I've done translating the pages you requested. I'll be keep translating pages into Korean but I still don't know much about the wiki syntax. Can you please review my pages and check if they have any errors? ([[User:Teresia Renfold|Teresia Renfold]] 01:04, 17 December 2008 (UTC))

:I made a minor fix at [https://wiki.secondlife.com/w/index.php?title=%EB%A9%98%ED%84%B0_%EB%B2%88%EC%97%AD%EA%B0%80/LSL_%EB%AA%A9%EC%B0%A8_L10n&curid=34963&diff=177483&oldid=177433 멘터 번역가/LSL 목차 L10n] in order to make the template recognize the right base page and to [https://wiki.secondlife.com/w/index.php?title=Project%3ALanguages%2Fko&diff=176873&oldid=176603 Project:Languages/ko] to fix the version. The rest looked perfect! I also took part in writing a [[Quickie Wiki Intro]] and made a [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EOHgnwaONVg video tutorial] about translations in the Wiki, so that might help you when you're stuck somewhere. In case you got any questions or problems, always feel free to ask here =) Or write it in the edit summary and I'll have a look at it. Thanks again for the great and incredibly fast help!

OMG you are brilliant. I hadn't thought of exploiting the late execution of template parameters so that you could insert values into the center via variables. Logical next step... a bunch of templates already do this sort of thing... but still brilliant. -- '''[[User:Strife_Onizuka|Strife]]''' <small>([[User talk:Strife_Onizuka|talk]]|[[Special:Contributions/Strife_Onizuka|contribs]])</small> 08:11, 19 December 2008 (UTC)

== Issues with your changes on [[Bug triage]] and [[Template:Triage_Template]] ==
Hi, first of all thanks for adding the templating system since as the person who most of the time seems to volunteer to deal with the week to week work for the Monday bug triage I'm happy for anything that will make things easier but it seems like there is an issue with how the new data is being spaced when filled out and copied over to the bug triage page. Not sure if anyone will fix it or whatever before you see it but my changes were to [[Bug_triage]] and [[Bug_triage/2008-12-29]], on the bug triage page I just changed the last triage date to today's and then on the 12/29 page (for next week's meeting) I filled in the information I think correctly. If I did this wrong please let me know how to do it correctly. [[User:Gordon_Wendt|<font color="green">''GW''</font>]] <small>([[User talk:Gordon_Wendt|<Font color="red">T</font>]]|[[Special:Contributions/Gordon Wendt|<font color="blue">C</font>]])</small> -- 21:18, 22 December 2008 (UTC)
:Heyas & THX for the feedback! =)
:I'm not quite sure why the formatting was broken, but a [https://wiki.secondlife.com/w/index.php?title=Bug_triage&diff=183133&oldid=183063 minor tweak] fixed it. I guess it should work fine from now on. I also thought about how to add an implementation that automatically adds the date of the last triage. I'll keep you posted on this since I think it wouldn't be to hard to do.
:Oh btw: can you have a look at [[Talk:Bug triage#chapter vs. category]]?

::Last triage should work now too =)
::I assumed that it's weekly and in case the monday (or wednesday) is a holiday, that it's postponed by (exactly) one week. It checks if a page is available for the agenda of the date one week before. In case there's none, then it sets the date to two weeks before. I can't use a loop ({{Jira|WEB-343}}) to do it multiple times so I thought 2 holidays in a row might be unlikely and can be edited by hand. Same with meetings that aren't postponed by a whole week but just for a few days. I think this covers most cases though :-) Keep in mind that it's cached and might need a [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dummy_edit#Null_edit null edit] to display the latest links.

== another issue (with lasttriage this time) ==
Sorry to bug you again right after the new year but it looks like something else has broken on your bug triage changes, this time with your attempts to automate the last triage date which I for the life of me can't even see where it's defined not to mention where to fix it or I would have done so myself. Happy new year btw. :Heyas Gordon! =)
:NP. The reason why the automatted linking displayed a red link is, that you set the next triage date to January 5th 2008. But we got 2009 now. Happy new year ^_^

== slurl template idea ==
Zai, you may be interested in a little work I've been doing on a new slurl template. I have a test version up at [[User:Gordon_Wendt/sandbox]] which should work but is a bit crude and for some reason refuses to pass the third variable (the Z coord in the slurl) but it has an easy slurl link as well as a direct secondlife:// link (the d to the right of the address) if you want to play around with it. If you have any improvements on it (or can figure out how to get it to pass that variable correctly) feel free to edit it yourself as you would any other template... I only am keeping it in my space for now since I don't think it's ready for primetime at [[Template:Slurl]] or similar. [[User:Gordon_Wendt|<font color="green">''GW''</font>]] <small>([[User talk:Gordon_Wendt|<Font color="red">T</font>]]|[[Special:Contributions/Gordon Wendt|<font color="blue">C</font>]])</small> -- 09:20, 4 January 2009 (UTC)
:Heyas Gordon!<br> | |||
:I guess the reason why it doesn't like the last variable is that it needs a <nowiki>{{{4}}}</nowiki> for that. so 1 is the region, 2 is x, 3 y, 4 z. I think it's also needed to use the [http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:StringFunctions#.23urlencode:_and_.23urldecode: string function <nowiki>{{#urlencode:value}}</nowiki>] for <nowiki>{{{1}}}</nowiki>, in case the name of the region contains a space. I added both. Though I also want to point out that [[User:SignpostMarv Martin|Marv]] once wrote [[Template:SLurl]] to create SLURLs and that I recently added [[Template:SLURL2]] to autoformat already existing SLURLs. I think we could add the direct linking to either or both.
:[[Image:Zai_signature.png|45px]] '''[[User:Zai Lynch|Lynch]]''' <small>([[User talk:Zai Lynch|talk]]|[[Special:Contributions/Zai Lynch|contribs]])</small> 09:30, 4 January 2009 (UTC)
::Thanks for making those changes, I didn't even think of the fact that regions with spacing could be an issue but good catch. The Slurl and Slurl2 templates have their purposes and adding a direct link to those would work well I think and be backwards compatible. The first one has the limitation of course that it requires table style formatting for varibles where you have to identify each variable in the piped section for it (i.e. |x=) as well which makes it very unfriendly for just off-hand templating. The second one is great for it's purpose but that isn't so much for building slurls but for showing already formed slurls so my hope is for a [[Template:Slurl3]] or something like that. [[User:Gordon_Wendt|<font color="green">''GW''</font>]] <small>([[User talk:Gordon_Wendt|<Font color="red">T</font>]]|[[Special:Contributions/Gordon Wendt|<font color="blue">C</font>]])</small> -- 04:37, 5 January 2009 (UTC)
:::Yuss, the explicit variables definition seemed a lil unhandy for me too and it was a complained raised at the [[Template_talk:SLurl|related talkpage]] <small>(Btw: It doesn't ''have'' to be table like. It can also be used inline. The table style is just for easier recognizability in the example setup.)</small>. Marv appearently took this as a hint to create [[Template:SLurl/simple]] which works without explicit definition of variables. However, it's still unhandy from my point of view to have a variety of templates for this. So I took your syntax as a starting point for [https://wiki.secondlife.com/w/index.php?title=Template%3ASLurl&diff=191703&oldid=57898 some changes in Template:SLurl] which should increase the usability while it still remains backwards compatible. {{noWrap|<nowiki>{{SLurl|Help Island Public}}</nowiki>}} for example will now result in {{SLurl|Help Island Public}}. Also made a redirect from [[Template:Slurl]] and [[Template:SLURL]] so that the CamelCase is no source of error anymore.
:::Can of course create Slurl3 nevertheless with plain link and direct TP link features. I think what the Wiki will need in the long run is some kind of ''Editors Toolbox'' page where useful templates are listed and got a short description (like done in the [[LSL Editing Primer]] but for templates which aren't LSL specific). Will try to think about some and add them too [[User:Zai Lynch/Sandbox/Editors Toolbox|a sandboxed page]] until it grew to an article. Feel free to add anything useful.

:::Although it looks kinda stupid to reply over and over to my own comment... -> Adding direct teleport links doesn't seem to be a benefit since direct linking from external pages seems to fail by design. See [https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/WEB-437?focusedCommentId=55013&page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels%3Acomment-tabpanel#action_55013 Harleen Gretzkys comment on WEB-437].

:::::Using that method yes it did fail because it was considered (incorrectly in my opinion) a security glitch but the direct link using secondlife:// acts just the same as going to the slurl site I believe but it saves you a step which makes it a lot easier both when you're not using sl and when you're already in sl. Hai Zai! (Does that rhyme?) I've been doing work lately that keeps getting conglomerated under "Second Life Culture". The "flavor" that isn't strictly how-to guides or other hard info. I started http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Category:Culture and would welcome your page additions and insights to better organization as-needed. Do you have anything in mind? Please add! <font color="#ff0080">'''- [[Image:Torley-favicon.png]] [[User:Torley Linden|Torley]] on 2009-02-02 @ 9:10 AM PST'''</font>
:Hey there :-) | |||
:I addded the [[Hippo]], [[Linden Bear]] (of course!!), [[Linden Village]], [[Nautilus City investigation]], [[Rez]] (not sure if it should be kept in the cat...) articles, as well as the userpage of [[User:Magellan Linden|Magellan Linden]]. I'd also like to add [[Second Life Birthday]], but - for no obvious reason - this article is protected. Maybe you can add the category and/or unprotect the article.
:Articles where I'm not sure if they should belong to the category:
:* [[The Big Six]] - when you added [[SLetiquette]], the big six might count as well
:* [[Uberexplorer]] - a term made up by you? I'm not sure if it's used by others
:* [[Town Hall]] - is currently just a stub...
:* [[Tao of Linden]] - The article is protected and I'm not sure if it belongs to culture... Maybe it does, when ''The Big Six'' belong to culture too. Sidenote: I had a [[User_talk:Phoenix_Linden|discussion about it with Phoenix]]. I think the article should be unprotected although it's a Linden policy. Why? The uneditable (protected) version of the tao(policy) is stored at http://lindenlab.com/about/tao. The Wiki article should contain additional information ''about'' the Tao, like [http://blog.secondlife.com/2006/07/25/the-tao-of-linden/ history] or additional links to [[Linden]], [[Linden Lab]], as well as a [[Template:Help|Help Header]] with a [[:Category:Glossary|Glossary category]].
:Sidenote about wiki syntax: You can create internal links to categories when you place a collon in as first character after the brackets. Like <nowiki>[[</nowiki>''':'''Category:Glossary]].
:As for better organisation: I made the category a subcategory of [[:Category:Help/Community]]. I hope that fits somehow =)

== Edits on in-progress pages ==
Thanks very much for your help with [[Template:Navbox|the template]] I am working on. I see your changes make sense, although they did change the appearance of the display somewhat: there is no longer a dotted line beneath the blue header.
I used code from some existing pages for this; for example [[Open Source Portal]].
IAC, it's rather disconcerting to have a new page that I have just created be edited "out from under me." I truly appreciate your help, and accept it in that spirit, but if you don't mind, in the future, please send me a message (via my talk page) before doing that.
Thanks, | |||

:Yes, sorry... I tend to be overhasty when I see things in a non-userpage namespace where I think that it might be better in a different way (partly because I experienced the protection of pages just a view minutes after their creation, beeing grumpy afterwards that I didn't deploy my change faster[[Talk:Supported_Viewers|...]]). But that shouldn't be an excuse for that one... I can see that it is also annoying to loose an edit due to intermediate edits by other users or to become confused why a just created template looks different when included in another page. So I will try to give it more time to rest and/or leave talkpage comments instead.
:At the topic of the template: <nowiki><h2></nowiki> tagged items (or generally any <nowiki><hN></nowiki>) tagged item appears in the table of contents too. Another navbox style can be found at [[Template:OSWikiLearnBox]], in combination with [[Template:OSWikiFeatureNav]], to add additional items. Template:LSL Function/inventory/de
Hey I saw you ported Template:LSL Function/inventory/de, but I noticed you used the Template:AAn which is an English auto grammar template. I don't know if German has the same A/An grammar quirk. -- Strife (talk|contribs) 04:35, 22 November 2008 (UTC)
- Ah, you're right. It was the last thing I did before going to bed and then I forgot about it again. We don't have the exact same quirk but a similar problem. Depending on the "gender" of the noun, we'd use "ein" or "eine". Sound (Geräusch) is male and requires "ein Geräusch" (or "no sound" would be "kein Geräusch") while Texture (Textur) is female and requires "eine Textur" (or "no texture" would be "keine Textur"). I'm not yet able to see an easy work-around since there is no way to detect the "gender" of a noun via the string functions. So I think I'll just write "ein(e)" and "kein(e)" instead of adding additional parameters to the template or having a lookup again. Thx for reminding!

Deutsche in SL
Hi Zai, I'm about to update this article Deutsche in SL - Wo sind denn die Deutschen. Now I am wondering if it should be called "Deutsche Sprache in SL - Wo sind denn die Deutschen, Oesterreicher und Schweizer?" and if so I really will need some help with routing this article or however this is done ;)
BTW, thank you for removing the drama hehe --Torben Trautman 16:24, 7 December 2008 (UTC)
- Heyas Torben! =)
- I think that there is a more up-to-date version of this notecard in the German Linguists pavillion at SLVEC. It should be in the notecards backpack.
- @Content and naming: That might be a neat idea (can even write Österreicher with the Umlaut)! Though I got to admit that I'm not really connected to the German speaking community and therefor won't be able to give much input. But I'll have a look around and send you my findings. Besides that, the article should contain that even though there are places where lots of German speaking people are gathered together, many are integrated in the English speaking community.
- @Drama: very welcome ^_^

- LG, Lynch (talk|contribs) 16:46, 10 December 2008 (UTC)
Danke Zai :) Oh cool, so geht das :) *YAY* Ich trage die Umlaute gleich nach, der Computer auf dem ich das geschrieben hab wehrt sich mit Hard- und Software gegen den Treiber für die deutsche Tastatur... --Torben Trautman 17:24, 10 December 2008 (UTC)
Request completed!!
I've done translating the pages you requested. I'll be keep translating pages into Korean but I still don't know much about the wiki syntax. Can you please review my pages and check if they have any errors? (Teresia Renfold 01:04, 17 December 2008 (UTC))
- Heyas!
- Thank you bunches!!! =)
- I made a minor fix at 멘터 번역가/LSL 목차 L10n in order to make the template recognize the right base page and to Project:Languages/ko to fix the version. The rest looked perfect! I also took part in writing a Quickie Wiki Intro and made a video tutorial about translations in the Wiki, so that might help you when you're stuck somewhere. In case you got any questions or problems, always feel free to ask here =) Or write it in the edit summary and I'll have a look at it. Thanks again for the great and incredibly fast help!

Template:CountDown
OMG you are brilliant. I hadn't thought of exploiting the late execution of template parameters so that you could insert values into the center via variables. Logical next step... a bunch of templates already do this sort of thing... but still brilliant. -- Strife (talk|contribs) 08:11, 19 December 2008 (UTC)
Issues with your changes on Bug triage and Template:Triage_Template
Hi, first of all thanks for adding the templating system since as the person who most of the time seems to volunteer to deal with the week to week work for the Monday bug triage I'm happy for anything that will make things easier but it seems like there is an issue with how the new data is being spaced when filled out and copied over to the bug triage page. Not sure if anyone will fix it or whatever before you see it but my changes were to Bug_triage and Bug_triage/2008-12-29, on the bug triage page I just changed the last triage date to today's and then on the 12/29 page (for next week's meeting) I filled in the information I think correctly. If I did this wrong please let me know how to do it correctly. GW (T|C) -- 21:18, 22 December 2008 (UTC)
- Heyas & THX for the feedback! =)
- I'm not quite sure why the formatting was broken, but a minor tweak fixed it. I guess it should work fine from now on. I also thought about how to add an implementation that automatically adds the date of the last triage. I'll keep you posted on this since I think it wouldn't be to hard to do.
- Oh btw: can you have a look at Talk:Bug triage#chapter vs. category?
- Greetz =) Lynch (talk|contribs) 21:41, 22 December 2008 (UTC)
- Last triage should work now too =)
- I assumed that it's weekly and in case the monday (or wednesday) is a holiday, that it's postponed by (exactly) one week. It checks if a page is available for the agenda of the date one week before. In case there's none, then it sets the date to two weeks before. I can't use a loop (WEB-343) to do it multiple times so I thought 2 holidays in a row might be unlikely and can be edited by hand. Same with meetings that aren't postponed by a whole week but just for a few days. I think this covers most cases though :-) Keep in mind that it's cached and might need a null edit to display the latest links.
- Greetz, Lynch (talk|contribs) 23:39, 22 December 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for fixing that, it seems to work perfectly now. I have always considered myself pretty good at wiki markup but I'll admit that this is over my head. I replied on the talk page in regards to categorizing past triages which seems like a good idea but could have some issues. GW (T|C) -- 23:30, 23 December 2008 (UTC)
another issue (with lasttriage this time)
Sorry to bug you again right after the new year but it looks like something else has broken on your bug triage changes, this time with your attempts to automate the last triage date which I for the life of me can't even see where it's defined not to mention where to fix it or I would have done so myself. Happy new year btw. GW (T|C) -- 07:31, 2 January 2009 (UTC)
- Heyas Gordon! =)
- NP. The reason why the automatted linking displayed a red link is, that you set the next triage date to January 5th 2008. But we got 2009 now. Happy new year ^_^

slurl template idea
Zai, you may be interested in a little work I've been doing on a new slurl template. I have a test version up at User:Gordon_Wendt/sandbox which should work but is a bit crude and for some reason refuses to pass the third variable (the Z coord in the slurl) but it has an easy slurl link as well as a direct secondlife:// link (the d to the right of the address) if you want to play around with it. If you have any improvements on it (or can figure out how to get it to pass that variable correctly) feel free to edit it yourself as you would any other template... I only am keeping it in my space for now since I don't think it's ready for primetime at Template:Slurl or similar. GW (T|C) -- 09:20, 4 January 2009 (UTC)
- Heyas Gordon!
- I guess the reason why it doesn't like the last variable is that it needs a {{{4}}} for that. so 1 is the region, 2 is x, 3 y, 4 z. I think it's also needed to use the string function {{#urlencode:value}} for {{{1}}}, in case the name of the region contains a space. I added both. Though I also want to point out that Marv once wrote Template:SLurl to create SLURLs and that I recently added Template:SLURL2 to autoformat already existing SLURLs. I think we could add the direct linking to either or both.
- Lynch (talk|contribs) 09:30, 4 January 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks for making those changes, I didn't even think of the fact that regions with spacing could be an issue but good catch. The second one is great for it's purpose but that isn't so much for building slurls but for showing already formed slurls so my hope is for a Template:Slurl3 or something like that. GW (T|C) -- 04:37, 5 January 2009 (UTC)
- Yuss, the explicit variables definition seemed a lil unhandy for me too and it was a complained raised at the related talkpage (Btw: It doesn't have to be table like. It can also be used inline. The table style is just for easier recognizability in the example setup.). Marv appearently took this as a hint to create Template:SLurl/simple which works without explicit definition of variables. However, it's still unhandy from my point of view to have a variety of templates for this. So I took your syntax as a starting point for some changes in Template:SLurl which should increase the usability while it still remains backwards compatible. {{SLurl|Help Island Public}} for example will now result in Help Island Public (128, 128, 0)🖈. Also made a redirect from Template:Slurl and Template:SLURL so that the CamelCase is no source of error anymore.
- Can of course create Slurl3 nevertheless with plain link and direct TP link features. I think what the Wiki will need in the long run is some kind of Editors Toolbox page where useful templates are listed and got a short description (like done in the LSL Editing Primer but for templates which aren't LSL specific). Will try to think about some and add them too a sandboxed page until it grew to an article. Feel free to add anything useful.
- Lynch (talk|contribs) 19:29, 5 January 2009 (UTC)
- Released it into the Help namespace now. Help:Editors Toolbox.
- Lynch (talk|contribs) 04:32, 6 January 2009 (UTC)
- Although it looks kinda stupid to reply over and over to my own comment... -> Adding direct teleport links doesn't seem to be a benefit since direct linking from external pages seems to fail by design. See Harleen Gretzkys comment on WEB-437.
- Lynch (talk|contribs) 16:33, 7 January 2009 (UTC)
- Using that method yes it did fail because it was considered (incorrectly in my opinion) a security glitch but the direct link using secondlife:// acts just the same as going to the slurl site I believe but it saves you a step which makes it a lot easier both when you're not using sl and when you're already in sl. Please add! - Torley on 2009-02-02 @ 9:10 AM PST
- Hey there :-)
- I addded the Hippo, Linden Bear (of course!!), Linden Village, Nautilus City investigation, Rez (not sure if it should be kept in the cat...) articles, as well as the userpage of Magellan Linden. I'd also like to add Second Life Birthday, but - for no obvious reason - this article is protected. Maybe you can add the category and/or unprotect the article.
- Articles where I'm not sure if they should belong to the category:
- The Big Six - when you added SLetiquette, the big six might count as well
- Uberexplorer - a term made up by you? I'm not sure if it's used by others
- Town Hall - is currently just a stub...
- Tao of Linden - The article is protected and I'm not sure if it belongs to culture... Maybe it does, when The Big Six belong to culture too. Sidenote: I had a discussion about it with Phoenix. I think the article should be unprotected although it's a Linden policy. Why? The uneditable (protected) version of the tao(policy) is stored at http://lindenlab.com/about/tao. The Wiki article should contain additional information about the Tao, like history or additional links to Linden, Linden Lab, as well as a Help Header with a Glossary category.
- Sidenote about wiki syntax: You can create internal links to categories when you place a collon in as first character after the brackets. Like [[:Category:Glossary]].
- As for better organisation: I made the category a subcategory of Category:Help/Community. I hope that fits somehow =)
- Greetz, Lynch (talk|contribs) 18:32, 2 February 2009 (UTC)
- Good gosh, every time I chat with you, I learn something new! Thanks for educating me re:linking categories.
- "Uberexplorer" is something I made up for the fun of it. It's not common usage, unlike other terms I've had a role in popularizing (like "facelight", heh). I'll add whatever protected pages we deem fit, incl. SL birthday ones. ZAI YOU RULE. - Torley on 2009-02-03 @ 10:32 AM PST
- ALSO... I'd prefer to not add stubs until they get fleshed out with something useful. LL is currently working on a revised Tao of Linden so let's wait until that's published publicly. - Torley on 2009-02-03 @ 10:36 AM PST
- Very welcome (^_^) TY! Yeah I think stubs shouldn't be added. And can you add {{Help|Glossary=*}} to Second Life Birthday?
- Wow, the tao didn't survive for long then... It's just in place for hardly 2 month.
- CU tomorrow at the OH =) Greetz, Lynch (talk|contribs) 22:10, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
- Added. And null what I said — that IS the current Tao. Thanks also for the righttoc on Office Hours, I didn't know you could do that. Wiki-editing is a learning adventure! - Torley on 2009-02-05 @ 1:34 PM PST
- Very welcome! I recently wrote a page called Help:Editors Toolbox. It contains a list of some useful templates for this Wiki. {{RightToc}} is one of them. There are some 'Magic Words' in Mediawiki syntax. One of them is __TOC__. It forces the table of contents to appear on that specific position, instead of the default position. There are some more of these magic words (like __NOTOC__ which hides the table of contents completely). A list of them is stored in Mediawiki Help:Magic words. And yeah, I'm still learning too ^_^. Strife and Marv are the gurus around.

- Help:Editors Toolbox is a great page to promote and boost awareness of, then. And thanx for catching the MOTD collision. You're fast. - Torley on 2009-02-10 @ 5:48 PM PST
- I had written a mail to the SLDev and Second Life Volunteers mailing lists to promote the toolbox a little. So I hope the word is out to some editors and that others might find it in the Category:Help/Wiki.
- @MOTD: welcome ^^
- @Presentation: I added something to the article (click) but maybe you can reword it so it fits the style of the rest of the article. I experienced that's a useful trick for SL presentations.

Edits on in-progress pages
Thanks very much for your help with the template I am working on. I see your changes make sense, although they did change the appearance of the display somewhat: there is no longer a dotted line beneath the blue header.
I used code from some existing pages for this; for example Open Source Portal.
IAC, it's rather disconcerting to have a new page that I have just created be edited "out from under me." I truly appreciate your help, and accept it in that spirit, but if you don't mind, in the future, please send me a message (via my talk page) before doing that.
Thanks, Rand
- Yes, sorry... I tend to be overhasty when I see things in a non-userpage namespace where I think that it might be better in a different way (partly because I experienced the protection of pages just a view minutes after their creation, beeing grumpy afterwards that I didn't deploy my change faster...). But that shouldn't be an excuse for that one... I can see that it is also annoying to loose an edit due to intermediate edits by other users or to become confused why a just created template looks different when included in another page. So I will try to give it more time to rest and/or leave talkpage comments instead.
- At the topic of the template: <h2> tagged items (or generally any <hN>) tagged item appears in the table of contents too. Another navbox style can be found at Template:OSWikiLearnBox, in combination with Template:OSWikiFeatureNav, to add additional items. Dunno if that helps you with your template, but wanted to mention it in case you need it.
- Sorry again. Greetz, Lynch (talk|contribs) 22:18, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
- P.S:@"It can be a link only if the destination article title and text are the same, currently,"
- It should be possible to add [[foo|bar]] links too. They pipe | shouldn't be interpreted as additional template parameter. If it does tho nevertheless, you might use Template:! as a work around. like [[foo{{!}}bar]] but as far as I experienced it so far, it should really work the other way too...
- Lynch (talk|contribs) 22:26, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks for those tips, and thanks again for all your work! I'll take a closer look at the template when I have a sec.... Just to be clear, my request only applies to stuff I'm literally in the process of working on--say, anything I've edited in the last couple hours. Otherwise, I would consider it fair game! --Rand Linden 22:51, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
