The Second Life mentors are hosting a Weekend of Learning at their Headquarters at Tenera where they share their wealth of information in a week packed full of classes! Previously this has been held only over a weekend but we're trialing a week during September.

Description: | LindeX ist the exchange portal to change U.S.-Dollars with Lindendollars. What is the exchange rate? Why you should set up your own exchange rate. Why the rate changes? What is a L$ worth? What is the value? Inflation in SL? Make profit with reading the statistic pages. How to save money with limited orders? Why speculation dont works. How to use the Webpages to make your orders.
All infos could be found at the knowledge base or somewhere else. But they are hidden, not complete and abstruse. The most users never heard about that subject. So I make an easy walk in the world of Lindendollars with alot fun and with the knowledge I found, my own know-how as Sim-owner in SL and as economist in RL. |

Description: | Many uses of SL involve textual content for teaching, presenting, showing information. XyText is a genial way for showing textual content without many prims and without uploading textures. Focus of the class is teaching how the basic elements of this invention work and how to glue them together. Some knowledge of building (aligning, texturing) and of scripting is required, but even no-scripter and no-builders can have a glimpse of how this is working :) |
