- [14:03] Davy Linden: me too :(
- [14:03] Bambers Linden: ditto - seems to be having a problem
- [14:03] Kaluura Boa: Very slow...
- [14:04] Moon Metty: the page doesn't refresh for me, but i alraedy had it up
- [14:04] Liisa Runo: it is always very slow
- [14:04] Bambers Linden: Alexa - do you see the page ok? We could paste until wiki feels better
- [14:04] Dessie Linden: Gee, Alexa... you look much more casual than you did earlier today. xD
- [14:04] Alexa Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-15738
- [14:04] [[User:JIRA-helper: [#VWR-15738|JIRA-helper: [#VWR-15738]]:
- [14:04] Techwolf Lupindo: The wiki can scale...look at wikipidiea. So the slowness can be fixed. :-)
- [14:04] Bambers Linden: yeah! Workarounds FTW! Until bugs are fixed of course....
- [14:05] Moon Metty: i uploaded a 64x64 before the meeting
- [14:05] Moon Metty: it came out well
- [14:05] Moon Metty: lossless
- [14:05] Dirk Talamasca: Been workin around 5 years now
- [14:05] Bambers Linden: this is newly reported though. SL Viewer?
- [14:05] Moon Metty: the grey edges maybe come from the texture not loading to full discard level
- [14:06] Latif Khalifa: sasy both snowglobe 1.1 and official 1.23
- [14:06] Bambers Linden: possibly. Has anybody else seen this?
- [14:06] Davy Linden: it repros for me, using the attached texture
- [14:07] Bambers Linden: aah, ok. Anything special about the texture?
- [14:07] Yann Dufaux: hi all sorry for this interupt
- [14:07] Bambers Linden: hi :)
- [14:07] Dessie Linden: hey Yann
- [14:08] Latif Khalifa: yeah it repros
- [14:08] Alexa Linden: so davy you can repro
- [14:08] Bambers Linden: ok, should we import or send to Snowglobe triage?
- [14:08] Latif Khalifa: strange
- [14:08] Latif Khalifa: i can too
- [14:08] Alexa Linden: do we want to import to test
- [14:08] Moon Metty: :)
- [14:08] Yann Dufaux: hey hello Dessie
- [14:08] Alexa Linden: I can ask robla about it too
- [14:08] Latif Khalifa: the attached image repros the problem
- [14:08] Moon Metty: hehe
- [14:08] Latif Khalifa: funky, i have uploaded a lot of sculpts, have not noticed a problem
- [14:09] Bambers Linden: ok, let's do that. We see a repro but I'm wondering where it'd get fixed
- [14:09] Moon Metty: pretty strange, yes
- [14:09] Yann Dufaux: hi fisher
- [14:09] Davy Linden: there's the (lossless) testure, offset so you can see the grey
- [14:09] Bambers Linden: hi fisher !
- [14:09] Alexa Linden: importing then
- [14:09] Bambers Linden: okey dokey
- [14:09] Alexa Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-4895
- [14:09] [[User:JIRA-helper: [#SVC-4895|JIRA-helper: [#SVC-4895]]:
- [14:09] Bambers Linden: neeeeeeeeeeeext...
- [14:10] Bambers Linden: test on Alexa's boots!
- [14:10] Alexa Linden: eyes bambers......
- [14:10] Bambers Linden: sorry
- [14:10] Imaze Rhiano: humm..
- [14:10] Dessie Linden: the belt would prolly be better... :o)
- [14:11] Alexa Linden: belt has no scripts
- [14:11] Bambers Linden: reported as server... is this def server only?
- [14:11] Dessie Linden: d'oh!
- [14:11] Moon Metty: i tried SVC-4895 today
- [14:11] Tegg Bode: Hmm we are testing how well they merge with a chair on a molecular level or are the boots actually half a chair each side?
- [14:11] Moon Metty: but i realized it would be a long test, so i stopped
- [14:11] Latif Khalifa: i know that the viewer does not work if you inject scripts into child prims with a script
- [14:11] Can't rez: object 'SKINNY Chunky Ribbon Boot calf - black (left)' at { 78.5958, 84.1115, 350.846 } on parcel 'Linden Village - Bambers Linden' in region Denby because the owner of this land does not allow it. Use the land tool to see land ownership.
- [14:12] Bambers Linden: the thing it's missing is a nice straightforward repro
- [14:12] Entering god: mode, level 150
- [14:12] Imaze Rhiano: he is linking primitives with scripts and then trying to reset scripts in linked object?
- [14:12] Latif Khalifa: you need to re-rez object before reset/recompile/set running will work
- [14:12] Alexa Linden: mah boot... let me show you
- [14:13] Liisa Runo: 19 scripts to do the job of one... (sent IM to creator today)
- [14:13] Bambers Linden: Latif - you think that's what the reporter is running foul of?
- [14:14] Moon Metty: i don't think it is Bambers
- [14:14] Bambers Linden: hmm
- [14:14] Latif Khalifa: after re-reding his report, no
- [14:14] Moon Metty: what Latif is talking about is some security thing
- [14:14] Latif Khalifa: its not security its a bug ;)
- [14:14] Moon Metty: which noone seems to understand lol
- [14:15] Bambers Linden: :) do we need more info? or do we have suggestions?
- [14:15] Moon Metty: more testing ...
- [14:15] Moon Metty: it could be a wonky asset server
- [14:16] Techwolf Lupindo: Is there a bug filed for what Latif is talking about? If so, link. If not, add more info or file a new bug.
- [14:16] Dessie Linden: Moon wins for being the first to use the word "wonky"!
- [14:16] Latif Khalifa: you take a linkset, you put a script in the main prim that inject scripts into other prims, and then you try to set them running, it fails, because the viewer does not know child prims have inventory, My guess is that the server never sends an object update that sets HasInventory flag on a prim
- [14:16] Bambers Linden: hmm, could be I suppose. How would we test the asset server?
- [14:16] Moon Metty: hahaha
- [14:16] Bambers Linden: O.o you guys are good
- [14:16] Opensource Obscure: oh la la. ciao a tutti. EHLO. hi
- [14:17] Latif Khalifa: hello OO
- [14:17] Bambers Linden: hi OO
- [14:17] Moon Metty: hi OS :)

- [14:17] Dessie Linden: heya Open

- [14:17] [[User:JIRA-helper: [#SVC-4895|JIRA-helper: [#SVC-4895]]:
- [14:17] Alexa Linden: hwo do we want to proceed?
- [14:17] Imaze Rhiano: he isn't saying anything about injecting script to other primitives by one script in root primitive
- [14:17] Latif Khalifa: i personalyl have never encoutered SVC-4895 when manually inserting scripts like the OP says he's doing
- [14:18] Moon Metty: i'm willing to try it a few times
- [14:18] Dessie Linden: we could leave it for now and wait for a repro
- [14:18] Dessie Linden: shall we move on and come back to it later?
- [14:19] Bambers Linden: try for a repro then and re-triage later? Possibly push to server?
- [14:19] Moon Metty: yup
- [14:19] Alexa Linden: ok
- [14:19] Alexa Linden: I'll update and ask fro repro

- [14:20] Dessie Linden: not really tho
- [14:20] Bambers Linden: I think this sounds like a dupe
- [14:20] Latif Khalifa: hm the report does not mention email
- [14:20] Davy Linden: we need more info on the format of email he's trying to use
- [14:20] Bambers Linden: oh - not quite the dupe I was thinking of
- [14:20] Alexa Linden: KK
- [14:21] Bambers Linden: +1 - NMI

- [14:22] Alexa Linden: 1. please try main viewer....
- [14:22] Latif Khalifa: what issue are you talking about?
- [14:22] Davy Linden: no, alexa, it's on the web - viewer version makes no difference
- [14:22] Latif Khalifa: Davy, exactly :)
- [14:22] Latif Khalifa: got confused there for a sec
- [14:22] Lilly Zenovka: reproduced with main & rc
- [14:22] Davy Linden: should probebly be WEB rather than SVC
- [14:22] Alexa Linden: is too
- [14:22] Latif Khalifa: it was WEB issue
- [14:22] Latif Khalifa: yeah
- [14:23] Yann Dufaux: he have a possible warning message on the consol?
- [14:23] Bambers Linden: now I'm confused...

- [14:24] Bambers Linden: anybody using Snow Leopard and wants to risk a crash?
- [14:24] Lilly Zenovka: yes
- [14:24] Lilly Zenovka: i confirm this one.
- [14:25] Latif Khalifa: there was a service release to snow leopard 10.6.1, perhaps it got solvev?
- [14:25] Bambers Linden: is there a simple repro you can add?
- [14:25] Lilly Zenovka: I'm willin to try
- [14:25] Latif Khalifa: solved even ;)
- [14:26] Bambers Linden: ok, please give it a go, try to add your remarks as step-by-steps and let's see how it goes
- [14:26] Bambers Linden: repro = import
- [14:26] Lilly Zenovka: k
- [14:26] Alexa Linden: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-4891

- [14:27] Dessie Linden: sounds reasonable
- [14:27] Moon Metty: yup
- [14:27] Alexa Linden: importing it will go then
- [14:27] Bambers Linden: trash collection wouldn't be a problem if soft paid his housing association dues
- [14:27] Alexa Linden: lol

- [14:28] Moon Metty: linking and unlinking with mixed perms
- [14:28] Bambers Linden: love the object name. functional.
- [14:29] Alexa Linden: I'd like clear repro steps and perms for each prim
- [14:29] Davy Linden: +1
- [14:29] Alexa Linden: NMI it is!
- [14:29] Bambers Linden: yeah, this sounds like expected behaviour. the reporter didn't own all of the linked objects. just several?
- [14:29] Moon Metty: i think it's expected behaviour
- [14:29] Bambers Linden: (am I wrong?)
- [14:29] Alexa Linden: me too
- [14:29] Davy Linden: "parts I had attached to another AVs creation" suggests to me that the prim changed ownership at some point
- [14:30] Latif Khalifa: you cannot link objects that are owned by different people
- [14:30] Alexa Linden: yup yup

- [14:31] Latif Khalifa: who say the folder icon is supposed to change? ;)
- [14:32] Latif Khalifa: just because there is an icon, it does not mean it needs to be used
- [14:32] Bambers Linden: ooh, that's a good one. I honestly cannot recall if it did / should, but if the art asset is there then is it expected..?
- [14:32] Latif Khalifa: and Herleen, notes that as far back as 1.18
- [14:32] Dessie Linden: the orientation of the arrow changes, but has the icon ever changed?
- [14:32] Latif Khalifa: it was not changing back then
- [14:32] Latif Khalifa: Dessie, at least since 1.18 it has not
- [14:32] Dessie Linden: thinks this is expected behavior
- [14:32] Alexa Linden: I don't remember it changing
- [14:33] Alexa Linden: +1

- [14:33] lufpleh Obstreperous: can only ever rember the arrow changing
- [14:33] Latif Khalifa: haha
- [14:33] Bambers Linden: I would argue not a bug, but rather undocumented feature
- [14:33] Moon Metty: lol
- [14:33] Alexa Linden: FR?
- [14:33] Bambers Linden: :)
- [14:33] Dessie Linden: prefers rosemary
- [14:33] Latif Khalifa: is still getting used to his new keyboard, typo galore to be expected ;)
- [14:33] Moon Metty: FR for me
- [14:33] Alexa Linden: so we can go either Expected behavior or move to FR
- [14:33] Dirk Talamasca: That's the secret word for it, isn't it Alexa?
- [14:33] Alexa Linden: shhhhhhh
- [14:34] Alexa Linden: FR then?

- [14:39] Bambers Linden: heh - Ellla, you're ahead of me at every turn :D

- [14:40] Alexa Linden: 1.23 is all that's liste

- [14:41] Alexa Linden: more votes on the other
- [14:41] Moon Metty: i'm not sure
- [14:42] Yann Dufaux: i need more information for my part, if i can test on snowglobe*
- [14:42] Alexa Linden: and the other we've triaged twice in our monday meetings
- [14:42] Moon Metty: i wonder if Jalestra has an ATI card too
- [14:42] Latif Khalifa: VWR-15707 says freezes for teh past week, SVC-4857 says since 1.30, the description of the symptopms look the same
- [14:42] Bambers Linden: is it worth asking the contributors to comment with their environments too?
- [14:43] Davy Linden: I would NMI - ask for environment, and more details
- [14:43] Alexa Linden: on 15707 or 4857
- [14:43] Bambers Linden: what he said

- [14:46] Bambers Linden: lol
- [14:46] Latif Khalifa: it would be strange if scripts in attachments stopped working in any case, after sitting
- [14:46] Yann Dufaux: Haha :p
- [14:46] Alexa Linden: and number of linked items I think
- [14:46] Bambers Linden: maybe that information could be sought
- [14:46] Yann Dufaux: limite of size*
- [14:46] Dessie Linden: is very carefully avoiding comment
- [14:46] Moon Metty: very strange, Latif
- [14:46] Alexa Linden: looks at her shoes
- [14:46] Moon Metty: then again, it is SL
- [14:46] Latif Khalifa: except is he didn't put the front of the ship in a no-script parcel :P
- [14:46] Moon Metty: hah !
- [14:46] Alexa Linden: LOL
- [14:46] Bambers Linden: also a good point worth asking. But politely
- [14:47] Lilly Zenovka: Should we ask him for the distance between the chair and the root prim ?
- [14:47] Bambers Linden: that's very close to "did you plug it in?"
