Community Tools User Group
Revision as of 17:05, 8 June 2011 by Rolig Loon (talk | contribs)
The community tools user group exists to discuss and facilitate Resident involvement with:
- The Second Life Wiki
- Knowledge Base
- Blogs
- Forums
- Second Life Answers
We'll answer any questions and try to address any concerns with these resources.
Schedule
Every Thursday at 1pm PT at CTUG meeting spot in Beaumont.
Also see the calendar of public user group meetings.
Agenda
Agenda for the next user group meeting is:
- Linden Updates:
- Update on Forums/Blogs (Raymond/Lexie/Amanda)
- Update on SL Answers (Lexie)
- Update on Knowledge Base (Rand/Jeremy)
- Resi Adds:
- Reintroduction of the New Products Forum http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Forums-Blogs-Answers-and/New-Products-Forum/m-p/813779#M2926 (Peewee)
- Show names of the new Smileys when you put cursor over them in the selection box, in the same way that the old ones do. (Peewee)
- Requesting something for an infohub: is it this group as per last week's discussions, or via LDPW? (Adamburp "Lexie's Midnight Runners" Adamczyk)
- new user experience: have any of the Lindens tried this? ie making a new avatar? (Adamburp "Lexie's Midnight Runners" Adamczyk)
- Any news on replacement for Blondin? He ran some Community meetings. (Venus Petrov for 2 June CTUG)
- Any way to get a clear list of some of the biggest but least well known TOS violations in one place? (Cummere Mayo)
- Any way to get a clear list of some of the biggest TOS myths in one place? (ie: the tos "disclaimers that say if you im me you consent to me sharing your logs" (Cummere Mayo)
- Other Suggestions? Add 'em here.
- As a discussion item at least... The Fashion forum seems misplaced among the Creation forums. Very little in it has anything to do with creating fashion. It's mostly vanity threads. The creative stuff related to fashion has always been done in the Texturing forum (now Building and Texturing). Isn't there a better place for Fashion? (Rolig Loon -- Can't make it to CTUG meetings, sadly)
- General Discussion/Brainstorm:
- Continued discussion: (What is desirable in a hub? Keep for next meeting)
