[13:16] Lexie Linden: Next is a bit of early information on the upcoming Resident Help Network. And I also would like your feedback.
[13:16] Lexie Linden: First a question for feedback
[13:16] Lexie Linden: The groups you all know of that are langauge specific type of help...do they normally only speak a non-English language? Or is there some English often involved as well?
[13:17] Lexie Linden: Meaning..if an group applies for the RHN..would it be fair to ask for the application in English?
[13:17] Youri Ashton: for Dutch residents its usually Dutch, English and in some cases German and French, perhaps more languages
[13:17] Lexie Linden: ok
[13:17] Wiki Scribe: the groups I know usually got at least one english speaking resident in there to help out
[13:18] Youri Ashton: think bulli can agree on that one

[13:18] Bulli Schumann: I don't know any other helper groups to be honest
[13:18] Yann Dufaux: why you can't said,use snowglobe with the translator in your language for the CT meeting? ㋡

[13:21] Youri Ashton: it's hard to translate something if you do not know english. i wonder how that resident will translate english to their own langage...

[13:21] Youri Ashton: I have a feeling the Dutch are one of the few that speak 2 or more langauges at this time

[13:22] Lexie Linden: I think at the start the group will need one English speaking person who can represent until we have more language resources available.
[13:22] Youri Ashton: let me put it this way, i personally have not seen anyone else do 2 or more languages besides the Dutch

[13:22] Lexie Linden: Also ..I wanted to give you an early heads up about some of the criteria for the Resident Help Network "Best of the Best" program.
[13:22] Wiki Scribe: can you reveal more info on how the new RHN will look like, compared to the beta?
[13:22] Radioactive Rosca: Portuguese do speak English or French as second language
[13:23] Lexie Linden: Early plan is that first groups in will need to have a New Resident focus
[13:23] Lexie Linden: They need to have 50+ active members
[13:23] Youri Ashton: they do? oh okay, thats good then. that makes 2 countries that have advantage :)

[13:23] Lexie Linden: Supporting documentation such as web or wiki or a forum
[13:24] Wiki Scribe: how do you determine if they got "active" members, rather than just members?
[13:24] Lexie Linden: also they will need 3 Resident testimonials saying how the group helped them

[13:24] BlckCobra Shikami: yep, I know ... I get bashed daily for that because of inventory loss
[13:24] Lexie Linden: They will need to be in good standing with Linden Lab. Meaning..good reputation, not a bunch of discipline actions on owner/founder

[13:25] Lexie Linden: They will also need to meet with a Linden 1: 1 for an interview

[13:28] BlckCobra Shikami: How woudl a group like Scripter Support Group fit into this concept/requirements. There are a bunch of people doing a great job day by day helping newbie scripter or even experienced scripter with tips and tricks and hints
[13:28] Youri Ashton: your one of the best in the dutch team bulli, get used to it :p
[13:29] Lexie Linden: Blck - If they do not have a new resdient help as their main focus then they might need to wait for the next round of applications. Helping seasoned residents learn skills is important too. Just not in the first phase of RHN : )
