techwolf Lupindo: I had some mysterious spam messages when I login into a known sim where build is turned off.
- [12:12] Soft Linden: SVC-4308[c
- [12:12] JIRA-helper: http//jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-4308:
- [#SVC-4308] incorrectly applied: to llOwnerSay
- [12:12] Techwolf Lupindo: Accecp object? How can you accecpt IM from objects?
- [12:12] Moon Metty: oh yes
- [12:12] Moon Metty: yesterday i tried this loop:
- [12:12] Morgaine Dinova: Blacklisting single objects is the wrong approach. If it's blacklisted, the spammers will jus create a new one.
- [12:13] Moon Metty: while (TRUE) llOwnerSAY((string)counter++);
- [12:13] Moon Metty: i reveived all messages
- [12:13] Moon Metty: only 2 arrived a bit late
- [12:13] Harleen Gretzky: Object IMs can be clicked on in local chat in 1.23 and it will tell you teh location and owner
- [12:13] Soft Linden: darling says it actually presents an error about "too many instant messages"
- [12:14] Moon Metty: no, Darling says that only happens with IM
- [12:14] Soft Linden: We do want some kind of throttle here, but it should probably pause the script a moment instead of dropping messages.
- [12:14] Ephyu Reino: No, they say that happens with llInstantMessage, but llOwnerSay has the same throttling behavior but without the error message.
- [12:14] Soft Linden: Ah
- [12:14] Soft Linden: bagh, that's lame
- [12:14] Harleen Gretzky: llOwnerSay fails silently, llInstantMessage gives you that error
- [12:14] Ephyu Reino: Why should llOwnerSay be throttled? I can't see it being abused.
- [12:14] Moon Metty: but with my loop i got 450 messages
- [12:14] Alexa Linden: eesh
- [12:14] Moon Metty: every message was there
- [12:15] Moon Metty: i didn't really try any further
- [12:15] Soft Linden: I'm going to change the summary, then it should be imported. "throttle apparently applied to llOwnerSay - messages are dropped without warning"
- [12:15] Harleen Gretzky: Sounds like she is using long messages also, maybe message length plays a factor
- [12:15] Alexa Linden: ok
- [12:16] Moon Metty: maybe, yes
- [12:16] Soft Linden: I'm not 100% sure this is an intentional throttle vs just dropping too many packets coming at once
- [12:16] Soft Linden: But engineering will know to investigate from that.
- [12:16] Moon Metty: maybe it was packetloss
- [12:16] Ephyu Reino: Could also be a case of the event queue filling up.
- [12:16] Soft Linden: Right.
- [12:16] Soft Linden: anyway, I changed that - can import
- [12:16] Alexa Linden: will do :)
- [12:17] Soft Linden: VWR-13532[c
- [12:17] JIRA-helper: http//jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-13532:
- [#VWR-13532] is not: being recognised
- [12:17] Ephyu Reino: Reproduced that myself already.
- [12:17] Latif Khalifa: its not supposed to work before server 1.27
- [12:18] Soft Linden: Let's import with a note asking if this is working in 1.27
- [12:18] Latif Khalifa: it is
- [12:18] Soft Linden: Or actually - is that on aditi already?
- [12:18] Alexa Linden: ok
- [12:18] Latif Khalifa: its part of http-in
- [12:18] Moon Metty: that's a different 1.27
- [12:18] Soft Linden: ah okay
- [12:19] Soft Linden: well, should be a really quick question for the core triage to answer
- [12:19] Latif Khalifa: http-in is supposed to be merged in 1.27
- [12:19] Soft Linden: Let's take it in and they can be certain.
- [12:19] Latif Khalifa: i have tested this extensivley in http-in sandbox
- [12:19] Latif Khalifa: on aditi
- [12:19] Soft Linden: Latif - and you're saying it's okay there?
- [12:19] Latif Khalifa: yes
- [12:19] Soft Linden: fair :3
- [12:19] Moon Metty: :)
- [12:20] Soft Linden: Okay. Expected behavior for 1.26 then. Someone just add a note explaining though?
- [12:20] Soft Linden: Otherwise it's likely to get re-opened.
- [12:20] Latif Khalifa: it was needed to be added to http-in since http-in urls change on region restart
- [12:20] Alexa Linden: k
- [12:20] Soft Linden: MISC-46[c
- [12:20] JIRA-helper: http//jira.secondlife.com/browse/MISC-46:
- [#MISC-46] to view: notecards: "Insufficient permissions to view notecard
- [12:20] Latif Khalifa: i'll add a comment explaining it
- [12:20] Ephyu Reino: I think the problem is that it looks like it -should- work in the script editor--the syntax is highlighted and everything.
- [12:21] Soft Linden: yeah. Someday we'll probably pass the constants/syntax own from the simulator instead of having slightly divergent editor and compiler notions of the language.
- [12:21] Data Landau: Ive seen this a number of time with my own notes, but have left it for a while and the notes can be read ok, Have put it down to lag of some kind...
- [12:21] Alexa Linden: this one is all 2007 until this last comment
- [12:21] Moon Metty: i get this when i try to open a script before the inventory of the object is fully loaded
- [12:21] Alexa Linden: and I can't repro
- [12:22] Latif Khalifa: most comments refer to a different bug
- [12:22] Latif Khalifa: i wish i had memory like Moon :)
- [12:22] Soft Linden: Not a lot of detail here - is this 1.23 only?
- [12:22] Alexa Linden: :)
- [12:22] Moon Metty: hehe
- [12:22] Soft Linden: Ah whoops - old
- [12:22] Alexa Linden: ya, NMI
- [12:22] Latif Khalifa: the one about editing scipts and notecards in objects not owned by you, but you have permissions to their objects
- [12:22] Alexa Linden: I'd like more info from the past poster
- [12:23] Alexa Linden: right
- [12:23] Moon Metty: ahh, that one Latif
- [12:23] Latif Khalifa: yeah that one...
- [12:23] Soft Linden: I dont like this 2 year gap between the last two comments
- [12:23] Morgaine Dinova: Wow
- [12:23] Alexa Linden: right, I don't think it's the same thing
- [12:24] Soft Linden: I'd like to know if many people are seeing this now, and if it's 1.23 only
- [12:24] Alexa Linden: ya, NMI and clarification
- [12:24] Soft Linden: So NMI, asking for viewer information from aynone having the issue
- [12:24] Moon Metty: yes
- [12:24] WolfPup Lowenhar: the only time i see it is when there is a lot of lag
- [12:24] Alexa Linden: same
- [12:24] Ephyu Reino: I only get it during heavy lag or when opening something from the inventory of an object that has a lot of contents.
- [12:24] Soft Linden: I wish older comments yellowed like paper or something
- [12:24] Alexa Linden: lol
- [12:25] Moon Metty: lol
- [12:25] Morgaine Dinova: chuckles
- [12:25] Ephyu Reino: ...Would that really be that hard to do?
- [12:25] Phillip Vought: There's a patent there Soft ;)
- [12:25] Soft Linden: ha!
- [12:25] Soft Linden: VWR-2726[c
- [12:25] JIRA-helper: http//jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-2726:
- [#VWR-2726] inventory folders: open
- [12:25] Morgaine Dinova: Or reddened out of embarassment :-)
- [12:25] Moon Metty: old comments like "since the last update"
- [12:25] Latif Khalifa: [1]
- [12:25] [[User:JIRA-helper: [#VWR-1121|JIRA-helper: [#VWR-1121]]:
- [12:25] Latif Khalifa: found it :P
- [12:25] Latif Khalifa: 56 votes, two years old
- [12:26] Soft Linden: Or like - little pumpkins and Christmas trees and such inserspersed between comments to show passing time.
- [12:26] Morgaine Dinova: lol
- [12:27] Latif Khalifa: prospero told me once that it was marked resolved internally as SL-46871 lol
- [12:27] Soft Linden: Okay, so supposedly we have a preference here that isn't working for some people.
- [12:27] Latif Khalifa: but its most definetly not resolved
- [12:27] Latif Khalifa: preference?
- [12:27] Soft Linden: Looks to me like VWR-2726 should go to QA
- [12:28] Soft Linden: Yeah, per Alexa's comment on 14/Apr/09
- [12:28] Alexa Linden: hmmmm
- [12:28] Alexa Linden: well with the option that was added
- [12:28] Alexa Linden: it would have been expected behavior
- [12:28] Alexa Linden: if you had checked the box
- [12:29] Harleen Gretzky: Unrelated to teh preference, whenever you have two inventory windows open and one is filtered this happens
- [12:29] Alexa Linden: yes, your folders would open every time you received something
- [12:29] Alexa Linden: that too
- [12:29] Moon Metty: aha
- [12:29] Soft Linden: ah, really?
- [12:29] Moon Metty: yes, it can be very nervous when you have 2 windows open
- [12:30] Moon Metty: folders opening and closing ...
- [12:30] Alexa Linden: yup
- [12:30] Soft Linden: Someone send me an item?
- [12:30] Baldi McMillan: that one is a bear
- [12:30] Moon Metty: very hard to clean your inventory
- [12:30] Alexa Linden: or reorganize
- [12:30] Soft Linden: Any old object or what have you
- [12:30] Moon Metty: yeah
- [12:30] Skills Hak: yup annoying one
- [12:30] WolfPup Lowenhar: or organize it especialy after a fishing contest wehre there a lot of custom items given
- [12:31] Alexa Linden: and the system whips the folders by so fast
- [12:31] Skills Hak: or the inventory list scrolls when you get online notification popups
- [12:31] Harleen Gretzky: You just have to close the folders on the filtered side and as soon as you pick up an item from the filtered side and drag it to the unfiltered window the filtered window opens all folders again
- [12:31] Alexa Linden: it's easy to drop stuff in the wrong folder
- [12:31] Moon Metty: very easy Alexa :)
- [12:31] Soft Linden: This isn't reproing for me with two windows and taking an item
- [12:31] Latif Khalifa: it seems to happen only if your inventory window is focused though...
- [12:32] WolfPup Lowenhar: soft try filtering one window and moving a lot of items at the same time from the filtered list to the non-filtered
- [12:33] Harleen Gretzky: Open 2 windows, filter one, close all folders in the filter, open on folder drag an object from filtered to unfiltered, then filtered window will have all folders open
- [12:33] Squirrel Wood: that is likely because it is reapplying the filter.
- [12:33] Baldi McMillan: i sometime open three or more to do the sorting because onf the folders opening
- [12:33] Squirrel Wood: which would be proper behavior if y'ask me
- [12:34] Soft Linden: Ah, okay - it reopens all the folders in the source window
- [12:34] Harleen Gretzky: correct
- [12:34] Soft Linden: okay. This can go to internal triage
- [12:34] Alexa Linden: k
- [12:34] Soft Linden: I'll be there, can add details when we triage it there.
- [12:35] Soft Linden: SVC-914[c
- [12:35] JIRA-helper: http//jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-914:
- [#SVC-914] is not: triggered when texture is changed via script
- [12:35] Soft Linden: Yup, this would be inconsistent. This should go to triage.
- [12:35] Moon Metty: yup
- [12:35] Alexa Linden: k
- [12:35] Moon Metty: it's old too
- [12:36] Soft Linden: SVC-3162[c
- [12:36] JIRA-helper: http//jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-3162:
- [#SVC-3162] gets stuck: in pre-jump state and slides along the ground waiting to jump.
- [12:36] Soft Linden: oh yay this!
- [12:36] Object: Hello,: Avatar!
- [12:36] Alexa Linden: lol
- [12:36] Skills Hak: istn that a ZHAO bug?
- [12:36] Moon Metty: SVC-3860 was imported
- [12:36] JIRA-helper: http//jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-3860:
- [#SVC-3860] freezes avatar:
- [12:36] Soft Linden: Nah, seen this with plenty of AOs
- [12:37] Soft Linden: Yeah, this would likely be a dupe of that
- [12:37] Alexa Linden: k
- [12:37] Moon Metty: i didn't find the old post, because the jira didn't find "prejump"
- [12:37] WolfPup Lowenhar: i just tested that one wiht my ao and it works fine
- [12:37] Phillip Vought: ohh dear god PLEASE fix this.. ;)
- [12:37] Soft Linden: Looks like Andrew Linden has a fix on 3860, so maybe 1.30
- [12:37] Latif Khalifa: jira search... is... how to find non adult word to describe it ;)
- [12:37] Moon Metty: lol
- [12:37] Alexa Linden: lol
- [12:37] Soft Linden: (1.30 comes after 1.27 - there's no 28 or 29)
- [12:37] Baldi McMillan: O.O
- [12:37] WolfPup Lowenhar: harleen can tell you she though i had eaten a jumping bean
- [12:38] Alexa Linden: Jira search will be getting better
- [12:38] Soft Linden: We're moving to even numbers for release, odd numbers for development after 1.27.
- [12:38] Soft Linden: So 1.27, 1.30, 1.32, 1.34, ...
- [12:38] Phillip Vought: You've got an old linux guy in your QA dept now?
- [12:38] Soft Linden: Not in QA. A stinky stupid lousy Linux kernel contributer suggested it.
- [12:38] Soft Linden: is that stinky dev. :3
- [12:39] Moon Metty: :)
- [12:39] Latif Khalifa: hehe
- [12:39] Phantom Ninetails: Aw I don't like that version numbering scheme.
- [12:39] Morgaine Dinova: Awww :-)
- [12:39] Phillip Vought: Soft is a junior beard ;)
- [12:39] Soft Linden: VWR-4913[c
- [12:39] JIRA-helper: http//jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-4913:
- [#VWR-4913] not returning: to Lost and Found folder
- [12:39] WolfPup Lowenhar: that is old look at the dates
- [12:39] Alexa Linden: 2008
- [12:40] Soft Linden: yeah, but the problem is - like you heard with people mistaking http-in for the "real" 1.27... we get all these internal/alpha bugs attributed to the release, and we waste a lot of time chasing dev branch bugs in the release branch
- [12:40] Soft Linden: so skipping numbers will help cut that back
- [12:40] Soft Linden: It will also stop these silly "We've got the 1.23 viewer before LL!" announcements and stuff.
- [12:41] Soft Linden: VWR-4913...
- [12:41] Phantom Ninetails: Hm, fair enough I suppose
- [12:41] Phillip Vought: Can i make a proposal that you do a "sweep" of jira and close anythiing older than 12 months with <2 votes?
- [12:41] Alexa Linden: We've tried that before Phillip
- [12:41] Baldi McMillan: it would make the search easier if nothing else
- [12:41] Soft Linden: Well, we already give preferential attention to newer/higher-voted stuff
- [12:41] Alexa Linden: people freak out
- [12:41] Baldi McMillan: LOL
- [12:41] Soft Linden: This is only one triage of three, and only this one looks at non-RC stuff afaik
- [12:42] Phillip Vought: "people" are stupid.. known fact
- [12:42] Baldi McMillan: people freak out all the time
- [12:42] Alexa Linden: believe me.. I've tried
- [12:42] Baldi McMillan: LOL
- [12:42] Latif Khalifa: i remember when torley closed all windlight bugs... not pretty
- [12:42] Latif Khalifa: haha
- [12:42] Baldi McMillan: yes Phillup
- [12:42] Soft Linden: JIRA attracts people who like to freak out. Engineers who are really into a project tend to have pet issues. It's fine. :3
- [12:42] Phillip Vought: kk
- [12:43] Phantom Ninetails: I like how you put that. :P
- [12:43] Alexa Linden: This should be contact support
- [12:43] Soft Linden: For VWR-4913 though, we deployed stuff a while back that should have cut this back. I'd like to know if people are still seeing it
- [12:43] Soft Linden: I think there's a separate 1.23 bug that has stuff appearing in Objects/Textures/etc instead of the trash. But that would be a different issue.
- [12:43] Harleen Gretzky: Sounds like NMI then
- [12:43] Alexa Linden: there are different reasons they might not be seeing the returned uitems
- [12:43] Soft Linden: Yeah.
- [12:43] Squirrel Wood: just comment all jiras with no new comments in the past 6 months as "nmi" or "still happening?" and close any that do not receive an update after three months ?
- [12:43] Alexa Linden: items*
- [12:43] Phillip Vought: inventory has been stable for me for a while.. and the concierge "reset" tool has solved any minor issues
- [12:43] Soft Linden: NMI - still happening, and are the items gone, or just in the wrong location.
- [12:43] Moon Metty: yes Soft
- [12:44] Latif Khalifa: some people get confused by the fact that sandbox regions don't return stuff, but simply wipe it out
- [12:44] Soft Linden: I wish we wouldn't do that.
- [12:44] Phillip Vought: ya.. caught me by suprise the first time ;)
- [12:44] Squirrel Wood: you'd run out of asset uuids? ^^
- [12:44] Soft Linden: Especially since a lot of resis don't know that Linden- and private sandboxes are different in that regard.
- [12:44] Latif Khalifa: yes, linden sandboxes evil
- [12:45] Latif Khalifa: resi ones not
- [12:45] Latif Khalifa: haha
- [12:45] Soft Linden: Pretty much! The private ones tend to have a swarm of EMs with twitchy fingers. We'd have to hire 20 more support staffers to match that in ours!
- [12:45] Phantom Ninetails: lol
- [12:45] Squirrel Wood: twitchy... yes. very. :p
- [12:45] Soft Linden: Anyway, all clear on NMI for this one?
- [12:45] Phillip Vought: and 20 more to provide the emo ;)
- [12:45] Moon Metty: yes
- [12:46] Alexa Linden: yup
- [12:46] Phantom Ninetails: And private sandboxes use that banlink thing that's banned one of my friends..
- [12:46] Soft Linden: On to the misc pool...
- [12:46] Squirrel Wood: drama queens... need at least 50 of those too :p
- [12:46] WolfPup Lowenhar: i have one to discus when this meeting is over that already has a dev number
- [12:46] Soft Linden: MISC-2862[c
- [12:46] JIRA-helper: http//jira.secondlife.com/browse/MISC-2862:
- [#MISC-2862] passwords not: usable with jira, xstreet or forums
- [12:46] Soft Linden: Ack. This would be pretty crappy.
- [12:46] Soft Linden: This belongs in WEB- but it should be imported.
- [12:47] Phillip Vought: someone needs consistent password filters ;)
- [12:47] Phillip Vought: web, or hopefully LDAP backend
- [12:47] Soft Linden: that said, anyone using the "degree" symbol in his password deserves what he gets :3
- [12:47] Latif Khalifa: haha
- [12:47] Moon Metty: hehehe
- [12:47] Baldi McMillan: yes Y would U ?
- [12:47] Soft Linden: You got that one, Alexa?
- [12:47] Alexa Linden: yup
- [12:47] Soft Linden: thumbsup!
- [12:48] Morgaine Dinova: All 7-bit should be allowed, no? Or only printable chars?
- [12:48] Soft Linden: MISC-1978[c
- [12:48] JIRA-helper: http//jira.secondlife.com/browse/MISC-1978:
- [#MISC-1978] showing payment: info on file on profile
- [12:48] Phillip Vought: same reason we use
- [12:48] Soft Linden: good question, Morgaine. Not sure
- [12:48] WolfPup Lowenhar: i work for a company in RL and they make you have at least 1 special charecter in your password
- [12:48] Phillip Vought: because yanks dont have it on their keyboards
- [12:48] Latif Khalifa: the whole payment thing is messed up
- [12:49] Latif Khalifa: you cannot seem to be ableto ever delete it either
- [12:49] Soft Linden: Hrm.
- [12:49] WolfPup Lowenhar: there is a way to put it in
- [12:49] Phantom Ninetails: alt+0176..
- [12:49] Soft Linden: Does anyone know if this payment info mismatch is common?
- [12:49] Phantom Ninetails: A character that's not on the keyboard certainly would make a stronger password, yeah
- [12:49] WolfPup Lowenhar: yep
- [12:50] Latif Khalifa: soft its very common
- [12:50] WolfPup Lowenhar: i know mine is on file but dose not show up in my profile
- [12:50] Morgaine Dinova: There's probably an internationalization issue here.
- [12:50] Latif Khalifa: but it cuts both ways, sometimes when you delete payment info it still shows up
- [12:51] Techwolf Lupindo: All printable charaters shoujld be allowed. Along with passphrases. Passpharases are very long passwords of full sentences or phrases without spaces.
- [12:51] Soft Linden: I think this would benefit from NMI. What payment method? International? Any other trends?
- [12:51] WolfPup Lowenhar: i stad corrected just looked at my profile and it is there
- [12:51] Phillip Vought: sounds like a synch problem soft.. all records indicate that when LL touch the record it works
- [12:52] Soft Linden: Yeah. I know there's some web code that automatically syncs things up if looking at a CSR record. But that's a gross hack.
- [12:52] Soft Linden: I'd like to understand when/why this happens.
- [12:52] Phillip Vought: to cover up for a bug ;)
- [12:52] Soft Linden: Hopefully resis can help spot something that engineers have missed.
- [12:52] Soft Linden: Right.
- [12:52] Phillip Vought: so it should be imported ;)
- [12:52] Alexa Linden: well It'd be good to have more info to see patterns
- [12:52] Soft Linden: I'd like to try to NMI first though. Any extra info would help fix it sooner.
- [12:53] Soft Linden: The QA guys will hate us if we ask them to sit down and start entering their own credit cards, paypal, etc to track this down, unless there's no other choice :3
- [12:54] Soft Linden: Next up...
- [12:54] Soft Linden: VWR-1546[c
- [12:54] JIRA-helper: http//jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-1546:
- [#VWR-1546] Chat says: only participant when there are other participants.
- [12:54] WolfPup Lowenhar: that also looks like it was befor the new SL server roll outs
- [12:54] Moon Metty: an old groupchat report
- [12:54] Harleen Gretzky: No one has commented since Soft did, maybe NMI this?
- [12:54] Alexa Linden: will do
- [12:54] Soft Linden: Yeah.
- [12:55] Soft Linden: Harleen is right. Agaiiiiin. Man I get sick of that. >:(
- [12:55] Harleen Gretzky: lol
- [12:55] Moon Metty: lol
- [12:55] Soft Linden: VWR-8143[c
- [12:55] JIRA-helper: http//jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-8143:
- [#VWR-8143] Spots on: Objects and Avatars since the rolling restart on Friday the 11th of July
- [12:55] Alexa Linden: NMI - she didn't say is she was using the latest RC?
- [12:55] Squirrel Wood: driver update, still happening ?
- [12:55] Alexa Linden: yup on both
- [12:56] WolfPup Lowenhar: latley i have been gettin faild to send message to [RECEPITENT
- [12:56] Soft Linden: That's almost certainly a bit of bad video memory
- [12:56] Moon Metty: that sounds plausible
- [12:57] Phantom Ninetails: Never seen anything like that before
- [12:57] WolfPup Lowenhar: or they could be running a vid card that uses shared memory
- [12:57] Soft Linden: I don't suppose anyone knows of a generic VRAM testing utility?
- [12:57] Harleen Gretzky: I have looked at teh object in snapshot 012 and I do not see teh green spot myslef
- [12:58] Soft Linden: Harleen, it's just one texel inside the red circle
- [12:58] Phantom Ninetails: I'm not sure if there are any free vram test utilities out there.
- [12:58] Harleen Gretzky: I know, but it was not there on my viewer I went there the night the snapshot was added
- [12:58] Latif Khalifa: I know its not on the triage list, but this started happening since 1.26.4 (latest server)... money notifications sometimes not get through... causes a lot of disturbance "just payed you", "no you didn't" SVC-4325
- [12:58] JIRA-helper: http//jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-4325:
- [#SVC-4325] transaction notifications: fail
- [12:58] Soft Linden: Ah, gotcha
- [12:59] Morgaine Dinova: On that group chat issue, when was it added that you remove yourself from the group listener just by closing the tab?
