[12:58] Kate Linden: Hello Zai, Ricken, Arawn
[12:58] Arawn Spitteler: Hi, Kate, Zai. Is people almost here?
[12:59] Jeremy Linden: Hi all.
[12:59] Jeremy Linden: Long time, no see, Ricken!
[12:59] Kate Linden: How is everyone this week?
[12:59] Torley Linden: FRIENDLY GREETINGS!
[13:00] Arawn Spitteler: Hi, Jeremy. It must be sparse because Torley hasn't twittered yet.
[13:00] Arawn Spitteler has pinged you.
[13:00] Arawn Spitteler: Hi, Torley.
[13:00] Kate Linden: I think some Residents are on their way to SLCC today also.
[13:00] Arawn Spitteler: Oh, so today, you can focus on us poor people.
[13:01] Ricken Flow: yay poor people rock
[13:01] Ricken Flow: esp poor college students
[13:01] Arawn Spitteler: On the intyernet, nobody can tell if you're a Jackal for real, but in SL, we can't tell an Egyptian Jackal from an Aussie Dingo, without a language disclosure.
[13:02] Youri Ashton: hello all!
[13:02] Torley Linden: Zai, I see your little floaty pet... Eric! What made you decide to name him that? :)
[13:02] Arawn Spitteler: How do I find an SL tech savvy person in walking distance of Peterborough Cathedral?
[13:02] Zai Lynch: It#s the name of my brother. uhm... would have been. was... something like that *urgs*
[13:02] Arawn Spitteler: Hi, Jonello
[13:02] Zai Lynch: ^^;
[13:03] Youri Ashton: oh, the g-team cleaned the griefer prims i see
[13:03] ellow mr torley :-)
[13:03] Youri Ashton: few hours ago there were a few prims here that were flooding the sim with textures
[13:03] Daniel Voyager: hello everyone
[13:03] Jeremy Linden: Ack!
[13:03] Jeremy Linden: Hello Daniel.
[13:04] Zai Lynch: ellow =)
[13:04] Youri Ashton: you had to get in close to see them tho
[13:04] Youri Ashton: within 10 meters or so
[13:05] Torley Linden: Welcome everyone to our office hours!
[13:05] Arawn Spitteler: Minds me of the naked man, who was taking a shower in public. Police couldn't see him, until some old lady lent her binoculars.
[13:05] Torley Linden: Ahhh I see Zai. :) Hehe.
[13:05] Ricken Flow: hello everyone
[13:05] Youri Ashton: :)
[13:05] Torley Linden: Youri, and also, awhile ago, the G-Team was absorbed into the RESI Team which focuses on the inworld experience. So much to keep up with!
[13:05] Arawn Spitteler: Hey,m Marianne
[13:06] Torley Linden: We've had a series of blog posts explaining various support teams... in case you haven't seen the last feature on Tescalation...
[13:06] Marianne McCann: Hiya
[13:06] Arawn Spitteler: Will the G-Team have office hours again?
[13:06] Asterion Coen: hello :)
[13:06] Ricken Flow: I have a knowledge base article that needs updating
[13:06] Daniel Voyager: Hey Marianne
[13:06] Zai Lynch: hi marianne :-)
[13:06] Torley Linden: https://blogs.secondlife.com/community/community/support/blog/2009/08/06/tescalation-life
[13:06] Torley Linden: Ricken, please do share details!
[13:06] Youri Ashton: oh, didnt know that torley! I actually didnt pay attention to SL or a few weeks, was taking a holiday so to say
[13:07] Ricken Flow: https://support.secondlife.com/ics/support/default.asp?deptID=4417&task=knowledge&questionID=4722
[13:07] Asterion Coen: youri have holiday ? no way
[13:07] Ricken Flow: its about finding the avatar UUID
[13:07] Youri Ashton: lol
[13:07] Youri Ashton: even I could use a holiday aster ;)
[13:07] Asterion Coen: no u cant, even in dream
[13:08] Youri Ashton: lol
[13:08] Asterion Coen: (waiting av and stuffs rezz b4 sitting)
[13:08] Torley Linden: OK Ricken... go on please... ? :)
[13:08] Marianne McCann: I had to do that too, Asterion
[13:08] Youri Ashton: i was playing guildwars for a while again and doing other things :)
[13:09] Ricken Flow: it is no longer valid when they updated search a while back i assume they took out the displaying of uuid in search
[13:09] Youri Ashton: was planning on 3 weeks, but it seems people were needing me already after 1 week, so kinda picking up slowly again
[13:09] Arawn Spitteler: When did they ever do that?
[13:10] Youri Ashton: anyways, lets not take over the meeting, its the doc team meeting, not the youri ashton meeting afterall :p
[13:10] Youri Ashton: haha
[13:10] Torley Linden: Ricken, the UUID is still shown in the "Link to this page" but it's not clear what you're referring to within the article that needs changing?
[13:12] Torley Linden: Lotta peeps dropping in all of a sudden! Welcome, welcome!
[13:12] Ricken Flow: hmmm nevermind it does show maybe it was just a glitch that day
[13:12] Riven Homewood: Sorry Jeremy
[13:12] Riven Homewood has pinged you.
[13:12] Patty1 Rosca: hi Aster
[13:12] Jeremy Linden: No worries!
[13:12] Youri Ashton: noticed the same thing torley! great having more people here!
[13:12] Asterion Coen: hey patty :)
[13:12] Kate Linden: Welcome to the Doc Team office hour.
[13:12] Youri Ashton: kate and jon are very silent today i noticed :p
[13:12] Arawn Spitteler thinks: It's mostly Torley's Tweet
[13:12] Asterion Coen: (i oticed all r very silentious today) :)
[13:13] Jeremy Linden: !
[13:13] Marianne McCann is also pretty silent today
[13:13] Kate Linden: Quietly looking at the KB article Ricken mentioned :)
[13:13] Jeremy Linden pokes the Jello.
[13:13] Jon Linden: just waiting for a good moment to jump in
[13:13] Torley Linden: Version 3 of my WindLight settings should be out in 2-3 weeks or so. For anyone curious.
[13:13] Youri Ashton: :)
[13:13] Youri Ashton: any time is a good time jon! :)
[13:13] Marianne McCann: cool
[13:13] Torley Linden: (Version 2 is @ http://bit.ly/windlight )
[13:13] Yann Dufaux: heya ㋡
[13:13] Daniel Voyager: fhats great Torley :) yay
[13:13] Kate Linden: Greetings from SF! Doc Team will be giving a workshop tomorrow at SLCC. Will we get to meet any of you there?
[13:13] Torley Linden: I listen to a diverse array of music and that's inspiring to channel atmospheres. Some other Lindens have been using the settings to make photos for the forthcoming website redesign...
[13:14] Youri Ashton: oh, cool, version 2 of your windlight pack i presume?
[13:14] Marianne McCann: I'll be there, Kate. I'm also workin' the convention
[13:14] Kate Linden: Torley will be joining us from inworld during our workshop.
[13:14] Kate Linden: Fantastic Marianne!
[13:14] Torley Linden: Thanks for all your pictures featuring them, Daniel! http://www.flickr.com/photos/danielvoyager/3046771446/
[13:14] Torley Linden: Yes Youri, that's right.
[13:15] Marianne McCann: I use a few of yours pretty often, Torley, but lately I've been loving Mescaline Tammas'
[13:15] Youri Ashton: cool!
[13:15] Torley Linden: Yes, I'm pleased when I see Resis share their WL packs, Mescaline has some very nice sepia and moody tones.
[13:15] Youri Ashton: I didnt get to it yet to make more myself, but I will create more and release them freely for everyone
[13:15] Yann Dufaux: Torley winlight v2 ?!? :D
[13:15] Arawn Spitteler notices http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Mixed_Reality hassn't been wikified
[13:15] Erinyse Planer: i wish i could have come to the slcc sorry kate
[13:15] Ricken Flow: I wasnt able to acquire funds to go to SLCC but i will be in some panels from in-world
[13:15] Torley Linden: They appeared to work quite effectively in an Eternal WindLight video I saw!
[13:15] Youri Ashton: ill give a link as soon as it's completed :)
[13:16] Kate Linden: oh nice Ricken. Which panels?
[13:16] Torley Linden: Yann, alas, just my settings, not a major upgrade to WindLight itself.
[13:16] Marianne McCann: Torley - I've founs some of mescalines to be some of the most realistic skies out there. ShadowSwt, with a dash more blue, really makes for a real-world image
[13:16] Riven Homewood: Is any of SLCC being broadcast inworld?
[13:16] Marianne McCann: ShadowSet*
[13:16] Yann Dufaux: interesting ㋡
[13:16] Ricken Flow: most of it is being broadcast in-world
[13:16] Zai Lynch: I wasn't quite sure about it yet @Mixed reality. Will have a look again after the meeting
[13:16] Torley Linden: Mari, yeah, they looked really nice in various machinima... and that's always a pleasure, seeing them extended to other creations. Actually applied and captured on film. :)
[13:16] Ricken Flow: from what i have heard
[13:17] Youri Ashton: i can however not use OpenGL for a while, since the graphical drivers keep getting messed up if I startup SL with that
[13:17] Yann Dufaux: i need to install, and restart i think ㋡
[13:17] Marianne McCann: Now if only I could use shadows...
[13:17] Riven Homewood: Do you have a link to info, Ricken?
[13:17] Torley Linden: For anyone who wants Mescaline's... http://www.flickr.com/photos/mescalinetammas/3513305333/ :D
[13:17] Asterion Coen: if u want some nice videos about your winlight machinima, i got some nice builds if u want :)
[13:17] Youri Ashton: blue screens, crashing during the game, really weird things visible...
[13:17] Jon Linden: what's the "Lyre of Ur" project that wiki page says it was created for?
[13:17] Ricken Flow: friday i am on the NPC lessons learned and success stories
[13:18] Torley Linden: Asterion, SLURLs/landmarks are most recently welcome.
[13:18] Ricken Flow: saturday health support group best pratices and how to start a nonprofit and bring it into SL
[13:18] Torley Linden: Please ask questions out in the open, I apologize I can't get to IMs right now... or usually, infact.
[13:18] Arawn Spitteler: http://lyre-of-ur.com The guy should hve a presence, in world, but is afraid of what Internet on Uppers will do to his available time.
[13:18] Kate Linden: Ricken, I'll try to get to those tracks :)
[13:18] Yann Dufaux: and sorry for the little disturb ㋡
[13:18] Yann Dufaux: hehe ㋡
[13:18] Asterion Coen: http://www.flickr.com/photos/25439905@N08/
[13:18] Ricken Flow: Pathfinder will be in the health support group as well
[13:18] waelya Tenk: hola!
[13:19] Marianne McCann: Hey Waelya!
[13:19] waelya Tenk: Mari! : ))
[13:19] Marianne McCann grins
[13:19] Ricken Flow: its going to be busy weekend netroot nation is also the same weekend
[13:19] Asterion Coen: about slurl, well the sim name of my mine workshop is Second Earth 3 (in the scilands)
[13:19] Kate Linden: Ricken: yes, I am looking forward to the health and education tracks with Path.
[13:19] Yann Dufaux: Torley this work on snoglobe too? ㋡
[13:19] Asterion Coen: mine= main
[13:19] Torley Linden: Yann, does what work?
[13:19] Asterion Coen: hey yann :)
[13:20] Yann Dufaux: i need to restart i think ㋡
[13:20] Yann Dufaux: yep restsart ㋡
[13:20] Yann Dufaux: moment ㋡
[13:21] Youri Ashton: think i have a good question: currently the group tags are limited to not many letters euhm.. (kinda still in holiday mode here) anyways, it might be good to make the group tags (tags like owner, officer, etc) a little longer, if only with 5 letters
[13:21] Torley Linden: Youri, what's an example of a long group tag that can't be done right now?
[13:22] Youri Ashton: ugh... dont crash on me now pc.... :o
[13:22] Youri Ashton: well, for example, use my group tag now
[13:22] Youri Ashton: BRP Owner
[13:22] Asterion Coen: about group, a bigger number of groups couls be usefull too :)
[13:22] Asterion Coen: +d
[13:22] Torley Linden: Asterion, yes, long story on that... http://jira.secondlife.com has many details. :)
[13:22] Marianne McCann: I suspect my current group tag would have some spaces if it could
[13:22] Yann Dufaux: ohhh nice i see tor setting ㋡
[13:23] Asterion Coen: i prefere the facts to the stories :)
[13:23] Yann Dufaux: geez !!
[13:23] Youri Ashton: if i wanted to fill in a little more with, lets say the 'brp scripter/builder' tag, it just allows 1 more sign, so its kinda short
[13:23] Yann Dufaux: crap sofa! ㋡
[13:23] Asterion Coen: wb yann :)
[13:23] Youri Ashton: thought it would be nice to add a little more in there
[13:23] Patty1 Rosca: wow
[13:23] Youri Ashton: afterall, that part didnt really change yet
[13:24] Torley Linden: I wonder what % of Residents actually have group tags visible.
[13:24] Riven Homewood: What is the character limit on group tags now?
[13:24] Youri Ashton: i usually have, and a lot more i have noticed
[13:24] Yann Dufaux: thank you very mutch torley, i think this can do a great expreariance with the space navigator lol ㋡
[13:24] Arawn Spitteler: I suppose that should be on the limits page'
[13:24] Jeremy Linden: Hmmm... I don't know offhand, but I know how to test!
[13:24] Youri Ashton: only a selected few dont like to do this in public areas it seems
[13:24] Marianne McCann: Torley - it seems like a sizable number. I usually have one on because of the need to wear it while building
[13:24] s keyboard is numb and clumsy
[13:24] Youri Ashton: scared that they would be harrased for it i hear from some
[13:24] Riven Homewood: Mine is 17 characters - that's the basic tag member for our group
[13:25] Torley Linden: Yeah, it should totally be on the limits page!
[13:25] waelya Tenk: i received spacenavigator today, i will wait to weekend to use it! so excited i am with it!
[13:25] Torley Linden: OH YAY WAELYA... I hope you do wonderful things with it.
[13:25] Torley Linden: *awaits what Jeremy finds out*
[13:25] Torley Linden has pinged you.
[13:25] Marianne McCann: I so wish there was an "allowed" list for building on a residents land, rather than it having to be handled via group tags
[13:25] Erinyse Planer: most residents i know keep group tags visible
[13:25] Kate Linden: I love the space nav, especially for giving tours inworld
[13:26] Asterion Coen: marianne yes :)
[13:26] Youri Ashton: there is a resident allow for land
[13:26] d lke allowed groups and disallowed nations, for building and scripting on parcels
[13:26] Marianne McCann: I've never used it Kate (too spendy for me atm), but I've always heard good things
[13:26] Jeremy Linden: I'm finding that 20 characters is possible...
[13:26] Youri Ashton: however, i agree that this is often not very handy to use
[13:26] Torley Linden: Permissions is a tricky thing — the current split between parcel permissions and region/estate permissions is understandably confusing.
[13:26] Kate Linden: waela let us know how you like using the space nav in SL.
[13:26] Riven Homewood: That would be a really long list, Arawan
[13:26] Arawn Spitteler: If we ould list allwed builders, merchants wouldn't need so many alts
[13:26] Asterion Coen: how many time i tryed to duplicate a part of a build in a sim, forgetting to put the specific tag, moving the part instead of duplicate it
[13:26] Marianne McCann: 's true, Arawn. And I could drump half my groups
[13:26] waelya Tenk: ok i will do... i want rty to make machinimas.. i hear good to use with it
[13:27] Torley Linden: Permissions need to allow enough granularity for flexibility, yet be easy-to-understand. It's difficult.
[13:27] Marianne McCann: dump*
[13:27] Arawn Spitteler: What'sGranularity?
[13:27] Riven Homewood: Oh sorry, misunderstood what you meant Arawn
[13:27] Arawn Spitteler wonders if Granularity is on the Wiki
[13:27] Youri Ashton: as builder, i agree on that. I dont need multiple avi's for building, i do need one to get away from it, like most Linden's would have no doubt
[13:27] Kate Linden: Marianne, it takes a little getting used to, since its a little sensitive, and turns opposite than expected, but once it's worth mastering.
[13:27] Erinyse Planer: honestly in permissions stuff SL is starting to fall behind some of the 3rd party grids
[13:28] Kate Linden: *but worth mastering
[13:28] Marianne McCann nods
[13:28] Erinyse Planer wishes she could afford space navigator
[13:28] Marianne McCann: I'm sure I'll see a few of em at the Westin
[13:28] Arawn Spitteler: Permissions might be an area uncomfortable for theLinden Labs mindset. I think I rememer a remedy for that
[13:29] Kate Linden: yes, especially in Pathfinders track. He loves the space nav too.
[13:30] Youri Ashton: not many people with questions i guess
[13:30] waelya Tenk: i not know if this is good place to say it.. but i want say "congrats" about works done by LDPW... nice places i saw.. just i want say maybe cool if in all of them can rezz stuff at least by 5 minutes...
[13:30] waelya Tenk: sorry my english..
[13:30] Arawn Spitteler: Oh, Michael's Hour at 3PM would be even better
[13:30] Riven Homewood: It's always nice to hear people praise good work :)
[13:31] Youri Ashton: your english looks okay to me waelya, i dont really see problems in it ;)
[13:31] Asterion Coen: waelya, u could tdirectly tell them then, they got a meeting avery wednesday :)
[13:31] waelya Tenk: today 3pm?
[13:31] Marianne McCann: Yes, Warlya - 3pm SLT in Shamon.
[13:31] waelya Tenk: ok cool
[13:31] Marianne McCann: Ya, they do good works. I wish they had more of their stuff on the wiki.
[13:31] Arawn Spitteler: 3PM in Shamon.
[13:31] Torley Linden: "SLT" is deprecated, we go by "Pacific Time" or "PT" now. =)
[13:31] waelya Tenk: is nice nice works...
[13:31] Erinyse Planer: waelya your english is alright. I understood easily enough
[13:31] Marianne McCann: their list is good, but could be better I think
[13:31] waelya Tenk: and do better second life
[13:31] Marianne McCann: I'm depreciated too, Torley, so it all goes hand in hand
[13:31] Marianne McCann grins
[13:31] Youri Ashton: much better torley, then we all know atleast for what it stands ;)
[13:31] Torley Linden: Hahaha.
[13:32] Youri Ashton: easier to change it into GMT for example :)
[13:32] Arawn Spitteler: Anyhow, I think the Mixed Reality Page might be open to better precision
[13:32] Youri Ashton: with SLT it was a guessing game ;)
[13:32] Asterion Coen: the only issue with the SLPW is the restricted team (as they only can hire from 6 usa states and 2 other countries). impossible to know why excatly :)
[13:32] Asterion Coen: some finantial reason i guess
[13:32] Torley Linden: It was an interesting discussion when we made that protocol change. I remember the arguments, "Second Life itself... doesn't have a single time zone..." "Shouldn't it be Linden Lab time?" "Well, we're getting more offices around the world."
[13:32] Ricken Flow: ooh I have a question LL is starting the business oriented working world islands, website etc. is their going to be a knowledge base or wiki set up geared towards enterprise to go with it
[13:33] Arawn Spitteler shoud aplyfrom his broter's address
[13:33] waelya Tenk: spain here.. so hard to keep more later of 4 pm slt...
[13:33] Riven Homewood: I always liked the concept of SLT :)
[13:33] Arawn Spitteler: Numb Keyboard
[13:33] Marianne McCann: Asterion - I might have another group or two with them, but that restriction is a baffling one, ya
[13:33] Marianne McCann: Me Too, Riven.
[13:33] Youri Ashton: I sure hope the Netherlands will get a office as well Torley, would love to work with LL :)
[13:33] Arawn Spitteler: We should go or Geographic Time. What tme of day do people tend to log on?
[13:34] Erinyse Planer: LL should drop an office in the carolinas
[13:34] Torley Linden: We do have some Dutch Lindens, or Lindens living in the Netherlands.
[13:34] xstorm Radek: no no
[13:34] Asterion Coen: i sometime build for some lindens, i dont see why i couldnt build for a linden land in mainlands :)
[13:34] Jon Linden: ricken, that's an interesting question -- the guess i'm going to make is that enterprises will probably develop their own independent help resources
[13:34] Yann Dufaux: get a devlopement in Canada before :P
[13:34] Yann Dufaux: loll
[13:34] Youri Ashton: i know that there are at least 2
[13:34] Youri Ashton: data for example
[13:34] xstorm Radek: drop a office in Hartford CT
[13:35] Jeremy Linden: Hartfort is only a couple hours from Boston :-)
[13:35] Youri Ashton: however, so far I been rejected just because the payment couldnt work.... or thats atleast the story i received....
[13:35] Jeremy Linden: er, Hartford :-P
[13:35] Arawn Spitteler: Are you in connecticut, Xstorm? I'm in Bridgeport
[13:35] Jon Linden: everybody speculating about why Linden Lab has offices in some locations, but not others: i'm not a financial officer, but I believe the limitations are imposed by local tax regulations of one sort or another
[13:35] Torley Linden: We do hire remotely depending on need, however. Always check http://lindenlab.com/employment
[13:35] xstorm Radek: im in CT yes'
[13:35] Asterion Coen: jon for sure
[13:35] Jon Linden: tax regulations or employment laws; it's out of our hands
[13:35] Torley Linden: "Max. Group Name and Title - 20 single-byte characters " added to https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Limits
[13:35] Asterion Coen: jon, but the l$ can escape that rule
[13:36] Torley Linden: Aye, despite our virtual world freedoms, we need to work with real-world laws.
[13:36] Jeremy Linden: Nice, Torley.
[13:36] Torley Linden: Thanks for testing that, Jeremy!
[13:36] Torley Linden has pinged you.
[13:36] waelya Tenk: how many hours work a Linden? must be hard to say...
[13:36] Riven Homewood: Thanks, Torley :)
[13:36] Jon Linden: Linden Lab is not about to try to circumvent laws, Asterion
[13:36] Youri Ashton: strange american laws more torley :p
[13:36] Erinyse Planer: asterion... dont count on L$ circumventing tax laws
[13:36] Erinyse Planer: theres some places that tax virtual currancies now
[13:36] Jeremy Linden: Being a Linden inworld is only a very small part of what most Lindens do. The rest of the time, we work relatively normal jobs at a company that makes an awesome software product.
[13:36] Asterion Coen: well, ok, in admetting it can be restrictions about simple user, what about is the builder is a company
[13:37] Asterion Coen: then no worry about the fiscality modalities
[13:37] Asterion Coen: the company pay taxes
[13:37] Arawn Spitteler: I don't think Gambling Chips count as income un til cashed i.
[13:37] Torley Linden: waelya, depends. 40-hr. workweek is standard employment for a fulltime position but sometimes staying later is needed to get projects done.
[13:37] Shockwave Plasma: tax can be tricky to figure out, you just have to remember the sudden VAT chares for EU residents
[13:37] waelya Tenk: yes undersatnd
[13:37] Torley Linden: However, we stay away from unhealthy "crunching"... that leads to misery.
[13:38] Jon Linden: i feel like i should insert a further disclaimer that none of us here work for Linden Lab HR, either
[13:38] Yann Dufaux: Torley in frnehc customer specialiste, is an 40 hours per week? ㋡
[13:38] waelya Tenk: hehe
[13:38] Erinyse Planer giggles "thats why carolinas would be a good spot. most days if you have to stay late you could walk out of the office buildings and onto the beach and still get your wifi :P
[13:38] Youri Ashton: SL seems to be globally accepted, so why not have only the rules we really need. LL is going crasy with just american rules since the american citizen is so quickly hurt by even the slightest thing. I think it might be very wise to make a big change in this
[13:38] Yann Dufaux: french*
[13:38] Torley Linden: I'm not sure what standard French or other European hours are. But surely that info must be on the... Internet! :D
[13:38] Torley Linden: Different countries have different labor laws.
[13:38] Yann Dufaux: not european, i,m from quebec ㋡
[13:39] waelya Tenk: same here Torley... 40 hours week stander
[13:39] Asterion Coen: (in france that's 35 hours/week payed 38)
[13:39] JoyD Turbo: Hi all
[13:39] JoyD Turbo: sorry for not turning up so early
[13:39] JoyD Turbo: (Oliver Szondi here)
[13:39] d sggest Holland, where the Duck is equired to enjoy the adventure
[13:39] Youri Ashton: dont get me wrong tho, i just dont see the use of many of the rules since here in europe we dont even have anything simular, just because we dont need them :)
[13:39] Shockwave Plasma: 38 un the UK, abut 35 in France
[13:39] Torley Linden: Ahhh. I seem to recall (when I lived in Canada) that Quebec doesn't allow certain types of contests, either. ;)
[13:39] xstorm Radek: well i need a job and Linden Lab will be perfect
[13:40] Erinyse Planer: european coutnries have their own rules we dont have too youri. *Srhugs*
[13:40] Torley Linden: Law is often a tough thing because many people expect blanket answers but, they seldom ever exist. "Rules & regulations dependent on your local jurisdiction apply." And all that stuff.
[13:40] Yann Dufaux: Torley; you know the Canada!! great! ㋡
[13:40] Kate Linden: Our jobs are listed on our website xstorm
[13:40] Youri Ashton: the dutch are sober people arawn, so we dont really see the use in all those rules, specially since we never actually start suing eachother for just a small thing ;)
[13:40] Yann Dufaux: Torley, if i need to move i get my passport and i wait for other contact of human ressource ㋡
[13:40] xstorm Radek: but do to my health i must stay at home
[13:40] Torley Linden: http://lindenlab.com/employment
[13:41] Ricken Flow: I apply about every two months or so
[13:41] Shockwave Plasma: currently the Dutch are watching their riot police beat up english soccor fans
[13:41] Ricken Flow: one day i will be hired
[13:41] Ricken Flow: lol
[13:41] xstorm Radek: so i have yet to see a job that i can fit in to do to my health
[13:41] Zai Lynch: ^^
[13:41] Torley Linden: We're still looking for a Community Communications Manager to help with the blog and beyond.
[13:41] Erinyse Planer: if i ever was allowed to wrok for LL, I want to be security
[13:41] Yann Dufaux: Torley@ i have send my resume since march, and i get the first awnser since 3 week ㋡
[13:41] Youri Ashton: i cant even apply since i aint even in any of the allowed 'zones', so its pretty useless to do so
[13:41] Torley Linden: Oh I'm glad to hear that, Yann!
[13:41] Arawn Spitteler woners if English Soccer Fans pay extra to bleed on Dutch Cops; those guys even pay to see English Soccer.
[13:41] Ricken Flow: yes i was going to apply but still being a communications student doesnt help much
[13:41] Torley Linden: But Youri, "Linden also offers qualified candidates the possibility to Work from Home in other select locations. Certain positions are location specific and will be noted in the posting as such."
[13:41] Asterion Coen: hehe LL employment office hour :)

[13:42] Youri Ashton: Michael Linden even started shouting at me once because i asked about it during one of his meetings
[13:42] Yann Dufaux: Torley@ due to my location i have a little trouble, but for me is not a trouble ㋡
[13:42] Jon Linden: i'm really leery of making even vague assurances that we can't back up 100%
[13:42] Shockwave Plasma: I applied on some linden website about a year ago, and it was just awfullly designed
[13:42] Yann Dufaux: i want this jobs and i dio all step to get this jobs ㋡
[13:42] Erinyse Planer: plus if LL hires you you can always get a work visa to move to one of the countries they have offices in
[13:43] Ricken Flow: Char Linden had a hr office hour not sure if she still does
[13:43] Torley Linden: Hm Shockwave, I wonder which one that was. Sometimes we've posted on external hire sites and I think we may've done Craigslist too, on occasion.
[13:43] Marianne McCann: I don't thin it's been active in a year, Riken
[13:43] waelya Tenk: btw... is there a page web where can find all movements possible to do in avatar in second life?

[13:44] Jon Linden: i think what waelya is asking for is a guide to moving her avatar around inworld
[13:44] xstorm Radek: there are still many bugs in SL i have seen sims go out of timing
[13:44] waelya Tenk: yes!
[13:44] waelya Tenk: thx Jon
[13:44] waelya Tenk: : ) sorry

[13:57] Youri Ashton: I was thinking of adding topics like that anyways, so sure would be a good addition to have that as well!
[13:57] Torley Linden: Oliver, not planned at this time; it's likely going to be more like Facebook than MySpace in terms of colorization and theming. But, that is tentative. We'll see. If you know Greasemonkey you can also apply page changes locally.
