There is a danger, however (I'm speaking from experience). If you inadvertently REPLACE OUTFIT on a folder you meant to ADD TO OUTFIT, you'll end up naked wearing only a pair of earrings... | ;Points To Consider
:ADD TO OUTFITS are useful when a folder contains "partial outfits" and you'd want to add them to your current look. For example, you can create folders of acccessories only (such as bracelets or watches or sparkle earrings). After you dress yourself, you can right click ADD TO OUTFIT on one of these accessory folders.

How To Quick Change Into Another Outfit Using REPLACE OUTFITThe contents of this page is in part, a rehash of the previous page. However, I feel it warrants its own page. Newbies will often change clothing by going into Appearances, then put on a different shirt, hair, shoes, and what-not. If all of the clothing items are stored in one folder, why do it this way?
I will give new residents a series of "fun" custom avatars. They are DARTH VADER, DIVINE TECH BY DAITENSHI KATO, KOOLAID MAN BY BEBOP VOX, HALO AVATAR BY PARTY PUSSYCAT. If they've been coached on saving their current appearances to a folder, they will also be able to take advantage of the REPLACE OUTFIT feature.
Find a folder with your complete appearances saved in it. For example, DARTH VADER or -LOLI ANGES CREAM as the screen shot shows. Right click the folder (not the contents of the folder) and select REPLACE OUTFIT. At this point, they'll want to learn how to look at themselves from the front. Explain that there are several methods, but show them the quickie way:
REPLACE OUTFIT will take off everything it can, and replace it with the contents of the new folder. ADD TO OUTFIT will add to your current appearance, replacing only what it must. For example observe the following generic folder contents: Folder1: male hair1 male shape1 male skin1 eyes1 shirt1 pants1 Folder2: female shape2 shoes2 flexi-hair2 HUD2
If a newbie right clicks Folder 1 and selects REPLACE OUTFIT, he'll be transformed into an avatar wearing a Male Shape1, Male Hair1, Male Skin1, Eyes1, Shirt1 and Pants1. Let's say it's a generic newbie. Now if a newbie continues and right clicks Folder 2 and select REPLACE OUTFIT, the following logic applies:
In the end, the newbie will be wearing: male hair1 female shape2 male skin1 eyes1 shoes2 flexi-hair2 HUD2 That is, the newbie would have changed from a male shape to a female shape, wearing no shirt nor pants, having male skin and hair, wearing shoes and flexi-hair and have a HUD on their screen.
So let's assume we are starting out with the resident wearing the contents of Folder 1. If a newbie right clicks Folder 2 and select ADD TO OUTFIT, the following logic applies:
In the end, the newbie will be wearing: male hair1 female shape2 male skin1 eyes1 shirt1 pants1 shoes2 flexi-hair2 HUD2 That is, the newbie would have changed from a male shape to a female shape, fully clothed and wearing shoes even! But will have male hair and skin, still, and will have flexi-hair and a HUD.
