The community tools user group exists to discuss and facilitate Resident involvement with:

  • The Second Life Wiki
  • Knowledge Base
  • Blogs
  • Forums
  • Second Life Answers

We'll answer any questions and try to address any concerns with these resources.

Schedule

Next meeting September 1, 2011 at 1pm PT at CTUG meeting spot in Beaumont.

Also see the calendar of public user group meetings.

Agenda

Agenda for the next user group meeting is:

KBnote.png Note: Meetings take place every 2 weeks

  • Linden Updates:
    • Update on Forums/Blogs (Lexie)
    • Update on SL Answers (Lexie)
    • Update on Knowledge Base (Rand/Jeremy)

  • Resi Adds:

    • FOR FOLLOW-UP - Show names of the new Smileys when you put cursor over them in the selection box, in the same way that the old ones do. (Peewee) No update yet - lexie
    • Idea to enable giving of kudos in other areas of the forum, possibly all. Ref: http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Forums-Feedback/Kudos-in-other-areas/m-p/993997 (Dresden)
    • When will Lexie attend another CTUG meeting? Is someone available to take decisions? (Venus)
    • Remove "versus" and "vs." from the word filter. (Dresden)
    • Would it be possible to have a sticky notice in the language-specific forums / answers section which informs residents that a basic understanding of the language spoken in the subforum is helpful and appreciated?
      • Many residents are very helpful, answering questions of other residents. Unfortunately the provided google translations are way less helpful then one may think and cause for continued discussion.
